  • Jags, Trevor Lawrence Begin Extension Talks

    Headshot for Trevor Lawrence

Trevor Lawrence‘s ascent encountered some turbulence last season; the Jaguars flopped down the stretch and missed the playoffs. That ending has not changed the organization’s plans with its centerpiece player. Franchise-caliber quarterbacks often sign extensions before their fourth season. Lawrence is now in that window, becoming extension-eligible in January. Proceeding down that path, GM Trent […]

  • Jaguars' Interior Offensive Line Must Improve

    Headshot for Trevor Lawrence

The Jacksonville Jaguars finished last season next to last in yards before contact per rush (0.94), which is no wonder they also finished 30th in yards per attempt (3.6), 31st in rushing EPA and 30th in rushing success rate. The Athletic's Jim Ayello writes that their ground game must improve if quarterback Trevor Lawrence and company hope to get back into the AFC title hunt in 2024. It will start with upgrades on the interior offensive line this offseason. Luke Fortner showed he isn't the answer at center. The Jaguars don't appear to have a starting left guard under contract, and right guard Brandon Scherff may be cut for salary cap relief. It all means that the Jaguars are going to need to serious look for upgrades on their offensive line in free agency and the draft.

  • "No Doubt" About Jaguars Long Term Relationship With Trevor Lawrence

    Headshot for Trevor Lawrence

Jacksonville Jaguars quarterback Trevor Lawrence is eligible for a contract extension this offseason after playing out the first three years of his deal, and general manager Trent Baalke said there's "no doubt" about the former first overall pick's long-term relationship with the organization. Lawrence is coming off an up-and-down season in 2023 that was marred by several injuries. He's eligible to have his fifth-year option picked up, which would be worth a projected $21.978 million. The Jaguars may not necessarily give Lawrence a long-term contract extension this offseason, but it's likely coming and will almost certainly be record-breaking. In 2023, Lawrence completed 65.6% of his passes for 4,016 yards, 21 touchdowns and 14 interceptions while losing seven fumbles. He was also sacked 35 times, 12th-most in the league. With better health in 2024, Lawrence could be primed for a bounce-back campaign.

  • Jaguars To Discuss Potential Extension With Trevor Lawrence

    Headshot for Trevor Lawrence

Jacksonville Jaguars general manager Trent Baalke said the team will have a "heart to heart" discussion with quarterback Trevor Lawrence this offseason about whether a long-term contract extension happens now or in 2025. The Jaguars will almost certainly pick up Lawrence's fifth-year option at some point this offseason. The former first overall pick out of Clemson led the Jags to a playoff appearance in just his second season and the team was off to a fast start in 2023 before crumbling down the stretch. The 24-year-old dealt with several injuries that most likely hurt his production, but he's now thrown for 11,770 yards, 58 touchdowns and 39 interceptions in his first three seasons. Lawrence will be a midrange QB1 for fantasy managers heading into the 2024 season, and an extension is likely a matter of when, not if, for Lawrence and the Jaguars.

  • Trevor Lawrence Can't Lift Jags To Playoff Appearance

    Headshot for Trevor Lawrence

Jacksonville Jaguars quarterback Trevor Lawrence (shoulder, finger) threw for 280 yards, two touchdowns, and two picks off 29-for-43 passing in Sunday's loss to the Titans. He added three carries for 10 yards. This wasn't Lawrence's worst showing of his career. However, it wasn't good enough to get the Jaguars into the postseason. The signal-caller has battled various injuries throughout the year, so it's possible they were the cause of some of his mishaps. At any rate, Lawrence took a significant step back this season. He threw four fewer touchdowns than he did a season ago and also nearly doubled his number of picks. The former Clemson Tiger has some work to do, especially since his days as a starting quarterback could be coming to an end if he doesn't get his act together next season.

  • Trevor Lawrence Officially Active In Week 18

    Headshot for Trevor Lawrence

Jacksonville Jaguars quarterback Trevor Lawrence (shoulder, finger) is officially active for the Week 18 regular season finale on Sunday against the Tennessee Titans. Lawrence was held out of the Week 17 win over the Carolina Panthers but is returning to play this weekend in a must-win game. The 24-year-old will be playing through an AC joint sprain in his right shoulder and will almost certainly not be 100 percent, so he'll be extra risky in DFS and in season-long leagues for anyone still playing for a championship. The good news is Lawrence isn't at risk of reinjuring his right shoulder on Sunday, so if the Jaguars win the AFC South with a victory, he should be all systems go next weekend for the wild-card round of the postseason. Lawrence won't be getting receiver Christian Kirk (groin) back from Injured Reserve.

Jacksonville Jaguars quarterback Trevor Lawrence (shoulder, finger) is officially listed as questionable for the Week 18 matchup against the Tennessee Titans. It looks like the star quarterback will be a game-time decision, but is pushing to play. This is a must-win game for the Jags and it doesn't sound like Lawrence is at risk of reinjuring himself. This will likely come down to how Lawrence feels closer to kickoff. His absence would mean that C.J. Beathard would be under center once again. If Beathard starts then the entire Jags offense will take a hit in value. Fantasy managers will have to check back for official word closer to game time.

  • Trevor Lawrence Questionable, Could Be Game-Time Decision

    Headshot for Trevor Lawrence

Jacksonville Jaguars quarterback Trevor Lawrence (shoulder, finger) will be questionable to play in the Week 18 regular season finale against the Tennessee Titans on Sunday, and a decision on whether he plays could go up to game time. "If he's good to go, he's good to go. If he's out there, he's rolling," head coach Doug Pederson said. Lawrence sprained his right shoulder in Week 16 and didn't play in last week's win over the Carolina Panthers as a result. The 24-year-old did a little bit of throwing on Wednesday and Thursday. If we had to guess, Lawrence will be active this weekend in a must-win game for Jacksonville, and he could be getting receiver Christian Kirk (groin) back as well. With several big-name QBs being rested in the regular season finale, Lawrence will have low-end QB1 appeal for fantasy managers still playing for a championship if he's active on Sunday morning.

Jacksonville Jaguars quarterback Trevor Lawrence (shoulder) did some throwing on Thursday at the portion of practice open to the media, which is a positive sign as he attempts to play in a must-win Week 18 contest against the Tennessee Titans this Sunday. Lawrence put in a limited practice on Wednesday after missing the Week 17 win over the Carolina Panthers due to a right-shoulder injury he suffered in Week 16. All signs are pointing toward the 24-year-old returning this weekend to try and lead the team to a win and the AFC South title. Lawrence could be getting receiver Christian Kirk (core) back as well, which would only boost his fantasy value in Week 18 with many other high-end QBs being rested ahead of the playoffs next week.

Updating a previous report, Jacksonville Jaguars quarterback Trevor Lawrence (shoulder) will practice on a limited basis on Wednesday. It's a step toward playing in the must-win Week 18 regular season finale on Sunday against the Tennessee Titans. Lawrence injured his shoulder in Week 16 and was held out of the Week 17 victory over the Carolina Panthers. The 24-year-old is considered day-to-day for now, but it appears both he and receiver Christian Kirk (core) could be active this weekend in game the Jaguars need to win to secure the AFC South division. Since Week 13, Lawrence has dealt with a sprained ankle, a concussion and now a shoulder injury. He's thrown for 990 yards, seven touchdowns and five interceptions in his last four games played and will be a low-end QB1 for fantasy managers if he's able to play on Sunday against Tennessee.

In Week 18, Jacksonville can clinch the AFC South and a home playoff game in the Wild Card Round with a win over the Tennessee Titans. Needless to say, it's an important contest, and Lawrence will likely play if he's anywhere close to healthy. Lawrence has been beat up in recent weeks and missed the first game of his career in the Week 17 win over the Carolina Panthers. The 24-year-old will attempt to practice this week and play in a must-win Week 18 contest against the Tennessee Titans. C.J. Beathard took over the offense on Sunday and went 17-for-24 for 178 yards, no touchdowns or interceptions in the 26-0 win. In the Week 11 win over the Titans, Lawrence threw for 262 yards, two touchdowns and no interceptions. We'll know more on whether he'll play in Week 18 after the Jaguars hold a few practices. Jacksonville Jaguars quarterback Trevor Lawrence (shoulder) will not play in Week 17 against the Carolina Panthers but he could return for the regular season finale in Week 18 against the Tennessee Titans if the team has yet to clinch a playoff spot. Lawrence suffered a right-shoulder injury in last week's loss to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and didn't practice all week, leading backup C.J. Beathard to make his first start of the year for the Jaguars. It's been a rough couple of weeks for Lawrence, who initially sprained his ankle in Week 13 against the Cincinnati Bengals and then suffered a concussion in Week 15 against the Baltimore Ravens. The Jags are hoping his right shoulder is healed enough to play in Week 18 and into the playoffs. Beathard will be a low-end QB2 for desperate fantasy managers, even in a matchup against Carolina.

A previous report suggested that he put in a limited practice session. The 24-year-old signal-caller is dealing with a sprained AC joint in his right throwing shoulder and is up in the air to suit up in Week 17 against the Carolina Panthers. Lawrence said earlier this week he was feeling better, but he's not going to throw much this week, regardless of whether he ends up playing. The young QB hasn't been the same the last several weeks while playing through an ankle sprain and also dealing with a concussion, and now he's got a shoulder injury to worry about. Lawrence said he's feeling better but isn't going to do a lot of throwing in the lead-up to Week 17's game against the Carolina Panthers. The 24-year-old signal-caller has yet to miss a game since being drafted in 2021 and will give it his best shot to be active this Sunday. If Lawrence doesn't get cleared to play this weekend, C.J. Beathard would make his first start since the 2020 regular season finale with the San Francisco 49ers. Lawrence has yet to miss a game in his career, though, starting 49 consecutive games in the regular season and two in the playoffs since being drafted first overall in 2021. • Trevor Lawrence Has A Sprained Shoulder

    Headshot for Trevor Lawrence

According to NFL Media's Ian Rapoport, Jacksonville Jaguars quarterback Trevor Lawrence (shoulder) suffered a sprained right shoulder during Sunday's loss to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. An MRI on Monday confirmed the diagnosis. Fortunately, the injury isn't considered "major," although it's unknown if he'll miss time. The signal-caller has battled countless ailments throughout the 2023-24 campaign, including an ankle injury suffered in the overtime loss to the Cincinnati Bengals. He also entered Week 16 with a questionable tag because of a concussion. Yet, Lawrence hasn't missed a game all season, so it would be surprising if he didn't suit up in Week 17 versus the Carolina Panthers. However, The 24-year-old hasn't been consistently reliable this season, so he may not be the best fantasy option in Week 17, even with a favorable matchup on the horizon.

  • Trevor Lawrence's Shoulder Will Be Evaluated Monday

    Headshot for Trevor Lawrence

Jacksonville Jaguars quarterback Trevor Lawrence (shoulder) will get his injured shoulder evaluated on Monday after picking up the issue while diving out of bounds late in Sunday's loss to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Lawrence is starting to give Derek Carr a run for his money as the NFL's most banged-up signal-caller of 2023. The 24-year-old suffered an ankle sprain in Week 13 but gutted it out to suit up in Week 14, later entering the league's concussion protocol last Sunday night before his latest setback. The 8-7 Jaguars close Week 16 on a four-game losing skid and in a three-way tie atop the AFC South. Jacksonville fortunately draws a highly favorable matchup at home versus the 2-13 Carolina Panthers next Sunday, though it remains to be seen if their franchise QB will be available. C.J. Beathard would likely start if Lawrence is out in Week 17, hurting the fantasy expectations of those around him in the process.

Jacksonville Jaguars quarterback Trevor Lawrence completed 17-of-29 passes for 211 yards, one touchdown and two interceptions vs. Tampa Bay on Sunday. Lawrence added four rushes for 29 yards on the ground but also fumbled twice, losing one in the defeat. It was another letdown performance from the young quarterback, whose day was also cut short due to a shoulder injury sustained in the third quarter which caused Lawrence to miss the entire last period. He threw an interception on Jacksonville's first offensive drive and things did not improve whatsoever the rest of the way. Lawrence was able to connect with WR Calvin Ridley for an 18-yard score late in the third quarter that somewhat salvaged what could've been a week-losing performance, but overall it was the third lowest output of 2023 for the former No. 1 overall pick. Headshot for Trevor Lawrence

According to ESPN's Adam Schefter, Jacksonville Jaguars quarterback Trevor Lawrence (head) is expected to play on Sunday versus Tampa Bay. The 24-year-old has gotten banged up in the last month, suffering an ankle injury in the Monday night overtime loss to the Bengals in Week 13. He continues to deal with the ankle issue. However, Lawrence was placed in concussion protocol after the Week 15 loss to Baltimore. But after it appeared Lawrence was a lock to sit in Week 16, he cleared concussion protocol on Friday and traveled with the team. Nevertheless, the Bucs defense has struggled against opposing quarterbacks this season, meaning Lawrence's outlook is promising. But he likely won't be 100% if he suits up, which isn't an ideal scenario. At the same time, Zay Jones (knee, hamstring) may also get ruled out, lessening Lawrence's fantasy potential. That said, a case can be made for the signal-caller to have a place in all fantasy lineups, although he remains a risky option.

Jacksonville Jaguars quarterback Trevor Lawrence cleared the NFL's concussion protocol on Friday and will travel with the team to Tampa Bay. Lawrence is still listed as questionable on the final injury report, so it is not yet known if he will start this Sunday's game, but this is still a significant development for his Week 16 outlook that was looking bleak just a day ago. If the young signal caller is able to go, he gets a choice matchup against the 31st ranked pass defense in the Buccaneers. Lawrence has been throwing the ball a ton lately, and teams are averaging over 35 attempts per game against this secondary which ranks in the top-five of the NFL. Couple this with how poor the Jags defense has looked of late and an on-fire Baker Mayfield, and you get a situation that will likely lead to a lot of points scored. Even with Zay Jones potentially sitting out and no Christian Kirk, Lawrence should still be able to find holes in this secondary and put up top-10 QB numbers.

Head coach Doug Pederson said earlier this week that Lawrence was "progressing well" in the league's concussion protocol, but it apparently hasn't been enough to get him onto the field yet this week. Lawrence still has another day to practice, but fantasy managers right now should be making plans to be without him in Week 16. It seems as though backup C.J. Beathard is going to make the start for the Jaguars this weekend in a must-win game. The Jags are also likely going to be without receiver Zay Jones (hamstring). The 24-year-old signal-caller will need to practice on Friday in some fashion to have a chance at being given the green light to play on Sunday. If C.J. As such, it makes the 24-year-old a pretty risky fantasy option this weekend, although we should have a better idea of whether Lawrence will play by this Saturday. Jacksonville Jaguars head coach Doug Pederson said after Week 15's rough 23-7 loss to the Baltimore Ravens that quarterback Trevor Lawrence (concussion) has entered the NFL's concussion protocol. It rubs salt into the wound and exacerbates an already frustrating night in Jacksonville. Lawrence's status suddenly becomes very much in limbo for a crucial Week 16 matchup with the crosstown Tampa Bay Buccaneers, as he now needs to pass each step of the protocol for a green light to suit up next Sunday. Lawrence was still able to close out Sunday night, completing 25-of-43 passes for 264 yards and one touchdown with four carries for 41 yards. Losing the 24-year-old star signal-caller for even one game, however, would be a massive setback for the 8-6 Jaguars, who need a win in the worst way after losing three straight games amid what's escalated into a heated AFC South race. C.J. Beathard would figure to get the controls under center against the Bucs if Lawrence is not cleared to play.

Jacksonville Jaguars quarterback Trevor Lawrence completed 25-of-43 passes for 264 yards and one touchdown, adding four rushes for 41 yards and two fumbles in a home SNF loss to Baltimore. It was a rough night for Lawrence who was pressured constantly, which led to the two lost fumbles. Most of his rushing production came on the last drive as well, with the Ravens clamping down on the young quarterback and the Jaguars entire offense almost all game. Lawrence was to finally break the scoreless night in the middle of the third quarter when Jamaal Agnew broke free down the left sideline for a 65 yard touchdown which helped give the young QB post a semi-respectable 14.66 fantasy points. Offense has not come easy to the Jaguars of late, losing three straight contests, but the Bucs poor secondary next week could be the remedy that this offense needs.

  • Trevor Lawrence Has Tempered Expectations Vs. Ravens

    Headshot for Trevor Lawrence

Jacksonville Jaguars quarterback Trevor Lawrence heads into a tough Sunday Night Football showdown with the Baltimore Ravens this weekend. The young QB played through a high-ankle sprain suffered late in the game against Cincy in Week 13 and threw for three touchdowns, albeit on three interceptions vs Cleveland last Sunday. With a full practice logged on Friday, Lawrence is a go for this brutal matchup at home against one of the best secondaries in the game. Matthew Stafford was able to toss three scores in Baltimore last week, but the Ravens have generally been stingy against opposing quarterbacks. With the Jaguars likely conceding quite a few points to Lamar Jackson, it's likely Lawrence will be forced to throw the ball at a clip similar to last game where he reached a season-high in attempts. Play Lawrence as a back-end QB1 in the first week of the fantasy playoffs.

  • Trevor Lawrence To Be Full-Go On Wednesday

    Headshot for Trevor Lawrence

Jacksonville Jaguars quarterback Trevor Lawrence (ankle) is expected to be a full participant in practice on Wednesday, according to head coach Doug Pederson. The former No. 1 overall pick suffered a high-ankle sprain in the team's Week 13 loss to the Cincinnati Bengals, but Lawrence was able to suit up in Week 14 against the Cleveland Browns. He had plenty of highs and lows in that contest, completing 28 of his 50 passing attempts for 257 yards, three touchdowns, and three interceptions. In Week 15, he draws a fierce matchup against the Baltimore Ravens, who have allowed the second-fewest fantasy points per game to signal-callers in 2023.

  • Trevor Lawrence Throws Three Picks In Surprise Start

    Headshot for Trevor Lawrence

Jacksonville Jaguars quarterback Trevor Lawrence completed 28-of-50 passes for 257 yards, three touchdowns and three interceptions in a 31-27 loss at Cleveland. Just six days after suffering a high-ankle sprain, Lawrence was surprisingly active for this game and hit a season-high in attempts. With the Browns shutting down the ground game, the former first-overall pick had to air it out more often than not and it led to several mistakes. Lawrence was able to salvage his fantasy day with two fourth-quarter touchdowns that helped him break the 17-point threshold for the fourth straight game and sixth time this season, but it was mostly a forgettable day for the young signal caller. It doesn't get any easier next week with the Ravens coming to town, but hopefully Lawrence will be healthier for that tough matchup.

  • Trevor Lawrence Officially Starting In Week 14

    Headshot for Trevor Lawrence

The Jacksonville Jaguars have announced that quarterback Trevor Lawrence (ankle), who suffered a high-ankle sprain only six days ago in Monday night's overtime loss to the Cincinnati Bengals, will start in Week 14 against the Cleveland Browns. Nobody could have seen this one coming after Lawrence could barely walk to the locker room on Monday night. His mobility will most certainly be limited outside of the pocket against a strong defense, but Lawrence's presence is good news for pass-catchers Calvin Ridley, Zay Jones and Evan Engram. Running back Travis Etienne Jr. (ribs) will also be active, so the Jags will only be missing receiver Christian Kirk (core) among their starting offensive skill players. Lawrence should be faded in DFS in this one on the road against the Browns defense.

  • Jaguars Planning For Trevor Lawrence To Start Sunday

    Headshot for Trevor Lawrence

The Jacksonville Jaguars are planning for quarterback Trevor Lawrence (ankle) to play versus the Cleveland Browns in Week 14, per ESPN's Adam Schefter. Listed as questionable, it looks like he'll draw another start just six days after suffering a high-ankle sprain. With that said, the Jaguars "need to work out the franchise quarterback in pregame warmups before making a final decision," according to Schefter, so while he's trending in the right direction, nothing is official. Given that a high-ankle sprain is a multi-week injury, one would imagine that Lawrence's mobility and re-injury risk will be impacted on Sunday. Between the injury factor and a matchup against Cleveland's solid defense, Lawrence is nothing more than a low-end QB1 in fantasy football.

    Headshot for C.J. Beathard

Despite exiting Monday night’s game severely hobbled, Trevor Lawrence is firmly in play to avoid missing a game. The Jaguars quarterback, who has never missed a game during his three-year NFL career, practiced in a limited capacity for the second time this week. Missing practice Wednesday, Lawrence moved well on his injured ankle Thursday, per […]

  • Trevor Lawrence Likely To Be Game-Time Decision

    Headshot for Trevor Lawrence

Jacksonville Jaguars head coach Doug Pederson told reporters on Friday that quarterback Trevor Lawrence's (ankle) Week 14 status will be determined by how practice goes on Friday and answered "probably so" when asked if he'll be a game-time decision on Sunday against the Cleveland Browns. On a short week, Lawrence is dealing with a high-ankle sprain after getting hurt in Monday's overtime loss to the Cincinnati Bengals. Lawrence was seen throwing at practice on Thursday and was listed as limited, but he didn't really move around at all on his ankle. It was a bit surprising that the Jags didn't rule Lawrence out earlier this week, but it's still unlikely that he'll be available to play this weekend after he could barely walk to the locker room on Monday. Backup C.J. Beathard is the smart bet to start against a tough Browns defense on the road.

  • Trevor Lawrence Not Ready Yet

    Headshot for Trevor Lawrence

Jacksonville Jaguars quarterback Trevor Lawrence (ankle) doesn't sound too close to being ready to suit up for the Week 14 matchup against the Cleveland Browns. The stud signal-caller reportedly has a lot to prove before being cleared to play this weekend. The organization wants to see Lawrence at something close to full capacity before letting him get back on the field. Otherwise, C.J. Beathard (shoulder) would be tasked with starting against the Browns this weekend. A banged up Lawrence wouldn't be a reliable starter in 12-team formats, so hopefully he'll get close to 100 percent before Sunday.

  • Trevor Lawrence Seen At Practice On Thursday

    Headshot for C.J. Beathard

Jacksonville Jaguars quarterback Trevor Lawrence (ankle) was seen at the team's practice on Thursday. After logging a DNP on Wednesday, the signal-caller was participating in some warm-ups and throwing exercises but sat out most drills. The injury came in Week 13's Monday night matchup against the Cincinnati Bengals, when one of his own linemen accidentally stepped on his ankle. Lawrence has not been ruled out for the Jaguars' Week 14 game against the Cleveland Browns, but it would be surprising if he played. Assuming Lawrence sits, C.J. Beathard would be next in line for the start, devaluing the projections for Calvin Ridley, Zay Jones, and Evan Engram.

  • Trevor Lawrence Won't Participate In Practice On Wednesday

    Headshot for Trevor Lawrence

Jacksonville Jaguars quarterback Trevor Lawrence (ankle) is not practicing on Wednesday after suffering a high-ankle sprain in the loss to the Cincinnati Bengals in Week 13. Lawrence's ankle was stepped on by one of his offensive linemen, leading to him missing the end of the overtime loss. The Jaguars have not ruled him out for the Week 14 contest against the Cleveland Browns yet, but there's a good chance it will happen. In that case, veteran backup C.J. Beathard would draw a start under center. Calvin Ridley, Evan Engram, and Zay Jones could see reduced fantasy value without Lawrence, even with Christian Kirk (core) expected to miss the rest of the regular season.

  • Trevor Lawrence Not Being Ruled Out For Week 14

    Headshot for Trevor Lawrence

Jacksonville Jaguars quarterback Trevor Lawrence (ankle) is going to rehab around the clock this week to give himself a chance to play through his right high-ankle sprain, according to sources. It's too early to know how his ankle will respond and whether he'll be available this Sunday against the Cleveland Browns, but the Jaguars aren't ruling him out for Week 14 yet. The 24-year-old is as tough as nails, but we still find it hard to believe that he won't have to miss any time as a result of the injury he suffered in Monday night's overtime loss to the Cincinnati Bengals. High-ankle sprains usually require at least a few weeks of rest before a player can think about a return. Lawrence avoided a season-ending injury, but fantasy managers should realistically expect him to miss some time.

  • Trevor Lawrence Dealing With High-Ankle Sprain

    Headshot for Trevor Lawrence

Jacksonville Jaguars head coach Doug Pederson said quarterback Trevor Lawrence (ankle) has a right high-ankle sprain. Everything is stable, though, and the team will see where he is in a couple of days. Lawrence is likely going to have to miss multiple weeks with the ankle injury he suffered in Monday night's overtime loss to the Cincinnati Bengals, but the good news is it's not a season-ending injury for the 24-year-old signal-caller. It looked much worse on Monday night, but tests on Tuesday only revealed an ankle sprain. For now, fantasy managers must keep Lawrence stashed and hope he can return if you make a deep run in the playoffs in your league. In the meantime, C.J. Beathard will run the Jaguars offense, which will mean a downgrade for all of the team's pass-catchers.

  • Trevor Lawrence Has Avoided Season-Ending Injury

    Headshot for Trevor Lawrence

Jacksonville Jaguars quarterback Trevor Lawrence (ankle) appears to have avoided a season-ending injury after he was hurt in the second half of Monday night's overtime loss to the Cincinnati Bengals. Even if he misses time with the injury, he will be back in 2023. Lawrence looked to be in a lot of pain but tried his best to walk off and into the locker room. Later in the locker room, he tried to stand on his injured ankle before leaving in a walking boot and crutches. We'll have a better idea of the 24-year-old franchise QB's timetable for a return after he undergoes more tests on Tuesday. Fantasy managers are going to be without him for a bit, but he should remain stashed in case he has a chance to return in a couple of weeks. In the meantime, C.J. Beathard will run Jacksonville's offense, starting in Week 14 in a tough matchup against the Cleveland Browns.

  • Trevor Lawrence Has Sprained Ankle, Heading For MRI Tuesday

    Headshot for Trevor Lawrence

Jacksonville Jaguars quarterback Trevor Lawrence's (ankle) initial diagnosis has revealed an ankle sprain, and he will have an MRI on Tuesday. Offensive lineman Walker Little (hamstring) inadvertently stepped on the back of Lawrence's ankle late in Monday's game against the Cincinnati Bengals, causing the 24-year-old to get bent backward and emerge from a sack in visible pain. After being unable to walk off under his own power, a frustrated Lawrence slammed his helmet to the turf and was helped to the locker room. The star signal-caller's night ended after completing 22-of-29 passes for 258 yards and two touchdowns plus his third straight outing with a rushing score. Lawrence's setback could shake up the race for the AFC South crown down the stretch, depending on the severity of the sprain. C.J. Beathard would figure draw the Week 14 start in a nightmarish road spot against the Cleveland Browns if Lawrence needs to miss additional time.
