Tier 1
Rob Gronkowski, NE 2.079.0As long he's healthy, Gronk is the #1 TE and a big advantage boost to your team. Right now he is healthy. Although the next 5-6 TE are very good, Gronk is still worth the mid to late-2nd premium pick required to draft him.
Travis Kelce, KC 4.048.5Kelce is dealing with some knee swelling in training camp, a worrisome early sign, but assuming he's healthy he established himself as a top tier TE last season. Could see more targets with the departure of Jeremy Maclin.
Jimmy Graham, SEA 5.108.0Once the Seahawks figured out how to use Graham properly it reminded us of his glory days with the Saints.
Tier 2
Tyler Eifert, CIN 6.098.7Eifert is great when he plays and deserves to be in this tier with these other top TE, but unfortunately missed a lot of time the past three seasons. Draft him and hold your breath.
Jordan Reed, WAS 5.078.7While we don't want to get too panicked at this point, Reed is surprisingly starting training camp on the PUP list with a toe injury, which is extra concerning in his case given his injury history. A super talent and golden opportunity with the WR departures on the Redskins, but the rub is the risk dropping Reed into the second tier of TE.
Greg Olsen, CAR 5.047.8There are seemingly more target options on the Panthers this season between the rookies and possibly improved Devin Funchess, but an improved Cam Newton should keep Olsen right where he should be among the top 3-5 TE.
Tier 3
Hunter Henry, LAC9.077.4Kid looks good and it really does seem Antonio Gates is passing the torch this season. Philip Rivers loves his TE. Perhaps unsustainable TD to target rate from last season but nice upside available here.
Kyle Rudolph, MIN8.067.9A reliable, heavily used target for Sam Bradford. Crushed his career highs in targets, receptions and yards last season and his situation hasn't changed much, except the running game should be better.
Zach Ertz, PHI 8.107.5Jordan Matthews is gone and Darren Sproles should have limited useage. Newly acquired LeGarrette Blount isn't going to catch many passes. Ertz should be able to match last year's numbers and some upside exists for more.
Tier 4
Martellus Bennett, GB 7.037.0As good a receiver as he can be there are a lot of mouths to feed in the Packers offense, so I am not expecting more than a so-so season from Bennett. In fact, I'm basically avoiding him in drafts.
Delanie Walker, TEN 7.098.1Walker has been Mr. Reliable for the Titans but he may not top 100 targets this season with the additions of Corey Davis, Eric Decker, and an improved running game.
Jack Doyle, IND 11.065.5Third receiver for the Colts appears to be a fantasy wasteland, and Doyle emerged as a nice target for Andrew Luck outlasting Coby Fleener who left last season and now Dwayne Allen is gone too.
Coby Fleener, NO13.115.1Similar story as other Saints receivers... many targets left town, Fleener could surprise after he struggled in his first year last season. Drew Brees continued to target him in the red zone even given his struggles. An ideal "fantasy owners were a year too early expecting a breakout" candidate.
Julius Thomas, MIA14.015.8Somewhat bullish on Thomas reunited with Adam Gase from his Denver days, although Jay Cutler is no Peyton Manning, obviously.
C.J. Fiedorowicz, HOU 5.3Fiedorowicz is moving up the pecking order with injuries to Will Fuller and Braxton Miller. Average but serviceable.
Eric Ebron, DET 12.115.9The departure of Anquan Boldin should mean good things for Ebron but I just don't trust him that much. I expect Theo Riddick to steal some of Ebron's thunder around the red zone.
Tier 5
Austin Hooper, ATL13.074.1Ready to make the leap in Year 2? Possible, but not terribly likely. An ideal backup selection for upside.
Jason Witten, DAL13.055.7
Austin Seferian-Jenkins, NYJ2.4Must serve a 2-game suspension to start the season.
Charles Clay, BUF 5.3
Jesse James, PIT3.2
