Romeo Doubs Better Left On The Bench In Week 3

Green Bay Packers wide receiver Romeo Doubs will take on the New Orleans Saints in Week 3. The 23-year-old caught just two passes for 30 yards last week while playing through a hamstring injury. Rookie Jayden Reed took over as the top target and caught two touchdown passes against Atlanta. After an explosive output by Reed, the potential return of Christian Watson (hamstring), and a stiff matchup against New Orleans, Doubs is an easy fade for Week 3. New Orleans has given up the sixth-fewest fantasy points per game to the wide receiver position this season and has yet to allow one to score. With more competition for targets potentially coming his way and Reed looking to take over as the No. 2 target, the second-year receiver can safely be left on the bench this week.

Romeo Doubs Limited To 30 Yards In Week 2

Green Bay Packers wide receiver Romeo Doubs caught 2-of-3 targets for 30 yards during the team's 25-24 loss to the Atlanta Falcons. The second-year receiver came back to earth after catching two touchdowns last week. Rookie Jayden Reed was the top target for quarterback Jordan Love in Week 2, receiving a 32% target share and grabbing two of the three touchdowns thrown. Doubs was limited this past week in practice due to a hamstring injury, which may have affected his performance. No. 1 wide receiver Christian Watson (hamstring) has a chance to return next week and would eat into Doubs' overall target share. With a strong showing by Reed and tight end Luke Musgrave taking targets, the 23-year-old receiver will find it tough to remain consistent for fantasy managers. Doubs will not be a recommended flex option in Week 3 against the New Orleans Saints.

Christian Watson Anticipated To Miss Another Game

Green Bay Packers wide receiver Christian Watson (hamstring) isn't expected to play in Sunday's meeting with Atlanta. The 24-year-old is burdened by a hamstring issue and wasn't available for the regular-season opener against the Chicago Bears. He did practice somewhat during the week, so there's a chance he could be ready in Week 3 against the visiting New Orleans Saints. But for now, Romeo Doubs (hamstring) is anticipated to remain Jordan Love's primary target, meaning he's a must-start in all formats. At the same time, Luke Musgrave and Jayden Reed each warrant flex consideration in deeper fantasy setups.

Romeo Doubs - Week 2 Outlook for Fantasy Football

Green Bay Packers wide receiver Romeo Doubs will travel to Atlanta to take on the Falcons this Sunday. While managing a hamstring injury last week and playing just 48% of snaps, the second-year receiver was able to shed the questionable tag heading into the weekend despite being limited in practice this past week. Teammate Christian Watson (hamstring) has a chance to suit up Sunday but would likely be limited if he did so, leading to an increased role for Doubs in a plus matchup against Atlanta. With only five targets last week, the 23-year-old proved that he is one of quarterback Jordan Love's preferred red zone targets as he turned four receptions into two touchdowns. Regardless of Watson's status for Sunday's game, consider Doubs a WR3 against Atlanta this weekend.

Romeo Doubs Puts In Another Limited Practice

Green Bay Packers wide receiver Romeo Doubs (hamstring) was listed as a limited practice participant for the second straight day on Thursday. Doubs remains on the injury report, but he doesn't appear to be in any real danger of missing a Week 2 showdown against the Falcons in Atlanta this Sunday. And with Christian Watson (hamstring) trending toward missing a second straight game, Doubs has plenty of fantasy appeal this weekend. As Green Bay's top wideout in the Week 1 drubbing of the division-rival Chicago Bears, the 23-year-old caught four of five targets for 26 yards and two touchdowns. Doubs should be able to play more than 48 percent of the snaps like he did in the season opener.

Romeo Doubs Limited In Wednesday's Practice

Green Bay Packers wide receiver Romeo Doubs (hamstring) was limited in the team's practice on Wednesday afternoon. Doubs has been dealing with this hamstring issue for multiple weeks, but that didn't stop him from suiting up in Week 1. Despite being limited in the contest and only logging 29 snaps, Doubs came down with four catches for 26 yards and two touchdowns. The limited participation on Wednesday is a good sign that he didn't re-aggravate anything last week. Doubs should be on track to play in Week 2 against the Atlanta Falcons and will be a solid flex play if teammate Christian Watson (hamstring) can't go.

Romeo Doubs Comes Down With Two Touchdowns Against Chicago

Green Bay Packers wide receiver Romeo Doubs caught 4-of-5 targets for 26 yards and two touchdowns during the team's 38-20 victory over the Chicago Bears. The second-year receiver was questionable heading into the contest due to a hamstring injury, but it did not stop him from finding the end zone twice and being tied for the team lead in targets. Doubs looked noticeably slower at times and struggled to gain yards after the catch, but he was out there at less than 100 percent. Do not be surprised if the 23-year-old is limited a day or two in practice this week in an effort to give the Packers' No. 2 receiver extra rest. However, he should be ready to roll in Week 2 and is an intriguing flex option against the Atlanta Falcons.

Romeo Doubs Officially Active Week 1

Green Bay Packers wide receiver Romeo Doubs (hamstring) is officially active for Week 1 versus the Chicago Bears. He had been listed as questionable. While Doubs is suiting up, reports that circulated Sunday morning suggested that he might play on a snap count. With Doubs' role somewhat limited, rookie Jayden Reed is in line for increased production. Both wideouts are fine FLEX plays in deeper formats.

Romeo Doubs Expected To Play Week 1 On Snap Count

Green Bay Packers wide receiver Romeo Doubs (hamstring) is expected to be active for Sunday's season opener against the Chicago Bears. However, he will likely have a snap count, per Ian Rapoport of NFL Network. We don't know just how limited Doubs' role will be, but it's enough to pivot away from starting him in Week 1 fantasy lineups. With Christian Watson (hamstring) out, Doubs, Samori Toure, and Dontayvion Wicks will operate as Green Bay's top wide receivers.

Romeo Doubs Questionable For Week 1 Versus Bears

Green Bay Packers wide receiver Romeo Doubs (hamstring) is listed as questionable for Sunday's season opener against the Chicago Bears. He was unable to practice on Wednesday before upgrading to a limited participant on Thursday and Friday. Green Bay will hope he can suit up since Christian Watson (hamstring) has already been ruled out. Regardless of Doubs' status, we could see a heavy reliance on the running backs, followed by increased volume for Samori Toure, Luke Musgrave, and Tucker Kraft.

Romeo Doubs Returns To Practice

Green Bay Packers wide receiver Romeo Doubs returned to practice on Thursday to test his injured hamstring. The injury kept Doubs off the practice field for two weeks and out of the Packers' final preseason game on August 26. In the interim, fellow second-year receiver Christian Watson has also been sidelined with a hamstring of his own, leaving a cloud of doubt hanging over Packers' camp as they prepare for their Week 1 matchup against Chicago. Having had the last two weeks to recover, Doubs is closer to being game-ready than Watson, but hamstrings are fickle and Green Bay may need to hold one or both receivers out if their risk for reinjury is deemed too high. If Doubs or Watson miss time on Sunday, it will be rookie wideout Jayden Reed who stands to benefit most.

Christian Watson, Romeo Doubs Not Practicing Wednesday

Green Bay Packers wide receivers Christian Watson and Romeo Doubs (hamstring) are not practicing on Wednesday and will be listed on the team's first official injury report, according to Matt Schneidman of The Athletic. Doubs has been out of practice all week, but Watson's injury appears to be a new development. It's unclear what is holding Watson out of practice, but we will know more after the injury report is released. The Packers square off against the Chicago Bears on Sunday in the Week 1 season-opener, and being without both wideouts would be a letdown for quarterback Jordan Love. Jayden Reed should see plenty of additional targets if either or both wideouts miss the game.

Romeo Doubs Held Out Of Practice This Week

Green Bay Packers wide receiver Romeo Doubs (hamstring) missed practice this week with a hamstring issue but was able to get in some sprints off to the side, per beat writer Rob Demovsky. Doubs' practice status has been a concern this week as he either hasn't practiced at all or has not participated in team activities. It's encouraging to see him get some individual drills going off to the side but his status for Week 1 is still unclear. The second-year wideout told reporters that "everything's fine. I'll leave those answers up to coach, however, just taking everything day by day," when he was asked about his availability. It sounds like we won't know more until the official injury report is released later next week as head coach Matt LaFleur hasn't been very forthcoming to the media in regards to Doubs' health either. If he is unable to suit up against the Bears in Week 1 then expect rookie wideout Jayden Reed and tight end Luke Musgrave to see more looks from quarterback Jordan Love.

Romeo Doubs Dealing With Hamstring Issue, Week 1 Status In Question

Green Bay Packers wide receiver Romeo Doubs (hamstring) missed practice on Wednesday. Head coach Matt LaFleur would not comment on Doubs' status, telling reporters that they would have to wait for the official injury report next week. Doubs missing practice this soon to the start of the regular season is not a great sign for his status for Week 1, although he still has over a week and a half to get ready for Green Bay's season opener against the Chicago Bears.

Romeo Doubs Leads First-Team Receiving Offense Against Patriots

Green Bay Packers wide receiver Romeo Doubs caught both of his targets and gained 52 yards during the team's 21-17 preseason loss to the New England Patriots. After reeling in a 9-yard touchdown last week, the second-year receiver had a massive 42-yard reception down the right sideline that was initially ruled incomplete but reversed after the Packers challenged the play. It is the second week in a row that the connection between Jordan Love and Doubs, which has been reportedly strong in camp, has been on display. Notably, starter Christian Watson has only six yards gained on two receptions this preseason and did not see a target Saturday night. Doubs' fantasy stock should rise a bit after two solid preseason outings, and he can be considered a reliable depth option that can be had late in drafts over the next couple of weeks.

Romeo Doubs Catches First Touchdown Of Preseason For Packers

Green Bay Packers wide receiver Romeo Doubs caught both of his targets for 21 yards and a touchdown during the team's 36-19 preseason victory over the Cincinnati Bengals. The second-year receiver made a nice grab over the middle on a 9-yard toss on the game's second drive, scoring the first touchdown of the preseason for Green Bay. Starting quarterback Jordan Love played the first two series, spreading the targets around the offense. Christian Watson and rookie tight end Luke Musgrave saw three targets, while Aaron Jones and rookie receiver Jordan Reed both had one. Doubs will likely be the second starting receiver in this offense in 2023, but with Musgrave getting rave reviews out of camp and Reed seeing snaps on the first-team offense, the 23-year-old may have more target competition than initially thought. He should have another chance to impress next Saturday night against the New England Patriots.

Offseason In Review: Green Bay Packers

In an offseason that eerily resembled the seminal 2008 period, the Packers made two key decisions at quarterback. A third Hall of Fame-bound passer’s Green Bay career has now wrapped, and like the second, Aaron Rodgers relocated to the Big Apple. As they did after trading Brett Favre to the Jets 15 years ago, the […]

Green Bay Packers wide receiver Romeo Doubs has reportedly been quarterback Jordan Love's "go-to guy" during this offseason, according to ESPN's Rob Demovsky. Doubs and Love built a solid rapport while with the second team during the 2022 offseason and that has continued as the team gears up for the 2023 season. The second-year wideout was off to a strong start in his rookie season before suffering a high-ankle sprain in Week 9. In an open Green Bay receiving corps behind Christian Watson, Doubs is an interesting late-round flyer in fantasy drafts this season.
