  • Albert Okwuegbunam May See More Red Zone Looks

Denver Broncos tight end Albert Okwuegbunam could see more targets moving ahead after Tim Patrick (knee) was lost for the year. Head coach Nathaniel Hackett emphasized the need for others to step up on the offensive end this season, especially inside the red zone, an area where Patrick has thrived over the years. With Noah Fant now in Seattle, there will be plenty of chances for Okwuegbunam to get involved. He'll likely share snaps with rookie Greg Dulcich, but his upside in deeper fantasy formats may be higher than ever. There is also streaming potential for the 2020 fourth-round pick, even more so if Dulcich is limited early in the season due to his nagging hamstring issue.

  • Albert Okwuegbunam, Greg Dulcich To Compete

Denver Broncos tight ends Albert Okwuegbunam and rookie third-rounder Greg Dulcich are expected to compete for the starting tight end gig in training camp this summer. Dulcich surprisingly was put on the fast track in offseason practices and was sharing work with the first-team offense with Okwuegbunam. A minor core-muscle injury pulled Dulcich from the final week of organized team activities and mandatory minicamp as a precaution. Albert O is still the better bet to be Denver's top pass-catching tight end early in the year, but Dulcich is one to watch in training camp. Okwuegbunam is bigger at 6-foot-5, 258 pounds, and he flashed big-play potential in his first two seasons. However, Dulcich might be more of a natural receiver at 6-foot-4, 245 pounds. Okwuegbunam should begin the year as the starter, but Dulcich could push him near midseason, depending on how much he's developed.
