  • Jordan Love Not An Inspiring Streaming Option Against Saints

    Headshot for Jordan Love

Green Bay Packers quarterback Jordan Love will face off against the New Orleans Saints in Week 3 this Sunday. The 24-year-old has thrown three touchdowns in each of the past two games but will have a tough time against a stiff Saints defense. New Orleans has held opposing quarterbacks to fewer than 10 fantasy points per game to open the season and has given up just one passing touchdown. Getting Christian Watson (hamstring) back would help a ton, but not enough to make Love a good streaming option in Week 3. The upcoming schedule for the Packers quarterback is great, with the Lions and Raiders back-to-back before the team's Week 6 bye, so holding onto him for future matchups is a good idea. However, he is better left on the bench this week in favor of a better streaming option.

  • Jayden Reed Posts Two Touchdowns In Losing Effort

    Headshot for Jordan Love

Green Bay Packers wide receiver Jayden Reed caught 4-of-8 targets for 37 yards and two touchdowns during the team's 25-24 loss to the Atlanta Falcons. The rookie made the most of his increased opportunity with Christian Watson (hamstring) out for the second week in a row and was able to account for two of quarterback Jordan Love's three touchdowns thrown. Reed capped off the team's first scoring drive with a nine-yard touchdown on a touch pass that he took around the corner past multiple defenders. The 23-year-old showed off his speed on the play and then was able to find the end zone again on a 10-yard strike at the end of the third quarter. Even when Watson returns, Reed has earned starting reps and will be a solid waiver pickup heading into Week 3. He will be a potential deep league flex option next week against the New Orleans Saints.

  • Jordan Love Throws Three Touchdowns Again In Week 2

    Headshot for Jordan Love

Green Bay Packers quarterback Jordan Love completed 14-of-25 passes for 151 yards and three touchdowns, adding three carries for 21 yards on the ground during the team's 25-24 loss to the Atlanta Falcons. It is the second week in a row that the 24-year-old has thrown three touchdowns, but he struggled to get much done through the air unless they were in scoring range. The lack of a run game hurt Love's chances at success, and missing Christian Watson (hamstring) for the second week in a row did him no favors either. It was a decent fantasy performance, but the lack of yardage through the air will cost him in the overall rankings by the end of Week 2. The team will hope to have Aaron Jones (hamstring) and Watson back next week against a stiff New Orleans defense. Love will be off the streaming radar unless both return in Week 3.

  • Elgton Jenkins Ruled Out With Knee Injury

    Headshot for Jordan Love

Green Bay Packers offensive guard Elgton Jenkins (knee) has been ruled out against the Falcons with a knee injury. The two-time pro-bowler was one of the anchors of this offensive line that helped hold the Bears to only one sack, as quarterback Jordan Love threw three touchdown passes last week. Royce Newman comes in to replace Jenkins at left guard.

  • Christian Watson Anticipated To Miss Another Game

    Headshot for Romeo Doubs

Green Bay Packers wide receiver Christian Watson (hamstring) isn't expected to play in Sunday's meeting with Atlanta. The 24-year-old is burdened by a hamstring issue and wasn't available for the regular-season opener against the Chicago Bears. He did practice somewhat during the week, so there's a chance he could be ready in Week 3 against the visiting New Orleans Saints. But for now, Romeo Doubs (hamstring) is anticipated to remain Jordan Love's primary target, meaning he's a must-start in all formats. At the same time, Luke Musgrave and Jayden Reed each warrant flex consideration in deeper fantasy setups.

  • Jordan Love - Week 2 Outlook for Fantasy Football

    Headshot for Jordan Love

Green Bay Packers quarterback Jordan Love will travel to Atlanta to take on the Falcons in Week 2. The 24-year-old had an impressive showing in Green Bay's regular-season opener and threw three touchdowns without his top option Christian Watson (hamstring). Watson is questionable again this week and could be limited if active, but Love has another chance to be a solid streaming option against the Falcons. Atlanta was able to stop a putrid Carolina passing attack last weekend, but they are not a matchup to shy away from for fantasy. If the fourth-year quarterback can remain efficient and throw multiple touchdowns, he can easily finish as a top-tier streaming option with the chance to rank in the top 12 by the end of the week. Aaron Jones (hamstring) could also miss this game, potentially leading to a more pass-heavy approach. Consider Love if you are looking to stream the quarterback position this week.

  • Atlanta D/ST Facing Greater Challenge In Week 2

    Headshot for Jordan Love

The Atlanta Falcons defense shut down the Carolina Panthers in Week 1, allowing just 10 points in their victory. The season opener featured a matchup against a rookie quarterback making his debut, though. In Week 2 the Falcons will see the more seasoned Jordan Love captaining a Packers attack with more talent. While it remains to be seen how much Love's offense is healthy and active for the game, Atlanta's defense is hard to trust and fantasy managers should find a different streaming option in Week 2.

  • Jordan Love Not An Inspiring Fantasy Option In Week 1

    Headshot for Jordan Love

Green Bay Packers quarterback Jordan Love will go on the road to take on the Chicago Bears in the team's season opener this Sunday. The 24-year-old opens his career as the Packers starter with a favorable matchup. However, Love will be missing his top target, Christian Watson (hamstring), and could be missing his No. 2 wide receiver, Romeo Doubs (hamstring). The Packers receiver depth chart is shallow, with rookies Jayden Reed and Luke Musgrave being the two lone bright spots behind Watson and Doubs. Running back Aaron Jones will be a nice safety blanket for Love, but it would be best to keep the former first-round draft pick on the bench, even in superflex leagues, during the start of the regular season with his upside now capped in Week 1. Once Watson and Doubs are good to go, Love can be viewed as a more competent streaming option.

  • Jordan Love Ends Preseason With Solid Performance

    Headshot for Jordan Love

Green Bay Packers quarterback Jordan Love completed 9-of-15 passes for 63 yards and a touchdown, adding three carries for 21 yards, during the team's 19-15 preseason victory over the Seattle Seahawks. The 24-year-old ended his third preseason game with his third total touchdown after hitting Christian Watson on a six-yard toss early in the second quarter. The solid performance caps off a positive preseason for the Packers' new starting quarterback, who will look to take this momentum into the regular season opener against the Chicago Bears. Love even showed that he could add a mobile element to his game for fantasy managers after carrying the ball three times with moderate success. While he is likely to go undrafted in most redraft leagues, Love could prove to be valuable as a streaming option and could even find his way into starting lineups on the regular if he can reach his ceiling in his first year as a starter.

  • Jordan Love To Play In Preseason Finale

    Headshot for Jordan Love

Green Bay Packers quarterback Jordan Love will see action in the team's final preseason game Saturday against Seattle. Coach Matt LaFleur wants the young core to get as many snaps as possible. This means Love will start all three preseason games for Green Bay. The 24-year-old has impressed in his starts, going a combined 12-for-18 passing for 130 yards and two touchdowns. The fourth-year pro is entrenched as the starter in Green Bay. With receivers Christian Watson and Romeo Doubs as his primary weapons, Love could surprise fantasy managers with strong weekly performances. He's worthy of a late-round upside swing in redraft formats and should be rostered in 2QB or Superflex leagues.

  • Jordan Love Solid Again In Preseason Week 2

    Headshot for Jordan Love

Green Bay Packers quarterback Jordan Love completed 5-of-8 passes for 84 yards and a touchdown, adding two carries for 11 yards, during the team's 21-17 preseason loss to the New England Patriots. It was another solid outing for the 24-year-old. Love looked confident under pressure and found rookie Jayden Reed up the seam for a 19-yard touchdown pass late in the first quarter. The former first-round draft pick even showed off his ability as a ball carrier and had a nice scramble for a first down on a broken pass play. After two solid preseason outings, the new Packers starting quarterback will look to parlay this success into a victory during the team's first regular season game against the Chicago Bears in a few weeks. Green Bay has not announced if we will see Love in the final preseason game against Seattle yet, but if he does play, it will likely be only for a few series.

  • David Bakhtiari Won't Be Traded

    Headshot for Jordan Love

According to Packers general manager Brian Gutekunst, offensive tackle David Bakhtiari is staying in Green Bay. "First of all, we're not going to trade David," said Gutekunst on Friday. " So just get that out of the way." Undoubtedly, the 31-year-old is as talented as it gets, with a resume that includes multiple Pro Bowl appearances and two All-Pro selections. But he's battled knee injuries over the years, which certainly impacted the effectiveness of the Packers' offensive line. However, assuming Bakhtiari stays healthy, he'll prove invaluable in protecting Jordan Love in his first year as the starting signal-caller.

  • Luke Musgrave Building Chemistry With Jordan Love

    Headshot for Jordan Love

Green Bay Packers rookie tight end Luke Musgrave is reportedly impressing his coaching staff and teammates during his first NFL offseason. Quarterback Jordan Love is entering his first season as a starter and it sounds like Musgrave could be one of his favorite targets. "We've just got to keep getting him the ball, keep feeding him, and see what he can do after the catch," Love said of Musgrave. "He's going to be a really good player." The 22-year-old was selected in the second round of the 2023 NFL Draft and has been lauded for his size-adjusted speed all offseason. He seems to be locked into the starting tight end job for Green Bay, so he could be an interesting late-round dart throw in leagues of all shapes and sizes.

  • Jordan Love Tosses Touchdown In Preseason Opener

    Headshot for Jordan Love

Green Bay Packers quarterback Jordan Love completed 7-of-10 passes for 46 yards and a touchdown during the team's 36-19 preseason victory over the Cincinnati Bengals. While the Bengals rested their starters to open the preseason, Love had a solid showing he needed to get his career as the Packers' starting quarterback off right. The first drive started strong with a couple of completions to running back Aaron Jones and rookie tight end Luke Musgrave, but it resulted in a punt after a few missed deep throws. The next drive was much better, with the 24-year-old completing 5-of-6 passes, ending the drive with a 9-yard touchdown strike to Romeo Doubs. For what it is worth, the Packers starter spread the ball around fairly evenly between Christian Watson, Doubs, and Musgrave. We should see more from the fourth-year quarterback next Saturday night when the Packers take on the New England Patriots.

  • Jordan Love To Play A Series Or Two

    Headshot for Jordan Love

Green Bay Packers quarterback Jordan Love will make the start in the team's preseason opener on Friday against the Cincinnati Bengals, and he's expected to play a series or two on offense. Since the Packers traded up to take Love in the first round of the 2020 draft, he's made just one start for the team in 10 total appearances. Now Green Bay is asking him to take over for future Hall of Famer Aaron Rodgers as the starting signal-caller. The 24-year-old will surely have his ups and downs, and the Packers will rely heavily on their ground game to help him out. Love is inexperienced, and so are most of his receiving options, so fantasy managers shouldn't consider him anything more than a low-end QB2 in superflex leagues.

  • Jordan Love Likely To Play On Friday Night

    Headshot for Jordan Love

Green Bay Packers quarterback Jordan Love is anticipated to suit up for Friday's preseason opener versus the Bengals. Although head coach Matt LaFleur didn't confirm it, he did state that the signal-caller (and offensive starters) have a "pretty good chance" to be out there. Love also expects to play "at least" a couple of series. The 24-year-old will finally get his chance to take over under center this season. But he has limited experience, appearing in only 10 games in his career and throwing for 606 yards, three touchdowns, and three picks while completing 60.2% of his attempts. Nevertheless, Love has had some hiccups throughout training camp, so it sounds like he would benefit from exhibition reps heading into the season.

  • Jordan Love Struggles On Saturday Night

    Headshot for Jordan Love

According to Matt Schneidman of The Athletic, Green Bay Packers quarterback Jordan Love didn't look his best during practice on Saturday. The team held "Family Night," although the signal-caller couldn't generate a positive showing. He had issues completing passes, overthrowing targets on separate occasions, some of which were wide-open. The 24-year-old also botched a quarterback-center exchange, prompting head coach Matt LaFleur to reset the two-minute drill. To be fair, not all was terrible, even though it's easy for Love's critics to emphasize an off-night. However, it's hard to look past this type of outing at this point in training camp, so the situation is worth monitoring moving forward.

  • Jordan Love Has Complete Command Of Offense

    Headshot for Jordan Love

Green Bay Packers head coach Matt LaFleur said that quarterback Jordan Love "has complete command of our offense," but he also added that "you can't give enough reps." LaFleur doesn't want to "wear his arm out" and said the team has to be mindful of that and chart how many throws he gets each day in training camp. It's go time for Love, who will be handed the keys to Green Bay's offense for the first time as a full-time starter since being taken in the first round of 2020. He's been uneven in his first 10 NFL appearances (just one start) in the last two years, so even though the Packers seem confident that he can run their offense, Love is surely to have growing pains in 2023 in an offense without many proven playmakers in the passing game.

  • Jordan Love Putting In Work Ahead Of Training Camp

    Headshot for Jordan Love

Green Bay Packers quarterback Jordan Love has some big shoes to fill this season. With Aaron Rodgers now a Jet, Love will finally get a chance to show what he can do. It appears he's embracing the opportunity, and those within the organization continue to express their support. The signal-caller has put in plenty of work this offseason to prepare for his new role. Most recently, he's been drilling with teammates in California, including Aaron Jones and Christian Watson, among others. Love is still unproved, playing in only 10 games while throwing for 606 yards, three touchdowns, three picks, and completing just 60.2% of his throws. However, he's someone to consider in drafts heading toward the season, especially for fantasy managers looking for an option later in multi-quarterback setups.

Doubs and Love built a solid rapport while with the second team during the 2022 offseason and that has continued as the team gears up for the 2023 season. Headshot for Jordan Love

Green Bay Packers quarterback Jordan Love brings confidence and leadership abilities that have won him the trust of the team, said starting left guard Elgton Jenkins. In an interview with the NFL Network's Good Morning Football, Jenkins said, "In OTAs, I've seen a lot of good things from Jordan, a lot of leadership -- he stepped up as a leader a lot -- so I'm very excited for his future and ready to play with him." He praised Love's confidence, saying he "approached every game as a starter," even as a rookie in the shadow of Aaron Rodgers. He has only started one game, a 7-13 loss to the Kansas City Chiefs in 2021, in which he only completed 19-of-34 passes for 190 yards, one touchdown, and one interception. He looked better in limited time in relief in 2022. In Week 12 against the Philadelphia Eagles, he completed 6-of-9 passes for 113 yards and a touchdown. The Packers and fantasy football managers will get their first real chance to evaluate Love's long-term prospects this season.
