Jake Ferguson Has An Excellent Matchup In Week 3

Dallas Cowboys tight end Jake Ferguson has an excellent matchup in Week 3 against the Arizona Cardinals. Ferguson scored a touchdown in Week 2 and finished as the overall TE11, but he only has a 15.9% target share, likely leaving him as a touchdown dependent streaming option at best. Still, the Cardinals defense allowed the most yards to tight ends last season and they've allowed the third most yards to tight ends this year. The matchup doesn't get much better than this for a tight end, but Ferguson is still just a high-end TE2.

Jake Ferguson Scores A Touchdown In Week 2

Dallas Cowboys tight end Jake Ferguson scored a touchdown in a Week 2 win over the New York Jets. Ferguson was targeted four times, making three catches for 11 total yards, including a four-yard gain on his touchdown. Ferguson likely won't see enough targets each week to be much more than a touchdown-dependent option at the tight end position. The Cowboys will face the Cardinals in Arizona in Week 3.

Jake Ferguson - Week 2 Outlook for Fantasy Football

Dallas Cowboys tight end Jake Ferguson isn't a great fantasy option in a Week 2 game against the New York Jets. Ferguson had plenty of preseason hype, but came up with just two catches for 11 yards in Week 1. He was very inefficient and only ran routes on 56% of the Cowboys dropbacks. He'll face a tough Jets defense and while any Cowboys tight end will always have touchdown upside, he comes with a zero floor this week and should be seen as a lower-end TE2.

Jake Ferguson Leads The Cowboys In Targets In Week 1

Dallas Cowboys tight end Jake Ferguson led the team in passing game targets in an easy 40-0 Week 1 win over the New York Giants. Ferguson saw seven targets, but was only able to come down with two catches for 11 yards. Still, the heavy target share was encouraging, as Dak Prescott only threw 24 passes in total. While this wasn't a productive game for the second year tight end, the encouraging involvement may predict some bigger weeks ahead.

Jake Ferguson Looks For A Strong Week 1

Dallas Cowboys tight end Jake Ferguson will look for a good Week 1 performance in his first game as a full-fledged starter. Working behind Dalton Schultz last season, Ferguson caught 19 of the 22 balls thrown his way. He'll have some competition from second round rookie tight end Luke Schoonmaker, but Ferguson could see plenty of targets and become a red zone factor if things go his way. Not currently on too many fantasy radars, Ferguson has some touchdown dependent TE1 upside and a decent floor.

Offseason In Review: Dallas Cowboys

Even after back-to-back 12-5 seasons, Mike McCarthy faces pressure going into his fourth year as Cowboys HC. The former Packers leader’s second-chance tenure has proven successful; he is the first Cowboys coach to guide the team to back-to-back playoff berths since Chan Gailey (1998-99). McCarthy will assume greater ownership of the team in Year 4 […]

Dallas Cowboys second-year tight end Jake Ferguson's stock has taken a noticeable upturn during training camp, according to The Athletic's Saad Yousuf. Ferguson will be taking over No. 1 tight end duties in Dallas this year after the departure of Dalton Schultz, who was one of quarterback Dak Prescott's favorite targets. The 24-year-old caught 19 passes for 174 yards and two touchdowns in 16 games (eight starts) in his rookie year in 2022 and has built on his role this summer. If Ferguson continues to earn Prescott's trust in 2023, he could be a high-volume piece in a stacked offensive skill group. He'll probably go undrafted in most standard-sized fantasy leagues, but Ferguson could become a popular streamer by the end of the year if he continues to improve. Prescott has even labeled Ferguson as a potential breakout player this season.

Jake Ferguson Is Dallas' Clear No. 1 Tight End

Dallas Cowboys rookie second-round tight end Luke Schoonmaker (foot) hasn't been practicing at training camp because of plantar fasciitis. That has allowed Jake Ferguson to be the clear No. 1 tight end and the favorite to get the majority of targets that had gone to Dalton Schultz over the last three seasons in Dallas. Schultz averaged 94 targets per year over the last three campaigns. Ferguson was targeted 22 times as a rookie in 2022, finishing with 19 receptions for 174 yards and two touchdowns. Those numbers should go up significantly, even once Schoonmaker returns to the fold. The 24-year-old Ferguson will enter the 2023 season as a deep sleeper as a TE2 in fantasy drafts.
