Broncos Place TE Greg Dulcich On IR

The recurrence of Greg Dulcich‘s hamstring injury will keep him sidelined for an extended stretch. The Broncos announced on Saturday that the second-year tight end was placed on injured reserve. Dulcich missed seven games during his rookie campaign, and he reaggravated his hamstring in the same leg during Week 1. As a result, it was learned […]
Sep 16 · Pro Football Rumors Broncos Greg Dulcich Adam TrautmanGreg Dulcich Lands On Injured Reserve

Denver Broncos tight end Greg Dulcich (hamstring) was placed on the injured reserve list on Saturday. He's battling a hamstring issue and was already ruled out for Sunday's game against the Washington Commanders. However, it appears the injury is worse than anticipated, meaning Adam Trautman is the favorite to fill the void in the lineup. The 26-year-old finished the Week 1 loss to the Raiders by catching all five targets for 34 yards. While that wasn't the most impressive fantasy showing, it shows Trautman might be involved moving forward, meaning he's worth an add by desperate fantasy managers.

Greg Dulcich Ruled Out For Sunday

Denver Broncos tight end Greg Dulcich (hamstring) will not play on Sunday vs. the Washington Commanders, according to Adam Schefter of ESPN. This news shouldn't come as a surprise as the second-year tight end didn't practice all week and has been ruled out for several weeks with a hamstring injury that he suffered in Week 1. However, he wasn't placed on injured reserve, so he has a chance to make it back to the Broncos within the next three weeks. Adam Trautman is now locked in as Denver's top tight end until Dulcich makes it back. He's on the TE2 radar for now but the jury is still out on Russell Wilson and the Broncos' offense under new head coach Sean Payton.

Greg Dulcich Absent From Thursday's Practice

Denver Broncos tight end Greg Dulcich (hamstring) did not practice again on Thursday. The 23-year-old sustained a hamstring injury in the season opener, which is likely to cost him multiple weeks. Dulcich, who dealt with hamstring issues in his rookie year, should be deemed closer to doubtful than questionable for Week 2 versus the Washington Commanders. Adam Trautman appears slated to function as Denver's primary pass-catching tight end on Sunday, quietly entering the streaming conversation after Zach Ertz just commanded 10 targets against Washington a week ago. The Broncos will provide game statuses on their injury report Friday.

Greg Dulcich Misses Practice On Wednesday

Denver Broncos tight end Greg Dulcich (hamstring) did not participate in Wednesday's practice. The 23-year-old tight end suffered a hamstring injury in Denver's Week 1 loss to the Las Vegas Raiders and is expected to miss multiple weeks, so the DNP on Wednesday is not a surprise. While Dulcich is slated to miss some time, he hasn't been placed on IR, which means he could rejoin the team sometime within the next three weeks. In the meantime, Adam Trautman will soak up all of the tight-end targets in Denver. It remains to be seen what the workload split will look like once Dulcich returns but it likely won't be good for his or Trautman's fantasy value.

Source: Broncos' Dulcich to miss multiple weeks

Broncos tight end Greg Dulcich is expected to miss multiple weeks after suffering a hamstring injury in Sunday's season-opening loss to the Raiders, a source told ESPN.
Sep 12 · ESPN Broncos Greg DulcichGreg Dulcich Expected To Be Sidelined Multiple Weeks

Denver Broncos tight end Greg Dulcich (hamstring) is expected to be out multiple weeks after injuring the same hamstring in the Week 1 loss to the division-rival Las Vegas Raiders on Sunday that caused him to miss the team's first five games in 2022 and then the last two games at the end of the season as well, according to a source. The Broncos plan to take it slow with the second-year tight end. If the 23-year-old goes on Injured Reserve, he'd be required to miss at least four games. In standard-sized fantasy leagues, managers shouldn't feel the need to hang onto Dulcich if they don't have the room early in the year. While Dulcich is out, Adam Trautman, who caught all five of his targets in the season opener, will take on a bigger pass-catching role as the team's No. 1 tight end.

Greg Dulcich Goes For MRI Exam Monday

Denver Broncos tight end Greg Dulcich (leg) went for an MRI exam on Monday, according to head coach Sean Payton. Dulcich injured his leg early in the Week 1 loss to the division-rival Las Vegas Raiders on Sunday and never returned. Before departing the contest, he caught both of his targets for 22 yards. The 23-year-old's availability for a Week 2 meeting with the Washington Commanders in Denver will depend on the results of his MRI exam. When healthy, Dulcich is expected to be the team's primary pass-catching tight end. Adam Trautman caught all five of his targets for 34 yards in Dulcich's absence, and he'd have an increased role as a pass-catcher in Denver's offense if Dulcich ends up missing more time.

Greg Dulcich Won't Return In Week 1

Denver Broncos tight end Greg Dulcich (leg) won't return to Sunday's meeting with the Las Vegas Raiders. There hasn't been any more news on his condition, so he'll probably undergo more tests before an update is made public. Dulcich caught both of his targets for 22 yards before his premature departure. The Broncos were already down Jerry Jeudy (hamstring) heading into this one, so the team could be without two of Russell Wilson's primary targets in Week 2 versus the Washington Commanders. Stay tuned.

Greg Dulcich Still Listed As No. 2 Tight End

Denver Broncos tight end Greg Dulcich remains listed as the team's No. 2 tight end behind Adam Trautman on the first unofficial depth chart before Week 1 of the regular season against the division-rival Las Vegas Raiders. Dulcich is still expected to be the team's top pass-catching tight end, but Trautman is a favorite of head coach Sean Payton from their days in New Orleans, and he could eat up some valuable offensive snaps at the position. Payton said last month that Dulcich could be used in a joker role, which suggests that the 23-year-old will be used in special packages. Dulcich got a late start to his rookie season in 2022 due to injury but showed promise as a pass-catcher. Because of Trautman's presence alone, Dulcich will enter Week 1 as more of a touchdown-dependent TE2 option for fantasy managers.

Greg Dulcich Could Be Used In "Joker" Role

Denver Broncos head coach Sean Payton said that tight end Greg Dulcich could be used in a "joker" role that will help him find matchups to exploit. The Broncos also have Adam Trautman, who has experience in Payton's offense, but Dulcich will remain the top tight end target in the passing game. The Athletic's Nick Kosmider doesn't think it would be surprising for Dulcich to end up as the team's third-leading receiver behind Courtland Sutton and Jerry Jeudy. After all, he finished second among rookie tight ends in 2022 with 411 receiving yards despite missing seven games with hamstring injuries. The 6-foot-3, 245-pounder has been healthy throughout the offseason and has been an active target in training camp. With Tim Patrick (Achilles) out for the year and now Jeudy questionable for Week 1 with a hamstring injury, Dulcich is becoming more and more intriguing as a TE2 target in fantasy drafts.

Greg Dulcich Listed As No. 2 Tight End

In the Denver Broncos' first unofficial depth chart of training camp released on Wednesday, tight end Greg Dulcich was surprisingly listed as the No. 2 behind Adam Trautman. "Adam is the one guy out here who does a good, solid job at blocking and he gives you some flexibility within the route tree," head coach Sean Payton said. Trautman's versatility is what put him atop the TE depth chart for now, but DNVR's Henry Chisholm doesn't expect Trautman to have the most snaps at the position in 2023. Dulcich is expected to move around a lot in Payton's offense, and he should excel the most in the slot as a pass-catcher. Despite the initial depth chart, Dulcich still is the most exciting TE in fantasy in this offense. He's on the TE1/2 borderline.

Don't Sleep On Greg Dulcich

ESPN's Dan Graziano likes Denver Broncos tight end Greg Dulcich as a fantasy sleeper at the position in 2023 in head coach Sean Payton's offense. Payton has talked about using Dulcich in a "joker" role, lining him up in different spots in the formation, similar to the way he used running back Alvin Kamara in New Orleans. "We've got a lot of cool stuff for the tight end for sure, so that's definitely exciting," Dulcich said. "And with all the offensive players that we've got and playmakers, that just opens it up a lot for everyone, so it's going to be tough on defenses to know where the ball's going." Dulcich showed flashes as a rookie in 2022, but ultimately he was too inconsistent in Denver's struggling offense. This year, fantasy managers should look at him as on the TE1/2 borderline with intriguing upside as a pass-catcher, especially now that receiver Tim Patrick (Achilles) is out for the year.

Broncos Eyeing Altered Role For TE Greg Dulcich

Expectations are high for the Broncos offense heading into 2023, with head coach Sean Payton now at the helm. One of the key factors in the team’s ability to rebound from a highly disappointing performance on that side of the ball last season is the way in which Payton’s scheme will alter the workload of the […]
