  • Kyler Murray Won't Require Surgery

Arizona Cardinals quarterback Kyler Murray (ankle) will not need surgery on the ankle injury that he suffered in the Week 17 loss to the Rams, but he is still feeling sore, according to head coach Kliff Kingsbury. Murray had to leave the regular season finale on Sunday in the first quarter and finished 8-for-11 for 87 yards while running the ball only two times for three yards in the 18-7 loss. The second-year signal-caller also battled through a shoulder injury in the second half of the season, which slowed him down. The 23-year-old finished the 2020 campaign with 3,971 yards, 26 touchdowns and 12 interceptions on 558 attempts while adding 133 carries for 819 yards and an additional 11 touchdowns on the ground. Despite the disappointing finish, Murray is an athletic and explosive dual-threat QB that will once again have high-end QB1 value heading into the 2021 season.

  • Kyler Murray Sees Limited Action In Week 17

Arizona Cardinals quarterback Kyler Murray (ankle) left Sunday's game against the Los Angeles Rams early in the first quarter after suffering an injury to his right ankle. Backup quarterback Chris Streveler took over for the next two-plus quarters before Murray returned to start the fourth quarter. As a result, Murray ended up with a quiet stat-line. He completed eight of 11 passes for 87 yards and he rushed for just three yards. He was unable to score in the game. Murray had a strong fantasy season overall, despite an uneven performance down the stretch. He had 819 rushing yards and 11 rushing touchdowns on the year. He should be one of the first quarterbacks drafted in fantasy leagues next year after Patrick Mahomes and Aaron Rodgers are off the board.

  • Kyler Murray Returns To Field For 4th Quarter Sunday

Arizona Cardinals quarterback Kyler Murray (leg/ankle) got back onto the field for the fourth quarter of Sunday's contest versus the Rams. Murray left back in the first due to a leg/ankle ailment and was favoring the injured body part during his first handful of snaps back on the field. Without Murray under center, Arizona turned to Chris Streveler at QB, who went 9-for-13 for 77 yards with one touchdown and one interception. The Cardinals need a victory Sunday to advance to the postseason, although if Murray is able to pitch a comeback, fantasy managers will want to monitor his injury status closely.

  • Kyler Murray Heads To Locker Room

Arizona Cardinals quarterback Kyler Murray (leg) was taken to the locker room in the first quarter of this week's game against the Los Angeles Rams. Murray suffered a leg injury and was replaced in the game by backup quarterback Chris Streveler. Murray completed one of his two passes for seven yards and also had a seven-yard rush before the injury. His return should be considered questionable at this point. While he's out, all Cardinals offensive players, namely DeAndre Hopkins and Kenyan Drake, are likely to see their production take a hit.

  • Kyler Murray A Low-End Starting Option In Week 17

Arizona Cardinals quarterback Kyler Murray has been extremely inconsistent over the past month. In Week 17, Murray and the Cardinals face the Los Angeles Rams, who have the league's top pass defense, allowing just 192.3 passing yards per game. Murray threw three touchdown passes in his first game against the Rams in Week 13, but he completed just 21 of 39 passes for 173 yards in the game. This week, we might see a similar yardage output without as many touchdowns, making him a low-end starting option. DeAndre Hopkins (hip) is currently questionable for the game. If Hopkins sits, Murray needs to be avoided.

  • Kyler Murray Uncertain For Week 17

Arizona Cardinals head coach Kliff Kingsbury said that quarterback Kyler Murray (leg) has a "lower-leg injury" and his status for Week 17 against the division-rival Rams is in question. Murray was leg-whipped on the final play of the game on Saturday in the loss to the 49ers. He was just 31-for-50 for 247 yards, no touchdowns and an interception in the loss to San Francisco, adding 75 rushing yards on eight attempts. Things won't get any easier in Week 17 in a must-win game if Murray plays, as he'll face a Rams Defense that has been extremely tough on quarterbacks all year long. Keep a close eye on Murray's practice status throughout the week. If he can't go, it'll be either Chris Streveler or Brett Hundley under center, which would be a big downgrade for all Cardinals pass-catchers in an already tough matchup.

  • Kyler Murray Unable To Score Touchdown In Week 16

Arizona Cardinals quarterback Kyler Murray completed 31 of his 50 passes for 247 yards and an interception and added 75 rushing yards in Week 16 against the San Francisco 49ers. His yardage totals were satisfying and he only turned the ball over once, but his inability to score a single touchdown led to a very disappointing fantasy day for Murray. The Cardinals only managed 12 total points in the game and they didn't score their first touchdown until the fourth quarter. This was only the second time this year that Murray failed to score a touchdown. Murray was shaken up on a hit on his last play of the game but should be OK, according to a source. He was leg-whipped by a defender, but it didn't appear to be serious. The second-year QB should be able to play in Week 17 against the Rams.

  • Kyler Murray Can Deliver In Championship Week

Arizona Cardinals quarterback Kyler Murray has struggled over the past month on the whole, but luckily he's coming off his best game in quite a while. Murray threw for 406 yards and three touchdowns while adding 29 rushing yards and a rushing touchdown in Week 15 against the Philadelphia Eagles. In Week 16, Murray and the Cardinals face the San Francisco 49ers, who were just trounced by the Dallas Cowboys. Murray has shown some of his downside risk over the past month. He was held under 200 passing yards in both Week 12 and Week 13 and his rushing numbers over the second half of the year have been far inferior to his phenomenal rushing numbers early in the year. However, he's got a good chance to deliver this week and follow-up on last week's strong outing. He's worth trusting as a QB1 in championship week. Expect for him to score two or three total touchdowns and put up solid passing yardage.

  • Kyler Murray Is A Low-End QB1 In Week 15

Arizona Cardinals quarterback Kyler Murray has seen his fantasy value plummet over the past month or so. He was a no doubt QB1 over the bulk of the season, but lately he's become a lot more risky to trust. While his most recent outing against the New York Giants in Week 14 didn't inspire a ton of confidence (244 passing yards, one touchdown, 47 rushing yards), he rushed 13 times in the game, which tied for the second-most rushing attempts he's had all year. In Week 15, Murray and the Cardinals face the Philadelphia Eagles, who rank amongst the top 10 in the league in pass defense, but are vulnerable against the run, allowing 127.3 rushing yards per game. Murray is no longer a sure thing, must-start QB1, but he's still a fine starting option in Week 15 and should be able to compile around 300 total passing and rushing yards with a good chance to score two or more touchdowns.

  • Kyler Murray Throws For 244 Yards, Rushes For 47 Yards

Arizona Cardinals quarterback Kyler Murray played a solid overall game in Week 14 against the New York Giants, leading the Cardinals to a 26-7 victory. Unfortunately, it didn't amount to a very satisfying fantasy performance. Murray completed 24 of 35 passes for 244 yards and a touchdown and he also rushed for 47 yards. He didn't have a single turnover in the game and was only sacked once. The 47 rushing yards were the most he's managed since Week 10, which is encouraging to see. He'd also been held under 200 passing yards in his previous two games, so his 244 yards this week were a step in the right direction as well.

  • Start Kyler Murray As A QB1 In Week 14

It's been a rough stretch for Arizona Cardinals quarterback Kyler Murray. He has just 61 total rushing yards over his past three games and has failed to reach 200 passing yards in two straight. This week, Murray and the Cardinals face the New York Giants, who have a solid run defense, but are only average against the pass. The Cardinals should have Larry Fitzgerald (COVID) back in the lineup, which will give Murray a much-needed safety net in the short game. Murray should be started as a low-end QB1 this week. He has significant upside, but his recent struggles lower him to the back-end of the top-10 this week.

  • Kyler Murray Says Offense Is Close To Clicking

Arizona Cardinals quarterback Kyler Murray said the team's offense is "not far off" after dropping from first to sixth in total offense in the last two weeks. Their Week 13 loss to the Rams dropped the team to 6-6 and out of seventh for the final playoffs spot in the NFC. Murray isn't feeling the pressure and also said his right throwing shoulder is fine after tweaking it a few weeks ago. The second-year professional only threw for 173 yards in the loss to LA, but he did have three touchdowns. His shoulder injury has coincided with a drop in production, as he has thrown for under 200 yards both of the last two weeks. New York's defense, though, held Russell Wilson down a week ago and have allowed the fourth-fewest fantasy points per game to QBs. Murray remains a QB1, but he's more of a low-end one until he proves us wrong with the shoulder.

  • Kyler Murray Throws Three Touchdowns In Week 13

Arizona Cardinals quarterback Kyler Murray had a rough outing in Week 13 against the Los Angeles Rams, but it still amounted to a decent fantasy day regardless. Murray completed 21 of 39 passes for 173 yards, three touchdowns and one interception. He only rushed for 15 yards in the game and also fumbled twice, though only one was recovered by the Rams. Murray's had a tough stretch over his past three games, but this one was a bit understandable given the matchup. The Rams have been tough against most quarterbacks this year.

  • Kyler Murray A Full Practice Participant Thursday

Arizona Cardinals quarterback Kyler Murray (shoulder) was a full practice participant on Thursday. Murray injured his shoulder in the Week 11 loss to the Seahawks and played through it in last week's loss, but his production has dipped in the last two games. Is that a coincidence? Probably not. Murray didn't score a single touchdown in the Week 12 loss to the Patriots, but his return to a full practice could signal that he's past the nagging injury. The second-year QB was an MVP candidate before his recent disappointing performances, so you should still treat him as a QB1 for Week 13 in another tough draw against the Rams Defense. LA's D has allowed the fewest fantasy points per game to QBs, making Murray a DFS fade again this weekend.

  • Kyler Murray Should Remain A QB1 In Week 13

Arizona Cardinals quarterback Kyler Murray is coming off his two worst fantasy games of the year and two straight Cardinals losses as well. In Week 13, he faces a tough matchup against a Los Angeles Rams team that has been fantastic against the pass this year, allowing just 203.5 passing yards per game, the third-fewest in the league. Over the past two weeks combined, Murray has only 45 rushing yards and two total touchdowns. Despite the recent struggles, fantasy owners should stay confident in Murray, who is still having a fantastic fantasy year all around. He may not have a monster game in Week 13, but he should be able to bounce back from his previous two letdowns.

Dec 3 · Source via Cardinals Kyler Murray
  • Kyler Murray Still Dealing With Shoulder Injury

Arizona Cardinals quarterback Kyler Murray (shoulder) was a limited participant in practice on Wednesday. Murray tweaked his shoulder in the Week 11 loss to the Seahawks and failed to record a touchdown in last week's loss to the Patriots, throwing for just 170 yards. He also ran the ball a season-low five times for 31 yards. After carrying the ball double-digit times in Weeks 6-10, Murray has only 10 rushing attempts in his last two games. Is his injury causing him to run less? It looks like it, and he'll have another tough matchup with the Rams in Week 13. LA's defense has allowed the second-fewest fantasy points to QBs in the last five weeks. While the second-year signal-caller shouldn't be benched by his fantasy managers, he might underwhelm again if you're expecting high-end QB1 production.

  • Kyler Murray Fails To Score Touchdown In Rough Week 12 Outing

Arizona Cardinals quarterback Kyler Murray failed to score a touchdown for the first time this year in Week 12 against the New England Patriots. Murray completed 23 of his 34 passes for 170 yards and an interception and added 31 rushing yards in the game. Murray had been dealing with a right shoulder injury over the past week, so that could have contributed to his struggles. He'll look to bounce back in the Cardinals' Week 13 matchup against their division rivals, the Los Angeles Rams.

  • Kyler Murray Not On Final Injury Report

Arizona Cardinals quarterback Kyler Murray (shoulder) wasn't listed on the team's final injury report on Friday and will start in Week 12 against the Patriots. Murray was bothered by a shoulder injury in the Week 11 loss to the Seahawks last Thursday, but he played through it and was always expected to be available this weekend against New England despite being limited in practice this week. The second-year signal-caller might not be 100 percent on Sunday and may not look to run as much as he normally would, but he's still a top-five fantasy QB and needs to be in all fantasy lineups. He won't have veteran receiver Larry Fitzgerald due to COVID-19 and All-Pro cornerback Stephon Gilmore will likely be covering DeAndre Hopkins, but Murray's elite athleticism should allow him to overcome and put up QB1-worthy numbers.

  • Start Kyler Murray With Confidence In Week 12

Arizona Cardinals quarterback Kyler Murray (shoulder) has been limited in practice this week with a right shoulder injury. He is currently questionable for this Sunday's game against the New England Patriots, but the team seems optimistic that he'll be good to go. Murray had one of his weakest fantasy outputs of the year last time out against the Seattle Seahawks in Week 11 as he managed just 15 rushing yards and only two total touchdowns. Look for him to bounce back this week after a long rest. The Patriots rank amongst the middle of the pack in the league in both passing yards allowed and points allowed per game. Look for Murray to put up solid yardage totals both on the ground and in the air in the game while scoring at least three touchdowns.

  • Kyler Murray Expected To Play In Week 12

Arizona Cardinals general manager Steve Keim said that quarterback Kyler Murray (shoulder) is expected to play in Week 12 against the Patriots. Murray dealt with a shoulder issue in the Week 11 loss to the Seahawks, but he played through it and should be fine to go this Sunday. The second-year signal-caller said earlier in the week that his practice absence was precautionary and that he feels "fine." New England hasn't been the friendliest defense for opposing QBs and Murray won't have veteran wideout Larry Fitzgerald due to a positive COVID-19 test, but he's still a top-five fantasy quarterback this weekend. Those in DFS games might want to fade Murray if he doesn't run the ball as much because of the shoulder injury, however.

  • Kyler Murray, DeAndre Hopkins Still On Injury Report

Arizona Cardinals quarterback Kyler Murray (shoulder) was a limited practice participant on Wednesday, while wide receiver DeAndre Hopkins (illness) sat out. Murray suffered the shoulder injury in last Thursday's loss to the Seahawks, but he played through it and should be fine to face the Patriots in Week 12. Hopkins is dealing with a non-COVID-19-related illness, so he should also be fine to play Sunday. The All-Pro receiver has had some down games for his fantasy managers and will be facing a tough matchup with All-Pro cornerback Stephon Gilmore this weekend, but he's still a top-five fantasy option at his position. Similarly, Murray should be treated as a top-five fantasy signal-caller.

  • Kyler Murray, DeAndre Hopkins Sit Out Tuesday

Arizona Cardinals quarterback Kyler Murray (shoulder) was seen rehabbing on the side and not working during the period of practice open to the media on Tuesday. Wide receiver DeAndre Hopkins was also not present. Murray tweaked his shoulder in last week's loss to the Seahawks, but he played through it and should be fine for Week 12 against the Patriots. Hopkins is likely just being rested early in the week. Murray and Hopkins should be considered top-five options at their respective positions this week, although Hopkins will have a tough matchup with All-Pro cornerback Stephon Gilmore on Sunday. You might want to fade Nuk in DFS, but he's a must-start in all single-season formats.

  • Kyler Murray Throws Two Touchdowns In Week 11

Arizona Cardinals quarterback Kyler Murray had one of his more quiet games of the year in Week 11 against the Seattle Seahawks. Murray completed 29 of 42 passes for 269 yards and two touchdowns while adding 15 rushing yards. He didn't have a single turnover, which was good to see, but his 15 rushing yards were a season-low. He had at least 60 rushing yards plus a rushing touchdown in each of his previous four games. All in all, it wasn't a horrible fantasy week for Murray due to the two passing touchdowns, but it was still disappointing given Murray's lofty standards.

  • Kyler Murray Has Another Juicy Matchup Against Seattle

It hasn't mattered much who the opponent has been all season, as Arizona Cardinals quarterback Kyler Murray has been a high-end QB1 for fantasy owners more often than not. This week, he has a fantastic matchup against the league's worst pass defense in the Seattle Seahawks. When the teams previously met in Week 7, Murray threw for 360 yards, three touchdowns and one interception and added 67 rushing yards and a rushing touchdown. Expect a similar output in Week 11 as Murray guides the Cardinals through a likely shootout.

  • Kyler Murray Totals Three Touchdowns In Week 10 Win

Arizona Cardinals quarterback Kyler Murray led his team to victory in dramatic fashion in Week 10. Murray completed a 43-yard touchdown pass to DeAndre Hopkins in the final seconds of Sunday's game to seal a 32-30 win over the Buffalo Bills. In total, Murray completed 22 of his 32 passes for 245 yards, one touchdown and one interception. He also had 61 rushing yards and two rushing touchdowns. Murray's fantastic rushing numbers make him high-end QB1 on a weekly basis. Keep riding him going forward.

  • Kyler Murray Should Stay Hot In Week 10

Arizona Cardinals quarterback Kyler Murray was fantastic in Week 9, throwing for 283 yards and rushing for 106 while scoring four total touchdowns. This week, as the Cardinals face the Buffalo Bills, Murray should be able to continue having success both on the ground and through the air. He's averaging exactly two passing touchdowns and one rushing touchdown per game on the year and should hit that mark, if not exceed it, in what should be a high-scoring game this week. Start him with confidence as a high-end QB1 in Week 10.

  • Kyler Murray Tallies Four Touchdowns In Week 9

Arizona Cardinals quarterback Kyler Murray had one of his best fantasy performances of the year in Week 9 against the Miami Dolphins. Murray completed 21 of his 26 passes for 283 yards and three touchdowns. He also rushed for 106 yards and a touchdown. It was his first 100-yard rushing game of the year. It was also just the third time this year that he didn't throw an interception, however, he did lose a fumble in the game. Surprisingly, Murray was only able to connect with DeAndre Hopkins three times for 30 yards in the game. Christian Kirk was the team's top receiver with 123 receiving yards in the game. It was an extremely encouraging performance for Murray coming off the bye. Look for him to stay hot in Week 10 against the Buffalo Bills.

  • Start Kyler Murray With Confidence In Week 9

Arizona Cardinals quarterback Kyler Murray faces a potentially tough matchup against the Miami Dolphins in Week 9. The Dolphins are allowing just 18.6 points per game, which is first in the league. Murray and the Cardinals are coming off of a bye and the team is fully healthy at receiver. Murray has thrown for over 350 yards in two of his past three games and he's averaging about 62 rushing yards and exactly one rushing touchdown per game on the year. While Murray may not have one of his best games of the year in Week 9 if the Dolphins Defense has a strong showing, he should still manage a solid fantasy day. Start him with confidence as a no doubt QB1 with a decent floor and high upside.

  • Kyler Murray Shines On Sunday Night

Arizona Cardinals quarterback Kyler Murray took advantage of a fantastic matchup against a weak Seattle Seahawks secondary in Week 7. Murray completed 34 of 48 passes for 360 yards, three touchdowns and one interception. He also rushed for 67 yards and a touchdown. Murray has now through for over 350 yards in two of his past three games. However, he's been held under 200 passing yards in two of his past four. This week's game was Murray's best fantasy output of the year. It was the first time he scored four touchdowns in a game this year. He's a no doubt QB1 going forward and this week's performance was clear evidence that he can be a high-end QB1 when he is at his best.

  • Kyler Murray Should Flourish In Week 7

Arizona Cardinals quarterback Kyler Murray has been a bit inconsistent with his passing this year, but he's still managing to consistently get the ball in the end zone. He has 10 passing touchdowns and six rushing touchdowns through six games. This week, Murray and the Cardinals face a Seattle Seahawks Defense that ranks dead last in the league in pass defense, allowing 370.4 passing yards per game. Expect to see something of a shootout in this game with Murray putting up solid yardage both on the ground and through the air. He could certainly be in line for his biggest fantasy output of the year so far this week.
