  • Deon Jackson Limited Thursday

Indianapolis Colts running back Deon Jackson (knee) was a limited participant in Thursday's practice. He did not play against the Las Vegas Raiders in Week 10 due to a knee injury. The 23-year-old will have one more chance to log a full practice ahead of Sunday's game against the Philadelphia Eagles. Jackson will have a complimentary role behind star running back Jonathan Taylor if active. Fantasy managers can avoid using Jackson in a tough matchup against the Eagles, as he will have a minimal role at best if he does suit up in Week 11.

  • Deon Jackson Ruled Out For Week 10

Indianapolis Colts running back Deon Jackson (knee) will not play against the Las Vegas Raiders in Week 10. Jackson suffered the injury in the Week 9 loss to the New England Patriots. Jonathan Taylor is expected to play after putting in a full practice this week, so he should get a workhorse role against the Raiders, who have given up the third-most fantasy points to running backs through nine weeks. Zack Moss might get some work too, but it's tough to project him as even a deep-league desperation play until further notice.

  • Deon Jackson Misses Another Practice

Indianapolis Colts running back Deon Jackson (knee) missed his second straight day of practice this week on Thursday. Jackson is trending towards missing the Week 10 contest against the Las Vegas Raiders. With Jonathan Taylor (ankle) on track to return this Sunday, Jackson won't have any relevance for fantasy lineups, even if he's active. If Jackson cannot play, newly acquired running back Zack Moss could have a substantial role as the backup to Taylor, but not enough of one to be considered a viable fantasy starter. The Colts will also likely elevate Jordan Wilkins from the practice squad if Jackson cannot play. Jackson is only interesting as an RB3/flex play if Taylor misses any more time due to injury.

  • Deon Jackson Misses Practice Wednesday

Indianapolis Colts running back Deon Jackson (knee) was absent from Wednesday's practice. The 23-year-old had high expectations heading into Week 9 with a workhorse role available while lead back Jonathan Taylor (ankle) was nursing an injury. Unfortunately, those expectations fell short as the second-year back disappointed with just 36 yards from scrimmage on 13 total touches. Taylor was available for practice on Wednesday, albeit in a limited fashion. So, even if Jackson manages to suit up for Week 10, he might just fall back into his role as a handcuff for fantasy managers.

  • Deon Jackson Shut Down Against Patriots

Indianapolis Colts running back Deon Jackson rushed 11 times for 23 yards while adding two catches for 13 yards in Week 9 against the New England Patriots. Jackson started this one but was shut down in a game where the Patriots defense completely dominated from start to finish. Quarterback Sam Ehlinger actually led the team in rushing with 39 yards. Head coach Frank Reich dubbed Jackson as the guy heading into this one, and he technically was, as no other Colts running back had more than three carries. This could potentially be Jackson's last chance to be fantasy relevant, as Jonathan Taylor (ankle) looks to shake off his injury while Zack Moss enters the Colts backfield.

  • Deon Jackson Loses His Value

Indianapolis Colts running back Deon Jackson (quad) was able to practice in full on Thursday. The expectation is that he'll be able to suit up for the upcoming matchup against the Tennessee Titans. Last week, Jackson stole the show with 42 rushing yards, while hauling in 10 receptions for 79 yards before exiting with a quad issue. The 23-year-old looked good, but is expected to fall back into his reserve role in Week 7. Jonathan Taylor (ankle) and Nyheim Hines (concussion) are getting healthy and should suit up this week. That being said, Jackson is unlikely to have much value with both backs likely returning this weekend.

  • Jonathan Taylor, Nyheim Hines, Deon Jackson All At Practice

Indianapolis Colts running backs Jonathan Taylor (ankle), Nyheim Hines (concussion), and Deon Jackson (quad) all practiced on Wednesday. More importantly, all three were in their normal practice gear, suggesting they should be ready to play in Week 7 against the Tennessee Titans. Taylor has missed the past two weeks after suffering an ankle injury in Week 4 against the Titans. Meanwhile, Hines suffered a concussion early in Week 5, and Jackson left last week's game early with a quad injury. Assuming all three are ready to go on Sunday, Taylor and Hines should return to their normal roles, while Jackson likely is limited to special teams snaps. However, Taylor was on track to play last week before the Colts ruled him out on Saturday. Fantasy players should hold onto Jackson until Taylor is either off the injury report or officially active on gameday.

  • Deon Jackson Done For The Day

Indianapolis Colts running back Deon Jackson (quad) has been ruled out for the remainder of Week 6 versus the Jacksonville Jaguars. For the time being, the Colts' backfield will be led by fourth-string back Phillip Lindsay. He finishes the day with 42 rushing yards and one rushing touchdown, but more notably, he racked up a whopping 10 receptions and 79 receiving yards.

  • Deon Jackson Start-Worthy With Taylor, Hines Out

Indianapolis Colts running back Deon Jackson is in line to potentially make his first NFL start on Sunday with Jonathan Taylor (ankle) and Nyheim Hines (concussion) inactive against the Jacksonville Jaguars. Phillip Lindsay also figures to be involved, but Jackson out-touched Lindsay 17 to 14 in Week 5 and remained on the active roster ahead of him. Jackson totaled 62 yards on the ground last week and was effective in the passing game as well, hauling in all four of his targets for 29 yards. In Week 6, he will face a Jaguars defense that has allowed the ninth-most PPR fantasy points to running backs so far this season. Fantasy managers should look to start Jackson as a low-end RB2 or flex play this week.

  • Deon Jackson Could Have Flex Value

Indianapolis Colts running back Deon Jackson could be forced into a bigger role against the Jacksonville Jaguars in Week 6. The Colts could be limited on options at running back with Jonathan Taylor (ankle) and Nyheim Hines (concussion) both questionable for this game. That being said, Jackson might end up being the lead back if neither back is able to suit up. Last week, Jackson finished with 62 rushing yards on 13 attempts with four receptions for an additional 29 yards through the air. He could potentially be a flex option if he's forced into a heavy workload once again versus the Jags this weekend. That will depend on the status of both Taylor and Hines.

  • Deon Jackson Efficient In Thursday's Win Over Denver

Indianapolis Colts running back Deon Jackson rushed 13 times for 62 yards and caught all four targets for 29 yards in Thursday's overtime win over the Denver Broncos. He led the Colts in rushing yards and took on a more prominent role once Nyheim Hines (concussion) suffered a concussion in the first quarter and was ruled out for the rest of the game. Jackson split carries with Phillip Lindsay but out produced him by 22 rushing yards on Thursday. The 23-year-old could have an expanded role in Week 6 against the Jaguars if Jonathan Taylor (ankle) and Hines are ruled out. Jackson is a speculative add in deep-league formats.
