  • Michael Pittman Jr. Has Solid Showing On Sunday

    Headshot for Michael Pittman

Indianapolis Colts wide receiver Michael Pittman Jr. looked fantastic during the Week 1 loss to Jacksonville. The wideout was targeted 11 times on the day, hauling in eight catches for 97 yards. He also scored, finding the end zone off a 39-yard pass from Anthony Richardson in the third quarter. Many were down on Pittman entering the season, especially with a rookie under center. While fantasy managers shouldn't routinely expect this type of production from the 25-year-old, he may be better than expected throughout the 2023-24 campaign.

  • Michael Pittman Jr. A Low-End WR2 For Opener

    Headshot for Michael Pittman

Indianapolis Colts wide receiver Michael Pittman Jr. is the unquestioned No. 1 option for this team heading into the season opener. Pittman has 270 targets over the last two seasons, so there's no question he'll get the ball thrown his way. It's more about the quality of the pass than the quantity here. Rookie quarterback Anthony Richardson will be making his first career start on Sunday. He has struggled with accuracy in the preseason, which is concerning heading into the season opener versus the Jacksonville Jaguars. The hope is that duo will be able to quickly build chemistry together. For now, Pittman should be considered a low-end WR2 heading into Week 1.

  • Offseason In Review: Indianapolis Colts

    Headshot for Mo Alie-Cox

The Colts’ stunning 2021 season-ender in Jacksonville seems does not exactly seem like it occurred 20 months ago. So much has changed since. Although the batch of Pro Bowlers (minus one well-documented exception) from that talented team remains ahead of the 2023 season, they have observed a chaotic overhaul in the time since that crushing […]

  • Michael Pittman Jr. Not Concerned About Contract

    Headshot for Michael Pittman

Indianapolis Colts wide receiver Michael Pittman Jr. isn't worried about a contract extension. He also intends to be on the field, even if he doesn't get a new contract. "Do I expect it? I don't really expect nothing really," Pittman stated. "If it happens, it happens. And if it doesn't happen, then yeah, I would play it out without an extension." The 25-year-old has appeared in 46 games for the Colts since being drafted in 2020. He has 227 receptions for 2,510 yards and 11 touchdowns during his career, doing so without a stable signal-caller. Pittman has already proven to be a 1,000-yard wideout, so his continued success will hinge on how fast he develops a rapport with quarterbacks Anthony Richardson and Gardner Minshew.

  • Michael Pittman Jr. Back At Practice Wednesday

    Headshot for Michael Pittman

Indianapolis Colts wide receiver Michael Pittman Jr. (hip) was at Wednesday's training camp practice and was working with the first-team offense. Pittman missed workouts in the spring due to a hip injury, and the Colts said on Tuesday that they plan to ease him into practice this summer. It's a good sign that the 25-year-old is already practicing this early in training camp, and he said he's feeling 100 percent healthy. Barring some kind of setback, Pittman should be full-go for Week 1 of the regular season. In 2023, he'll be taking throws from a combination of quarterbacks Gardner Minshew and Anthony Richardson as Indy's unquestioned No. 1 wideout. Pittman has a solid floor as a WR3 in fantasy.

  • Colts Easing Michael Pittman Jr. Into Training Camp

    Headshot for Michael Pittman

The Indianapolis Colts are going to ease wide receiver Michael Pittman Jr. (hip) into training camp after he had offseason hip surgery. Pittman said he's completely over the injury, but the Colts just want to be extra cautious in bringing him back into the fold. Unless Pittman suffers a setback with his hip in practice or the preseason, he should be 100 percent healthy by the time Week 1 rolls around. The 25-year-old former second-rounder came short of the 1,000-yard mark in 2022, but his target load was encouraging while he dealt with poor play at the quarterback position. Pittman could do plenty of damage with quarterback Gardner Minshew throwing him passes, but rookie Anthony Richardson is likely to get a chance eventually. Target Pittman as a WR3 in fantasy.
