  • Jaylen Waddle Won't Play In Week 3 Against Denver

    Headshot for Jaylen Waddle

Miami Dolphins wide receiver Jaylen Waddle (concussion) won't play in Week 3 against the Denver Broncos. The superstar wide receiver suffered a concussion late in the Week 2 matchup against the New England Patriots. Miami elevated Robbie Chosen from the practice squad to the active roster, with Waddle unable to play. Wide receiver Braxton Berrios and tight end Durham Smythe should see a significant increase in snaps and targets this week with Waddle out of the lineup. Tyreek Hill will also see an increase in work on Sunday. Hopefully, Waddle can clear the concussion protocol this week and suit up for the Week 4 matchup against the Buffalo Bills.

  • Jaylen Waddle Questionable With Concussion

    Headshot for Jaylen Waddle

Miami Dolphins wide receiver Jaylen Waddle (concussion) was able to put in a limited practice on Friday but is still questionable to play in Week 3 against the Denver Broncos after he picked up a concussion in the Week 2 win over the New England Patriots. Waddle remains in the league's concussion protocol and still has a bit more time to clear it, but as of right now he's an extremely shaky lineup option for fantasy managers in Week 3. Check back on Sunday morning for his official game status. If the 24-year-old is active, he needs to be put back into all starting lineups against a Denver D that has disappointed through two weeks. If Waddle misses Sunday's contest, Braxton Berrios, River Cracraft and Erik Ezukanma will look for more targets behind All-Pro wideout Tyreek Hill.

  • Jaylen Waddle Misses Another Practice

    Headshot for Jaylen Waddle

Miami Dolphins wide receiver Jaylen Waddle (concussion) remains in the league's concussion protocol and missed a second straight practice on Thursday. Waddle took a hard hit to the helmet in the Week 2 win over the New England Patriots and is trending toward missing a Week 3 showdown at home against the Denver Broncos. The Dolphins aren't in any rush to clear the third-year pass-catcher either, so fantasy managers should already be making plans to be without him this weekend. All-Pro pass-catcher Tyreek Hill is already a weekly must-start, but he could see even more targets against a Denver defense that just allowed 35 points to the Washington Commanders. If Waddle is inactive this weekend, it will create more opportunities for Braxton Berrios, River Cracraft and Erik Ezukanma, as well as tight end Durham Smythe.

  • Dolphins Not Going To Rush Jaylen Waddle

    Headshot for Jaylen Waddle

Miami Dolphins wide receiver Jaylen Waddle (concussion) remains in the league's concussion protocol, and the Dolphins aren't going to rush him along. "I'm just I'm not really worried about the timeline," head coach Mike McDaniel said. "I'm more worried about him getting right." It means there's a very real chance he won't suit up in Week 3 against the Denver Broncos. If Waddle were to miss Sunday's home opener, it would mean more targets for Braxton Berrios, River Cracraft and/or Erik Ezukanma behind All-Pro Tyreek Hill. It could also mean Cedrick Wilson Jr. will be active for the first time this year. Waddle has two more days to try to clear the concussion protocol, but fantasy managers should be making backup plans this weekend already just in case.

  • Jaylen Waddle Remains In Concussion Protocol

    Headshot for Jaylen Waddle

Miami Dolphins wide receiver Jaylen Waddle (concussion) entered concussion protocol after taking a vicious hit against the New England Patriots on Sunday Night Football. As of Wednesday, he remains in the protocol and is not practicing. The Miami Dolphins are not likely to take any chances with head injuries, especially after the well-documented concussions of quarterback Tua Tagovailoa last season. That said, there is a real chance Waddle could miss the Week 3 game against the Denver Broncos. Fantasy managers should continue to check back for his latest injury update. If he's out, Braxton Berrios and River Cracraft could see additional targets.

  • Jaylen Waddle In The Concussion Protocol

    Headshot for Jaylen Waddle

Miami Dolphins wide receiver Jaylen Waddle (concussion) is in the league's concussion protocol after taking a hard hit to the head in Sunday night's victory over the division-rival New England Patriots. Head coach Mike McDaniel did say Waddle was "progressing" through the protocol, but that may not necessarily mean that he'll gain the clearance that he needs later this week in order to play in Week 3 against the Denver Broncos at home. The third-year wideout is a must-start in fantasy lineups if he's on the field, but fantasy managers might have a decision to make later this week. If Waddle doesn't play in Week 3, Tyreek Hill, Braxton Berrios, River Cracraft and Erik Ezukanma could all have bigger roles in the offense. Check back for Waddle's practice statuses this week, starting on Wednesday.

  • Jaylen Waddle Leaves Sunday's Game After Hit To Head

    Headshot for Jaylen Waddle

Miami Dolphins wide receiver Jaylen Waddle (concussion) exited Sunday's 24-17 win over the New England Patriots after taking a helmet-to-helmet hit late in the game. The 24-year-old headed to the blue medical tent following his departure and is being evaluated for a concussion. He caught four of his six targets for 86 yards and lost two yards on his lone carry before being declared out for the rest of the game. Waddle was nursing an oblique issue entering this one, but now he'll have another ailment to be concerned with. The star wideout will have seven days to pass concussion protocol before Week 3's clash with the Denver Broncos next Sunday. Waddle should be considered questionable at this time, and fantasy managers will need to monitor his progress throughout the week.

  • Jaylen Waddle Will Play Against Patriots

    Headshot for Jaylen Waddle

Miami Dolphins wide receiver Jaylen Waddle (oblique) put in full practices on both Thursday and Friday and was removed from the final injury report on Friday for Week 2 against the division-rival New England Patriots on Sunday night. Waddle didn't get off to the start that fantasy managers were hoping for in the Week 1 victory over the Los Angeles Chargers in a game in which the Dolphins put up 36 points -- he had four catches on five targets for 78 yards -- but Waddle will continue to be a must-start low-end WR1/high-end WR2 anytime he's active. Tyreek Hill is quarterback Tua Tagovailoa's primary target, but Waddle has the ability to break out with a monster game at any moment.

  • Jaylen Waddle Back To Full Practice

    Headshot for Jaylen Waddle

Miami Dolphins wide receiver Jaylen Waddle (oblique) improved to a full participant in practice on Thursday after he was listed as limited on Wednesday. Waddle was never really in danger of missing Week 2 against the New England Patriots on Sunday night after catching four of his five targets for 78 yards in the Week 1 victory over the Los Angeles Chargers, but now it's pretty clear he will suit up this weekend. The 24-year-old third-year pass-catcher took a back seat to teammate Tyreek Hill last Sunday, but as long as Waddle is active, he's a must-start low-end WR1/high-end WR2 in fantasy lineups on a weekly basis.

  • Jaylen Waddle Limited With Oblique Injury

    Headshot for Jaylen Waddle

Miami Dolphins wide receiver Jaylen Waddle (oblique) remains on the injury report ahead of a Week 2 game against the division-rival New England Patriots, and he was listed as a limited practice participant on Wednesday. Waddle was on last week's injury report as well before playing in the season-opening win over the Los Angeles Chargers. In that game, the 24-year-old took a back seat to Tyreek Hill, catching four of his five targets for 78 yards. Unless he suffers a setback later this week, fantasy managers should have Waddle locked into their starting lineups for this Sunday night. Even with Hill soaking up a ton of targets, Waddle was extremely productive with his second straight 1,000-yard season in 2022.

    Headshot for Jaylen Waddle

Miami Dolphins wide receiver Jaylen Waddle hauled in four of five targets for 78 yards during Sunday's win over the Los Angeles Chargers. The performance doesn't nearly compare to teammate Tyreek Hill's 215 yards and two touchdowns, but Waddle was still solid enough to keep fantasy managers satisfied. As long as quarterback Tua Tagovailoa is healthy, Waddle should be viewed as a WR2 in fantasy football. Miami takes on the New England Patriots next week.

  • Offseason In Review: Miami Dolphins

    Headshot for Devon Achane

Following a busy offseason in 2022, the Dolphins didn’t take nearly as many swings in 2023. It’s hard to blame them. The front office didn’t have to make up for any mistakes from last spring, as the team’s major acquisitions (receiver Tyreek Hill and offensive tackle Terron Armstead) both proved to be worth the investment. • Jaylen Waddle Opens 2023 With Impressive Upside

    Headshot for Jaylen Waddle

Miami Dolphins wide receiver Jaylen Waddle (oblique) is a high-end WR2 with WR1 upside ahead of Sunday's season opener against the Los Angeles Chargers. Despite being second on the depth chart behind Tyreek Hill, Waddle has shown time and time again that he can carve out his own role in the offense. Even while catching passes from Skylar Thompson and Teddy Bridgewater last year, he delivered 12 double-digit fantasy finishes, including four games with at least 20 points. Waddle will likely line up against J.C. Jackson this weekend.

  • Jaylen Waddle Practices In Full Thursday

    Headshot for Jaylen Waddle

Miami Dolphins wide receiver Jaylen Waddle (oblique) practiced in full on Thursday. The wideout logged a limited session on Wednesday, so fantasy managers are certainly more than pleased with the update. Assuming things continue to trend in a favorable direction, Waddle should be good to go on Sunday versus the Los Angeles Chargers. If that's the case, he's a must-start in all fantasy formats, considering this game should feature plenty of scoring.

  • Jaylen Waddle Limited In First Practice

    Headshot for Jaylen Waddle

Miami Dolphins wide receiver Jaylen Waddle (oblique) was listed as a limited practice participant on Wednesday in the team's first official practice of the 2023 regular season. All expectations are that Waddle will suit up in the Week 1 regular season opener this Sunday against the Los Angeles Chargers, barring a setback later this week in practice. If the 24-year-old gets in a full practice on Thursday or Friday, he might come off the injury report altogether. As long as Waddle is active, he should be a must-start WR1 all season long after posting 179 receptions (257 targets) for 2,371 yards and 14 touchdowns in 33 starts in his first two NFL campaigns. He led the NFL in 2022 with 18.1 yards per catch.

  • Jaylen Waddle Practicing Monday

    Headshot for Jaylen Waddle

Miami Dolphins head coach Mike McDaniel said that wide receiver Jaylen Waddle (abdomen) was scheduled to practice on Monday. Waddle said last week that he was "feeling good" and fully expects to play this Sunday against the Los Angeles Chargers in Week 1 of the regular season. The 24-year-old pass-catcher suffered an abdominal injury nearly four weeks ago, so he should be good to go this week for fantasy managers. Even with All-Pro teammate Tyreek Hill soaking up consistent targets through the air in Miami, there's enough to go around for Waddle to make him a low-end WR1 in 2023. In his second NFL campaign last year, he had 75 receptions on 117 targets for a career-high 1,356 yards (league-high 18.1 yards per catch) and eight touchdowns in 17 regular season starts.

  • Jaylen Waddle Expects To Play In Week 1

    Headshot for Jaylen Waddle

Miami Dolphins wide receiver Jaylen Waddle (abdomen) said he's "feeling good" and expects to play in Week 1 against the Los Angeles Chargers. Waddle suffered an abdomen injury around three weeks ago and was limited in Tuesday's practice, so as long as he doesn't suffer any sort of setback, he should be good to go for all starting fantasy lineups to kick off the regular season in 2023. Even with All-Pro Tyreek Hill soaking up plenty of targets from quarterback Tua Tagovailoa, the 24-year-old Waddle will have WR1 upside each and every week. He has exceeded 1,000 yards receiving in each of his two NFL seasons and caught 75 passes (117 targets) for 1,356 yards (league-high 18.1 yards per catch) and eight touchdowns in 17 regular season starts in 2022.

  • Jaylen Waddle Progressing Well For Week 1

    Headshot for Jaylen Waddle

Miami Dolphins wide receiver Jaylen Waddle (midsection) was in uniform for stretching at practice on Tuesday but did rehab outside instead of repetitions with the team inside the facility. Waddle seems to be progressing well, though head coach Mike McDaniel said they will be cautious with him and protect him from himself with Week 1 in mind. The 24-year-old wideout already has 179 receptions for 2,371 yards and 14 touchdowns in just two NFL seasons. As long as quarterback Tua Tagovailoa can stay healthy, he should be a fringe WR1 once again in 2023 alongside Tyreek Hill.

  • Dolphins To Be Conservative With Jaylen Waddle

    Headshot for Jaylen Waddle

Miami Dolphins wide receiver Jaylen Waddle (abdomen) does not have a timetable for when he will return, but coach Mike McDaniel said Sunday that he's happy with how the third-year wideout is recovering. Waddle suffered the injury during a joint practice with the Atlanta Falcons earlier this week. At this point, there's no reason to be concerned about his availability for Week 1. The former Alabama wide receiver had a league-high 18.1 yards per catch last year, while also going for over 1,000 yards. Waddle is a low-end WR1/high-end WR2 in fantasy football.

  • Jaylen Waddle Is "Fine"

    Headshot for Jaylen Waddle

Miami Dolphins head coach Mike McDaniel said that wide receiver Jaylen Waddle is "fine" after suffering a midsection injury in training camp practice on Wednesday. His injury is not a serious/long-term absence. Waddle didn't play in Friday's preseason opener against the Atlanta Falcons, but Miami also didn't play most of their high-profile offensive players. The 24-year-old should be just fine to play later in the preseason and be ready for the Week 1 regular season opener. Waddle had a league-high 18.1 yards per catch last year in his sophomore season while also going for over 1,000 yards receiving for the second straight year and scoring eight touchdowns in 17 regular season starts. Even with All-Pro Tyreek Hill soaking up targets in the Dolphins passing attack, Waddle is a low-end WR1/high-end WR2 in fantasy.

  • Jaylen Waddle Injures His Side Wednesday

    Headshot for Jaylen Waddle

Miami Dolphins wide receiver Jaylen Waddle (side) left training camp practice on Wednesday and walked into the locker room under his own power while being accompanied by trainers. Waddle left practice after making a catch during team drills and looked to be holding his side. We'll continue to give you more information when it becomes available, but for now, consider Waddle to be day-to-day. The 24-year-old comes into fantasy drafts this fall as a low-end WR1/high-end WR2 in fantasy after leading the NFL with 18.1 yards per catch in 2022. The former sixth overall pick in 2021, Waddle finished last year with 75 receptions for 1,356 yards and eight touchdowns, so he's a huge part of Miami's offense next to All-Pro teammate Tyreek Hill.
