This divisional showdown has the lowest projected point total of the week, so Wilson shouldn't be expected to put up big numbers. Fantasy managers should look elsewhere for a streaming option this week as Wilson should only be rostered in superflex and 2QB leagues.

Garrett Wilson Has Been Cleared Of Any Injury

New York Jets head coach Robert Saleh said wide receiver Garrett Wilson has been cleared of any injuries after the Week 2 loss on the road to the Dallas Cowboys on Sunday. Wilson went to the medical tent on the sidelines at one point on Sunday, but it's believed that he only had the wind knocked out of him. Despite working with quarterback Zach Wilson against one of the best defenses in the league, the 23-year-old pass-catcher hauled in two of his eight targets for 83 yards and a touchdown before getting banged up. His solid day for fantasy managers would have looked a lot different without the long touchdown, but Garrett Wilson now has 117 yards and two touchdowns in his first two games of 2023. He'll face another difficult matchup in Week 3 against the New England Patriots defense.

Zach Wilson Struggles Against Dallas In Week 2

New York Jets quarterback Zach Wilson completed 12 of his 27 pass attempts for 170 yards, one touchdown, and three interceptions in a 30-10 loss to the Dallas Cowboys. He added 36 rushing yards on five carries. Wilson struggled to lead New York's offense in his first start of the 2023 campaign, but this was to be expected against a stout Dallas defensive unit. His lone score of the game came on a pass to wide receiver Garrett Wilson who picked up over 50 yards after the catch to find the end zone in the second quarter. The third-year quarterback certainly has big shoes to fill following the devastating injury to Aaron Rodgers (Achilles) in Week 1 and he was unable to do so effectively on Sunday. Wilson will have another difficult test next week against the New England Patriots.

Jets Officially Name Zach Wilson Their Starter

The New York Jets confirmed that quarterback Zach Wilson will start moving forward after Aaron Rodgers suffered a torn left Achilles in Monday night's win over the Buffalo Bills. New York Jets quarterback Zach Wilson will make the start for the team's second preseason game this Saturday against the Carolina Panthers, according to head coach Robert Saleh. This should come as no surprise, as Aaron Rodgers isn't going to play until the final preseason contest. The 24-year-old Wilson went 3-for-5 for 65 yards in the Hall of Fame game against the Cleveland Browns last Thursday night. The former second overall pick in 2021 has been a bust as a starter for the Jets in his two seasons, going 345-for-625 (55.2%) for 4,022 yards, 15 touchdowns and eight interceptions in 22 starts. The Jets can only hope that Wilson will make be better off down the road after learning from Rodgers.
