Cole Kmet Catches Seven Passes In Win Over Vikings

Chicago Bears tight end Cole Kmet caught all seven of his targets for 43 yards in the team's 12-10 win over the Vikings in Week 12. This was the fourth time this season the Notre Dame alum finished with more than five catches in a game, but he was limited to just 43 yards, and 24 of those came on one reception. The 24-year-old trailed only DJ Moore in targets and has seen seven or more targets in four of the last five games. His production has been pretty stable with both Tyson Bagent and Justin Fields under center, but his ceiling is higher with Fields because of how much Fields elevates the offense's potential. The Bears are off in Week 13 and get the Lions again in Week 14, who allow the 13th-most points per game to tight ends this year. Kmet remains a solid TE1 option going forward.

Cole Kmet Low-End TE1 For Week 12

Chicago Bears tight end Cole Kmet had a mediocre outing in Week 11, finishing with three catches on four targets for just 20 yards. The Notre Dame alum has shown flashes of greatness this year, surpassing 15 PPR points four times, but also experiencing four games with five PPR points or less. Kmet has had both productive outings and duds with both quarterbacks this season, facing the challenge of an unpredictable game script in Week 11. The Bears, unexpectedly leading against the Lions, threw for only 169 yards, emphasizing the run game. It's unlikely that the Bears will consistently play from ahead, and Kmet is expected to see more opportunities going forward. In Week 12, the Bears face the Vikings, who allow the 17th-most points per game to tight ends this season. While the range of outcomes for Kmet varies, he still ranks as a decent play in Week 12.

Cole Kmet Catches Three Passes In Loss To Lions

Chicago Bears tight end Cole Kmet had a quiet performance in Week 11, securing three of his four targets for just 20 yards. Despite the return of starting quarterback Justin Fields from a thumb injury, the Notre Dame alum experienced his third-lowest receiving output of the season in the team's 31-26 loss to the Lions. With DJ Moore working as the primary target in the Bears' offense and the team securing an unlikely early lead, the game shifted toward a more run-heavy approach for the Bears, limiting Kmet's opportunities. Looking ahead to Week 12, the Bears face the Vikings, who allow the 11th-most points per game to tight ends this season. Despite the recent dip in production, the 24-year-old Kmet remains an integral part of the team's passing attack, making him a reliable option for fantasy managers moving forward.

Cole Kmet A Solid Play In Week 11

Chicago Bears tight end Cole Kmet is coming off a more average production in Week 10, posting five catches on seven targets for 45 yards. Justin Fields (hand) was a full participant on Wednesday and is likely to return to action after missing four games. The Notre Dame alum has had big games regardless of the quarterback, as he posted two touchdown games with both Fields and Tyson Bagent. The ceiling of the Bears' passing attack and overall offense increases, however, making Kmet a more reliable play. The Bears take on the Lions in Week 11, who allow the 10th most points per game to tight ends this season. With an offense that should have more success driving down the field, Kmet is a solid play in Detroit in Week 11. Fantasy managers can expect Kmet to be a key target for Fields, offering a combination of reliable hands and red-zone prowess that could lead to a significant fantasy impact down the stretch.

Cole Kmet Catches Five Passes In Win Over Panthers

Chicago Bears tight end Cole Kmet came back down to Earth after two outstanding performances, finishing with five catches on seven targets for 45 yards in the team's 16-13 win over the Panthers on Thursday. This marks the third straight game with seven or more targets for Kmet after previously never having two in a row. Although quarterback Justin Fields (thumb) remained out, the Notre Dame alum has maintained a steady role in the offense. Kmet has had great games with both Fields and rookie Tyson Bagent, but the overall ceiling of the passing attack increases with Fields back. After being questionable most of the week, there's a good chance Fields can return for Week 11 with the extra days off. The Bears take on the Lions in Week 11, a team that allows the sixth-most PPR points to tight ends per game this year. Kmet is a solid play with either quarterback, as he has managed 20-point PPR outputs with both Fields and Bagent.

Cole Kmet A Solid Play In Week 10

Chicago Bears tight end Cole Kmet has notched two consecutive top-six tight end performances in PPR leagues. He's coming off an impressive showing with six catches, 55 yards, and two touchdowns in the Bears' recent 24-17 loss to the Saints. Although he initially missed practice due to a knee injury, the Notre Dame alum swiftly returned to full practice and shed his injury designation. However, the status of starting quarterback Justin Fields (thumb) remains questionable, with Tyson Bagent as the replacement if he cannot go. Kmet has demonstrated the ability to produce solid numbers with either quarterback, but his ceiling is slightly higher if Fields is able to play. It's worth noting that the Panthers have allowed the sixth-fewest PPR points per game to tight ends this season. Nevertheless, Kmet's role in the offense makes him a reliable option for fantasy managers.

Cole Kmet Returns To Full Practice

Chicago Bears tight end Cole Kmet (knee) returned to a full practice session on Tuesday after being listed as a non-participant on Monday's estimated injury report. We were wondering if Kmet's Week 10 status would be in question on a short week after he picked up a DNP on Monday, but his return to a full practice a day later should ease any concerns about his status for Thursday Night Football against the Carolina Panthers. The 24-year-old could be getting quarterback Justin Fields (thumb) back as well, making him even more exciting as a low-end TE1 in fantasy after catching two touchdowns in the Week 9 loss to the New Orleans Saints. Kmet's fantasy arrow is pointing firmly up after hauling in five touchdown passes in the last six games.

Cole Kmet Listed As DNP Monday

Chicago Bears tight end Cole Kmet (knee) was listed as a non-participant on the team's estimated injury report on Monday after they conducted a walkthrough. Kmet exploded for six catches on eight targets for 55 yards and two touchdowns in the Week 9 loss to the New Orleans Saints, but his status for this Thursday night's clash against the Carolina Panthers is now in question. Chicago isn't going to get much practice in on a short week, but we'll keep a close eye on the 24-year-old's status before Week 10 action kicks off. If he's able to play, he'll be a low-end TE1 option for fantasy managers with added upside if quarterback Justin Fields (thumb) is able to make his return. If Kmet is inactive this week, Robert Tonyan and Marcedes Lewis would split the workload at right end for the Bears.

Cole Kmet Scores Two Touchdowns Versus Saints

Chicago Bears tight end Cole Kmet has emerged as a favored target for backup quarterback Tyson Bagent ever since a Week 7 game in which he received zero targets. Following a strong Week 8 performance, the 24-year-old had an impressive Week 9 showing in the team's 24-17 loss to the Saints. Kmet managed to secure six catches on eight targets, accumulating 55 yards and scoring two touchdowns. This marked the fourth occasion this season where he achieved double-digit PPR points, with two instances exceeding 20 points. Although there's a possibility of starter Justin Fields (thumb) returning in Week 10, Kmet seems to have a solid role, regardless of the quarterback. The overall passing game potential improves with Fields' return, possibly resulting in more consistent performances. The Panthers have allowed the 23rd-most points to tight ends this season, but Kmet has proven to have big-game ability.

Cole Kmet Looks To Build On Strong Week 8 Performance

Chicago Bears tight end Cole Kmet has experienced both ends of the spectrum in the past two weeks. In Week 7, Kmet finished with zero catches on zero targets despite playing 89% of the snaps. Last week against the Chargers, the Notre Dame alum did a complete 180, catching all 10 of his targets for 79 yards in the 30-13 loss to the Chargers, ranking as TE6 for Week 8 in PPR formats. Week 9 presents more of a challenge, as the Saints allow the fifth-fewest points per game this year to tight ends. With starter Justin Fields (thumb) out again, rookie backup Tyson Bagent is set to start once more. Kmet seemed to establish a good rapport with the undrafted rookie last week, but the Bears' passing attack is extremely limited. He ranks as a TE2 this week against a stingy Saints' defense.

Cole Kmet Bounces Back On Sunday Night

Chicago Bears tight end Cole Kmet had a much-needed bounce back this week, coming off his zero-target effort in Week 7. In their 30-13 loss to the Chargers on Sunday Night Football, Kmet finished with 10 catches for 79 yards, marking his second-most productive output this season in PPR formats. Although starter Justin Fields (thumb) missed his second straight game, the Notre Dame alumni got back on track with undrafted rookie Tyson Bagent. Kmet was really starting to get going with Fields at the helm and saw a huge drop-off in the first two games without him. Fields could return to practice this week, but Kmet might have a significant role in this offense now, regardless of who's at quarterback. Next week is a tougher matchup against a Saints team that allows the sixth-fewest points to tight ends this season.

Cole Kmet Risking Play In Week 8

Chicago Bears tight end Cole Kmet was establishing himself as a reliable fantasy option until Justin Fields suffered a thumb injury. In the two games where backup Tyson Bagent has taken the field, Kmet has only managed two catches for nine yards on three targets, with all of those coming in the Week 6 game when Fields got injured. The former Notre Dame tight end seems to lack fantasy value until Fields returns, as he recently had a game with zero targets in their 30-12 victory over the Raiders in Week 7. Despite the Chargers allowing the 10th most points per game to tight ends this season, the limited passing game for the Bears makes Kmet a bench-worthy option for fantasy managers, if possible. Kmet's hopes for consistency rest upon the return of his starting quarterback.

Cole Kmet Removed From The Injury Report

Chicago Bears tight end Cole Kmet (hamstring) is no longer on the injury report heading into the Week 6 game against the Vikings. Fantasy managers can breathe a sigh of relief, as the TE3 from the past two weeks will take the field against one of the weaker defensive units against the position. The Vikings allow 12.8 fantasy points per game to opposing tight ends in PPR formats. Over the last two games, Kmet has hauled in three touchdowns, and the only players at his position that have scored more in that time are Sam LaPorta and Travis Kelce. Kmet looks to be a good start this week, as the offense is rolling and he has a good matchup.

Cole Kmet Limited Again Thursday

Chicago Bears tight end Cole Kmet (hamstring) was limited in practice for a second consecutive day on Thursday. Kmet's Week 6 status is worth watching heading into Sunday's tilt versus the Minnesota Vikings, but we'd be surprised if he didn't suit up. The 24-year-old tight end has scored three touchdowns in the last two weeks and sits as the TE3 behind only Sam LaPorta and Travis Kelce in half-PPR scoring through the first five weeks of the 2023 season. He's caught 23 of his 29 targets for 231 yards and the three touchdowns. Against a porous Vikings defense this weekend, Kmet should be a strong TE1 choice for fantasy managers as long as he's active.

Cole Kmet On The Week 6 Injury Report

Chicago Bears tight end Cole Kmet (hamstring) is listed on the Week 6 injury report after putting in a limited practice on Wednesday. Kmet's status is worth watching heading into Sunday's battle against the Minnesota Vikings, but as long as he doesn't suffer any setbacks later this week, Kmet figures to have a good chance of playing. The 24-year-old has been added in fantasy leagues in recent weeks after catching 12 of his 14 targets for 127 yards and three touchdowns in the last two games against the Denver Broncos and Washington Commanders. He has a great matchup against Minnesota this week, too, so as long as he's active, he'll line up as an intriguing low-end TE1 for fantasy managers.

Cole Kmet Scores Again In Bears Win

Chicago Bears tight end Cole Kmet caught five passes for 42 yards and a touchdown in the Bears 40-20 win on Thursday night against the Commanders. Kmet backed up a fantastic Week 4 performance by finding the end zone for the third time in the last two games. Kmet has now racked up 12 receptions on 14 targets during that span in a Chicago offense that suddenly has risen from the dead. The solid tight end will be fantasy viable next week against the Vikings.

Can Cole Kmet Repeat Week 4 Performance?

Chicago Bears tight end Cole Kmet will look to build off a breakout Week 4 performance Thursday night against the Commanders. Kmet caught seven passes for 85 yards and two touchdowns in the Bears heart-breaking loss. But the talented tight end flashed what inspired the Bears front office to give him an extension before the season began. He will face a Commanders defense that currently is allowing the fewest fantasy points to opposing tight ends. They have not allowed a single tight end to post more than 25 yards against them. This could be a matter of sample size but fantasy managers should proceed with caution before blindly inserting Kmet into fantasy starting lineups in Week 5.

Cole Kmet Catches Two Touchdowns In Week 4

Chicago Bears tight end Cole Kmet did everything he could during Sunday's game against the Denver Broncos. The young tight end hauled in seven of his nine targets for 85 yards and scored two touchdowns in the loss. Kmet was tied with D.J. Moore for a team-high nine targets on the day. The Bears were able to find Kmet wide open for a few receptions early in the game. He has at least five receptions in three of the first four games this season. He should remain a viable option in fantasy leagues heading into the Week 5 matchup against the Washington Commanders.

Cole Kmet Has Solid Matchup Against Chiefs

Chicago Bears tight end Cole Kmet will look to jump-start a slumping Bears offense against the defending champion Chiefs in Week 3. Kmet has been solid, if unspectacular, through the first two games with nine catches for 82 yards and 13 targets. Kmet has really struggled blocking for quarterback Justin Fields and has had a hand in the Bears dismal offensive effort to start the season. He will face a Chiefs defense that has already allowed two tight ends to post six-plus fantasy points against them. Those are not week-winning numbers but fantasy managers could do worse from the tight end position. Kmet will have a decent shot at posting top-12 fantasy numbers among tight ends in Week 3.

Cole Kmet - Week 2 Outlook for Fantasy Football

Chicago Bears tight end Cole Kmet will look to rebound from a tough Week 1 performance this Sunday against Tampa Bay. Kmet tied for the team lead in targets with seven but was mostly ineffective as a blocker in the passing game. The Bears awful offensive performance was a team-wide disaster and Kmet was not immune from making mistakes. Kmet should have a decent matchup against a Tampa Bay defense that allowed the seventh most fantasy points to opposing tight ends last season, including surrendering nine touchdowns. The talented tight end will have fringe top-12 fantasy value among his position group for Week 2.

Cole Kmet Ties For Team Lead With Seven Targets

Chicago Bears tight end Cole Kmet caught five passes for 44 yards in the Bears embarrassing loss to the Packers in Week 1. Chicago's offense struggled throughout but Cole Kmet was able to gobble up some targets in the second half. The Bears offense needs to improve immediately for Kmet to be a viable top-12 fantasy option at the tight end position. He will carry volatile fantasy value heading into Week 2.
