  • Emmanuel Sanders Has Solid Day In Week 11 Win

New Orleans Saints wide receiver Emmanuel Sanders caught four of five targets for 66 yards in a 24-9 win over the Falcons. It was a good day for Sanders, who connected on a big, 44-yard pass play with new starter Taysom Hill. Unfortunately, Sanders' 57-yard touchdown grab was negated by a penalty. Still, Hill's willingness to chuck the ball down the field could be great for the veteran wideout's fantasy value moving forward. Sanders will get a chance for revenge next week against his former team, the Broncos, who have had some problems in their secondary this year.

  • Emmanuel Sanders Sees Only One Target

New Orleans Saints wide receiver Emmanuel Sanders managed one reception for five yards on one target in Week 10. Sanders continues to be very streaky this year, as he posted only five yards after also posting 122 and 93 yards this season. As a result, he's more of a risky flex piece going forward given the size of his role could fluctuate each week and that doesn't create the consistency needed for fantasy.

  • Emmanuel Sanders A Flex Play

New Orleans Saints wide receiver Emmanuel Sanders is a flex play this week against San Francisco. Sanders had four receptions for 38 yards and a score on five targets last week and only has one 100-yard game this season. The WR has been anything but consistent when he has played and his numbers are sometimes way too low for fantasy purposes (18- yard and 15-yard games). As a result, Sanders is only a flex play at best against a 49ers team that ranks in the middle against fantasy wideouts.

  • Emmanuel Sanders Scores For Third Time This Year

New Orleans Saints wide receiver Emmanuel Sanders hauled in four of five targets for 38 yards and a touchdown in a 38-3 win over the Buccaneers. Sanders helped the Saints cash in on their first points of the second quarter, as he brought in a red zone score. The veteran wideout probably won't have many games where he sees 14 targets- as he did in the Chargers game- though he is a much-needed playmaker for the Saints as their second wideout. He'll surely have games where he can provide flex value. Perhaps Sanders will be feeling motivated to face his former team, the 49ers, in Week 10.

  • Michael Thomas, Emmanuel Sanders On Track To Play

New Orleans Saints wide receiver Michael Thomas (ankle, hamstring) practiced again on Thursday and is close to returning to the lineup for the first time since suffering a high-ankle sprain in Week 1. Emmanuel Sanders said he will definitely play in Week 9 against the Buccaneers after being activated from the COVID-19 list this week. Thomas, the overall WR1 in 2019, will have a tough matchup against Tampa, a team that held him to three catches for 17 yards in Week 1, but he was also injured in that game. If fully healthy, Thomas should easily exceed those numbers as a must-start fantasy wideout. Sanders has missed the last two games but blew up in his last game action, but that was also without Thomas on the field. The veteran pass-catcher will be a shaky WR4/flex in deeper leagues in his return.

  • Emmanuel Sanders Back At Practice

New Orleans Saints wide receiver Emmanuel Sanders was back at practice on Wednesday after missing the last two games while on the Reserve/COVID-19 list. If both Sanders and Michael Thomas (ankle, hamstring) return on Sunday night against the Buccaneers, the Saints will have all their top playmakers on the field together for the first time since the season-opener against Tampa. Sanders has been hit or miss for fantasy managers this year, but he was a big hit in his last game in Week 5 against the Chargers, catching 12 of 14 targets for 122 yards. The 33-year-old's ceiling will be limited if Thomas is back in the fold and eating up targets, but Sanders can at least be a consideration as a WR4/flex in deeper formats.

  • Emmanuel Sanders Will Miss Sunday's Game

New Orleans Saints wide receiver Emmanuel Sanderswill be absent from Sunday's contest versus Chicago, marking his second consecutive game out of the mix. Prior to hitting the COVID-19 list, Sanders reeled off his best performance of the year with a 12-catch, 122-yard outing versus the Chargers, with his absence creating an opening in the receiver ranks for the Saints. With Michael Thomas (ankle, hamstring) returning to practice Thursday, New Orleans may have some reinforcements against a stout Bears Defense, but Sanders' next chance to return to action comes next Sunday against Tampa Bay. The nature of the virus puts Sanders' availability up in the air, so check back for updates on his status as they emerge.

  • Emmanuel Sanders Placed On Reserve-COVID List

The New Orleans Saints have placed wide receiver Emmanuel Sanders (COVID) on the Reserve-COVID list. Following the move, he will be forced to miss Sunday's game against the Carolina Panthers. The move doesn't necessarily mean Sanders tested positive for COVID as he could have just been in contact with someone who tested positive. Regardless, Sanders should be removed from all fantasy starting lineups this week. Michael Thomas (hamstring) is questionable for the game, but whether or not Thomas plays, Tre'Quan Smith and tight end Jared Cook should see an increase in targets in the game with Sanders out.

  • Emmanuel Sanders Posts Season-High 12 Catches, 122 Yards

New Orleans Saints wide receiver Emmanuel Sanders caught 12 of 14 targets for 122 receiving yards in a 30-27 victory over the Chargers. Sanders' stats were all season-highs and it could have been an even bigger day, as he was tackled at the one-yard line. It's his biggest statistical output since, ironically enough, his huge game against the Saints last year as a member of the 49ers. Over the last three weeks, Sanders has averaged 9.3 targets, 7.3 receptions and 90.3 receiving yards. He has found his niche in this offense and should be looked at as a WR3 option moving forward, regardless of the status of Michael Thomas (ankle). Sanders gets a Week 6 bye to rest his 33-year-old body.

  • Emmanuel Sanders A Low-End WR3 In Week 5

New Orleans Saints wide receiver Emmanuel Sanders has found his footing recently in the Saints' offense. Sanders has at least five targets in his last two games and has eclipsed 50 receiving yards in each of them, along with one touchdown scored. The veteran wideout probably has limited upside at this point in his career, though he has flashed a pretty safe floor in the last two games, particularly in PPR formats. Even if teammate Michael Thomas (ankle) returns, the team is unlikely to pepper him with targets, making Sanders a good play regardless of Thomas' status.

  • Emmanuel Sanders Get Season-High 93 Yards

New Orleans Saints wide receiver Emmanuel Sanders stepped up in the Week 4 win over the Lions, getting six receptions for 93 yards on nine targets. It seems Sanders and Drew Brees are starting to build a rapport and that bodes well for the WR, who posted season-highs in receptions, targets, and yards in Week 4. Even when injured wideout Michael Thomas comes back, Sanders should still have value in this passing game. He can be considered in the low-end WR2 or high-end WR3 tier going forward with a chance to increase his value if he shows consistently decent numbers.

  • Emmanuel Sanders A Flex Option In Week 4

New Orleans Saints wide receiver Emmanuel Sanders is a flex option in Week 4 against a Detroit team allowing the 10th most points to fantasy receivers. Sanders has had a disappointing start with the Saints, only seeing 15 and 18 yards in the first two weeks before finally getting 56 yards and a score in Week 3. The veteran offered an encouraging performance the last time he took the field, but it remains to be seen if that can become consistent. On top of that, the potential return of Michael Thomas would likely decrease his value too. Therefore, he's only a flex at best.

  • Emmanuel Sanders Has Best Game Of Season

New Orleans Saints wide receiver Emmanuel Sanders caught four of five targets for 56 receiving yards and a touchdown against the Packers. Sanders enjoyed his best game of the season in Week 3, as he was Drew Brees' favorite pass-catcher besides Alvin Kamara. Brees found Sanders in the end zone for a touchdown right before the end of the first half. The veteran wideout probably could have had more if Brees had been able to get the ball downfield to him, though it's still a solid performance for him to build upon. Depending on the status of Michael Thomas (ankle), Sanders could have flex value against a struggling Lions Defense.

  • Emmanuel Sanders A WR4 In Week 3

New Orleans Saints wide receiver Emmanuel Sanders faces off with the Packers in Week 3. Sanders saw the second-highest number of snaps in Week 2 against the Raiders, but was third in wide receiver targets behind Tre'Quan Smith and Deonte Harris. This makes the veteran wideout hard to trust against Green Bay, despite the fact that they rank 22nd in fantasy points allowed to opposing wideouts. While both Sanders and Smith are obviously risky, Sanders is even more volatile right now considering he saw so few targets in Week 2. Sanders is in the WR4 range for Week 3.

  • Emmanuel Sanders Musters Only One Catch

New Orleans Saints wide receiver Emmanuel Sanders only managed one reception for 18 yards on three targets in the Week 2 loss to the Raiders. It was certainly a disappointing performance for the temporary WR1 of the Saints as Drew Brees even eclipsed 300 passing yards. Sanders will look to get back on track in Week 3 against the Packers, but his value should be downgraded to a flex considering his Week 2 struggles.

Sep 21 · Source via Saints Emmanuel Sanders
  • Emmanuel Sanders A Low-End WR3/Flex For Week 2

New Orleans Saints wide receiver Emmanuel Sanders remains in the WR3/flex conversation for Week 2. It was a rather disappointing New Orleans debut for the veteran, as he only managed three receptions on five targets for 15 yards in Week 1. With Michael Thomas now out for a few weeks, Sanders could see his volume increase, but it's unclear how large his role will be considering Alvin Kamara and Jared Cook would likely see more targets. Consider Sanders a low WR3 or flex piece for Week 2.

  • Emmanuel Sanders Saves Face With Touchdown

New Orleans Saints wide receiver Emmanuel Sanders posted just 15 receiving yards on three catches in Week 1. Sanders managed to salvage his day a bit with a late touchdown, though it was not a great performance. All of the Saints pass-catchers not named Alvin Kamara or Jared Cook seemed to struggle in this one, a game head coach Sean Payton called one of his worst as a play-caller. It's reasonable to give Payton and the Saints the benefit of the doubt, especially in a season with no preseason games. Sanders gets a prime bounce-back spot in Week 2 against a beatable Raiders defensive backfield.

Sep 13 · Source via Saints Emmanuel Sanders
  • Emmanuel Sanders Risky Despite Good Matchup

New Orleans Saints wide receiver Emmanuel Sanders gets a good matchup against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, though he comes with some risk. Sanders is now 33, playing in a new offense with a new quarterback after an offseason with no preseason games. It helps that he enjoyed a strong training camp this year and that much of the defensive attention will be directed towards fellow wideout Michael Thomas in Week 1. Sanders could be a sneaky tournament play, but there are probably better options on fantasy rosters in redraft leagues.
