  • Trevor Lawrence To Be Limited In Rookie Minicamp

Jacksonville Jaguars quarterback Trevor Lawrence (shoulder), the No. 1 overall pick in this year's draft, will be limited in what he's asked to do in this weekend's rookie minicamp. He is doing well in his rehab from surgery on his non-throwing shoulder, so the Jaguars are just being extra cautious with their franchise signal-caller. It doesn't make any sense for the team to push their prized asset this early in the offseason, even if his surgery was all the way back in February. Lawrence should be 100 percent ready to go by the time training camp begins this summer. He will be the team's starter in Week 1 and has the athleticism, footwork and accuracy to be successful in his rookie season. However, it remains to be seen if Jacksonville's offense will be productive enough around him to support his fantasy value in single-year leagues in 2021.

  • Jaguars Draft Trevor Lawrence First Overall

With the No. 1 overall pick in the 2021 NFL Draft, the Jacksonville Jaguars have selected Clemson quarterback Trevor Lawrence. The worst kept secret in the NFL, we've known for over a year that whichever team landed the first pick would be taking Lawrence. Last year, he completed 69.2 percent of his passes with 24 touchdowns and five interceptions in 10 games, plus added 203 rushing yards and eight rushing touchdowns. The multi-dimensional talent will start from day one in Jacksonville and while there are bound to be growing pains, he'll have some strong receivers around him and can be a high-end QB2 as a rookie, with upside to be a QB1 option for years to come.

  • Trevor Lawrence Compared To Andrew Luck

Clemson quarterback Trevor Lawrence, who is expected to be taken first overall by the Jacksonville Jaguars in this year's draft, grew up idolizing Hall of Fame quarterback Peyton Manning, which is why he wore the No. 16 in college. But NFL scouts continue to compare Lawrence to former Indianapolis Colts QB Andrew Luck. Several scouts acknowledge that Lawrence is the best QB prospect since Luck, who was considered a modern pre-draft gold standard at the position. Lawrence doesn't quite measure up to Luck, but he's the closest to Luck's neighborhood of any QB drafted since. Offseason surgery on his non-throwing shoulder shouldn't affect his first NFL training camp. He's expected to be Jacksonville's Week 1 starter, and his experience with the run-pass option should mesh well with new head coach Urban Meyer.

  • Trevor Lawrence Impressing Jaguars On Zoom Calls

The Jacksonville Jaguars have spent hours zooming with Clemson quarterback Trevor Lawrence, and the presumed No. 1 overall pick in this year's NFL draft has impressed the team with his retention of their offensive scheme. Similar to what the Cincinnati Bengals did with quarterback Joe Burrow last year, the Jaguars are making the most of their time with the likely first overall pick. Lawrence had surgery on his non-throwing shoulder to fix a torn labrum, but everything has gone smoothly in his rehab and it's not expected to keep him out at all to begin his rookie season. The 21-year-old has both the talent and football IQ to excel at the next level, and he's expected to be Jacksonville's starter entering Week 1. He'll be a no-brainer first overall pick in dynasty/keeper formats, but Lawrence won't necessarily be a great season-long play in single-season fantasy formats in 2021.

  • Trevor Lawrence Turning The Corner Health-Wise

Clemson quarterback Trevor Lawrence (shoulder), who had shoulder surgery to fix a torn labrum in his non-throwing arm on Feb. 16, has been throwing over the course of the last two weeks. He is not 100 percent healthy, but his workouts are starting to look and feel normal and he's turned the corner health-wise. Lawrence will not be in Indianapolis for medical exams this weekend because he's getting married to his long-time girlfriend Marissa Mowry. His rehab is going very well and he should be ready for training camp heading into his rookie season this summer. The Jacksonville Jaguars, who own the first overall pick, are expected to select Lawrence, and he should be their starter immediately in 2021.

  • Cam Robinson Accepts Franchise Tag

Jacksonville Jaguars left tackle Cam Robinson officially accepted his franchise tag on Thursday, according to a source. The tag amount for offensive linemen this year is just under $14 million, and that will be guaranteed for Robinson in 2021. The second-round pick of the team in 2017 has appeared in 47 games in his four seasons in the league. It's likely that Robinson will be protecting a rookie next season in Clemson quarterback Trevor Lawrence, who is expected to be taken by Jacksonville with the No. 1 overall pick in the upcoming draft. The Jaguars and Robinson can still negotiate a long-term contract extension up until the deadline in July.

  • Trevor Lawrence Ahead Of Schedule In Rehab

Former Clemson quarterback Trevor Lawrence (shoulder) has been doing very well and is ahead of schedule in his rehab about a month after having surgery on his non-throwing (left) shoulder. The surgery specifically was done to repair a torn labrum, and the rehab is expected to last around five to six months. Lawrence remains in Southern California and continues to rehab with a trainer. Sources say that the expected No. 1 overall pick should be throwing in around four to five weeks. The Jacksonville Jaguars have already done some Zoom calls with Lawrence and are expected to draft him as their franchise QB next month. Lawrence can make all the throws and is the complete package, so he could have some QB1 appeal in his rookie season if all goes well. He'll obviously be the top pick as well in dynasty/keeper leagues.

  • Trevor Lawrence's Rehab Going Well

Former Clemson quarterback Trevor Lawrence, who is projected as the No. 1 overall pick in this year's NFL draft, said his rehab from left non-throwing shoulder surgery last month is going better than expected. He underwent surgery on Feb. 16 to fix damage to the labrum of his left shoulder. Lawrence remains in California, rehabbing his shoulder at MOTUS Specialists Physical Therapy in Orange County. The focus of his rehab right now is working within pain-free ranges of motion and strengthening the scapular (shoulder blade) muscles along with the core. Lawrence is expected to remain in a brace for around two more weeks, and he could begin throwing in six to eight weeks if the rehab goes as planned. Expected to land with Jacksonville at No. 1 overall, Lawrence could be fantasy relevant in single-year leagues right away as a QB2 with upside.
