Tier 1
2 Josh Allen, BUF 7 25.5 3.09 28.5

Mike's Thoughts: It is well documented how much Allen worked after the 2019 season that led to a huge improvement in 2020. So, I'm not expecting him to backslide in 2021. He hasn't got the weapons of Patrick Mahomes (Travis Kelce) and plays in a tougher division, but I don't see the drop-off from Mahomes as that significant. Drafted Allen 4.05 (35) in a 1QB 10-team best ball on 7/20. Drafted Allen 5.08 (56) in RazzBowl on 7/27.

Tier 2
3 Lamar Jackson, BAL 8 24.8 5.03 25.0
4 Aaron Rodgers, GB 13 37.9 5.09 27.2

Mike's Thoughts: Rodgers moves up on the news he is expected to play for the Packers this season. I might move him ahead of Murray, who could run less, but still want to be a bit careful with Rodgers in case the saga takes yet another turn. Not a major concern but the Packers will be motivated to get Jordan Love some game action at some point. Drafted Rodgers 1.12 (12) in 12-team Superflex best ball (FFPC format) in early-August.

5 Tom Brady, TB 9 44.3 7.06 24.8

Mike's Thoughts: Drafted Brady 8.05 (75) in a 1QB 10-team best ball on 7/21. Drafted Brady 6.07 (67) in a 1QB 12-team PPR on 8/11.

6 Dak Prescott, DAL 7 28.3 6.03 30.4

Mike's Thoughts: Fantasy analysts are extremely bullish on Prescott given all of his weapons, a ridiculous start to the 2020 season before the ankle injury, and what looks to be a pretty poor defense. I'm a little more cautious since it seems premature expecting him to be fully healthy and in a good rhythm returning from that grewsome injury.

  • Aaron Rodgers Will Play In Week 12

Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers (toe) will play on Sunday against the Los Angeles Rams in Week 12 despite not practicing at all this week. Rodgers is dealing with a fractured pinkie toe and is just trying to get to the team's Week 13 bye to rest up. The 37-year-old signal-caller wasn't really hampered by his injured toe in the Week 11 loss to the Minnesota Vikings, throwing for a season-high 385 yards and four touchdowns while also rushing for a season-high 21 yards on two attempts. The Rams defense will be much tougher to throw on this weekend, but they also haven't been the elite unit that they were in 2020. Despite the broken toe, Rodgers remains firmly in the QB1 mix, especially if he gets running back Aaron Jones (knee) back.

  • Aaron Rodgers Dealing With Broken Toe

Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers (toe) said on Wednesday that he's dealing with a broken pinkie toe. Head coach Matt LaFleur said Rodgers' practice plan will be similar to last week when he only practiced on Friday on a limited basis. Rodgers said on the Pat McAfee show on Tuesday that his injury was worse than turf toe, and now we know why. He's just hoping to get through the Week 12 game against the Los Angeles Rams so that he can rest up during the team's Week 13 bye. Rodgers' broken toe didn't really slow him down in the Week 11 loss to the Minnesota Vikings, as he threw for a season-high 385 yards with four touchdowns and also had a season-high 21 rushing yards. The Rams will present a tougher challenge on defense, but Rodgers remains a solid midrange QB1 for fantasy managers.

  • Aaron Rodgers Expands On Toe Injury

Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers (toe) said on the Pat McAfee Show that the injury that he's dealing with is to his pinkie toe and that it's worse than turf toe. "I have a toe injury that's not going away, and I'm going to be dealing with it for at least the next few weeks," Rodgers said. The future Hall of Fame signal-caller is hoping to make it through this Sunday's game against the Los Angeles Rams and go into next week's bye with more time to heal up for a stretch run that will begin in Week 14. Even though the 37-year-old aggravated his toe in the Week 11 loss to the Minnesota Vikings, he did just fine on the stat sheet by going 23-for-33 for 385 yards and four touchdowns while also rushing for a season-high 21 yards on two carries. Rodgers will remain a midrange QB1 despite his injury and a tough matchup against LA in Week 12.

  • David Bakhtiari Won't Play In Week 12

Green Bay Packers All-Pro left tackle David Bakhtiari (knee) will not practice or play ahead of Week 12. The 30-year-old had arthroscopic surgery to clean up the knee that he had reconstructed back in January, so he will likely be out for a couple more weeks. The Packers just recently lost Pro Bowl guard Elgton Jenkins who had been playing left tackle, so they will be extremely shorthanded on their offensive line until Bakhtiari can make his return. Aaron Rodgers could be in for a rough day against the Rams pass rush on Sunday, so an effective run game could be the key to keep the star quarterback from taking big hits. Bakhtiari is expected to be back for the stretch run to close out the regular season, so there is a chance he can return to action after the team's Week 13 BYE.

  • David Bakhtiari Won't Play In Week 12

Green Bay Packers head coach Matt LaFleur said that left tackle David Bakhtiari (ankle) won't play in Week 12 against the Los Angeles Rams on Sunday. The Packers will re-evaluate their left tackle after their Week 13 bye. Bakhtiari has yet to play this year after tearing his ACL in 2020, and the Packers want to have him healthy for the stretch run. Yosuah Nijman has played well for the Packers in three games while replacing Elgton Jenkins earlier this year, so the Packers appear comfortable using Nijman on quarterback Aaron Rodgers' blind side until Bakhtiari is ready to make his season debut. Jenkins was carted off the field in the Week 11 loss to the Minnesota Vikings and suffered a season-ending torn ACL.

  • Aaron Rodgers' Injury Worse Than Turf Toe

Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers (toe) said that his injury is worse than turf toe, and he's hoping to get through to the team's bye week in order to have some extra time to rest up. Rodgers said his toe injury was extremely painful in the Week 11 loss to the Minnesota Vikings, but you wouldn't be able to tell by his final numbers. He completed 23 of his 33 pass attempts for 385 yards, four touchdowns and no interceptions in the 34-31 loss after throwing no touchdowns last week in his return from the COVID-19 list. Rodgers also scrambled twice for 21 additional yards. His toe injury is certainly worth watching as we approach the stretch run in 2021, but after his performance on Sunday on a bum toe, fantasy managers should continue to roll him out there as a strong QB1 option.

  • Aaron Rodgers Dealing With Painful Toe Injury, Limited Reps

Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers (toe) is expected to play on Sunday, but limited practice time remains a concern for the future Hall of Famer, according to Tom Pelissero of NFL Network. Between a recent bout with COVID-19 and the "painful toe injury," Rodgers hasn't been able to practice in full. In fact, he was limited to just 15 reps during practice on Friday. He'll face the Vikings this week and the Rams next week before heading into a much-needed Week 13 bye. Fantasy managers should continue to treat the veteran as a solid QB1 option.

  • Aaron Rodgers Will Start Sunday

Green Bay Packers head coach Matt LaFleur said that quarterback Aaron Rodgers (toe) will start in Week 11 against the Minnesota Vikings after he returned to practice on Friday. The Packers held Rodgers out of practice on Wednesday and Thursday, but the QB said all along that he would play this weekend in a big divisional game. Rodgers and the Green Bay offense didn't look that great in the 37-year-old's return from a bout with COVID-19 in last week's win over the Seattle Seahawks, and the team also lost running back Aaron Jones (knee) for one to two weeks. But the Vikings defense probably won't be able to slow down the Rodgers-Davante Adams connection, making him at least a solid midrange QB1 in Week 11.

  • Aaron Rodgers Misses Another Day Of Practice

Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers (toe) spent another day sidelined at practice on Thursday. Rodgers hasn't practiced yet this week, but he said he will be playing in Week 11 against the division-rival Minnesota Vikings. We'd expect Rodgers return to the practice field on Friday, but even if he doesn't, he would still be in line to start this weekend. Rodgers came just short of 300 yards passing in his return from the COVID-19 list last weekend against the Seattle Seahawks, but he went without a touchdown pass. In his second week back, we'd expect better results against a Vikings secondary that has allowed the fourth-most fantasy points per game to QBs in the last three weeks. Leave Rodgers in your starting lineups as a midrange QB1.

  • Aaron Rodgers Dealing With Toe Injury

Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers (toe) missed practice on Wednesday with a toe injury. The Packers only conducted a walkthrough practice, so they were likely just resting their star quarterback after he returned in Week 10 from a positive COVID-19 test. If Rodgers misses practice again on Thursday, then fantasy managers can begin worrying about his status for Week 11 against the division-rival Minnesota Vikings. The 37-year-old also said he plans on playing this weekend, so we expect him to be out there this Sunday. Rodgers underwhelmed in his return from the COVID-19 list, going 23-for-27 for 292 yards, no touchdowns and one interception, but he has a nice chance for a rebound game against the Vikings this weekend. Keep him in your lineups as a midrange QB1.

Nov 17 · Source via Packers Aaron Rodgers
  • Aaron Rodgers Not at Practice on Wednesday

Green Bay quarterback Aaron Rodgers was absent from practice Wednesday. There is still some speculation about the reason for Rodgers absence, with some assuming that it may just be a rest day after Rodgers admitted to being exhausted after the win due to his recent COVID diagnosis. However, he was added to the injury report with a toe injury, so there is an outside chance the toe also kept him from practicing. Whatever the specific cause may be, we have no indication as of yet that Rodgers is in jeopardy of missing this week's game.

  • Aaron Rodgers Throws For 292 Yards In Return

Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers completed 23-of-37 pass attempts for 292 yards and an interception while rushing for eight yards on two attempts in Sunday's 17-0 win over the Seattle Seahawks. The 37-year-old returned to action Week 10 after a one-game absence due to testing positive for COVID-19. He failed to throw a touchdown but was efficient enough to lead the Packers to a 17-0 win on Sunday. Rodgers had thrown for multiple touchdown passes in seven straight games before Week 10. The Packers quarterback will look to get back on track against the Minnesota Vikings in Week 11.

  • Aaron Rodgers Activated From COVID List

Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers has been activated from the COVID list and will start on Sunday against the Seahawks. Rodgers missed last game after testing positive for COVID-19, with Jordan Love starting in his place. Love threw for just 190 yards against a struggling Chiefs defense, so the return of Rodgers is a big boost for this Packers offense. Consider Rodgers a QB1 play this week, though it's worth noting the Seahawks only allow 18 points per game to fantasy quarterbacks.

  • Aaron Rodgers To Come Off COVID-19 List, Start In Week 10

Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers is back at the team's facilities and is set to be activated from the Reserve/COVID-19 list on Saturday and will start on Sunday against the Seattle Seahawks in Week 10, according to sources. Rodgers tested positive for COVID-19 last week and was quarantined for 10 days, causing him to miss the Week 9 loss to the Kansas City Chiefs. But he has been asymptomatic of late and will be cleared to play this weekend. Fantasy managers shouldn't be too concerned that Rodgers hasn't practiced with the team in the last two weeks. He'll be returning to face a Seattle defense that has allowed 273.9 passing yards per game this year, which ranks fourth-worst in the NFL. Rodgers will be firmly back in the QB1 mix and can safely be returned to starting lineups in a game that could be a shootout against the returning Russell Wilson (finger) for Seattle.

  • David Bakhtiari Doubtful To Return Sunday

Green Bay Packers All-Pro left tackle David Bakhtiari (knee) is listed as doubtful to make his season debut on Sunday in Week 10 against the Seattle Seahawks. Bakhtiari was activated from the Physically Unable to Perform list earlier this week, but the team will likely play it safe and give him another week to recover after having surgery to fix a torn ACL around 10 months ago. Head coach Matt LaFleur said that Bakhtiari didn't have a setback and that it is just "part of the process." So if quarterback Aaron Rodgers is activated from the COVID-19 list to play on Sunday, he'll have Elgton Jenkins protecting his blind side again.

  • Packers Expect Aaron Rodgers To Be Cleared For Week 10

The Green Bay Packers expect quarterback Aaron Rodgers to be cleared from the Reserve/COVID-19 list on Saturday before the team's Week 10 game against the Seattle Seahawks, but second-year QB Jordan Love prepared as the starting signal-caller all week as a contingency plan in case Rodgers isn't cleared. Rodgers did not practice all week and hasn't been with the team since he tested positive for COVID-19 on Nov. 3. Love was forced to start in the Week 9 loss to the Kansas City Chiefs, but Rodgers should be back under center this Sunday. He'll be returning to face a Seahawks defense that has allowed 273.9 passing yards per game, fourth-most in the league. Rodgers can be plugged back into starting lineups as a midrange QB1, and he'll also be back with his favorite target, wide receiver Davante Adams.

  • David Bakhtiari Comes Off PUP List

The Green Bay Packers activated left tackle David Bakhtiari (knee) from the Physically Unable to Perform list on Wednesday, but head coach Matt LaFleur is unsure if Bakhtiari will return to action right away this Sunday in a showdown against the Seattle Seahawks. The 30-year-old, a three-time Pro Bowler and two-time All-Pro, will be looking to make his season debut when he gets into a game after tearing his ACL last year. Expect the Packers to ease him back in, but this is a big plus for Green Bay's offensive line and quarterback Aaron Rodgers' protection heading into the second half of the 2021 season. Bakhtiari's return will allow Elgton Jenkins to move back to his strength on the interior of the O-line.

  • Aaron Rodgers Expects To Play In Week 10

Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers (COVID-19) said there's a small possibility that he will be unavailable against the Seattle Seahawks on Sunday. Rodgers tested positive for COVID-19 last week and has to miss a minimum of 10 days before he can return, meaning the earliest he can be cleared is on Saturday. Rodgers will be a must-start option against Seattle's poor pass defense should he be active, and Davante Adams would re-enter the overall WR1 territory after a very inefficient performance with Jordan Love under center.

  • Aaron Rodgers Has COVID-19, Won't Play In Week 9

Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers tested positive for COVID-19 and will miss the Week 9 game against the Kansas City Chiefs, according to sources. Rodgers could also be at risk of missing the Week 10 game against the Seattle Seahawks since he's unvaccinated. Since he's unvaccinated, he'll be required to complete a 10-day quarantine period. That means he won't be eligible to be cleared until a day before the Week 10 contest against Seattle. The team's controversial first-round pick in 2020, Jordan Love, will make his first career start this Sunday against a struggling Chiefs squad. Fantasy managers will need to downgrade all of Green Bay's offensive skill players with Rodgers out, even wide receiver Davante Adams, assuming he returns after he missed last week due to COVID-19.

  • Aaron Rodgers - Week 9 Outlook for Fantasy Football

Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers completed 22-of-37 passes for 184 yards with two touchdowns and no interceptions in a Week 8 win over the Arizona Cardinals. He led the Packers to victory despite missing his top two wide receivers in Davante Adams and Allen Lazard, who were placed on the reserve/COVID-19 list ahead of last Thursday's game. This season, the 37-year-old has been terrific, throwing for 1,894 yards and a 17:3 TD: INT ratio while rushing for 47 yards and two scores over eight games in 2021. He will get his top two targets back for Week 9 against the Kansas City Chiefs as Adams is expected to return to practice on Thursday while Lazard was officially activated from the reserve/COVID-19 list. The Chiefs' defense can't stop anyone and have given up the second-most fantasy points to opposing quarterbacks. Rodgers is a surefire QB1 and a top-5 fantasy option in Week 9.

  • David Bakhtiari Won't Play Thursday

Green Bay Packers head coach Matt LaFleur said that All-Pro left tackle David Bakhtiari (knee) will not be activated from the Physically Unable to Perform list in time to play on Thursday night against the Arizona Cardinals. Bakhtiari tore his ACL on New Year's Eve last year. It's more likely that he will make his season debut in Week 9 against the Kansas City Chiefs. "He's coming off a really significant injury. He looks great. He's worked his tail off. He's put a lot of hours in. We just want to make sure the timing is right," LaFleur said. The return of Bakhtiari will be good news for quarterback Aaron Rodgers and the Packers offense, but they could have some trouble with the Cardinals defense on Thursday with star pass-rusher Chandler Jones returning from the COVID-19 list.

  • Aaron Rodgers - Week 8 Outlook for Fantasy Football

Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers will be without his top two targets, wide receivers Davante Adams and Allen Lazard, for Thursday's game against the Arizona Cardinals. On Tuesday, Adams and Lazard were both placed on the reserve/COVID-19 list and have been ruled out in Week 8. The future Hall-of-Famer has been impressive recently and has thrown two touchdowns or more in six straight games. Thursday's game between the Packers and Cardinals should feature plenty of scoring and currently has an over/under of 51 points. Rodgers may be without his top two pass-catchers, but fantasy managers can start the 37-year-old with confidence as a borderline QB1 in Week 8.

  • Aaron Rodgers Leads Packers To Another Win

Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers had another splendid outing, leading his team to a win over Washington on Sunday. The reigning MVP threw for 274 yards and three touchdowns, finding his favorite target, Davante Adams, in the first quarter for a 17-yard score. He also connected with Allen Lazard and Robert Tonyan, who each had end zone trips of their own. The 37-year-old continues to play well and has made fantasy managers forget about his disastrous Week 1 performance against the New Orleans Saints. Nonetheless, his short-term outlook doesn't look bright, primarily with an effective Arizona Cardinals defense on tap for a Thursday Night Football clash. However, Rodgers remains a must-start in all fantasy formats, but DFS enthusiasts may want to consider other options at the position heading into Week 8.

  • Aaron Rodgers - Week 7 Outlook for Fantasy Football

Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers could have another massive fantasy day in Week 7 against the Washington Football Team. Washington has been unable to stop the pass and has given up the most yards through the air. The future Hall of Famer has been terrific in 2021, throwing for 1,436 yards and a 12:3 TD: INT ratio along with 27 rushing yards and two scores over six games in 2021. Rodgers is a surefire QB1 and is set to finish as a top-5 fantasy QB in a plus matchup against Washington.

  • David Bakhtiari Returning To Practice

Green Bay Packers left tackle David Bakhtiari (knee) will begin practicing this week, which opens his 21-day period to return to action from the Injured Reserve, according to head coach Matt LaFleur. Bakhtiari hasn't played since Week 17 last season, so it will be a big-time boost for quarterbackAaron Rodgers and the offense to have their All-Pro tackle back in the near future. The 30-year-old will give Rodgers more time to throw as the No. 1 pass-blocking tackle in the NFL, and he could also provide a boost for Aaron Jones in the running game, so any fantasy managers with a stake in the Green Bay offense should be encouraged that Bakhtiari is progressing towards a return to the lineup.

  • Aaron Rodgers Has Another Solid Performance Against Chicago

Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers added to his impressive career resume against the Bears on Sunday, finishing the Week 6 bout with 195 yards and two passing touchdowns on 17-for-23 passing. He also added a score on the ground, finding the end zone off a six-yard run late in the fourth quarter. While the reigning MVP's statistical output during the 2021-22 campaign is less than what we saw at this point last year, he remains one of the league's most reliable fantasy signal-callers. Fortunately, Rodgers will next square off against the Washington Football Team, and with some issues on the defensive end for the club this season, Rodgers could be in store for big things in Week 7.

  • Aaron Rodgers - Week 6 Outlook for Fantasy Football

Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers has thrown exactly two touchdowns in three straight games and is coming off his first 300-yard effort in last Sunday's Week 5 win over the Cincinnati Bengals. The future Hall of Famer gets divisional rival the Chicago Bears in Week 6. Chicago has allowed the fifth-fewest points to quarterbacks and ranks third in pass DVOA this season. Rodgers has completed 107-of-163 attempts for 1,241 passing yards and a 10:3 TD: INT ratio while rushing for eight yards on seven attempts and a score over five games in 2021. The 37-year-old has typically done well against the Bears and has a passing rating of 107.2 with 55 touchdowns over 25 games versus Chicago in his career. Fantasy managers can fire up Rodgers as a low-end QB1 in Week 6.

Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers bounced back from his disastrous Week 1 performance (0:2 TD: INT ratio) and owned an 8:0 TD: INT ratio over his last three games. The 37-year-old is an every-week starter and should produce against a mediocre Bengals pass defense (18th in DVOA against the pass). He has thrown for multiple touchdown passes in three straight games and will look to extend the streak to four on Sunday. Rodgers is a surefire QB1 and should remain in fantasy managers lineups in Week 5.

Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers completed 20-of-36 passes for 248 yards, one rushing touchdown and two passing touchdowns in the team's 27-17 win over the Packers. Rodgers had his way with a talented Steelers defense, getting the Packers on the board with a four-yard touchdown rush and finding receiver Randall Cobb in the red zone for two passing scores. Rodgers has shaken off a dismal Week 1 performance to re-assert his dominance as one of the elite fantasy quarterback options in the game.

  • T.J. Watt Practices In Full Thursday

Pittsburgh Steelers linebacker T.J. Watt (groin) was a full participant in practice on Thursday after he was limited on Wednesday. Watt was close to playing last week, but the team took the cautious route and held him out. We fully expect him to return to action in Week 4 in his return to his home state of Wisconsin to face the Green Bay Packers. Pittsburgh's defense/special teams is tied for dead last in overall fantasy points through two weeks, and they will be off the fantasy radar against a Packers offense capable of putting up plenty of points. But Watt's likely return this weekend will certainly make things more difficult on Aaron Rodgers and Company.

Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers will go up against a talented Steelers defense in Week 4. Rodgers has bounced back in a big way, passing for 516 yards with six touchdowns over his last two games after a disappointing season opener. He will go up against a Steelers defense that is missing key components and is allowing the 16th fewest fantasy points to opposing passers. After the sky was falling in Week 1, Rodgers has 516 passing yards and six touchdown passes over his last two games. The reigning MVP once again was dynamite in the red zone, finding receivers Davante Adams and Marquez Valdes-Scantling for red zone scores. • Elgton Jenkins Will Miss Week 3 Due To Injury

Green Bay Packers left tackle Elgton Jenkins (ankle) has been deemed inactive for Sunday's contest against San Francisco. Jenkins' absence is a hefty one for the Packers, who will have to counteract a highly skilled 49ers defense. While Green Bay's immediate plan to replace Jenkins isn't clear, Yosh Nijman could step in for his first NFL start. Without Jenkins protecting his blindside, quarterback Aaron Rodgers could face a long evening of running from former Pro Bowl defensive end Nick Bosa, who has amassed four quarterback hits and three sacks in his first two games. The result could be quicker passes from Rodgers and/or an increased focus on the run game in an effort to minimize the impact of Jenkins' absence. His next chance at suiting up comes Week 4 vs. the Steelers.

  • Aaron Rodgers A QB1 Play Against 49ers

Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers will take on the 49ers Sunday night in Week 3. Now he will face a 49ers defense that held the Eagles Jalen Hurts in check last week but allowed 338 passing yards to the Lions Jared Goff in Week 1. For all the doubters crying out that Rodgers and the Packers are already done this season, this matchup provides a quick litmus test to silence the critics. Rodgers needs to be in fantasy lineups and is a QB1 choice for Week 3.

Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers will have the perfect opportunity to put the team's porous Week 1 behind them against the Lions in Week 2. Detroit's defense was ripped up for 41 points in Week 1 against the 49ers and prized cornerback prospect Jeff Okudah is now out for the season with a torn achilles. Rodgers played terribly against the Saints to open the season but now will face a Lions defense that allowed the most fantasy points to opposing passers last season. The Lions allowed 38 passing touchdowns in 2020 and Rodgers gashed them for 530 yards, one rushing touchdown and five passing touchdowns in two games against them last season. The reigning MVP is set up for a huge game in Week 2.

The Saints surrendered only nine passing touchdowns over their final eight games in 2020 but Rodgers himself ripped them up for 283 yards and three touchdowns in Week 3. Rodgers is pretty close to being matchup-proof and needs to be in all fantasy lineups for Week 1.
