  • Tank Dell Catches Just One Pass In Week 4

    Headshot for Tank Dell

Houston Texans wide receiver Tank Dell hauled in just one of three targets for 16 yards in Sunday's win over the Pittsburgh Steelers. The rookie was unable to build on a big Week 3, instead being overshadowed by impressive games from Nico Collins and Dalton Schultz. Although Collins has cemented himself as Houston's top wide receiver, there is still room for Dell to thrive. He should be viewed as a low-end WR3/FLEX option going forward, including in Week 5 against Atlanta.

  • Tank Dell A Strong Flex Option In Week 4

    Headshot for Tank Dell

Houston Texans wide receiver Tank Dell has stepped up big-time in the early going. He'll look to continue that success in a Week 4 matchup against the Pittsburgh Steelers at home. Since Noah Brown (groin) went on the injured reserve list before Week 2, the rookie wideout has been a huge part of Houston's passing game. Dell has caught 12 passes for 217 yards and two touchdowns over the past two weeks. Now, he'll have a favorable matchup in Week 4 against a Steelers defense that has allowed the fifth most points to wideouts in fantasy in half-PPR formats. Dell is a strong flex play option in Week 4.

  • Tank Dell Shows Out Again In Week 3

    Headshot for Tank Dell

Houston Texans wide receiver Tank Dell put together another impressive performance in the team's 37-17 win over the Jacksonville Jaguars in Week 3. Dell caught a team-high five passes for 145 yards and one touchdown. The rookie wideout secured the second touchdown of his career late in the fourth quarter for a 68-yard score to secure the victory. After leading the team with seven targets on Sunday, Dell continues to see more opportunities on offense with wideout Noah Brown (groin) on the injured reserve list. The rookie will look to follow up his strong performance next week at home against the Pittsburgh Steelers.

  • Tank Dell Limited In Wednesday's Practice

    Headshot for Tank Dell

Houston Texans wide receiver Tank Dell (thigh) was a limited participant in Wednesday's team practice. The rookie wideout stepped up for the injured Noah Brown (groin) in Week 2 against the Indianapolis Colts and finished with seven catches for 72 yards on 10 targets. The thigh issue is a new designation for Dell. But considering he practiced in a limited fashion this early in the week, there's a good chance he will suit up in Week 3 against the Jacksonville Jaguars. If he plays this week, he's an interesting flex option in 12-plus team formats.

  • Tank Dell - Week 2 Outlook for Fantasy Football

    Headshot for Tank Dell

Houston Texans rookie wide receiver Tank Dell didn't see a ton of action in Week 1. But that is expected to change in Week 2 when the Texans face the Indianapolis Colts at home. With wide receiver Noah Brown (groin) headed to the injured reserve list, the rookie will see more chances in the passing game. In Week 1, Dell finished with three catches for 34 yards on just 37 snaps. However, with Brown missing at least four games and John Metchie III (hamstring) still nursing an injury, the 23-year-old could be an interesting waiver wire add in 12-plus team leagues. He shouldn't be started in most leagues this week, but keep an eye on the rookie's production in Week 2.

  • Tank Dell Reels In Three Catches In NFL Debut

    Headshot for Tank Dell

Houston Texans wide receiver Tank Dell caught three passes for 34 yards in Sunday's 25-9 loss to the Baltimore Ravens. His 34 receiving yards were third most on the team, while his catches and targets (four) were tied for third among all Houston playmakers. Dell came in as the WR4 for the Texans on Sunday behind Nico Collins, Robert Woods, and Noah Brown. While Collins and Woods were highly utilized in the passing game, Dell outperformed Brown on the day. Houston has high hopes for the rookie, so hopefully, he'll see more looks next week at home against the Indianapolis Colts.

  • Tank Dell To Return Punts In Season Opener

    Headshot for Tank Dell

Houston Texans wide receiver Tank Dell is not listed as a starter on the team's official pre-Week 1 depth chart. Instead, Robert Woods will start opposite Nico Collins, with Dell presumably third in the pecking order. Deepi Sidhu of the Texans' official site reports that Dell will operate as the primary punt returner ahead of Sunday's game against the Ravens. He is an appealing dynasty "buy" but isn't currently on the redraft radar.

  • Xavier Hutchinson Quiet In Preseason Action

    Headshot for Noah Brown

Houston Texans Wide Receiver Xavier Hutchinson could muster only one catch for two yards in Saturday's 28-3 preseason loss to the Miami Dolphins. The former Iowa State pass-catching monster couldn't get anything going Saturday night and remains primarily a short-range target for the team. Hutchinson is fighting for a roster spot on the wide receiver depth chart that includes Robert Woods, Nico Collins, Noah Brown, Tank Dell, and John Metchie III. The rookie's sixth-round pedigree makes him a longshot for 2023 fantasy relevancy, but he'll look to get back on track in next week's preseason finale against the New Orleans Saints.

  • Tank Dell Held Out Of Saturday's Preseason Game

    Headshot for Tank Dell

Houston Texans wide receiver Tank Dell (leg) didn't suit up for Saturday's preseason matchup against the Miami Dolphins. According to Aaron Wilson of KPRC, the rookie experienced tightness in his leg during warmups. Fortunately, it doesn't appear that the injury is severe, as Wilson added Dell was held out as a "precautionary measure." The 23-year-old, drafted in the third round of the 2023 NFL Draft, has gained positive attention since training camp began, meaning he's worth considering late in fantasy drafts heading into Week 1.

  • Tank Dell Receives High Praise

    Headshot for Tank Dell

Houston Texans wide receiver Tank Dell has been exceeding expectations early in camp. Head coach DeMeco Ryans says Dell has been an explosive playmaker for the Texans early in camp. The Texans are happy to see that Dell's performance on the practice field translates well in real game action. That being said, fantasy managers shouldn't have to worry about his target share going into the season. The third-round rookie is likely to see plenty of involvement and could open the season as a starter.

  • Texans Have No Clear No. 1 WR In Training Camp

    Headshot for Noah Brown

The Houston Texans have a ton of new faces on offense in 2023, and DJ Bien-Aime of ESPN reports there is no clear No. 1 wide receiver yet through over a week of training camp. The top contenders for the WR1 spot appear to be Robert Woods, Nico Collins, John Metchie III, Noah Brown, Tank Dell, and Xavier Hutchinson, but none have separated themselves from the pack this offseason. The Houston pass-catching group will likely be tricky to navigate, but it's tough to see a significant path to upside for any of them while catching passes from Davis Mills and rookie CJ Stroud. That said, one or two of the Texans' wide receivers will likely beat their preseason average draft position. Collins has the highest ADP at just the WR59 in PPR formats.

  • Tank Dell Surprising In Camp

    Headshot for Tank Dell

Houston Texans wide receiver Tank Dell has been providing excellent route running skills during recent practices. Texans head coach DeMeco Ryans said Dell has been open a lot during OTAs. The Texans selected Dell in the third round of this year's draft. It's worth noting that Dell and quarterback C.J. Stroud developed a friendship during the NFL combine. Honestly, that could be part of the reason why the Texans decided to select Dell during the draft. Regardless, Dell has the talent to be a legitimate receiver in the NFL. The Texans don't exactly have a ton of competition for Dell right now. He could carve out a good role for himself right away in Houston. Fantasy managers should consider Dell a possible late-round option in PPR formats.
