Terry McLaurin A Low-End WR2 In Week 4

Washington Commanders wide receiver Terry McLaurin is hoping to break out after an okay performance in Week 3. The Commanders are heading on the road to take on the Philadelphia Eagles in Week 4. The Eagles are heavy favorites as Washington is listed as an 8.5-point underdog. With that in mind, there should be many pass attempts to go around as the Commanders are projected to be in a negative game script. So, while the pass attempts from quarterback Sam Howell might not be the highest quality, the sheer volume needed to keep up with the Eagles might work in McLaurin's favor. Consider him a low-end WR2 in Week 4.

Terry McLaurin Leads Washington In Receptions

Washington Commanders wide receiver Terry McLaurin caught all six of his targets for 41 yards in Sunday's loss to the Buffalo Bills. In a dreadful outing for the Commanders, McLaurin acted as Sam Howell's security blanket. While leading Washington wideouts with six targets, he appeared to be the only one with at least some actual success. The final score leaves much to be desired for Washington, but there appears to be a solid connection building between their second-year quarterback and their veteran receiver. Hopefully, McLaurin can build upon this outing in Week 4 against the Philadelphia Eagles.

Terry McLaurin Aiming To Build Off Solid Performance

Washington Commanders wide receiver Terry McLaurin is coming off a nice outing in Week 2 against the Denver Broncos. Now in Week 3, the Commanders are taking on the Buffalo Bills at home. The Bills are a tough matchup, but it could be made even more challenging due to the incoming weather. According to reports, the D.C. area will likely be hit by heavy rain and wind gusts this coming Sunday. With that in mind, McLaurin may be a very risky play due to the weather severely impacting a team's ability to pass the ball. However, if the weather remains calm, he should be considered a low-end WR2. Monitor the weather reports before trusting him in Week 3.

Terry McLaurin Hauls In Deep Touchdown Against Broncos

Washington Commanders wide receiver Terry McLaurin caught five-of-six targets for 54 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's win over the Denver Broncos. While there were plenty of concerns about the veteran receiver taking on a tough Broncos secondary, he fought through it with a solid outing. McLaurin's most memorable moment came when he caught a 30-yard touchdown in the third quarter to tie the game at 21. It was a nice outing that he'll hopefully be able to carry over into Washington's Week 3 matchup with the Buffalo Bills.

Terry McLaurin - Week 2 Outlook for Fantasy Football

Washington Commanders wide receiver Terry McLaurin is facing a tough matchup in Week 2. The Commanders are taking on the Denver Broncos, and unfortunately for McLaurin, that comes with the tall task of facing off against All-Pro cornerback Patrick Surtain II. In his short career, Surtain has gained a reputation for being a shutdown corner. Coming off of a performance where he allowed just two receptions to star wide receiver Davante Adams, McLaurin might have his hands full. With his mediocre performance in Week 1, and now the tough opponent, the veteran receiver is looking like a low-upside WR3 in Week 2.

Terry McLaurin Hauls In Just Two Receptions

Washington Commanders wide receiver Terry McLaurin caught two-of-four targets for 31 yards in Sunday's win over the Arizona Cardinals. After being listed with a toe injury that could've kept him out of Week 1, the veteran receiver was able to show up for Washington's first matchup. However, despite his presence, it was an uneventful day for McLaurin and the rest of the Washington offense. Hopefully, he can see some better production because this was a very disappointing output, especially against the lowly Cardinals. We'll see if the former Buckeye can put together a better day against the Denver Broncos in Week 2.

Terry McLaurin Cleared To Play Week 1

Washington Commanders wide receiver Terry McLaurin (toe) practiced in full for the second consecutive day and has been removed from the injury report. He will play in Week 1 against the Arizona Cardinals. Given Arizona's lackluster expectations heading into the season, Washington has a chance to put up some major production on Sunday, and McLaurin is no exception. He should be started as a strong WR2 in fantasy football.

Terry McLaurin Practices In Full

Washington Commanders wide receiver Terry McLaurin (toe) practiced in full on Thursday. The wideout injured his toe during the preseason, and his availability for the Week 1 opener against the Cardinals has been up in the air ever since. Assuming he doesn't suffer any setbacks, McLaurin will likely suit up on Sunday and should be starting in all fantasy formats. On the other hand, Jahan Dotson, Curtis Samuel, and Antonio Gibson could be more involved on the offensive end if he doesn't play.

Terry McLaurin Suits Up For Practice Wednesday

Washington Commanders wide receiver Terry McLaurin (toe) is dressed for practice on Wednesday after suffering a turf toe injury in the team's preseason win over the Baltimore Ravens on August 21. The Pro Bowl wideout's chances to play in Week 1 against the Arizona Cardinals are looking more likely. If he plays in the season-opener on Sunday, he could be at risk of being ineffective while dealing with the ailment. That said, Arizona is projected to be one of the worst teams in the NFL this season, so it could be a breakout game for the Commanders offense. If he's inactive, Jahan Dotson and Curtis Samuel will become attractive flex options.

Optimism Surrounding The Health Of Terry McLaurin

Washington Commanders wide receiver Terry McLaurin (toe) has responded well to work as he recovers from a turf toe injury. According to Jonathan Jones, there's optimism that the Pro Bowl wideout can suit up in Week 1 against the Arizona Cardinals. He suffered the injury during the team's second preseason game. The team will release an injury report today and McLaurin will likely receive a questionable designation. The 27-year-old is a must-start when fully healthy. Jahan Dotson will serve as the top receiving option for Sam Howell and Co. if McLaurin is unable to play.

Terry McLaurin's Status Still Uncertain For Week 1

Washington Commanders wide receiver Terry McLaurin (toe) is progressing in his recovery from turf toe and is considered day-to-day, according to sources. There is hope that he can play in the Week 1 regular season opener against the Arizona Cardinals, but his status remains uncertain. We should have a better idea of McLaurin's availability for this Sunday's contest once the team begins releasing injury reports on Wednesday. A must-start fantasy weapon when he's fully healthy, McLaurin could have his snaps limited against Arizona if he's active, which could cause him to let his fantasy managers down if he plays. Jahan Dotson would likely operate as Washington's top wideout if McLaurin is limited or out this Sunday.

Offseason In Review: Washington Commanders

The Commanders’ roster moves did not receive too much attention this offseason. Dan Snyder‘s prolonged exit overshadowed his former team’s football matters. The Snyder-to-Josh Harris transfer represents the most important storyline involving this franchise this century. Without the historically unpopular owner, the once-respected organization can begin to pick up the pieces. As the team does […]

Washington Commanders wide receiver Terry McLaurin and quarterback Sam Howell have built some solid chemistry this summer. The Athletic's Ben Standig doesn't think that fantasy managers should be too worried that McLaurin won't be able to extend his streak of 1,000-yard receiving seasons to four just because Howell has only completed 11 NFL passes. McLaurin has made plenty of plays despite a rotating crew of QBs. And what Howell lacks in experience, he makes up for with a strong arm, mobility and poise. Washington's offensive line is a concern, but Standig believes Howell will do enough to keep McLaurin in the WR1 range in fantasy in 2023. McLaurin sprained his toe in the preseason finale earlier this week, but the team is optimistic he'll be ready to roll in Week 1.

Terry McLaurin Uncertain For Week 1

The Washington Commanders have expressed optimism about the status of wide receiver Terry McLaurin (toe), who suffered a turf-toe injury in the preseason game on Monday night against the Baltimore Ravens, but he is uncertain for the regular-season opener against the Arizona Cardinals, according to sources. McLaurin will work to be ready for Week 1, but it's too early to say if he'll be active to kick off the season. His injury is typically a multiple-week injury. Dyami Brown would enter three-receiver sets to open the year if McLaurin isn't able to go against the Cardinals. It's not what fantasy managers want hanging over McLaurin with many drafts in the coming weeks, but he should still be considered at least a low-end WR2 as Washington's top wideout when healthy.

Terry McLaurin Day-To-Day With Toe Injury

Washington Commanders wide receiver Terry McLaurin (toe) left Monday's preseason game against the Baltimore Ravens with a toe injury. His injury has been revealed to be a turf toe, but the team is optimistic he'll be ready to go for Week 1 against the Arizona Cardinals, according to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport. It's never fun to see a fantasy football stud suffer an injury before the regular season begins, but McLaurin avoided a serious ailment and should not fall much in upcoming fantasy drafts. The Commanders' offense has a wide range of outcomes in 2023, but he should continue to produce fantasy WR2 production.

Terry McLaurin Dealing With Turf Toe

Washington Commanders wide receiver Terry McLaurin (toe) is believed to be dealing with a toe sprain on his right foot on the initial diagnosis, according to sources. Also known as turf toe, the injury from Monday night's preseason game against the Baltimore Ravens is not thought to be overly serious, but McLaurin will have an MRI exam on Tuesday to determine the full extent. Depending on the results of the 27-year-old's MRI exam, he could be forced to miss the start of the regular season in a few weeks. McLaurin is Washington's unquestioned wideout with WR2 appeal in fantasy leagues, even with quarterback Sam Howell entering his first year as the starter under center in D.C. If McLaurin is forced to miss the start of the season, impressive second-year wideout Jahan Dotson would operate as the team's WR1.

Terry McLaurin Records Three Receptions Before Exiting With Injury

Washington Commanders wide receiver Terry McLaurin (toe) caught all three of his targets for 39 yards in Monday's win over the Baltimore Ravens. After being relatively quiet in Washington's first preseason game, the veteran receiver made some big plays this time around. While showcasing his impressive route-running, McLaurin was a solid weapon for quarterback Sam Howell to latch onto during the first half. Unfortunately, the 27-year-old exited the game in the second quarter with an injury that is believed to be turf toe. His health is a development to monitor, but he still holds strong upside in 2023 with this new Washington offense.

Terry McLaurin Won't Return On Monday

Washington Commanders wide receiver Terry McLaurin (toe) left Monday night's preseason game due to a toe injury and will not return. X-rays came back negative so it seems the star receiver may have dodged a serious injury. For now, the team will wait to see how long he'll need to be sidelined and would likely miss their last remaining preseason contest. If not for the injury, then for precautionary reasons. McLaurin is set to be the number-one receiver on the team again and looking to break into the top 20 at his position.

Terry McLaurin Heads To Locker Room On Monday Night

Washington Commanders wide receiver Terry McLaurin left the team's preseason game on Monday night in the second quarter and headed into the locker room. His injury is unclear at the moment, but he came off the field hobbling and threw his shoe in frustration before being checked out by the trainers. The encouraging news is that he was able to walk under his own power off the field and didn't show too much of a limp at the time.

Terry McLaurin Developing Chemistry With Sam Howell

Washington Commanders fifth-year wide receiver Terry McLaurin is building more chemistry with quarterback Sam Howell in training camp this summer. "It's going well," McLaurin said. "He's gonna give guys a chance to make the play down the field, and he throws a really nice deep ball. So, he's growing. I like how he's doing and how he's communicating with us as well. I think one thing that strikes me with him is we have a nuanced connection." Howell already has a good feel for throwing the ball downfield, and McLaurin is one of the better contested pass-catchers in the league. The 27-year-old McLaurin has the skills to become a WR1 finally in fantasy, but it will all depend on how Howell handles his second year in the NFL.
