Brandon Aiyuk Finds End Zone In Fourth-Straight Game

San Francisco 49ers wide receiver Brandon Aiyuk was targeted a team-high seven times on Sunday in a massive 43-19 victory over the Eagles in Philadelphia on Sunday. He finished the day with five receptions for 46 yards and a touchdown. The second-quarter, two-yard touchdown came on a nice diving catch on a crossing route in the back of the endzone. Aiyuk has now caught exactly one touchdown in each of San Francisco's last four games. Fantasy managers could be forgiven, though, for wanting a bit more fantasy production on Sunday given the final score. Aiyuk and the 49ers host a beatable Seattle Seahawks pass defense in Week 14 and fantasy gamers will hope it's Aiyuk's turn for a monster performance in this too-many-mouths-to-feed offense.

Brandon Aiyuk A Fringe WR1 At Eagles

San Francisco 49ers wide receiver Brandon Aiyuk has been holding his own in fantasy over the past few weeks despite limited volume. The 49ers' WR1 has averaged 16.4 half-PPR points over the past three games despite averaging only 4.3 targets and 3.3 receptions in that span. Last week in Seattle, Aiyuk finished with two catches on four targets for 50 yards but applied some touchdown deodorant midway through the fourth quarter. He enters Sunday's marquee matchup at the Philadelphia Eagles with a three-game touchdown streak and ranking second in the NFL in yards per reception at 19.6. The Eagles have allowed a whopping 30 fantasy points per game to wide receivers which is the most generous in the NFL. There's always a chance that such low volume falls flat, but Aiyuk should be slotted into fantasy lineups as a back-end WR1 with upside in what could be a Week 13 shootout.

Brandon Aiyuk Catches Touchdown On Thanksgiving

San Francisco 49ers wide receiver Brandon Aiyuk salvaged his fantasy night with a late touchdown in a 31-13 victory over the Seahawks in Seattle. Aiyuk's 28-yard, deep in-route scoring strike was part of an otherwise quiet performance of two catches on four targets for 50 yards receiving. Midway through the first half, broadcaster Cris Collinsworth observed that the 49ers' offense was doing "whatever they want". What the 49ers wanted apparently, was to feed Deebo Samuel early. Like everyone in this offense besides Christian McCaffrey, Aiyuk will continue to have games where the targets go elsewhere. It will be Aiyuk's efficiency down the field and big-play potential that keep him in the WR1 conversation next Sunday at the Eagles, who have allowed the fifth-most passing yards per game.

Brandon Aiyuk On WR1/WR2 Border In Seattle

San Francisco 49ers wide receiver Brandon Aiyuk will go to Seattle for a Week 12 Thanksgiving night matchup with the Seahawks. Last week versus Tampa Bay, the 25-year-old exploded for 156 yards, catching five of six targets, including a 76-yard touchdown. It was his second consecutive game with a TD. Aiyuk doesn't tend to get as many targets as other teams' top producers but has made up for it with 19.3 yards per reception, good for second in the NFL to Houston's Noah Brown, who only has 21 receptions on the year to Aiyuk's 43. Seattle's pass defense has been precisely mediocre in 2023, ranking 16th in the league in standard points allowed to fantasy wide receivers. Aiyuk will look to stay on a roll as a back-end WR1 on Thanksgiving night.

49ers Likely To Prioritize Extension For WR Brandon Aiyuk Over DE Chase Young?

The 49ers made one of the largest additions at the 2023 trade deadline by acquiring Chase Young from the Commanders. Given his status as a pending free agent, though, the possibility remains Young ends up being a half-year rental as the team turns to other players in need of a new deal in the offseason. One of […]

San Francisco 49ers wide receiver Brandon Aiyuk took advantage of a good fantasy matchup in the team's 27-14 win over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on Sunday. He finished the day with five catches on six targets for a season-high 156 yards and a touchdown. The 76-yard touchdown came on a sideline deep route against man coverage where he ran right by the corner before quarterback Brock Purdy dropped the ball in perfectly, ahead of late help from the safety. It was Aiyuk's second touchdown in as many weeks. The fourth-year pro has settled in nicely as the primary deep threat for this high-powered San Francisco offense, coming into the game leading NFL regulars at 17.8 yards per reception. Aiyuk will look to help the turkey digest easily for fantasy managers when he takes on a middling Seahawks defense in Seattle on Thanksgiving night.

Brandon Aiyuk With Plus Matchup Against Bucs

San Francisco 49ers wide receiver Brandon Aiyuk will line up against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in a home matchup on Sunday. Last week the former Sun Devil was efficient in a low-volume performance, catching three of three targets for 55 yards and a touchdown. It was the first time all year that Aiyuk had gotten fewer than six targets in a game. Tampa Bay's pass defense has averaged the fourth-most fantasy points allowed to wide receivers to this point. The Bucs have been particularly vulnerable to opponents' top outside threats, with Justin Jefferson, D.J. Moore, A.J. Brown, and Amon-Ra St. Brown all going over 100 yards receiving against them this year. Considering the matchup, Aiyuk will be a back-end WR1 in Week 11.

Brandon Aiyuk Catches Touchdown In Blowout Win

San Francisco 49ers wide receiver Brandon Aiyuk opened up the scoring for his offense with a 13-yard, first-quarter touchdown strike in their 34-3 win at the Jacksonville Jaguars on Sunday. Aiyuk looked like he might be on track for a monster day, but most of his involvement came early on as he only had one total target in the final three quarters. He finished with just three receptions on three targets for 55 yards and the touchdown. Aiyuk's fantasy day was capped in this one by a combination of a run-heavy game script once San Francisco had a sizable lead, being pulled from the game in garbage time, and the 49ers having numerous talented receiving options. He also had a would-be 16-yard reception called back for offensive pass interference after pushing off his defender. Aiyuk will remain a WR1 in Week 11 when the 49ers host the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, whose defense entered the week tied for the league's highest rate of wide receiver fantasy points allowed per game.

Brandon Aiyuk A Solid WR1 Off Bye

San Francisco 49ers wide receiver Brandon Aiyuk heads to Duval on Sunday to face the Jacksonville Jaguars. In Week 8, Aiyuk picked up 109 yards receiving on five receptions and nine targets. Jacksonville's defense has been excellent overall by DVOA, ranking third in the NFL. However, they are tied for the 10th-most fantasy points allowed to wide receivers thus far. The Jaguars play zone coverage on nearly 70% of their defensive snaps and conventional wisdom says that Aiyuk could struggle to get open, having done most of his damage against man coverage. In addition, Deebo Samuel (shoulder) is expected to play, perhaps taking targets that would have gone to Aiyuk. In spite of all that, Aiyuk remains San Francisco's top receiving option in fantasy and checks in this week as a mid-level WR1, getting a boost with a few top-12 options on a bye.

Brandon Aiyuk Goes Over 100 Yards

San Francisco 49ers wide receiver Brandon Aiyuk had a solid game on Sunday at home versus the Cincinnati Bengals. He finished with five catches on nine targets for 109 yards receiving. While he took a back seat to George Kittle in targets, receptions, and yards in the game, Aiyuk made the most of his chances when he had the ball in his hands, ripping off several long gains. Aiyuk managers have to be pleased with the performance after Week 7 when Deebo Samuel (shoulder) fill-in Jauan Jennings set a career-high in targets, seemingly at Aiyuk's expense. All was set right this week as Aiyuk was the 49ers' WR1 in all categories with Samuel still out. San Francisco will rest up during a Week 9 bye and prepare for Week 10 in Jacksonville.

Brandon Aiyuk A Borderline WR1 In Week 8

As odd as it sounds, San Francisco 49ers wide receiver Brandon Aiyuk will attempt to reclaim his role as the team's No. 1 receiving target this Sunday when the Cincinnati Bengals come to the Bay Area. Last week against Minnesota with Deebo Samuel out with a shoulder injury, Aiyuk should have been a slam dunk for a heavy target share but was inexplicably out-targeted by role-playing wide receiver Jauan Jennings nine to six. Aiyuk finished with a mediocre five catches for 57 yards and no touchdowns. Samuel remains out this week against Cincinnati who ranks in the exact middle of the league in fantasy points allowed to wide receivers per game at 21.8 in standard scoring. Jennings' involvement at Aiyuk's expense was likely a fluke, as Jennings had never had more than seven targets in 38 career games. Consider Aiyuk a low-end WR1 or high-end WR2 depending on league size this week.

Brandon Aiyuk Catches Five Passes In Loss

San Francisco 49ers wide receiver Brandon Aiyuk hauled in five of six targets for 57 yards in the team's 22-17 loss to the Vikings in Minnesota on Monday night. While he didn't leave fantasy managers completely hanging, it was a bit of a disappointing performance considering the context. Minnesota came into the game with mediocre pass-defense numbers and Aiyuk had 10 targets last week with Deebo Samuel (shoulder) out for most of the game. With Samuel remaining out, Aiyuk was out-targeted Monday by George Kittle and shockingly, Jauan Jennings. Fantasy managers shouldn't be too worried about Jennings siphoning targets next week against Cincinnati with Samuel expected out again, as tonight's total is a career-high for Jennings in 38 career games, though it will be something for fantasy managers to think about if they have a close start/sit decision involving Aiyuk in a shallow league.

Brandon Aiyuk A Great Choice In Week 7

San Francisco 49ers wide receiver Brandon Aiyuk will take on a beatable Vikings pass defense in Minnesota on Monday night. Aiyuk, 25, has been ascending fantasy rankings in the early season and presents us this week with one of his juiciest situations of the year. Not only has Minnesota allowed the sixth-most wide receiver fantasy points per game, but Aiyuk's target share should be high with fellow wide receiver Deebo Samuel (shoulder) ruled out. Last week, with Samuel out for only most of the game, Aiyuk caught just four passes for 76 yards but was targeted 10 times. Look for a similar number of chances this week but with better efficiency against a much weaker opponent. Aiyuk should be inserted into fantasy lineups as a mid-level WR1.

Brandon Aiyuk Fails To Capitalize On Large Target Share

San Francisco 49ers wide receiver Brandon Aiyuk had a serviceable fantasy day but left some meat on the bone in Sunday's 19-17 loss to the Browns in Cleveland. He was targeted a team-leading 10 times for just four catches and 76 yards receiving. While Aiyuk managers have to be happy with the volume, a more efficient Purdy-Aiyuk connection could have made for a week-winning performance. Cleveland showed why it was a top-ranked pass defense coming into the game by forcing Purdy to throw under duress, causing some just-overthrown balls that could have made Aiyuk's final stat line more exciting. There's no reason to panic, though, as a mediocre offensive output was always a distinct possibility coming into the game due to the tough matchup. Look for Aiyuk to rebound next Monday night when he faces a mediocre Vikings pass defense in Minneapolis.

Brandon Aiyuk Meets Another Robust Pass Defense In Week 6

San Francisco 49ers wide receiver Brandon Aiyuk will face a challenging Browns pass defense on Sunday in Cleveland. Last week he brought in four of seven targets for 58 yards as the 49ers routed a quality Dallas Cowboys pass defense. Although he didn't score a touchdown, Aiyuk was quarterback Brock Purdy's most targeted player and had a 40-yard catch negated on a holding penalty. Cleveland's pass defense has been statistically elite, ranking first in receiving yards per game allowed at 125 and tying for first in touchdowns to receivers at just one, albeit against mostly weak passing offenses. At this point in the season, Aiyuk has surpassed teammate Deebo Samuel in fantasy value according to consensus rankings. Fantasy managers should plug him into lineups as a borderline WR1.

Brandon Aiyuk Solid In Return From Injury

On Sunday against the Arizona Cardinals, San Francisco 49ers wide receiver Brandon Aiyuk proved he was just fine after missing one week with a shoulder injury. He caught all six of his targets for 148 yards. Aiyuk satisfied wide receiver coaches everywhere with a couple of soft-handed aesthetically pleasing grabs, including a 42-yard deep shot from quarterback Brock Purdy in the second quarter. Thus far in 2023, Purdy has shown good chemistry with Aiyuk, enough to make the latter a weekly solid WR2 play. That said, Aiyuk could be a bit of a fade in Week 5 when the 49ers host an elite Dallas Cowboys defense on Sunday Night Football.

San Francisco 49ers wide receiver Brandon Aiyuk (shoulder) practiced in full on Friday and will play on Sunday versus the Cardinals. The 25-year-old began the season by accumulating 11 catches for 172 yards and two touchdowns in the first two weeks. However, he missed Week 3 because of a shoulder injury. But with Deebo Samuel (ribs, knee) questionable versus Arizona, Aiyuk should see extra attention from Brock Purdy in Week 4, making him a must-start in all fantasy formats.

Brandon Aiyuk Sheds Non-Contact Jersey

San Francisco 49ers wide receiver Brandon Aiyuk (shoulder) shed his blue non-contact jersey at practice on Thursday. Aiyuk suffered a painful left-shoulder injury in Week 2 and was held out on a short week in last Thursday's win over the New York Giants. He's practiced the last two days, though, and appears to be on the right track towards returning to face the Arizona Cardinals this Sunday. And with Deebo Samuel (ribs) and Jauan Jennings (shin) now questionable to play in Week 4, Aiyuk could be quarterback Brock Purdy's top aerial target in a favorable matchup. In his first two games in 2023, Aiyuk has a healthy 11 receptions on 14 targets for 172 yards and two touchdowns, although most of that production came in the season opener.

Brandon Aiyuk Logs A Limited Practice On Wednesday

San Francisco 49ers wide receiver Brandon Aiyuk (shoulder) got in a limited practice on Wednesday. The 25-year-old wide receiver suffered a shoulder injury in the first quarter of a Week 2 win over the Los Angeles Rams and sat out Week 3 against the New York Giants as a result. But it's encouraging to see him log a limited practice to start the week, which puts him in line to play on Sunday against the Arizona Cardinals. Both Deebo Samuel (ribs/knee) and Jauan Jennings (shin) both missed practice on Wednesday so if either player, or both, is unable to suit up on Sunday then Aiyuk could be in line for a huge workload.

Brandon Aiyuk Seen At Monday's Practice

San Francisco 49ers wide receiver Brandon Aiyuk (shoulder) was seen participating in practice on Monday. The Niners aren't required to release an official injury report this week until Wednesday, but it's a good sign that Aiyuk is back on the practice field after he was held out of last Thursday night's win over the New York Giants due to a shoulder injury he suffered in Week 2. We'll have a better idea of whether he has a shot at returning in Week 4 against the Arizona Cardinals later in the week after the team holds a few more practices. In the first two games of the year, Aiyuk caught 11 of his 14 targets for 172 yards and two touchdowns and will remain a big part of San Fran's passing attack when he's healthy.

Brandon Aiyuk Officially Inactive For TNF

San Francisco 49ers wide receiver Brandon Aiyuk (shoulder) is officially inactive for the Thursday night game against the New York Giants. Aiyuk suffered a shoulder injury in the Week 2 win over the Los Angeles Rams, but he avoided a broken collarbone after undergoing a CT scan on Monday. The good news is that this doesn't appear to be a long-term injury for Aiyuk, but the Niners aren't going to put him in harm's way on a short week early in the season. For now, fantasy managers should consider him questionable to play in Week 4 against the Arizona Cardinals. In his absence on Thursday night, Deebo Samuel and George Kittle should see more targets, while Jauan Jennings and rookie Ronnie Bell will compete for No. 3 duties in San Fran.

Brandon Aiyuk Not Expected To Play Thursday

San Francisco 49ers wide receiver Brandon Aiyuk (shoulder), who is listed as questionable for the Thursday night game against the New York Giants, is not expected to play, according to a league source. Aiyuk injured his shoulder early in the Week 2 win over the Los Angeles Rams and ended up playing just over half of the offensive snaps after leaving the game for a while to be checked out. A CT scan ruled out a broken collarbone and he was able to practice some this week, but ultimately the Niners are expected to play it safe with Aiyuk and hold him out early in the year. With the 25-year-old out, Jauan Jennings and rookie Ronnie Bell will battle for a bigger role in the passing game for the Niners behind Deebo Samuel and tight end George Kittle. Consider Aiyuk questionable to return in Week 4 against the Arizona Cardinals.

Brandon Aiyuk Questionable To Play Thursday Night

San Francisco 49ers wide receiver Brandon Aiyuk (shoulder) is officially listed as questionable to play on Thursday night against the New York Giants to kick off Week 3 action. A CT scan on Monday showed that Aiyuk avoided a broken left collarbone after getting hurt early in the Week 2 win over the Los Angeles Rams, so whether he plays on Thursday will come down to pain tolerance. After a big Week 1 performance, he only played 53% of the offensive snaps on Sunday and caught three of six targets for 43 yards. The 25-year-old obviously enters Week 3 with a lot more risk, but he could still produce if he plays against a porous Giants defense. If Aiyuk is out of limited, Jauan Jennings and rookie Ronnie Bell will fight for elevated work behind Deebo Samuel.

Brandon Aiyuk Limited Tuesday, Likely To Be Game-Time Decision

San Francisco 49ers wide receiver Brandon Aiyuk (shoulder) will be limited in practice on Tuesday. Head coach Kyle Shanahan said that Aiyuk will likely be a game-time decision for Thursday night's game against the New York Giants to kick off Week 3. Aiyuk had a CT scan on Monday that ruled out a broken clavicle, and it's good news that he returned to the practice field on Tuesday. However, whether he plays on Thursday is going to come down to pain tolerance and whether the Niners feel like risking it early in the season. The 25-year-old suffered a shoulder injury early in the Week 2 win over the Los Angeles Rams and ended up playing only 53% of the snaps while catching three of six targets for 43 yards. Aiyuk could be in danger of playing fewer snaps again if he suits up on a short week. If he's out or limited Jauan Jennings figures to benefit the most from a bigger role in the passing attack.

Brandon Aiyuk Doesn't Have Broken Clavicle

San Francisco 49ers wide receiver Brandon Aiyuk (shoulder) doesn't have a break to his clavicle area after undergoing a CT scan on Monday, according to a source. Aiyuk's ability to suit up for the Week 3 game against the New York Giants on Thursday night on a short week will be all about pain tolerance. The Niners listed Aiyuk as a non-participant on their estimated injury report on Monday, and he may not practice much, if at all, leading up to Thursday night's game. But if the 25-year-old is able to play through the pain, he could still be active against a suspect Giants secondary. It remains to be seen how effective Aiyuk will be if he plays at less than 100 percent, though. Aiyuk's Week 3 status could come down to a game-time decision on Thursday.

Brandon Aiyuk Listed As DNP Monday

San Francisco 49ers wide receiver Brandon Aiyuk (shoulder) was listed as a non-participant in Monday's estimated practice report after he suffered a left shoulder injury on the opening drive in the Week 2 win over the Los Angeles Rams on Sunday. Aiyuk landed on his shoulder hard on the turf during a 13-yard catch. He played 30 of the team's 57 offensive plays because of the injury, with the Niners mixing in rookie Ronnie Bell and Jauan Jennings, each of whom played 27 snaps. Aiyuk's status for Week 3 against the New York Giants this Thursday appears to be in question. Keep a close eye on his practice status in the next two days. If he doesn't get the green light to play on Thursday, Bell figures to benefit the most with an expanded role in the passing attack.

Brandon Aiyuk Comes Back To Earth In Week 2

San Francisco 49ers wide receiver Brandon Aiyuk couldn't repeat his Week 1 breakout performance in Sunday's 30-23 win against the Rams in Los Angeles. Aiyuk, 25, hauled in three of his six targets for 43 yards. It was a disappointment for fantasy managers who were hoping to see more evidence of a transformation from a WR3/flex to a reliable WR2. Although he didn't miss many snaps, at times Aiyuk appeared to grimace in pain from what seemed to be a shoulder injury suffered early in the contest. Fantasy managers will have to wait and see if the issue is something that will impact his availability for Thursday's home opener against the New York Giants.

Brandon Aiyuk - Week 2 Outlook for Fantasy Football

San Francisco 49ers wide receiver Brandon Aiyuk had a breakout day in a 30-7 Week 1 victory at the Pittsburgh Steelers. The fourth-year pro out of Arizona State lit up the box score with eight receptions on as many targets for 129 yards and two touchdowns. More importantly, the trust and rapport developing between Aiyuk and quarterback Brock Purdy was obvious. It remains to be seen if Aiyuk has become the fantasy wide receiver to own in San Francisco, but it's at least possible that he will have out-produced fellow receiver Deebo Samuel when all is said and done. Based on the growth displayed last week and a great matchup against an unproven Los Angeles Rams defense, consider Aiyuk a WR2 this week.

His second, also against Peterson, was a master class in body positioning along the sideline in one-on-one coverage.
