  • Gabe Davis Paces Bills With 92 Yards In Sunday's Win

    Headshot for Gabriel Davis

Buffalo Bills wide receiver Gabe Davis hauled in 6-of-7 targets for 92 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's 38-10 victory versus the Las Vegas Raiders. The 24-year-old stepped up to lead Buffalo in receiving in their home opener after head coach Sean McDermott called out the lack of a No. 2 wideout in Week 1's loss. Davis' TD reception came on a tough catch in traffic on fourth-and-goal in the third quarter to get the rout fully underway. The deep threat put a bow on his productive Week 2 via a 40-yard gain with the game well in hand during the fourth period. Davis' every-down role in a high-powered Bills offense renders him hard to displace from the weekly WR3 fold as long as fantasy managers can swallow some occasional flops. He should be treated as such in Week 3's road encounter with the Washington Commanders, albeit a volatile one.

  • Gabe Davis - Week 2 Outlook for Fantasy Football

    Headshot for Gabriel Davis

Buffalo Bills wide receiver Gabe Davis logged a quiet two-catch, 32-yard line in a daunting Week 1 matchup against the New York Jets. After failing to find much separation in that rigid draw, the 24-year-old should find himself less restrained in a much more forgiving setting versus the unimposing Las Vegas Raiders secondary in Week 2's home opener. Bills head coach Sean McDermott subtlety referenced Davis on Tuesday in saying "we probably didn't get it as much as we would have liked to yesterday" as it pertained to a No. 2 WR option in Monday's season opener. It could lend credence to something of a squeaky wheel narrative for Davis, or perhaps open the door for another Bills wideout to step up alongside Stefon Diggs. Davis remains his usual boom-or-bust WR3 self versus a Raiders team, traveling across the country, that may not force quarterback Josh Allen to push the envelope if Buffalo gets out to a lead.

  • Gabe Davis Held In Check In Week 1 Loss

    Headshot for Gabriel Davis

Buffalo Bills wide receiver Gabe Davis caught 2-of-4 targets for 32 yards in Monday's 22-16 defeat to the New York Jets. The 24-year-old hauled in a 26-yard pass to push Buffalo further into Jets territory during the second quarter, but there was precious little production otherwise for Davis against Sauce Gardner and company. Davis was also the intended receiver on Josh Allen's third and final interception of his forgettable evening. The fourth-year wideout could be WR3/FLEX usable when he sets his sights on getting behind a far less intimidating Las Vegas Raiders secondary on home soil in Week 2.

  • Gabe Davis In Shy-Away Spot On Monday

    Headshot for Gabriel Davis

Buffalo Bills wide receiver Gabe Davis tries to start 2023 against the New York Jets the same way he opened 2022. The 24-year-old scored the first touchdown of '22 in last year's season opener. While Davis placed in third in yards per reception (17.4), he failed to return consistent weekly value. Now in his fourth year, Davis represents one of fantasy's top post-hype sleeper candidates as an every-down player in a high-octane Bills attack. Week 1's draw against New York's dynamic cornerback duo of Sauce Gardner and D.J. Reed is as tough as it comes, however, rendering Davis' chances of booming far less likely than usual. Davis also mainly plays on the same side of the field as Gardner does. Davis checks in as his usual low-floor/high-ceiling FLEX self on Monday. Season-long fantasy managers in shallow head-to-head PPR formats should be able to find a more reliable WR3 for the opening week.

  • Gabe Davis Tallies Two Catches In Preseason Action

    Headshot for Gabriel Davis

Buffalo Bills wide receiver Gabe Davis hauled in both of his targets for 29 yards in Saturday's 27-15 preseason loss to the Pittsburgh Steelers. The 24-year-old could have recorded a bigger day, but a 35-yard reception was wiped off the board by a holding penalty. Davis' boom-or-bust tendencies have rendered him a polarizing figure in fantasy circles, but his every-down role and ceiling in Buffalo's high-powered, pass-centric offense is undeniable. But that doesn't mean he deserves to be drafted as anything greater than a volatile WR3 in season-long leagues. Labeled a popular 2023 post-hype sleeper, Davis doesn't require as much of a leap of faith in drafts as he did last year with a far more affordable cost this time around.

  • Gabe Davis Ready To Bounce Back

    Headshot for Gabriel Davis

Buffalo Bills wide receiver Gabe Davis dealt with a nagging ankle injury for much of last year, and he admitted on Thursday that the injury had an effect on his third NFL season. Despite being a disappointment, he increased his numbers in every category from 2021, catching 48 passes for 830 yards and seven touchdowns. "I feel great now," Davis said. "Ankle's 100%, body feels great. So, everything's on the up and up now." The 24-year-old is entering a contract year and is looking to bounce back in a big way. With little competition for targets outside of All-Pro Stefon Diggs at the receiver position, Davis could be a nice surprise at a low cost of a WR4 in fantasy drafts this fall.
