Trevor Lawrence A Risky QB Play Against Atlanta

Jacksonville Jaguars quarterback Trevor Lawrence heads into a tricky Week 4 matchup against the Falcons at Wembley Stadium this Sunday. The game is part of the NFL's London series, which will feature three different October showdowns. Lawrence has looked shaky to start the year with back-to-back sub-15 point performances. The Atlanta defense has been fairly middle-of-the-pack, allowing at least 20 points in each game this year. Teams have had more success attacking through the air, which should allow Lawrence to finally get things going across the pond. The Jacksonville offense is in dire need of spirited performance from their young stars. While Lawrence has done nothing to instill any sort of confidence in fantasy managers this year, this is his best shot for breaking through with Buffalo and New Orleans looming over the next few weeks.

Jaguars Didn't Use New Play-Caller In Week 3

Jacksonville Jaguars head coach Doug Pederson said after the disappointing Week 3 loss to the Houston Texans that reports of him taking over as the play-caller were "false." Through three weeks, the Jaguars have scored more than two touchdowns in just one game, including a six-quarter stretch between Weeks 2 and 3 where they didn't score a single touchdown. The good news is Jacksonville found success in the second half against Houston after failing to score a single point in the first half due to two miscues on the field-goal unit and going 1-for-6 on third downs. As a result of the offense's woes in the first three weeks, quarterback Trevor Lawrence ranks as the QB20 in fantasy heading into a Week 4 meeting with the Atlanta Falcons in London this Sunday.

Trevor Lawrence Struggles Once Again in Loss Against Houston

Jacksonville Jaguars quarterback Trevor Lawrence was 27-of-40 for 279 yards, one touchdown, and one interception in a blowout loss to the Houston Texans on Sunday. He also rushed three times for twelve yards. It was another huge letdown from the Jags offense, this time against an inferior opponent. The back-to-back near-duds are certainly concerning, as Lawrence has now underperformed his ranking each of the first three weeks. Jacksonville's first five drives ended in a missed field goal, a punt, a blocked field goal, a punt, and a fumble. Lawrence has now failed to eclipse even 18 fantasy points this year, which is a major red flag considering he was taken as the QB8 in 2023 drafts. The former first-overall pick is now off the QB1 radar until he proves otherwise. It doesn't get any easier next week against a fairly strong Atlanta secondary.

Trevor Lawrence Looks to Bounce Back Against Lowly Texans

Jacksonville Jaguars quarterback Trevor Lawrence draws an easier matchup this week, taking on the Houston Texans at home. The third-year struggled mightily last Sunday against Kansas City in a performance that he described as "kind of embarrassing." Lawrence put up 216 yards and zero scores, leading to a 9.24 fantasy point output for the day. The Texans are up next, and while they are usually a great matchup for any fantasy asset, DeMeco Ryans' defense has held Lamar Jackson and the Colts QB duo to an average of 198 passing yards through two weeks. Still, with the number of weapons that Lawrence has at his disposal and a 26.5 team-implied total, expect a solid bounce back for the former Clemson star. He's a back-end QB1 for Week 3.

Trevor Lawrence - Week 2 Outlook for Fantasy Football

Jacksonville Jaguars quarterback Trevor Lawrence looks to move to 2-0 this coming week when he takes on the reigning Super Bowl champion Kansas City Chiefs. This is a rematch from last year's divisional round game playoff which KC won 27-20. Lawrence had a poor showing in that one, with just 217 passing yards, one touchdown, and one interception. He should produce much better results in this game at home with a better supporting cast. The third-year QB looked poised last week, leading two fourth-quarter touchdown drives to claim the victory. Quarterback no. 1 on the week isn't out of the question for the star signal caller. In a game with the highest over/under on the day, Lawrence should be started in all formats with confidence.

Jaguars To Play Starters In Preseason Finale

Jacksonville Jaguars head coach Doug Pederson plans to play the team's starters for the entire first half in this week's preseason finale against the Miami Dolphins on Saturday. "So, they'll get that opportunity this week and I'll monitor it, I'll be on top of that too. So, if I need to pull them out, I'll pull them out but, right now, it's still full steam ahead," Pederson said. The Jaguars have had some bad luck with injuries so far this preseason, but Pederson thinks it's more important to get his starters a tune-up before the start of the regular season in Week 1. Quarterback Trevor Lawrence and the rest of the offense have high expectations in 2023 after they made the postseason and won their first game in an incredible comeback over the Los Angeles Chargers.

The Jaguars' first training camp practice was Wednesday and Lawrence had nothing but great things to say about the team around him.

For the second time in franchise history, the Jaguars overcame a 2-6 start to make the playoffs. The last time the team did so (1996), a run of playoff appearances followed. This Jaguars nucleus has similar ingredients in place compared to the Mark Brunell-fronted teams of the late ’90s. At the center is Trevor Lawrence, […]
