Mike's Thoughts: Rodgers moves up on the news he is expected to play for the Packers this season. I might move him ahead of Murray, who could run less, but still want to be a bit careful with Rodgers in case the saga takes yet another turn. Not a major concern but the Packers will be motivated to get Jordan Love some game action at some point. Drafted Rodgers 1.12 (12) in 12-team Superflex best ball (FFPC format) in early-August.

5 Tom Brady, TB 9 44.2 7.06 24.8

Mike's Thoughts: Drafted Brady 8.05 (75) in a 1QB 10-team best ball on 7/21. Drafted Brady 6.07 (67) in a 1QB 12-team PPR on 8/11.

6 Dak Prescott, DAL 7 28.2 6.03 30.4

Mike's Thoughts: Fantasy analysts are extremely bullish on Prescott given all of his weapons, a ridiculous start to the 2020 season before the ankle injury, and what looks to be a pretty poor defense. I'm a little more cautious since it seems premature expecting him to be fully healthy and in a good rhythm returning from that grewsome injury.

  • Tom Brady Throws For 297 Yards, Two Scores In Thursday's Win

Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback Tom Brady completed 34 of 42 passes for 297 yards with two touchdowns and an interception in Thursday's win over the Eagles. Seemingly unbothered by his thumb injury, Brady led two touchdown drives in the opening quarter, completing 11 of his first 12 passes. While the offense stalled a bit after that, it was still a solid day for the veteran signal-caller, who has thrown for 2,064 yards, 17 touchdowns, and just three interceptions through six weeks of play. Brady told reporters in the postgame that he felt fine physically, so the thumb should be of no concern for fantasy managers moving forward. Up next is a tough Week 7 matchup with the Bears, who rank fourth in pass DVOA.

  • Tom Brady Expected To Play Thursday Against Eagles

Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback Tom Brady (thumb), who got in two limited practices this week, is fully expected to play Thursday against the Eagles. Brady's status for the contest was never really in doubt, as he was able to play through the injury to the tune of five passing touchdowns and over 400 yards through the air last week. The veteran passer won't be 100 percent against Philadelphia but should still look mostly like the quarterback who has thrown for a league-leading 1,767 passing yards and 15 touchdowns, second in the NFL. Brady faces an Eagles defense that has been solid against the pass this year but struggled against a Cowboys offense with weapons similar to the ones Tampa Bay possesses. Brady should be viewed as a solid QB1 this week.

  • Tom Brady's Thumb Wrapped On Tuesday

Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback Tom Brady (thumb) had his right thumb wrapped again on Tuesday, but he's expected to be fine for the Thursday night game against the Philadelphia Eagles in Week 6. Brady was listed as a limited participant on Monday's estimated practice report after injuring his thumb in the Week 5 win over the Miami Dolphins, but head coach Bruce Arians said the injury shouldn't prevent the future Hall of Famer from playing this Thursday. The 44-year-old signal-caller wasn't affected by the thumb injury in the win over Miami, throwing for over 400 yards and a season-high five touchdowns. We'll keep monitoring Brady's thumb, but plan on keeping him in all starting lineups for Week 6.

  • Tom Brady Listed As Limited Monday

Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback Tom Brady (thumb) would have been a limited participant had the team practiced Monday. The Buccaneers released an estimated practice report, which listed Brady, who suffered a thumb injury on his throwing hand during Sunday's victory over Miami, as limited. Of course, the veteran signal-caller didn't appear to be affected in the slightest by the ailment, as he picked apart the Dolphins defense to the tune of 411 yards and five touchdowns. Head coach Bruce Arians said he expects Brady "will be fine by Thursday." Fantasy managers will likely be able to count on the six-time Super Bowl champ for solid QB1 production once again in Week 6.

  • Tom Brady Dealing With Thumb Injury

Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback Tom Brady (thumb) was dealing with an injury in the middle of Sunday's game against the Miami Dolphins, as he was spotted with his hand in ice on the sidelines. It is not believed to be serious, as Ian Rapoport reports that the issue doesn't put his status for Thursday night into question. It could be something to monitor as the week progresses, but as of now, there is no cause for concern. Brady will remain a solid QB1 option against the Philadelphia Eagles in Week 6 and can be started with confidence.

  • Tom Brady Will Revisit Negotiations In Offseason

Seven-time Super Bowl-winning quarterback Tom Brady and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers are expected to revisit extension talks next offseason, according to Jason La Canfora of CBS Sports. The legendary 44-year-old has plenty left in the tank and appears to be very interested in remaining with Tampa Bay after his contract expires next year. He is making $25.5 this season and will earn $23.9 million in 2022. So far this season, the 22-year veteran has completed 119 passes for 1,356 yards, 10 touchdowns, and two interceptions. He should be rostered and started in all leagues due to his extreme talent and very strong supporting cast.

  • Tom Brady - Week 5 Outlook for Fantasy Football

Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback Tom Brady is a QB1 against the Dolphins in Week 5. Brady has been terrific this season but has certainly slowed down in the past couple of weeks. Last week, the QB managed 269 yards in the anticipated matchup against his former team New England. Nevertheless, Brady has 10 touchdowns to two picks this season and has been decent overall. With a plethora of weapons and a Miami defense that is average against fantasy QBs, Brady is a fantastic play in Week 5.

  • Tom Brady Held Scoreless In Win Over Patriots

Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback Tom Brady completed 22 of 43 passing attempts for 269 yards in a 19-17 win over the Patriots. Brady didn't exactly fill up the box score in his return to Foxborough, though he did make history, surpassing Drew Brees on the NFL's all-time passing yards list with a 28-yard completion to Mike Evans in the first quarter. While it was disappointing to see a zero in the touchdown column, Brady still attempted 43 passes, giving him an average of 46 through the first four weeks of play, something that doesn't appear likely to change with the Buccaneers defensive backfield in shambles. The veteran signal-caller looks poised for a bounce-back performance next week against the Dolphins.

  • Tom Brady A Strong QB1 For Must-See Matchup Against Patriots

Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback Tom Brady will take on his former team, the Patriots, in Week 4. Brady, who is playing excellent football, will be motivated to take on the only team he knew for the first 20 years of his career. The star signal-caller ranks first in touchdowns, 10, and second in passing yards, 1,087, through three weeks ahead of a matchup with New England's defense, which has allowed the sixth-fewest fantasy points per game to quarterbacks. Still, the Patriots have yet to face a quarterback of Brady's caliber this season, and the future Hall of Famer is playing too well to even consider sitting him in fantasy football. Another strong QB1 performance seems to be in the cards for Brady in Week 4.

  • Tom Brady Tosses For 432 Yards

Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback Tom Brady went 41-for-55 for 432 yards and one touchdown in the Sunday loss to the Rams. Brady has been on fire to start the season and this loss doesn't diminish the excellent numbers he has been putting up to start the season. He's now tossed for at least 379 yards in two of three games while tossing five touchdowns last week. Next up is a match against former team New England, meaning Brady will be a solid start as there may be a bit more motivation when playing his old squad.

  • Tom Brady A Low-End QB1 Against Rams

Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback Tom Brady is a low-end QB1 against the Rams this week. Brady has been phenomenal to start the season, throwing for 655 yards, nine touchdowns, and two picks in just two games. The 44-year-old has shown no signs of slowing down and this week's contest against Los Angeles could likely be high-scoring. Even though the Rams have a tough defense and have been stingy against fantasy QBs, the incredible way Brady has been playing merits him as a starting option this week.

  • Tom Brady A Strong Option Against Falcons

Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback Tom Brady gets a great matchup against the Falcons in Week 2. Brady did have two turnovers but otherwise put together a strong game against the Cowboys, throwing for 379 yards and four scores. The Falcons offense may not be able to keep pace with the Buccaneers, meaning less volume- though Brady should be plenty efficient against a Falcons unit that allowed the most passing yards last year as well as the eighth-highest completion percentage. They were also picked apart by Jalen Hurts in Week 1. Brady should have no problem posting QB1 numbers against Atlanta.

  • Tom Brady Tosses For 379 Yards

Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback Tom Brady finished Thursday's win over Dallas by going 32-for-50 for 379 yards, four touchdowns, and two picks. The 44-year-old didn't look one bit his age on Thursday and showcased why he can still play for multiple years going forward. With a collection of elite receiving weapons, Brady figures to remain in the QB1 mix most weeks during the season. Up next is a matchup against division rival Atlanta in Week 2.

  • Tom Brady A QB1 In Week 1

Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback Tom Brady is a fantastic start in Week 1 of the 2021 season as he goes up against a Cowboys team that fielded an abysmal defensive unit last season. Dallas allowed the 14th-most fantasy points to quarterbacks in 2020. Brady, though 44, has shown no signs of slowing down and finished an impressive run to the championship in which it was later revealed he played on a torn MCL. He amassed 4,633 yards last season to go along with 40 touchdowns, both season-highs in the past five seasons. With his cast of talented offensive weapons returning in 2021, Brady has a chance to shine in fantasy right from the get-go.

  • Tom Brady Raves About Connection With Mike Evans

Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback Tom Brady spoke fondly of veteran wide receiver Mike Evans on Tuesday. "I think we have a great connection and it's only going to get better," explained the veteran quarterback. Evans, a seven-year veteran and three-time Pro Bowler, caught 70 passes for 1,006 yards and 13 touchdowns last season. He exited several games early but still managed to make 16 starts. This season, the former first-round pick figures to be a low-end WR2 in a crowded receiving corps. However, he offers upside given his red-zone ability and the fact that he was able to spend an entire preseason working with Brady this year.

  • O.J. Howard Praised By Tom Brady

Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback Tom Brady spoke highly of tight end O.J. Howard (Achilles) on Tuesday afternoon. The veteran signal-caller noted that Howard has worked really hard to prepare for Week 1 following his injury. Brady also expects a big season out of the 26-year-old. Through just four games last season, the former first-round pick caught 11 passes for 146 yards and two touchdowns. Going forward, he represents an intriguing option in deeper fantasy leagues. While Howard is stuck behind Rob Gronkowski on the depth chart, he's involved in a high-powered offense and would see a very significant workload if Gronkowski were to miss time.

  • Tom Brady Had COVID-19 Back In February

Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback Tom Brady tested positive for COVID-19 back in February. "I actually think it's going to play more of a factor this year than last year, just because of the way what we're doing now and what the stadium is going to look like and what the travel is going to look like and the people in the building and the fans," Brady said. "It's not like last year, although we're getting tested like last year. It's going to be, I definitely think guys are going to be out at different points, and we've just got to deal with it." The 44-year-old also underwent knee surgery in February but looked ready for the regular season after completing 11-for-14 with 154 yards and one touchdown in the exhibition finale against the Houston Texans. Fantasy managers can select Brady with confidence as a low-end QB1 in upcoming fantasy drafts.

  • Tom Brady Goes For 154 Yards Against Texans

Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback Tom Brady finished Saturday's preseason finale win against the Texans by going 11-for-14 with 154 yards and one touchdown. Brady paced the team's QBs on Saturday and looked ready for the regular season with this solid performance. Though the talented QB didn't play much at all in the preseason, he won't have to wait long to play more as the Bucs' first regular-season matchup against the Cowboys is 10 days away. Brady should be considered in the low-end QB1 tier in drafts as he has shown no signs of slowing down.

  • Tom Brady Likely To Play A Drive Or Two On Saturday

It appears likely that Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback Tom Brady will see some action this Saturday as the team takes on the Cincinnati Bengals. Buccaneers head coach Bruce Arians told the media that everyone would play in the first preseason game this coming weekend. Regarding Brady specifically, Arians said that it is currently "wait and see," but that it was likely Brady would play a drive or two in the game. Brady is coming off yet another dominant season in which he threw for 4,633 yards, 40 touchdowns and 12 interceptions. With many of his weapons returning in 2021, he could yet again be a late round steal in fantasy drafts.

  • Tom Brady Practicing Without Brace

Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback Tom Brady (knee) practiced without a brace on his surgically repaired knee on Monday. Brady is looking great so far in training camp after playing through an MCL tear in 2020. The future Hall of Famer underwent surgery in February but took part in June minicamp and is ready to go for his second season in Tampa. Brady obviously has a lower QB1 ceiling because he doesn't use his legs for extra yardage, but with all of his offensive weapons returning from a championship run a year ago, he should at least provide stable low-end QB1 numbers if he can stay healthy. And the fact that the 43-year-old looks healthy after recent knee surgery should ease the minds of those considering drafting him.

  • Tom Brady "Looks Great" At Camp

Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback Tom Brady (knee) was on the field for the first day of training camp on Sunday. "Oh, he looks great," head coach Bruce Arians reported when asked about how the seven-time Super Bowl winner appeared. Brady had minor surgery to repair the MCL in his left knee back in February, an ailment he sustained during his final season in New England. Nonetheless, the latest report is good news for fantasy managers, and Brady should remain a top option at the position heading into the season, especially with so many weapons at his disposal on the offensive end.

  • Tom Brady's Trainer Expects Two More Years From Him

Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback Tom Brady's personal trainer/life coach/diet guru Alex Guerrero said he expects Brady to play at least two more seasons in the NFL, which would allow him to fulfill his goal of playing in the NFL until the age of 45. At this point, we wouldn't put anything past the GOAT, especially after he just won his seventh Super Bowl ring in his first year in Tampa... on a fully torn MCL no less. Brady continues to defy expectations at the QB position at 43 years old after throwing for 4,633 yards and 40 touchdowns in 2020 to finish as the QB7 in fantasy leagues. Betting against Brady has proven to be pretty dumb, but even with the entire offense returning, Tom Terrific should be drafted as a low-end QB1 because of his lack of rushing ability at the position.
