Joshua Palmer Expected To Become No. 3 Receiver
The Athletic's Daniel Popper expects Los Angeles Chargers wide receiver Joshua Palmer to distance himself as the clear No. 3 receiver during training camp, behind Keenan Allen and Mike Williams. The Chargers didn't make any significant additions to the receiver room in the offseason, and their belief in Palmer could be a big reason why. The former third-rounder has solid hands and displays sharp route-running abilities, and he also has outstanding work ethic. The 23-year-old had a solid rookie season in 2021 with 33 receptions for 353 yards and four touchdowns, and Popper sees him making a sizable jump in Year 2. He impressed during offseason workouts and his stock is on the rise as a breakout candidate in the late rounds of drafts.

Joshua Palmer Getting Noticed
Los Angeles Chargers wide receiver Josh Palmer has been making quite the impression lately. "He's been much more confident," quarterback Justin Herbert said regarding the sophomore wideout. "He knows exactly where he's going. I feel comfortable with him." Palmer, a third-round selection of the 2021 NFL Draft, finished last season by racking up 49 catches for 353 yards and four touchdowns, with three of those end zone trips occurring from Week 14 and beyond. He was spotted lining up as the WR3 during the club's recent mandatory minicamp, and while Keenan Allen and Mike Williams should receive most of Herbert's attention in 2022-23, Palmer could have more than a few impactful fantasy performances on the horizon, especially if one of those guys were to succumb to injury.

Joshua Palmer Works With First Team
Los Angeles Chargers wide receiver Joshua Palmer was on the field with Keenan Allen and Mike Williams and the first-team offense during mandatory minicamp practice this week. Tight end Gerald Everett was also working with the starters. Palmer, who was a third-round pick out of Tennessee last year, caught 33 passes for 353 yards and four touchdowns on 49 targets in his rookie season in 17 games (five starts) while splitting No. 3 receiver duties with Jalen Guyton. Guyton is still around and will compete for snaps and targets, but the 23-year-old Palmer could be looking at a bigger role as the Chargers' No. 3 pass-catcher this year, which could make him a boom/bust WR4/5 in deeper fantasy formats.
