Garrett Wilson Has Been Cleared Of Any Injury

New York Jets head coach Robert Saleh said wide receiver Garrett Wilson has been cleared of any injuries after the Week 2 loss on the road to the Dallas Cowboys on Sunday. Wilson went to the medical tent on the sidelines at one point on Sunday, but it's believed that he only had the wind knocked out of him. Despite working with quarterback Zach Wilson against one of the best defenses in the league, the 23-year-old pass-catcher hauled in two of his eight targets for 83 yards and a touchdown before getting banged up. His solid day for fantasy managers would have looked a lot different without the long touchdown, but Garrett Wilson now has 117 yards and two touchdowns in his first two games of 2023. He'll face another difficult matchup in Week 3 against the New England Patriots defense.

Garrett Wilson Scores Long Touchdown In Week 2

New York Jets wide receiver Garrett Wilson finished with two receptions for 83 yards and a touchdown on eight targets in the team's 30-10 loss to the Dallas Cowboys. The 23-year-old left late in the contest following a brief trip to the medical tent but head coach Robert Saleh later confirmed that he just had the wind knocked out of him. Wilson was clearly the favorite target of quarterback Zach Wilson, but the two only displayed chemistry in the second quarter when Wilson picked up over 50 yards after the catch to score on a short pass. The second-year wideout will continue to make highlight plays and post relevant fantasy performances but it's clear that his value has taken a massive hit with the season-ending injury to Aaron Rodgers (Achilles). Wilson will hope to get on the same page as his quarterback in a Week 3 divisional showdown with the New England Patriots.

Garrett Wilson - Week 2 Outlook for Fantasy Football

New York Jets wide receiver Garrett Wilson managed a solid fantasy showing with Zach Wilson at the helm in Week 1 and will hope to continue his success against the Dallas Cowboys in Week 2. The 23-year-old is incredibly talented, but it's difficult to get excited about his fantasy outlook for the rest of the season without Aaron Rodgers (Achilles) under center. Although the Cowboys surrendered a fair amount of fantasy production to opposing wideouts in 2022, there are reasons to be concerned about how Zach Wilson will fare against a Dallas defense that just shut down the New York Giants. The second-year pro is still a viable fantasy option but should only be viewed as a low-end WR2 this week.

Garrett Wilson Makes Incredible Touchdown Catch In Divisional Win

New York Jets wide receiver Garrett Wilson secured all five of his targets for 34 yards and a touchdown in a Week 1 victory over the Buffalo Bills. Wilson somehow came down with a circus catch on a three-yard touchdown pass from Zach Wilson that tied the contest with less than five minutes to play in the fourth quarter. With Aaron Rodgers (ankle) likely to miss significant time, Wilson may unfortunately struggle to pay off his ADP in the second round of fantasy drafts this season. There is, however, reason to be optimistic that Zach Wilson can improve on a disappointing 2022 campaign after a strong showing in the preseason. Fantasy managers should temper their expectations for the young wideout going forward but continue to start him as a WR2. A matchup against a stout Dallas defense is on tap for Week 2.

Garrett Wilson Can Be Trusted As WR1 In Season Opener

New York Jets wide receiver Garrett Wilson is coming off of a stellar rookie campaign and will be looking to build upon his achievements in year two. His first opportunity to do so will come at home against the Buffalo Bills on Monday night. With Aaron Rodgers now under center, Wilson could establish himself as a dominant fantasy force early in 2023 as Buffalo surrendered the seventh-most PPR fantasy points per contest to wideouts last year. The 23-year-old displayed chemistry with his new quarterback in the preseason and is likely to be the focal point of New York's passing attack. Fantasy managers should have confidence deploying Wilson as a WR1 to open the season.

Offseason In Review: New York Jets

As aggressive New York Jets offseason saw the organization accelerate its timeline to 2023. While the 2022 iteration of the team had some warts, the Jets also showed significant progress during Robert Saleh‘s second season at the helm. The Jets had both the Offensive and Defensive Rookies of the Year in Garrett Wilson and Sauce […]

New York Jets wide receiver Garrett Wilson secured all three of his targets for 30 yards and a touchdown in the team's 32-24 preseason win against the New York Giants. Wilson took the field for New York's first two drives and was clearly the favorite target of quarterback Aaron Rodgers. The duo's chemistry was on full display when Rodgers connected with Wilson on a dime for a 14-yard score. The second-year wideout is poised for a breakout season after finishing as the fantasy WR19 with below-average quarterback play in 2022. Fantasy managers should feel comfortable drafting Wilson in the second round as a low-end WR1 with upside.

Garrett Wilson Does More Than Expected Thursday

New York Jets wide receiver Garrett Wilson (ankle) returned to practice on Thursday at training camp and did more than expected. He took a handful of repetitions in 11-on-11 work and even caught two passes. Wilson seemed to have no problem cutting on the grass field after suffering a minor low-ankle sprain early in camp. The Jets have brought the 23-year-old pass-catcher along slowly in camp. As long as no setbacks happen, he'll be 100 percent healthy for Week 1 of the regular season, where he'll be a top-10 fantasy receiver now that he'll be taking passes from future Hall of Fame quarterback Aaron Rodgers. Wilson isn't expected to play in the team's second preseason game this weekend.

Garrett Wilson To Do Individual Drills Thursday

New York Jets wide receiver Garrett Wilson (ankle) will do individual drills in training camp practice on Thursday, according to head coach Robert Saleh. Wilson suffered a minor low-ankle sprain at the beginning of training camp and has yet to return to team drills in practice out of an abundance of caution for the team's No. 1 wideout. The Jets don't expect the 23-year-old to be limited for much longer, though, and he still has plenty of time to get ready for Week 1. However, don't expect to see Wilson playing in this Saturday's preseason contest against the Carolina Panthers. After putting up a 1,000-yard season in his rookie campaign with shoddy quarterback play, Wilson is a lock as a top-12 fantasy wideout heading into his sophomore campaign with Aaron Rodgers now at QB in New York.

Garrett Wilson Held Out Of Team Drills

New York Jets wide receiver Garrett Wilson (ankle) was allowed to do individual drills at training camp practice on Wednesday, but he was held out of team work. The Jets aren't rushing their top wideout back onto the field this summer after he sustained a low-ankle sprain early in camp. The 23-year-old still has plenty of time to get back to 100 percent before the regular season starts. He's likely to sit out of the team's second preseason contest this Saturday against the Carolina Panthers. Wilson put up an impressive 83-1,103-4 line in 17 games in his rookie campaign in 2022. Given the fact that he's now upgrading with future Hall of Fame quarterback Aaron Rodgers this year, Wilson is a shoe-in as a top-12 fantasy wideout.

Garrett Wilson To Return On Tuesday

New York Jets wide receiver Garrett Wilson (ankle) was expected to return on Saturday, but the team decided to take the cautious approach. The second-year wideout suffered an ankle sprain in late July. Wilson hasn't been able to participate in team activities since then. The good news is, Wilson is supposed to return on a limited basis on Tuesday. After that, Wilson should be fine for joint practices with the Carolina Panthers on Wednesday and Thursday. It's uncertain if Wilson is going to suit up for the Jets second preseason contest next weekend.

Garrett Wilson Should Return Saturday

New York Jets head coach Robert Saleh said that wide receiver Garrett Wilson (ankle) should return to training camp practice on Saturday. Wilson missed another practice on Tuesday after suffering a low-ankle sprain last Thursday in camp. The 23-year-old second-year wideout won't feature at all in Thursday's Hall of Fame game against the Cleveland Browns, but he'll be fine well before Week 1 of the regular season. Wilson could even be ready to rock for the team's second preseason contest on Aug. 12 against the Carolina Panthers. The impressive pass-catcher put up over 1,000 yards receiving with New York's awful QB situation last year, so he'll have clear WR1 upside in fantasy in 2023 with quarterback Aaron Rodgers running the show.

Garrett Wilson, Corey Davis Still Not Practicing

New York Jets wide receivers Garrett Wilson (ankle) and Corey Davis (illness) are both out of training camp practice again on Tuesday. Wilson suffered a low-ankle sprain in last Thursday's practice and hasn't been out on the field since. It's not a serious injury and the second-year wideout should be considered day-to-day. The 23-year-old has plenty of time to heal up before the start of the regular season, but he won't be appearing in Thursday's Hall of Fame game against the Cleveland Browns. Wilson thoroughly impressed in his rookie campaign in 2022, catching 83 of 147 targets for 1,103 yards and four touchdowns in 17 games (12 starts). With quarterback Aaron Rodgers now running the offense, more will be expected out of Wilson as a bona-fide WR1 in fantasy.

Garrett Wilson Dealing With Low-Ankle Sprain

New York Jets wide receiver Garrett Wilson (ankle) hobbled off the field and left practice early on Thursday, and he is reportedly dealing with a low-ankle sprain. The team is going to be cautious with him, per head coach Robert Saleh. That said, he could miss several upcoming practices, meaning Allen Lazard, Corey Davis (out Sunday with illness), Randall Cobb, and Mecole Hardman Jr. could get additional looks from Aaron Rodgers during training camp. While an offseason injury to a star fantasy receiver is concerning, Wilson seems to be at very little risk of missing regular season action.

Garrett Wilson Should Be OK

New York Jets wide receiver Garrett Wilson (ankle) injured his ankle in training camp practice on Thursday and limped off the field and to the trainer's room, but all indications are that he'll be OK, according to head coach Robert Saleh. The Jets avoided a disaster early in camp, as it appears the 23-year-old avoided a serious injury. Wilson could miss a few days of practice, but he should be good to go for Week 1 of the regular season after thoroughly impressing in his rookie campaign in 2022 with over 1,000 yards receiving on 83 receptions. The Jets have more capable pass-catchers around him this year in Allen Lazard and Mecole Hardman Jr., but Wilson should remain the top dog, and he could actually improve in his sophomore season with future Hall of Famer Aaron Rodgers now running the offense.

Jul 27 · ESPN Raiders Jets Davante Adams Aaron Rodgers Garrett WilsonGarrett Wilson Limps Off Field Thursday

New York Jets wide receiver Garrett Wilson (ankle) limped off the practice field at training camp on Thursday with an apparent ankle injury and was taken to the locker room. It looks like Wilson was able to leave under his own power, which is a good sign, but it's not what you want to see so early in camp. The 23-year-old had an outstanding rookie year in 2022 with 1,103 receiving yards and four touchdowns on 147 targets and could do even more damage in his sophomore season with quarterback Aaron Rodgers now in town. We'll pass along any updates on Wilson's condition. Until we know more, consider him day-to-day. If it's a significant injury that causes him to miss extended time, Allen Lazard, Mecole Hardman Jr. and Corey Davis would see more targets in the passing game.

Jets Not Planning To Keep Corey Davis At Current Salary

Running back pay cuts have been a regular offseason talking point, but the Jets are preparing to give Corey Davis an ultimatum. The veteran wide receiver may be on the chopping block, should he balk at a pay-cut request. Robert Saleh and GM Joe Douglas have said Davis is in the team’s plans. This came […]
