  • Kyler Murray Should Flourish In Week 7

Arizona Cardinals quarterback Kyler Murray has been a bit inconsistent with his passing this year, but he's still managing to consistently get the ball in the end zone. He has 10 passing touchdowns and six rushing touchdowns through six games. This week, Murray and the Cardinals face a Seattle Seahawks Defense that ranks dead last in the league in pass defense, allowing 370.4 passing yards per game. Expect to see something of a shootout in this game with Murray putting up solid yardage both on the ground and through the air. He could certainly be in line for his biggest fantasy output of the year so far this week.

  • Kyler Murray Hard To Contain In The Red Zone

Arizona Cardinals quarterback Kyler Murray has used his legs and arm effectively in the red zone so far this year, completing 18 of 22 red-zone passing attempts for 109 yards and eight touchdowns. He hasn't thrown an interception inside the 20-yard line and has posted the fourth-highest red-zone passer rating in the league at 126.9. On the ground, Murray has four rushing touchdowns inside the red zone on 66 yards (6.0 yards per carry) and an 81.8 percent success rate. The 5-foot-10, 207-pounder has a pair of red-zone touchdowns when eight or more defenders have been in the box. Murray threw for just 188 yards in Week 6 against Dallas, but he still had three touchdowns and will remain a must-start, high-end QB1 in Week 7 against a Seahawks Defense that has allowed the second-most fantasy points per game to quarterbacks.

  • Kyler Murray Goes For Three Touchdowns In Week 6

Arizona Cardinals quarterback Kyler Murray had a rough overall game despite the team's 38-10 win over the Dallas Cowboys in Week 6. Luckily, it still turned out to be a decent fantasy day. Murray completed just nine of his 24 passes for 188 yards and two touchdowns. He also added 74 rushing yards and a rushing touchdown. It was his first game of the year without a turnover, which is certainly encouraging, but he's now been held under 200 passing yards in two of his past three games. With 370 rushing yards and six rushing touchdowns on the year, he's definitely doing enough to remain a no doubt QB1 in all formats, but it's been a shakier start to the season than fantasy owners were hoping to see from the second-year pro.

  • Kyler Murray In Position For Strong Week 6 Performance

Arizona Cardinals quarterback Kyler Murray should be in line for a big game in Week 6 against the Dallas Cowboys. Through five games this year, Murray has 296 rushing yards and five rushing touchdowns. The Cowboys, meanwhile, have one of the league's worst rushing defenses, allowing 155.8 rushing yards per game. On top of that, the Cowboys are also leading the league in points-allowed per game at 36. Murray threw for a career-high 380 passing yards in Week 5. He should be able to produce both on the ground and through the air in Week 6. Start him with confidence as a QB1 this week.

  • Kyler Murray Throws For 380 Yards In Week 5

Arizona Cardinals quarterback Kyler Murray completed 27 of 37 passes for a career-high 380 passing yards in Week 5 against the New York Jets. It was the first time this year that Murray topped 300 passing yards in a game. He also had a passing touchdown and an interception. On the ground, Murray added 31 rushing yards and a rushing touchdown. It's certainly good to see Murray air it out the way he did this week. It was the first game this year that Murray didn't reach three touchdowns in a game, but overall it was an encouraging performance.

  • Kyler Murray Set Up For Solid Week 5 Performance

Arizona Cardinals quarterback Kyler Murray has had a bit of an underwhelming start to the season, despite compiling 11 total touchdowns and 265 rushing yards through four games. He's thrown seven interceptions and in Week 4, he managed just 133 passing yards against the Carolina Panthers. This week, Murray and the Cardinals face a New York Jets team that has allowed 32.8 points per game this season, third most in the league. The Cardinals have lost two straight games and desperately need to get back in the win column this week. Expect Murray to be locked in for the game and to lean heavily on star receiver DeAndre Hopkins. He should be able to compile around 350 total yards or more with a chance to score three or four touchdowns.

  • Kyler Murray Struggles, But Scores Three Touchdowns

Arizona Cardinals quarterback Kyler Murray had a rough game in Week 4 against the Carolina Panthers, but his fantasy day still ended up decent. Murray completed 24 of 31 passes for just 133 yards, but he had three passing touchdowns and no interceptions. His only turnover was a lost fumble. He also added 78 rushing yards. The 133 passing yards were by far the lowest Murray has managed this season. He was held under 150 passing yards only twice over the course of his rookie season last year. Murray and the Cardinals face the New York Jets next week, so he should be in a good position to bounce back strong.

  • Kyler Murray A Strong QB1 In Week 4

Arizona Cardinals quarterback Kyler Murray threw three interceptions in Week 3 against the Detroit Lions, which significantly hampered his otherwise solid fantasy day. Murray has compiled three touchdowns in each of his past two games and has 187 rushing yards on the year. In Week 4, he'll face a Carolina Panthers Defense that has allowed over 30 points in two of three games so far this year. Murray's top weapon DeAndre Hopkins (ankle) is currently questionable for the game. If Hopkins sits, Murray's upside doesn't change a ton. It might just force Murray to run more, which is always good news for fantasy purposes. Start Murray with confidence and expect to see multiple touchdowns and fewer turnovers than Week 3.

  • Kyler Murray Has Mixed Performance In Week 3

Arizona Cardinals quarterback Kyler Murray struggled in his team's Week 3 loss to the Detroit Lions, but his fantasy day ended up decent overall regardless. Murray completed 23 of 35 passes for 270 yards and two touchdowns, but he also threw three interceptions. He had a rushing touchdown in the game, but his 29 rushing yards were distantly a season-low. He had a total of 158 rushing yards over his previous two games. It was a decent, but overall underwhelming fantasy day for Murray given the favorable matchup. He has another good matchup next week, against the Carolina Panthers, so look for him to bounce back.

  • Kyler Murray Should Flourish Against Lions In Week 3

Arizona Cardinals quarterback Kyler Murray has a fantastic Week 3 matchup against the Detroit Lions. Last week, the Lions surrendered 42 points to the Green Bay Packers. The week before that, Mitchell Trubisky tore the Lions' defense apart in a dominant, 21-point fourth quarter. Expect to see Murray rack up a ton of yards both on the ground and through the air in Week 3. He scored three touchdowns last week and has a good chance to do the same this week. Hopefully, he can make it out of Week 3 without any turnovers, something he's failed to do in his two previous games. Start him with confidence as a high-end QB1.

  • Kyler Murray Tallies Three Touchdowns In Week 2

Arizona Cardinals quarterback Kyler Murray completed 26 of 38 passes for 286 yards, one touchdown and one interception and added 67 rushing yards and two rushing touchdowns in Week 2 against the Washington Football Team. Murray now has 156 rushing yards and three rushing touchdowns over two games, in addition to solid passing numbers. If he keeps these rushing numbers up, he's easily going to be one of the top quarterbacks in fantasy this season. He'll look to stay hot in Week 3 when the team hosts the Detroit Lions.

  • Kyler Murray Set For Big Week 2 Performance

Arizona Cardinals quarterback Kyler Murray had a fantastic Week 1 in his team's win over the San Francisco 49ers, throwing for 230 passing yards while adding a team-high 91 rushing yards. He had both a passing touchdown and a rushing touchdown in the game. Expect for him to improve upon those numbers in Week 2 as the Cardinals host the Washington Football Team. Murray had great chemistry with new No. 1 receiver DeAndre Hopkins in Week 1, connecting with Hopkins on 14 of 16 pass attempts for 151 yards. Murray should keep that connection going strong in Week 2 and also give his fantasy line a big boost with his running once again. Start him with confidence as a high-end QB1 in Week 2.

  • Kyler Murray Throws For 230 Yards, Rushes For 91

Arizona Cardinals quarterback Kyler Murray had a solid all-around game in Week 1 against the San Francisco 49ers, leading his team to victory 24-20. Murray completed 26 of 40 passes for 230 yards, one touchdown and one interception and also rushed 13 times for 91 yards and a score. Murray only topped 90 rushing yards in a game once all of last year and he never reached 13 rushing attempts in a game. So his rushing numbers from Week 1 appear to be a promising sign of things to come. He also connected with his new No. 1 receiver DeAndre Hopkins on 14 of 16 targets for 151, which is similarly promising for his rest-of-season outlook.

  • Kyler Murray Faces Tough Week 1 Matchup

Arizona Cardinals quarterback Kyler Murray is in an exciting place entering his second NFL season. He has the potential to break into the top tier of quarterbacks and deliver an elite fantasy season. However, he faces a tough challenge in Week 1 against a San Francisco 49ers Defense that was one of the league's best last year. The 49ers were first in the league in pass defense in 2019, allowing just 169.2 passing yards per game. They were also second in overall defense, allowing an average of 281.8 total yards from scrimmage per game. Murray has the type of elite potential that can overcome the toughest of matchups, but don't be alarmed if he has a slightly underwhelming 2020 debut.

  • Kyler Murray Could Be Elite In 2020

Arizona Cardinals quarterback Kyler Murray had a phenomenal rookie season in 2019, throwing for 3,722 yards with 20 touchdowns and 12 interceptions while adding 544 rushing yards and four rushing touchdowns. If he's able to take a step forward this year, we could see him make a jump into the elite fantasy quarterback tier. The Cardinals were fourth in the league in pace of play last year, something that bodes extremely well for fantasy production. Head coach Kliff Kingsbury and Murray should continue to push the pace this season. Murray can also increase his efficiency in the red zone in 2020. He threw just 12 touchdown passes in the red zone over 74 red zone attempts last season. Draft Murray after the first tier of quarterbacks are taken and you might end up with a quarterback who is just as effective as the elite group, but at a lower price.

  • Kyler Murray Should Be More Efficient In Second Season

Arizona Cardinals quarterback Kyler Murray and the offense have been practicing at warp speed in training camp. The up-tempo offense should force defensive coordinators to use vanilla schemes, which should allow Murray to play in attack mode while easily identifying and exploiting basic blitzes and coverage. In turn, it should make the 2019 Offensive Rookie of the Year more efficient. It also helps that he'll have All-Pro DeAndre Hopkins as his new No. 1 receiver. Murray threw for over 3,700 yards and ran for over 500 yards in his rookie season behind a porous offensive line. In just his second season, the 23-year-old is a top-five fantasy QB in head coach Kliff Kingsbury's up-tempo and aggressive offense.

  • Kliff Kingsbury's Offense Operating Extremely Fast

Arizona Cardinals head coach Kliff Kingsbury's no-huddle offense has been operating at warp speed the last few days of training camp. "Boy, its crazy fast," defensive lineman Jordan Phillips lamented. "Kliff has them doing stuff thats going to give anybody problems." Kingsbury has been trying to push the boundaries of speed for the offense during practices. While it's great practice for quarterback Kyler Murray and the offense, it's also testing the defense. We already knew Kingsbury's offense was fast, but they are taking it to new levels in training camp. It's good for every skill player involved on offense, but we'd like to see DeAndre Hopkins and Kenyan Drake get back out there sooner rather than later.

  • Kyler Murray Could Be Running More This Year

Arizona Cardinals quarterback Kyler Murray had 93 rushing attempts for 544 yards and four touchdowns last year. Recent updates out of Arizona suggest that those numbers could go up in 2020. Head coach Kliff Kingsbury spoke glowingly of Murray's rushing abilities and their effects on the offense in a recent interview, saying "When he takes off, he can be electric, he can get us going and he can make big plays with his feet." Kingsbury spoke of the importance of avoiding third-and-long plays this year, suggesting that Murray's rushing could help the team keep drives going. If you needed another reason to get excited about drafting Murray this year, here you are. He's got extremely high upside and could potentially take that leap into the top tier of quarterbacks this year, especially if he indeed continues to run more.

  • DeAndre Hopkins Developing Chemistry With Kyler Murray

Arizona Cardinals wide receiver DeAndre Hopkins has had nothing but good things to say about his new quarterback Kyler Murray. Hopkins raved about Murray's arm in a conference call earlier this month. More recently, in an interview with Bob McManaman of the Arizona Republic, Hopkins said that he expects to become "best friends" with Murray and have chemistry and constant communication with his new quarterback both on and off the field. A video of Murray and Hopkins connecting on a deep ball at camp has been making its way through the internet this weekend. Expect Hopkins to have a big year in the exciting Murray-led Cardinals offense.

  • Kyler Murray Looking To Spread The Ball In 2020

In a recent interview, Arizona Cardinals quarterback Kyler Murray gave ESPN's Josh Weinfuss a bit of insight to his vision for this upcoming season. Weinfuss asked Murray if he could see wide receivers Larry Fitzgerald, DeAndre Hopkins and Christian Kirk all reaching 1,000 yards this year and Murray replied "Oh, yeah for sure. I definitely think that's possible." There's certainly no doubt that Murray has a fantastic arsenal of receivers this year with the addition of Hopkins. Last year, without Hopkins, Murray had an exceptional rookie year, throwing for 3,722 yards with 20 touchdowns and 12 interceptions. He completed 64.4% of his passes and also rushed for 544 yards and four touchdowns. He could very well top those impressive numbers this year and secure his place amongst the top-tier of fantasy quarterbacks.

  • Kyler Murray To Win MVP This Season?

Arizona Cardinals quarterback Kyler Murray is slated to take the next step in his career in 2020 and has plenty of hype surrounding him as a result. However, another advocate may have raised the ceiling even higher for the sophomore signal-caller. While making an appearance on ESPN's Get Up, former NFL defensive end Marcus Spears believes that not only will Murray be a finalist in MVP voting in 2020, he will also throw for 4,500 yards. With DeAndre Hopkins now in the mix after being dealt from the Houston Texans during the offseason, the 22-year-old could be well on his way to meeting those expectations. He will likely be one of the top five quarterbacks off the board in most fantasy drafts for the upcoming season, and rightfully so.
