  • Marcus Mariota Has One Touchdown In Week 12

Atlanta Falcons quarterback Marcus Mariota struggled in the team's 19-13 Week 12 loss to the Washington Commanders. The veteran quarterback completed only 60% of his pass attempts for 174 yards, a touchdown, and an interception. He also added six rushing attempts for 49 yards on the ground. However, the former Oregon Duck had under 190 passing yards for the fourth straight game and the eighth time over the past nine weeks. Despite the appealing matchup against the Commanders, Mariota scored only 13.9 fantasy points. Hopefully, the veteran quarterback can bounce back next week against the Pittsburgh Steelers. Otherwise, the Falcons could make a change at quarterback after their Week 14 bye.

  • Taylor Heinicke Throws Two Touchdowns In Win

Washington Commanders quarterback Taylor Heinicke completed 14-of-23 passes for 138 yards with two touchdowns and one interception during Sunday's win over the Atlanta Falcons. In a game that was hampered by weather, Heinicke continued his stretch of unimpressive offensive play that leads to team wins. Throughout his time as the starter this season, the 29-year-old has won five-of-six starts. Heinicke is looking like a game-manager quarterback that keeps his team out of trouble for most of the game. With his recent production, he's looking like a QB2 the rest of the way.

  • Cordarrelle Patterson Quiet Against Washington

Atlanta Falcons running back Cordarrelle Patterson had a quiet performance in the team's 19-13 Week 12 loss to the Washington Commanders. The veteran running back had 11 rushing attempts for 52 yards in Week 12. Meanwhile, the rookie Tyler Allgeier also had 11 rushing attempts for 54 yards. However, Patterson had three receptions for 19 receiving yards, while the rookie didn't have a reception in the game. After being the featured back to start the year, the former first-round pick finds himself in a split backfield with Allgeier. More importantly, the veteran running back has averaged only 8.7 rushing attempts for 40.7 yards and 7.3 half-point PPR fantasy points over the past three weeks. Fantasy players should view Patterson as a limited flex option for the rest of the year.

  • Tyler Allgeier Limited Against Commanders

Atlanta Falcons running back Tyler Allgeier was limited in the team's 19-13 Week 12 loss to the Washington Commanders. The rookie running back had 11 rushing attempts for 54 yards, a team-high. Meanwhile, the veteran Cordarrelle Patterson also had 11 rushing attempts but for 52 yards in the game. However, the former BYU star didn't have a reception in the game, while the veteran back had three for 19 receiving yards. While he has back-to-back performances with over 50 rushing yards, Allgeier has averaged only 6.2 half-point PPR fantasy points per game over the past two weeks. More importantly, he has only one reception for nine yards during the span. The Atlanta backfield is 50-50 split, making Allgeier and Patterson limited flex options.

  • Antonio Gibson Totals 55 Scoreless Yards

Washington Commanders running back Antonio Gibson rushed nine times for 32 yards along with three receptions for 22 yards in Sunday's win over the Atlanta Falcons. After impressing in Week 11, Gibson came out with a dud in Week 12 as the Commanders continuously went back to Brian Robinson. The 24-year-old has been seeing receiving work out of the backfield, but he even fell off in that area as well, with Robinson seeing just as many targets. This backfield is looking like a crapshoot on a weekly basis with only one player benefitting during each game. While Gibson has plenty of talent, you never know what you're getting weekly, making him a high-risk play.

  • Brian Robinson Goes Over 100 Yards In Week 12

Washington Commanders running back Brian Robinson had 18 carries for 105 yards along with two receptions for 20 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's win over the Atlanta Falcons. After looking like the second man in this backfield just a week ago, the rookie took over in Week 12. Robinson posted the first 100-yard performance of his career while also seeing solid usage in the receiving game as he scored Washington's first touchdown of the day on a 14-yard pass from quarterback Taylor Heinicke. This was a strong performance from Robinson that he should be able to build on if he continues to see this kind of workload.

  • Drake London Held To 29 Yards

Atlanta Falcons wide receiver Drake London had a disappointing performance in the team's 19-13 Week 12 loss to the Washington Commanders. The rookie wide receiver had only four targets in the game, finishing third on the team behind Olamide Zaccheaus (eight) and Cordarrelle Patterson (five). Furthermore, the former USC star caught only two of his targets for 29 receiving yards in the game. After scoring a touchdown in two straight games, London got kept out of the end zone in Week 12. With Kyle Pitts (knee) on injured reserve, fantasy players were hopeful the rookie would earn more targets this week. Instead, he had fewer than five targets for the fourth time this season. Maybe things will turn around next week for London against the Pittsburgh Steelers.

  • Olamide Zaccheaus Has His Best Game Of The Year

Atlanta Falcons wide receiver Olamide Zaccheaus had his best performance of the year in the team's 19-13 Week 12 loss to the Washington Commanders. The veteran receiver had a season-high five receptions on eight targets in the game. Over the first 11 games this season, the receiver had four or fewer targets in every contest. Furthermore, Zaccheaus scored a season-high 11.6 half-point PPR fantasy points in Week 12. By comparison, he was averaging 7.7 fantasy points per game before Sunday's matchup against Washington. While he had a productive performance, fantasy players shouldn't expect similar production from Zaccheaus moving forward.

  • Terry McLaurin Disappoints In Favorable Matchup

Washington Commanders wide receiver Terry McLaurin caught four-of-six targets for 48 yards along with one carry for five yards in Sunday's win over the Atlanta Falcons. While McLaurin was Washington's leader in receptions and receiving yards, the performance was one of his lowest yardage totals of the season. With Taylor Heinicke as his quarterback, the 27-year-old is seeing much more work. However, the ceiling for large performances has been fairly low as of late with Heinicke operating as a game manager for this offense. McLaurin should have better performances down the road, but his last two weeks have been pretty mediocre.

  • Curtis Samuel A Low-End Flex Option In Week 12

Washington Commanders wide receiver Curtis Samuel has been on a rough stretch. After starting the season on a hot streak, he's continuously seen a decrease in targets every week. He saved his day in Week 11 with a rushing touchdown, but the trend is concerning for his rest-of-season outlook. Washington is facing a rough Atlanta Falcons defense that has allowed the second most fantasy points per game to opposing wide receivers this season. Even with the recent lack of usage for the sixth-year receiver, we should still consider him a low-end flex option due to the favorable matchup.

  • MyCole Pruitt Finds The End Zone

Atlanta Falcons tight end MyCole Pruitt scored the only touchdown of the day in the team's 19-13 Week 12 loss to the Washington Commanders. The veteran tight end had no fantasy impact before Sunday, seeing four targets over the first 11 weeks this year. However, he ended the game catching two of his three targets for nine receiving yards and the four-yard touchdown reception in the second quarter. While the veteran tight end found the end zone, fantasy players shouldn't consider Pruitt a streaming option next week. With Kyle Pitts (knee) out for at least the next three games, if not longer, there isn't an Atlanta tight end worth a spot on your roster.

Washington Commanders tight end Logan Thomas (ribs, illness) will be active for the Week 12 matchup against the Atlanta Falcons. He missed practice time this week due to a ribs issue and minor illness. The 31-year-old is feeling good enough to play on Sunday, which is good news for this offense. Last week, Thomas hauled in five of his six targets for 65 yards. Outside of that, Thomas has struggled to produce on a weekly basis. He'll be a desperation deep league play for this Week 12 matchup.
