  • Cardinals Get Down To 53 Players

    Headshot for David Blough

The source of some strange, unpredicted preseason trades in the past few weeks, the Cardinals have been busy trying to figure out the 53-man roster they’ll open the season with. While some of their biggest cuts came in the days leading up to the deadline and the team is likely to continue making adjustments leading […]

  • Keaontay Ingram Barely Involved In Team's 18-17 Victory

    Headshot for James Conner

Arizona Cardinals running back Keaontay Ingram was barely involved in the team's third and final preseason game versus the Minnesota Vikings on Saturday. In the epic come-from-behind victory, Ingram had only four carries for 20 yards. While the volume and stats weren't there in this one, Ingram does still project to be the number two back for Arizona behind James Conner. Despite Ingram's rough rookie season, Conner's injury history makes this backfield fascinating as the team prepares for their Week 1 matchup vs. the Washington Commanders.

  • Keaontay Ingram Scores, Making Strong Case To Be Arizona's RB2

    Headshot for James Conner

Arizona Cardinals second-year running back Keaontay Ingram was everywhere in the Cardinals' loss to the Chiefs on Saturday with seven carries, two catches, and a kick return. He had 28 rushing yards, 20 receiving yards, and another 10 yards as a returner. The 2022 sixth-rounder's high point was a five-yard touchdown run in the second quarter. Ingram is looking to solidify his position as James Conner's backup, and while no one is questioning Conner's RB1 status, he has missed at least two games every season, including four in 2022. Ingram could be worth stashing this season, given his versatility and Conner's history with injuries.

  • Keaontay Ingram Dealing With Injury At Camp

    Headshot for Corey Clement

Arizona Cardinals running back Keaontay Ingram has not been practicing of late at training camp due to an undisclosed injury. The Cardinals are unlikely to use starter James Conner much, if at all, during the preseason, so Arizona added to their running back depth on Friday by signing veteran Marlon Mack. Outside of Conner and Ingram, the Cardinals lack experience with names like Corey Clement, Ty'Son Williams and rookie Emari Demercado in the backfield. Ingram, 23, is a former sixth-rounder from last year. He saw only 27 carries in his first year in the NFL in 2022 and ran for 60 yards and one touchdown in 12 games (zero starts). Ingram won't be worth drafting in standard-sized leagues, but he'll become a popular waiver-wire pickup if Conner misses time with injury in 2023 due to Arizona's lack of depth behind Conner.
