  • Cade Otton Putting On A Show In Camp

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers drafted rookie tight end Cade Otton 106th overall to join veteran Cameron Brate and future Hall of Famer Rob Gronkowski. Things changed, however, when Gronkowski announced his retirement, prompting the team to sign veteran tight end Kyle Rudolph. There are a lot of bodies to fill this position, but Otton has by far the most upside and untapped potential. Otton has reportedly flashed in camp and gained quarterback Tom Brady's trust, which is typically a difficult task for a rookie. With Chris Godwin (knee) potentially missing time to start the season, Mike Evans (hamstring) currently sidelined and a host of unproven options behind them, Otton has a chance to secure a meaningful role entering Week 1, making him a player to add to your watch list.

  • Kyle Rudolph To Inherit Most Of Rob Gronkowski's Workload

Tampa Bay Buccaneers tight end Kyle Rudolph figures to inherit the bulk of Rob Gronkowski's workload this year. Rudolph played 48 percent of the offensive snaps for the New York Giants last year and is smart, durable and versatile; he's the perfect Y or in-line tight end who can run block and catch passes. The Bucs also seem prepared to give Cameron Brate a larger role to help make up for the loss of Gronk's 55 catches, 802 yards and six touchdowns in 2021. Rudolph only caught 26 passes for 257 yards and one touchdown in the Giants' bad offense a year ago, and in the end, he might just be keeping the seat warm for one of the team's rookie tight ends. Both Rudolph and Brate might have better seasons in 2022 for Tampa, but the two of them figure to lower each other's ceiling, making them inconsistent touchdown-dependent tight end streamers.

  • Kyle Rudolph Signs One-Year Deal With Buccaneers

Former Minnesota Vikings and New York Giants veteran free-agent tight end Kyle Rudolph signed an undisclosed one-year deal with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on Wednesday, according to a source. Quarterback Tom Brady gets a new toy just before training camp, while Cameron Brate's fantasy value takes a hit. Rudolph will help make up for the losses of O.J. Howard and Rob Gronkowski (retired for now). The 32-year-old has made the Pro Bowl twice, but he's likely past his prime and will most likely be an inconsistent touchdown-dependent TE2 while sharing snaps with Brate. In his lone season with New York in 2021, Rudolph had just 26 receptions for 257 yards and one touchdown in 16 games in a bad Giants offense.

  • Vikings, Buccaneers Interested In TE Kyle Rudolph

It sounds like Kyle Rudolph‘s market is starting to heat up. ESPN’s Field Yates reports (via Twitter) that the veteran tight end has drawn interest from “multiple teams.” His known suitors include the Buccaneers and the Vikings. Fowler expects Rudolph to land somewhere before the start of training camp. The Giants inked Rudolph to a […]

  • Buccaneers, Vikings Interested In Kyle Rudolph

Free-agent tight end Kyle Rudolph has been receiving interest from multiple teams ahead of training camp this month. According to sources, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers have been involved, and a reunion with the Minnesota Vikings isn't off the table. Rudolph should find a new home sometime before training camps kick off at the end of July. The 32-year-old was released by the New York Giants in March after he caught 26 passes on 39 targets for 257 yards and one touchdown in 16 games in New York's anemic offense. In Tampa, he'd be competing with Cameron Brate for pass-catching duties, while in Minnesota, he'd be an insurance policy for Irv Smith Jr. Rudolph is a nice red-zone threat because of his size, but he won't be on the fantasy radar in 12-team leagues unless he becomes a team's primary pass-catching TE.
