Is facial hair linked to onfield performance for NFL players? Does a fully bearded Aaron Rodgers best a moustached Rodgers, who in turn is better than a (mostly) clean-shaven Rodgers?
When you run a fantasy football website, and probably any website really, you receive some unsolicited and off the wall emails. No one likes unsolicited email. Most of the time it goes right into the virtual trash. Sometimes however, you decide to read them. Sometimes, you follow up, and sometimes, the information is so “hair” brained (pun intended) you feel compelled to post about it on said-website.
Today is one of those days. I received an email last week from Wahl Grooming, maker of hair clippers and related men’s grooming tools about a fantasy football “study” they procured from Stats, Inc. Apparently, NFL players with facial hair produce better stats on the football field than their clean shaven counterparts! This has obvious implications fantasy football players. Check out the info graphic below for details.
Should we take it into consideration?!? Well, maybe not, but I thought it was worth a skim and a chuckle. Plus, Wahl takes it a step further by offering a free to enter fantasy football contest, in which you can win an entry in the 2015 National Fantasy Football Championship (NFFC). Now we’re talking. I’ll give it a go (assuming Canadians are eligible). If not me, then lets have one of our Draft Buddy members take home the prize. Good luck!
