Eddy Pineiro A Low-End Option In Week 3
Carolina Panthers kicker Eddy Pineiro has made all four of his field goals, including two from 50+ yards through his first two games of the season. He will look to stay perfect when he heads on the road to take on the Seattle Seahawks in Week 3. Pineiro draws a plus matchup against a Seattle defense that has had trouble stopping opposing offenses through the first two games of the season. Overall, they are allowing fantasy kickers to notch the seventh-most fantasy points per game thus far. Pineiro has a nice matchup but the Carolina offense hasn't been very efficient through two games which caps his upside.

Carolina Panthers kicker Eddy Pineiro made all three of his field goals in a 20-17 loss to the New Orleans Saints in Week 2. Pineiro showed off a big leg, making field goals from 52, 54, and 36 yards out in the close loss. The veteran kicker has now made all four of his field-goal tries and an extra point across two games in 2023. He will take on the Seattle Seahawks on the road in Week 3.

He will look to stay perfect in Week 2's home matchup against the New Orleans Saints on Monday night. The Saints were generous to fantasy kickers last year, allowing the 11th-most fantasy points per game to the position. That being said, the Panthers will have to show some more explosiveness on offense before fantasy gamers can feel comfortable plugging their kicker into their starting lineups.

Carolina Panthers kicker Eddy Pineiro (groin) has been absent from practice and preseason games while nursing a groin injury. However, Panthers head coach Frank Reich said he should be ready for Week 1 and might attempt short field goal tries in Friday's preseason finale against the Detroit Lions. Despite kicking for a team with a poor offense last season, Pineiro finished tied for sixth in total fantasy points at the position. That said, he could continue to be on the fantasy radar in 2023. Carolina's offense shouldn't be expected to be great, but it could stall near the red zone, leading to plenty of Pineiro field goal tries.

Carolina Panthers kicker Eddy Pineiro (groin) could miss some time in the preseason with a groin injury. As a result, the team added Matthew Wright after a pre-practice workout at training camp on Tuesday. In a corresponding move, the Panthers waived undrafted rookie offensive tackle BJ Wilson. As long as Pineiro doesn't suffer a setback, the 27-year-old should enter the 2023 season as Carolina's starting kicker. In 17 games with the Panthers in 2022, he missed just two of his 35 field-goal attempts while missing two of his 32 extra-point tries. In an offense set to be led by rookie quarterback Bryce Young this year, Pineiro should be off the fantasy radar in most leagues this fall.
