    Green Bay Packers quarterback Sean Clifford will have a chance to earn the No. 2 job behind Jordan Love to begin the season. Packers GM Brian Gutekunst said Danny Etling and Clifford will both get a chance to earn the spot in camp. The organization wants to see what they have in these young players before they consider bringing in a veteran quarterback. Etling is a former Patriots wide receiver, while Clifford was drafted in the fifth-round out of Penn State during this year's draft. These two players could be the fall back plans if Love doesn't pan out this upcoming season. On paper, neither player offers much upside, so fantasy managers probably shouldn't bother trying to slash Etling or Clifford.

    The Green Bay Packers aren't expected to add a veteran backup quarterback behind Jordan Love, who is entering his first full season as the team's starter with Aaron Rodgers now in New York. The Packers want to see how the dynamic between Love, returning practice-squad QB Danny Etling and rookie fifth-rounder Sean Clifford evolves. Bringing in a veteran signal-caller would only take time away from the work that the young trio needs in the team's offseason program and organized team activity practices. "I like that room right now and all those guys need reps, so I think we'll probably see how these guys do before we think about bringing in a veteran right away," general manager Brian Gutekunst said after the draft last week.
