K.J. Osborn Secures Three Catches In Monday Night Loss

Minnesota Vikings wide receiver K.J. Osborn secured three of his four targets for 34 yards in Monday night's upsetting 12-10 loss to the division-rival Chicago Bears to close out Week 12 action. This was Osborn's last chance for an elevated role in Minnesota's passing attack, but the Vikings offense struggled mightily all night against an inspired Bears defense. It didn't help that quarterback Joshua Dobbs was not on his game and had four interceptions. Minnesota will now go on their bye and All-Pro wideout Justin Jefferson (hamstring) will return from Injured Reserve in Week 14 to face the Las Vegas Raiders. It means that Osborn will be pushed further down the receiving pecking order. He can be dropped in 12-team redraft leagues at this point.

K.J. Osborn A Risky Play In Week 12

Minnesota Vikings wide receiver K.J. Osborn could once again be in for an important role in the Minnesota passing game as Justin Jefferson (hamstring) is listed as questionable for Monday night. Osborn struggled in his first game back from a concussion in Week 11, as he caught just one pass on two targets for seven yards. The speedy wideout figures to be third in line for targets even if Jefferson is inactive, as rookie wideout Jordan Addison and tight end T.J. Hockenson figure to be the focal point of the Minnesota passing attack. Not to mention, Osborn hasn't had much of a chance to build a rapport with his new quarterback Joshua Dobbs, so fantasy managers should treat the 26-year-old as nothing more than a dart throw versus the Bears in Week 12.

K.J. Osborn Catches Just One Pass In Return From Concussion

Minnesota Vikings wide receiver K.J. Osborn suffered a concussion in Week 9 and was forced to miss the Week 10 win over the New Orleans Saints, but he returned on Sunday night in Week 11 to face the Denver Broncos, only to catch one of his two targets for a seven-yard gain. It was the 26-year-old's worst performance of the season, and it's not like he wasn't on the field at all, as he played 71 of a possible 75 offensive snaps across from rookie wideout Jordan Addison. All-Pro pass-catcher Justin Jefferson (hamstring) could come off Injured Reserve to play in Week 12 against the Chicago Bears on Monday night on Nov. 27, which would push Osborn even further down the receiver pecking order in Minnesota.

K.J. Osborn Ready To Go For Week 11

Minnesota Vikings wide receiver K.J. Osborn has cleared concussion protocol and will play in Week 11 against the Denver Broncos. The 26-year-old wide receiver has been removed from the team's final injury report after missing Week 10 with a concussion and is ready to go for Sunday. Star receiver Justin Jefferson (hamstring) is listed as questionable for Sunday so it would put a significant damper on Osborn's fantasy prospects if he returns. If Jefferson ends up being inactive then Osborn is in play as a FLEX option in Week 11.

K.J. Osborn Puts In Another Full Practice

Minnesota Vikings wide receiver K.J. Osborn (concussion) practiced in full for the second straight day on Thursday. Osborn had to be carted off the field in Week 9 with his concussion and missed the Week 10 win over the New Orleans Saints. However, with two full practices under his belt already this week, Osborn is now expected to make his return this Sunday night against the Denver Broncos on the road. The 26-year-old still needs to be officially cleared from the league's concussion protocol before being allowed to play in Week 11. Even if Osborn is active against Denver, he'll be hard to trust as a WR4/flex in fantasy lineups if Justin Jefferson (hamstring) makes his return from Injured Reserve, as is expected.

K.J. Osborn Expected To Be Cleared For Week 11

Minnesota Vikings wide receiver K.J. Osborn (concussion) practiced in full on Wednesday and is expected to be cleared to play in Week 11's Sunday night affair in Denver against the Broncos. "A big piece of our offense," head coach Kevin O'Connell said. Osborn had to be carted off the field in Week 9 after suffering a concussion and was unable to play in the Week 10 victory over the New Orleans Saints. The 26-year-old saw an expanded role with Justin Jefferson (hamstring) on Injured Reserve, but he won't be as attractive as a deep-league streamer this Sunday against Denver if Jefferson makes his return after a five-game absence.

K.J. Osborn Ruled Out Against Saints

Minnesota Vikings wide receiver K.J. Osborn (head) has officially been ruled out for the Week 10 contest against the New Orleans Saints, as expected. Osborn cleared the league's concussion protocol, but he will be held out for this one after suffering a scary head injury on a helmet-to-helmet hit in the Week 9 win over the Atlanta Falcons. The Vikings are still without All-Pro wideout Justin Jefferson (hamstring) for one more game, so rookie first-rounder Jordan Addison and Brandon Powell will serve as Minnesota's top two pass-catchers in quarterback Joshua Dobbs' first start for the Vikings. Expect tight end T.J. Hockenson to also be heavily targeted in the passing game. Osborn should have a good shot to return in Week 11 against the Denver Broncos.

K.J. Osborn Not Expected To Play In Week 10

Minnesota Vikings wide receiver K.J. Osborn (head) is not expected to play in Week 10 versus the New Orleans Saints, according to ESPN's Ed Werder. While Osborn cleared concussion protocol, the team listed him as questionable amidst lingering concerns following his severe collision one week earlier. Now, Werder reports that the receiver will be inactive, calling it a "coach-player decision." With Osborn out and T.J. Hockenson (rib) playing limited snaps, Jordan Addison could have a huge game. Brandon Powell also puts himself on the fantasy radar in deep leagues.

K.J. Osborn Clears Concussion Protocol, Still Questionable For Week 10

Minnesota Vikings wide receiver K.J. Osborn (head) cleared concussion protocol but remains questionable ahead of Sunday's game versus the New Orleans Saints. According to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport, the Vikings want to be cautious given he took a "significant hit" last week. The Vikings will treat Osborn like any player listed as questionable by running him through a series of pre-game tests. At this point, it sounds like he is a true game-time decision. If active, Osborn would warrant consideration as a low-end FLEX play.

Justin Jefferson, K.J. Osborn Questionable For Week 10

Minnesota Vikings wide receivers Justin Jefferson (hamstring) and K.J. Osborn (concussion) are both listed as questionable to play in Week 10 against the New Orleans Saints. The Vikings opened up Jefferson's 21-day window to return from Injured Reserve this week, but head coach Kevin O'Connell then pumped the brakes on the 24-year-old All-Pro wideout returning this weekend. Fantasy managers shouldn't expect Jefferson to return this weekend, but he'll have a great chance to be back in Week 11. Osborn returned to a limited practice this week after a scary head injury that he suffered in the Week 9 win over the Atlanta Falcons. He has yet to clear the league's concussion protocol, though, putting him on the wrong side of questionable for Week 10. Rookie Jordan Addison and Brandon Powell will have higher fantasy ceiling if both Jefferson and Osborn are out, as is expected.

K.J. Osborn Back At Practice Thursday

Minnesota Vikings wide receiver K.J. Osborn (concussion) was a limited participant at practice on Thursday. It doesn't sound like Osborn has yet passed each step of the concussion protocol after taking a helmet-to-helmet hit in Week 9 against the Atlanta Falcons, but a limited session casts some level of optimism on his Week 10 status versus the New Orleans Saints. The 26-year-old slot man brought in both of his targets for 17 yards before going down last Sunday, and he could maintain some low-end WR3/flex appeal against New Orleans with Justin Jefferson's (hamstring) return in doubt. Osborn will need to stay active on Friday, though, if he wants a good chance of suiting up. Brandon Powell would likely serve as quarterback Joshua Dobbs' No. 2 wideout if Osborn cannot receive the green light.

K.J. Osborn Still In Concussion Protocol

Minnesota Vikings wide receiver K.J. Osborn (concussion) was diagnosed with a concussion after a scary injury in the Week 9 win over the Atlanta Falcons. It appears he's still in the league's concussion protocol, too, as he didn't practice with the team on Wednesday. It puts his status firmly in doubt for Week 10 against the New Orleans Saints. And with Justin Jefferson (hamstring) unlikely to return from Injured Reserve just yet, it means that Brandon Powell could be asked to serve as the No. 2 receiver behind rookie Jordan Addison against a tough defense. Jalen Nailor (hamstring) is practicing in full and could be activated from Injured Reserve to give Minnesota more pass-catching depth with Osborn injured. Given how bad Osborn's injury looked this past Sunday, we'd be surprised if he's out there in Week 10.

K.J. Osborn Suffers Concussion In Win Over Atlanta

Minnesota Vikings wide receiver K.J. Osborn (head) suffered a concussion during Sunday's narrow win over the Atlanta Falcons. The 26-year-old, who ranks fourth on the team in catches and receiving yards, took a nasty shot in the first half. He was down for a few minutes before eventually being taken off the field on a cart. Although Minnesota earned a victory, it's certainly not an ideal scenario, considering the team was already without Kirk Cousins (Achilles) and Justin Jefferson (hamstring). Even worse, there is fear Cam Akers (Achilles) is done for the year. At any rate, if Osborne can't play in Week 10 against the Saints, it should mean more targets for T.J. Hockenson and Jordan Addison. At the same time, Brandon Powell would draw interest from fantasy managers looking for an option off waivers.

K.J. Osborn Carted Off Field, Ruled Out

Minnesota Vikings wide receiver K.J. Osborn (concussion) was carted off the field after suffering a serious injury during the first half of Week 9 versus the Atlanta Falcons. Osborn was on the receiving end of multiple concurrent hits from Atlanta defenders and was briefly motionless on the ground. Players from both teams were quite emotional as trainers attended to the 26-year-old. Fortunately, after some time, he was able to stand up and walk to the medical cart, which transported him to the locker room where he was officially declared "out" for the remainder of the game. He finishes Sunday's contest with two catches and 17 yards. Brandon Powell will see more opportunities as the Vikings' No. 2 receiver behind Jordan Addison.

K.J. Osborn A Desperation Play In Week 9

Minnesota Vikings wide receiver K.J. Osborn will look to build on his Week 8 performance after totaling 99 yards on eight catches, which was his best performance of the season. It may be a challenge for the 26-year-old to produce these types of numbers once again in Week 9, as he was limited with a chest injury at practice this week, and he will be without quarterback Kirk Cousins (Achilles) who was lost for the season in the team's win over the Packers last week. Fantasy managers should treat Osborn as nothing more than a dart throw this week, even with his increased role in the offense without Justin Jefferson (hamstring) in the lineup once again.

K.J. Osborn, Brandon Powell Limited Again Thursday

Minnesota Vikings wide receivers K.J. Osborn (chest) and Brandon Powell (shoulder) were both limited in practice for the second straight day on Thursday. Osborn and Powell could both be facing questionable tags for the Week 9 game against the Atlanta Falcons. On top of it, the Vikings just lost quarterback Kirk Cousins for the year with a torn Achilles. Minnesota will be going with some combination of rookie Jaren Hall and the recently acquired Joshua Dobbs for the rest of the year. Osborn and Powell should continue to see elevated roles on offense until Justin Jefferson (hamstring) returns from Injured Reserve, but the QB downgrade is significant. It will make Osborn an even riskier boom/bust WR4/5 in fantasy despite coming off an eight-catch, 99-yard performance in the Week 8 win over the Green Bay Packers.

K.J. Osborn, Brandon Powell Limited Wednesday

Minnesota Vikings wide receivers K.J. Osborn (chest) and Brandon Powell (shoulder) were both listed as limited in the team's walkthrough practice on Wednesday. Both Osborn and Powell should be able to play in Week 9 against the Atlanta Falcons, but their status is worth watching the rest of the week. Osborn and Powell have both seen their roles increase with Justin Jefferson (hamstring) on Injured Reserve. Osborn has 17 receptions for 194 yards on 21 targets in the last three games, while Powell has caught eight of his 12 targets for 94 yards and no touchdowns. Rookie Jordan Addison has done most of the heavy lifting in the aerial attack for Minnesota without Jefferson, alongside tight end T.J. Hockenson. Osborn will become an even more shaky WR4/flex option in fantasy lineups now that Kirk Cousins is done for the year with a torn Achilles, though.

K.J. Osborn Catches Eight Passes In Win

Minnesota Vikings wide receiver K.J. Osborn caught eight of 10 targets for 99 yards in the team's 24-10 win over the Packers on Sunday. Osborn paced the team in targets and receiving yards in this one, but was unable to find the end zone. Despite Osborn leading the team in targets this week, fantasy managers should not expect this to continue moving forward. T.J. Hockenson and Jordan Addison figure to continue leading the Minnesota passing game in wide receiver Justin Jefferson's absence. Moving forward, Osborn does not look like a reliable weekly fantasy option, especially without quarterback Kirk Cousins (Achilles) under center for the Vikings.

K.J. Osborn Fails To Impress Against 49ers

Minnesota Vikings wide receiver K.J. Osborn didn't do much that stood out in Week 7's 22-17 triumph over the San Francisco 49ers, catching five out of six targets for 47 yards. Osborn nearly made a ridiculous catch that would've extended a fourth-quarter drive, but there wasn't much else to write home about on Monday besides an 18-yard gain to start an eventual field-goal drive during the third period. That theme has been par for the course during the 26-year-old's campaign, which has yielded serviceable numbers at best. Osborn now has at least four receptions and 47 yards in each of his past three games, settling in as a low-end WR3 in PPR leagues with Justin Jefferson shelved for at least two more weeks. With a likely expiration date on his streaming value and Jordan Addison breaking out on Monday, Osborn remains just a borderline fantasy starter in Week 8 against the Green Bay Packers.

K.J. Osborn A Risky Play In Week 7

Minnesota Vikings wide receiver K.J. Osborn will look to get rolling in Week 7, as the speedy wideout figures to play an important role in the offense once again with Justin Jefferson sidelined for the second straight game. In the first contest without Jefferson, Osborn failed to capitalize on a great opportunity as he amassed just 48 receiving yards on four receptions. He hasn't eclipsed 50 receiving yards in a game so far this season, so fantasy managers shouldn't be relying on the 26-year-old to produce any eye-popping numbers in this matchup despite the increased role in the offense. Osborn will likely need to find the end zone, which he has done on two occasions this season, to produce any sort of notable fantasy production. He is at best a low-end FLEX option in Week 7.

K.J. Osborn A Potential Flex Option In Week 6

Minnesota Vikings wide receiver K.J. Osborn will look to capitalize on an increased opportunity in Week 6 as he will be counted on in the absence of the team's No. 1 wide receiver Justin Jefferson. Osborn saw nine targets in the team's Week 5 loss to the Chiefs, while also having two games where he drew six targets in Week 1 and 2. In the Viking's pass-heavy offense against a porous Bears pass defense, Osborn has appeal as a FLEX option in conventional-sized formats, especially considering he has a chance to be relied upon as the team's WR1, even with Jordan Addison in the mix.

K.J. Osborn Puts Up Mixed Results In Week 2

Minnesota Vikings wide receiver K.J. Osborn brought in 3-of-6 targets for 34 yards and a touchdown in Thursday's 34-28 loss to the Philadelphia Eagles. The 26-year-old got free in the flat for a nice 18-yard gain in the second quarter to push Minnesota over midfield. Osborn later committed a costly forth-quarter drop, but atoned for it by coming wide open for a 10-yard score later in that series to close the gap, making it a one-score game. It's worth noting he started the next drive with another drop, though. Osborn out-snapped rising rookie Jordan Addison 56-40, but the 2023 first-rounder is clearly threatening for more action after scoring another touchdown in this one. Despite the decent line, Osborn is an uninspiring Week 3 FLEX option when Minnesota takes on the visiting Los Angeles Chargers.

K.J. Osborn Draws Six Targets In Week 1 Loss

Minnesota Vikings wide receiver K.J. Osborn caught 3-of-6 targets for 31 yards in Sunday's 20-17 loss to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. The 26-year-old had a ball ripped away right near the goal line by Christian Izien to foil a potential Vikings scoring drive to close the first half. Despite being out-produced by 2023 first-rounder Jordan Addison, who hauled in four balls for 61 yards and a score in his debut, Osborn out-snapped him by 22 plays. Osborn is going to have to provide better results if he doesn't want the rookie eating into his playing time going forward. The former fifth-round pick will not be a recommended WR4, arguably as Minnesota's No. 4 target, in Week 2 against the Philadelphia Eagles, even in a game with plenty of shootout potential.
