Jordan Addison An Intriguing Week 3 Fantasy Option

Minnesota Vikings wide receiver Jordan Addison will look to keep his strong start to his rookie season going as the Vikings take on the Chargers in Week 3. Addison has found the end zone in each of his first two games this season, and he now draws a matchup with the Chargers' secondary that has looked abysmal, allowing a league-high 9.6 yards per attempt. Addison could do some damage on limited volume in this one, as he has caught just seven passes through two games, however, the USC product has turned it into 133 yards and two touchdowns. Addison will have to compete for targets with Justin Jefferson and T.J. Hockenson, but quarterback Kirk Cousins has attempted 44 in both games this season. He is by no means a must-start, but fantasy managers can treat him as a FLEX option this week.

Jordan Addison Finds End Zone Again In Week 2

Minnesota Vikings wide receiver Jordan Addison caught 3-of-5 targets for 72 yards and a touchdown in Thursday's 34-28 loss to the Philadelphia Eagles. The 21-year-old gave the Vikings a much-needed lift in the third quarter by showing off his route-running skills and beating Josh Jobe for a 62-yard score. Addison essentially split targets once again with K.J. Osborn, who flipped six targets into 34 yards and a score of his own, but he also committed a few drops. The 2023 first-round pick now has seven receptions for 133 yards and two TDs over the first two games of his career, and is certainly nipping at Osborn's heels for more snaps. Addison will continue vying for added playing time as an upside WR3/4 bet in a potential Week 3 shootout with the Los Angeles Chargers.

Jordan Addison - Week 2 Outlook for Fantasy Football

Minnesota Vikings wide receiver Jordan Addison turned in a solid NFL debut in Week 1, finishing with four catches for 61 yards and a touchdown in a loss to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Addison found the end zone but he only played on 56.3% of the Vikings' offensive snaps in Week 1. The team should increase the rookie's snap share as the season progresses, which would pave the path to WR2 status in fantasy most weeks. For now, Addison is best treated as a flex option in fantasy leagues.

Jordan Addison Grabs A Touchdown In Week 1

Minnesota Vikings wide receiver Jordan Addison turned in a solid performance for his first regular season game despite the team suffering a three-point loss to the Buccaneers. The rookie wideout ended with 61 yards on four catches and a touchdown while seeing six targets throughout the game. Addison was behind K.J. Osborn in terms of snap counts, however, he still produced more in the time that he was on the field. He'll be in line for more opportunities if he can remain consistent, especially against an even better defense like the Eagles in Week 2.

Jordan Addison A Risky Play In Week 1

Minnesota Vikings wide receiver Jordan Addison will look to make an impression in Week 1, as the 23rd-overall pick in the 2023 NFL draft makes his NFL debut against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Addison will join one of the league's better, and more importantly, pass-happy offenses, but there will be no shortage of competition for looks from quarterback Kirk Cousins. Justin Jefferson and T.J. Hockenson will command a significant amount of targets, so Addison could get off to a slow start in his rookie season. Adam Thielen's departure vacates a ton of red-zone opportunities, but it may be better for fantasy managers to play it safe and take a wait-and-see approach, as it isn't uncommon for rookie wide receivers to get off to slow starts. Addison is nothing more than a low-end FLEX option in deeper formats this week.

Jordan Addison Listed As Backup On Vikings' Unofficial Depth Chart

The Minnesota Vikings released an updated unofficial depth chart on Tuesday and had rookie wide receiver Jordan Addison listed as a backup. The Vikings had wideouts Justin Jefferson and K.J. Osborn ranked ahead of Addison before the team's first regular season game against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Signs could be pointing to Osborn getting more runs in two wideout sets to begin the year. But this depth chart news for Addison shouldn't cause any panic. The Vikings selected the rookie with the 23rd overall pick in the 2023 NFL Draft, so the wideout will get his time to shine on a pass-friendly offense. Minnesota threw the ball 64.4% of the time last season, third-most in the NFL. Addison is a WR4/flex play to begin his rookie campaign and has the talent to finish as a top-25 wide receiver by the end of the year.

Jordan Addison Should Be Valuable Right Away

The Minnesota Vikings offense still centers around All-Pro wide receiver Justin Jefferson, and for good reason. However, the team drafted rookie Jordan Addison in the first round this year for a reason, and ESPN's Dan Graziano writes he's been nothing short of amazing all summer. Addison is an upgrade over the 32-year-old Adam Thielen from 2022 and can help diversify the passing game and take it to another level under second-year head coach Kevin O'Connell. Graziano wouldn't be surprised if Addison pushes the 80-catch mark in his first NFL campaign, and he also thinks it could come without cutting too much into Jefferson's production in this pass-happy offense. The 21-year-old pass-catcher looks like the real deal and is absolutely worth the investment in fantasy drafts as a WR3/4 going into his rookie year.

Offseason In Review: Minnesota Vikings

The Vikings rode another dominant Justin Jefferson season to one of the most improbable 13-win showings in NFL history. After going 13-4 with a negative point differential, Minnesota completed a bit of a retooling effort. Some Mike Zimmer-era mainstays and standouts who helped Kevin O’Connell‘s first team are gone. Minnesota Vikings wide receiver Jordan Addison (head) entered the concussion protocol last week, but he's participating in team drills in a joint practice with the Arizona Cardinals on Wednesday. That said, it appears he's good to go and healthy. The No. 23 overall pick in the 2023 NFL Draft is expected to contend for the No. 1 rookie fantasy receiver. The Vikings have a high-powered passing offense led by Kirk Cousins and its mediocre defense will likely force them into high-scoring shootouts. Justin Jefferson will clearly continue to operate as the team's No. 1 option in the passing game, but there is plenty of volume up for grabs for Addison and tight end T.J. Hockenson.

Jordan Addison Practicing In No-Contact Jersey

Minnesota Vikings wide receiver Jordan Addison (concussion protocol) participated in practice on Monday while wearing a red, no-contact jersey. According to Kevin Seifert of ESPN, the practice wasn't going to be contact-heavy anyway, but shows that Addison isn't fully recovered. The rookie pass-catcher first went into the protocol last week, so his progression is headed in the right direction. Even though he missed the team's second preseason game, he's still expected to be a starter in three-receiver sets. He holds value as a WR3/4 and even more in dynasty formats.

Jordan Addison In Concussion Protocol

Minnesota Vikings head coach Kevin O'Connell said that rookie first-round wide receiver Jordan Addison (head) had some light concussion symptoms after going to the ground in a two-minute drill at training camp practice on Wednesday. Addison is in the league's concussion protocol, but O'Connell said the team hopes to have him by next Monday. It means the young wideout won't play at all in the second preseason contest this Saturday against the Tennessee Titans. In the preseason opener, the 21-year-old caught one of three targets for 22 yards last Thursday against the Seattle Seahawks. If healthy, he's expected to be a starter in three-wide sets for the Vikings in his first NFL season, making him worth a fantasy selection as a WR3/4 with upside in a pass-happy offense.

Jordan Addison Makes One Catch

Minnesota Vikings wide receiver Jordan Addison got his first taste of NFL action during Thursday's preseason opener versus the Seattle Seahawks. The Vikings expected big things from Addison after selecting him in the first-round of this year's draft. The 21-year-old didn't do much in this one as he hauled in one of his three targets for 22 yards in the loss. Fantasy managers shouldn't put too much into this as it's only his first ever NFL game. He's likely to see an increased role in the offense as the preseason goes on. At the moment, it's uncertain exactly where he'll fall on the depth chart. The hope is that Addison will be able to provide WR 3/4 value in the Vikings pass-heavy offense.

Rookie Jordan Addison thrives in Vikings camp: 'I should be here'

The Vikings' first-round pick has impressed his quarterback and coaches with his route running, hands and highlight-reel catches in camp.
Aug 10 · ESPN Vikings Jordan AddisonJordan Addison To Play In Preseason Opener

Despite an off-the-field incident early in training camp, Minnesota Vikings rookie first-round wide receiver Jordan Addison has impressed with his play on the field. The Vikings will rest many starters during the preseason opener on Thursday night against the Seattle Seahawks, but head coach Kevin O'Connell said Addison will play. Quarterback Kirk Cousins said Addison is a "natural" at tracking the ball, and O'Connell has been impressed with the rookie's willingness to run block. The 21-year-old is listed behind K.J. Osborn on the first unofficial depth chart, but Addison still figures to lead Osborn in targets in 2023 when all is said and done. In a pass-happy offense, Addison could make some noise in his first NFL season and is worth considering as a WR3/4 in fantasy drafts.

Jordan Addison Listed As Backup On Depth Chart

Minnesota Vikings rookie wide receiver Jordan Addison is listed as a backup on the team's first unofficial depth chart of training camp, behind both Justin Jefferson and K.J. Osborn. There's a lot to like about Addison long term, but fantasy managers may want to temper their expectations for him in his rookie season. Osborn is expected to play a pivotal role as the team's F receiver in 2023. Meanwhile, Addison is ticketed for the Z role in the offense, and it's unrealistic to expect him to pick things up quickly. Addison is going to have a role, but Jefferson and tight end T.J. Hockenson are expected to lead the team in targets. The 21-year-old is still worth taking as a WR4/flex with upside in Minnesota's pass-happy offense.

Jordan Addison Participates In Practice Wednesday

Minnesota Vikings wide receiver Jordan Addison was available on the first day of training camp Wednesday. There remain some questions surrounding the 21-year-old's Week 1 status after he was charged with reckless driving last Wednesday. It's possible Addison could be suspended for a short time if the NFL deems a punishment to be warranted, but it's at least promising to see the rookie in action on the practice field. Addison's ADP should not be altered at this time with a chance in Year 1 to play a form of the departed Adam Thielen's role alongside superstar Justin Jefferson. Fantasy managers should keep drafting Addison as a late-round flier going forward.

Jordan Addison Charged With Reckless Driving

Minnesota Vikings first-round wide receiver Jordan Addison was charged with reckless driving on Wednesday night for driving 140 mph in his Lamborghini. It remains to be seen if Addison will face a suspension from the league in his first NFL season. The 21-year-old suffered an undisclosed injury during rookie minicamp in early May and was held out of organized team activities and mandatory minicamp, but he's expected to be ready to participate in training camp. Addison should serve as an intriguing option next to All-Pro wideout Justin Jefferson in Minnesota's offense, although his size (5-foot-11, 173 pounds) might have some skeptical that he can make an impact right away. Despite Addison's limitations, he could immediately be the Vikings' No. 2 wideout, making him worth a fantasy pick as a WR3/4 in his rookie season.
