  • Zay Flowers Sees 10 Targets

    Headshot for Zay Flowers

Baltimore Ravens wide receiver Zay Flowers may not have found the endzone yet this season but he now has caught 21 of his 25 targets through three games. The rookie saw another 10 targets against the Colts and hauled in eight of them for 48 yards while also getting one carry for just two yards. In PPR formats, Flowers has produced reliable fantasy stat lines since he tends to see a lot of close-range targets. The passing game still seems to be working out some kinks, so Flowers and company could improve as the season goes on. Week 4, however, will be a tougher challenge against the Browns defense.

  • Zay Flowers Rising Into A Strong Flex Option In Week 3

    Headshot for Zay Flowers

Baltimore Ravens wide receiver Zay Flowers has given fantasy managers increasingly more confidence while deploying him into starting lineups. He's become the second favorite option for Lamar Jackson as he's made tough catches and crazy moves to extend plays even further. Flowers is quickly rising in the fantasy receiver ranks and he looks to be a solid flex option against a Colts team that has lower graded defensive backs according to PFF. The rookie pass-catcher can deliver plenty of fantasy points, especially in PPR formats.

  • Zay Flowers Continues To Impress In Week 2

    Headshot for Zay Flowers

Baltimore Ravens wide receiver Zay Flowers continues to see a high volume of targets and continues to impress. The rookie pass-catcher hauled in four of his five targets for 62 yards and received one carry for six yards. While he didn't score, he was second on the team in terms of receiving yards by just one yard. In his first two games, he's seen 15 targets, which is a team-high mark. Flowers' first NFL touchdown is just a matter of time, and if the volume continues, it will be sooner rather than later. Going up against the Colts in Week 3, Flowers should be considered a strong flex option, even with Mark Andrews back in the fold.

  • Zay Flowers - Week 2 Outlook for Fantasy Football

    Headshot for Zay Flowers

Baltimore Ravens wide receiver Zay Flowers showed that he built some early chemistry with Lamar Jackson in Week 1. One aspect that went in his favor against the Texans was the fact that Mark Andrews didn't play. Heading into Week 2, Andrews is trending in the direction of playing which would mean his safety blanket is back. Flowers saw 10 targets in his first game, which most likely won't be replicated with all of the pass-catchers healthy. With that being said, Flowers could still be a WR3/flex play due to his big-play ability and role in the offense.

  • Zay Flowers Leads Ravens In Receiving In Week 1

    Headshot for Zay Flowers

Baltimore Ravens wide receiver Zay Flowers put together a great first game of his career in the team's 25-9 opening win over the Texans. The rookie ended the game with 78 yards while catching nine out of his 10 targets and added nine yards on the ground on two carries. Flowers showed a flurry of moves to make tacklers miss in an array of routes throughout the contest. Right out of the gate, the chemistry with Lamar Jackson seems to be outstanding. He'll look to continue his hot start against the Bengals in Week 2.

  • Zay Flowers A Risky Flex Play In Season Opener

    Headshot for Zay Flowers

Baltimore Ravens wide receiver Zay Flowers seems to be the top fantasy prospect out of the team's revamped receiving corps. The rookie pass-catcher has impressed through training camp and preseason while shooting up fantasy draft boards in the process. The fact of the matter is that this new offense has yet to be seen and we don't know who will emerge as the WR1 on this team. The Texans do have a respectable secondary and Lamar Jackson still has to gel with his new playmakers. Flowers seems to be a good bet as the season goes on, but for Week 1, he'd be a flex play at best.

  • Zay Flowers Could Be Special In His Rookie Season

    Headshot for Zay Flowers

ESPN's Dan Graziano writes that we shouldn't be surprised if Baltimore Ravens rookie first-round wide receiver Zay Flowers wins Offensive Rookie of the Year in 2023. Flower's ability to create separation has stood out in training camp, and other than tight end Mark Andrews, nobody in the team's receiving corps has a ton of experience with quarterback Lamar Jackson. Flowers went for more than 1,000 yards and had 12 touchdowns at Boston College last year and could put up big numbers right away in the NFL if Jackson clicks in Baltimore's new offense. We wouldn't blame fantasy managers for being skeptical on Flowers given the Ravens' history of flops at the position through the draft, but the 22-year-old isn't a bad WR4/5 upside target for receiver depth.

  • Latest On Ravens' J.K. Dobbins, Rashod Bateman

    Headshot for Nelson Agholor

The 2023 offseason saw the Ravens make a number of changes on offense, but returnees will still have a major role to play in the unit’s success. That group includes running back J.K. Dobbins and wideout Rashod Bateman, who recently addressed the injury troubles which have marred their respective careers. Dobbins missed all of 2021 and much of […]

  • Rashod Bateman Feeling Close To 100%

    Headshot for Rashod Bateman

Baltimore Ravens wide receiver Rashod Bateman (foot) was asked by reporters how his foot was feeling on Wednesday. He responded by stating that he was "99%" and went on to say, "I feel good, I feel strong". Bateman missed time last season after having to undergo Lisfranc surgery. The veteran wideout is expected to play a major role in the Ravens' passing attack, although he will have plenty of competition for targets with Odell Beckham Jr. and Zay Flowers in town. Bateman is looking like a boom/bust WR4 heading into fantasy drafts.

  • Zay Flowers Hauls In A Touchdown On Monday

    Headshot for Zay Flowers

Baltimore Ravens wide receiver Zay Flowers caught his first touchdown of the preseason on Monday night against the Washington Commanders. The rookie receiver finished the game with two catches for 37 yards and one score. He showed some nice elusiveness as he dodged tacklers to get into the end zone during the team's opening drive. Flowers should be involved quite often in this new offense run by Todd Monken. He's been impressive in practices and the established top receivers seem to be him and Odell Beckham.

  • Zay Flowers Quiet In First Preseason Game

    Headshot for Zay Flowers

Baltimore Ravens wide receiver Zay Flowers saw some playing time early on in the game on Saturday but didn't do much with it. After committing a false start on his first play, he caught one pass from Josh Johnson that ended up getting ruled as a running play. So in the end, Flowers finished with one carry for one yard and no targets. The first-round pick out of Boston College should still play a big part in this offense and his fantasy potential should be clearer when he plays with Lamar Jackson and the rest of the starting squad.

  • Ravens Activate WR Rashod Bateman

    Headshot for Nelson Agholor

Injuries have marred Rashod Bateman‘s NFL career, and the Ravens have made significant adjustments to their wide receiver room this offseason. But the 2021 first-round pick will begin factoring into the team’s pass-catching work Wednesday. Bateman passed his physical and is off Baltimore’s active/PUP list, the team announced. He will join Odell Beckham Jr., Nelson […]

  • Zay Flowers, Odell Beckham Jr. Solidifying Themselves As Top Receivers

    Headshot for Odell Beckham Jr.

The pecking order of the Baltimore Ravens wide receiver group remains uncertain, but wideouts Zay Flowers and Odell Beckham Jr. are solidifying themselves as the top two receivers in Baltimore at training camp with former first-rounder Rashod Bateman (foot) still on the Physically Unable to Perform list. Flowers, a first-rounder this year, continued his strong start to camp with his most impressive practice yet on Tuesday. He won all three of his one-on-one battles and caught two red-zone touchdown passes from quarterback Lamar Jackson. We won't blame fantasy managers for having hesitations about taking a chance on a Ravens receiver, but if you do late in drafts, Flowers and OBJ are making their case. Flowers probably has more upside, and it could all depend on how quickly Bateman gets back on the field or whether he's actually ready for Week 1.

  • Zay Flowers Impresses In Practice Tuesday

    Headshot for Zay Flowers

Baltimore Ravens wide receiver Zay Flowers has been turning heads in the organization during his first NFL training camp. According to ESPN's Jamison Hensley, Flowers was one of the team's stars in one-on-one drills on Tuesday while capitalizing on his route-running skills to get open and catch two touchdowns in red-zone drills. With Rashod Bateman struggling with injuries over his first two NFL seasons, Flowers has a chance to be the lead target in the Baltimore pass offense in 2023, giving him plenty of upside as a fantasy sleeper.

  • Zay Flowers Returns To Practice On Monday

    Headshot for Zay Flowers

Baltimore Ravens rookie wide receiver Zay Flowers (illness) returned to the practice field on Monday after missing two days of work with a stomach bug. This is obviously good news, as the young receiver will benefit from all the reps he can get ahead of his debut campaign. Flowers should be a starter for Baltimore in three-wide sets from Week 1, but he has a wide range of outcomes with plenty of target competition. Mark Andrews, Odell Beckham Jr., and Rashod Bateman (PUP) will all compete for looks in Lamar Jackson's new-looking passing offense.

  • Zay Flowers Not Practicing Saturday, Should Return Monday

    Headshot for Rashod Bateman

Baltimore Ravens wide receiver Zay Flowers (illness) was not seen at Saturday's practice due to a stomach bug. Ravens head coach John Harbaugh expects the 22-year-old back for Monday's session. It should only be a minor hitch in the road for Flowers, who seems to be turning heads at training camp this summer. The 2023 first-round pick is positioned to start in the slot alongside Rashod Bateman (foot), who currently resides on the PUP list, and Odell Beckham Jr. in three-receiver sets. If Bateman's absence lingers into the regular season, Flowers could possibly take on an expanded role in the early goings. Treat each of the three pass-catchers as late-round fliers with pass-happy offensive coordinator Todd Monken calling plays in Baltimore this year.

  • Zay Flowers Making Strong Early Impression

    Headshot for Zay Flowers

Baltimore Ravens first-round rookie wide receiver Zay Flowers is already impressing coaches and teammates early in training camp. On the field, he's made an instant connection with quarterback Lamar Jackson. "I'm just nothing but impressed with everything he's done," head coach John Harbaugh said about Flowers. "You get the feel like he's not a rookie; you get the feel like he's a veteran. He just seems really mature." Baltimore has never drafted and developed a receiver that has turned into a Pro Bowl selection, but Flower could buck that trend. The 22-year-old's shiftiness earned him the nickname "the joystick" from Jackson. It's hard to put too much confidence in a rookie receiver from the Ravens in an offense that has traditionally been run-first, but Flowers will have a prominent role in the passing game right away and is worth a late-round flier in deeper fantasy leagues.

  • Zay Flowers Has Played All Three WR Positions This Offseason

    Headshot for Mark Andrews

Baltimore Ravens rookie wide receiver Zay Flowers was selected with the No. 22 overall pick in the 2023 NFL draft, meaning the team clearly expects him to be involved right away. In an interview on The Lounge podcast, Flowers said he has been playing all three wide receiver positions this offseason. "That's what I want. That's exactly what I want," Flowers said. "As long as I'm touching the ball, I feel like I can make a play from anywhere, no matter where it is." Versatility is never a bad thing for a receiver's fantasy football outlook, so it's a promising development. The Boston College product will start his career with plenty of target competition in Mark Andrews, Rashod Bateman, and Odell Beckham Jr., but the latter two have had plenty of injury issues over the last couple of seasons. That said, Flowers could find himself as a top-two option in the new-look Ravens offense led by offensive coordinator Todd Monken and quarterback Lamar Jackson. He has a wide range of fantasy football outcomes for his rookie campaign.
