  • Rams DST A Solid Streaming Option In Week 11

The Los Angeles Rams defensive unit could have a good game against in Week 11, as they take on a struggling New Orleans Saints offense. The Saints have cooled down since a hot start. They have scored just 15.7 points per game in the past three games, seventh-fewest in the league. Saints QB Andy Dalton has thrown six interceptions in the past four games, helping make the Saints one of the worst teams in giveaways per game. The Rams are a solid streaming option this week.

  • Rams Defense Struggles In Loss

The Los Angeles Rams defense surrendered 298 yards to the Arizona Cardinals in the 27-17 loss in Week 10. The Rams forced zero turnovers and sacked backup quarterback Colt McCoy twice in the outing. The Rams defense has been disappointing in fantasy this season and should remain a matchup-dependent streaming option for the rest of the year.

  • Rams DST Makes No Takeaways

The Los Angeles Rams defensive unit held the Tampa Bay Buccaneers to 16 points and 331 total yards in a Week 9 loss. Bobby Wagner led the team in tackles with eight solo tackles and five assists. Ernest Jones and Jalen Ramsey also made six solo tackles. Aaron Donald made a sack. However, no Rams defender forced a fumble or made an interception. The lack of takeaways hurts the Rams DST as a fantasy unit.

  • Rams Defense Faces Disappointing Bucs Offense

The Rams defensive unit faces a Tampa Bay Buccaneers offense that has weapons but hasn't been able to get firing. While the Bucs star-studded lineup includes multiple All-Pros at quarterback and wide receiver, they are only scoring 18.3 point per game, 25th most in the league. If the Bucs continue to stumble, the Rams DST could score some points by keeping Tampa Bay to a low total, but they are unlikely to score many points on sacks or takeaways. Tom Brady is one of the best QBs at protecting the football. The Bucs are allowing the fewest interceptions and the fifth-fewest sacks per game.

  • Jimmy Garoppolo Facing Tough Rams Defense

San Francisco 49ers quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo leads the 14th-ranked Niners passing offense into Los Angeles for a rematch against the divisional-rival Rams, whom they blew out 24-9 in Week 4. The 30-year-old posted a QB21 finish that week, which was good for fantasy managers starting two QBs, as he threw for 239 yards, one touchdown and no interceptions. Since then, Garoppolo has improved his fantasy performances, finishing between QB7 and QB11 in each of the past three weeks. He has thrown for two touchdowns in each of the last three games, albeit against teams with weaker pass defenses than the Rams. The Rams are allowing the eighth-fewest passing yards per game. Garoppolo likely won't reach QB1 status again this week, but he's a solid choice in two-QB leagues.

  • Rams Defense Limits Panthers To One TD, Ramsey Makes Sack

The Los Angeles Rams defense and special teams unit held the Carolina Panthers to just 10 points, as the Rams won 24-10 in Week 6. Rams safety Nick Scott made an interception, and cornerback Jalen Ramsey and defensive end Marquise Copeland both made sacks. It was Ramsey's second-straight game making a sack, and he also had an additional tackle for a loss in the game. If this reflects a new usage as a pass rusher going forward, Ramsey could be intriguing as an IDP option in sack-heavy leagues. As a whole, though, the Rams DST did not put up many points in leagues that emphasize impact plays, and they will face stronger offenses in most games the rest of the season.

  • Rams Defense Top Option Week 6

The Los Angeles Rams defense and special teams unit is a smash play in Week 6 against the Carolina Panthers, one of the worst offenses in the NFL. The Panthers have scored less than 20 points in each of their past two games and three of their first five. They are without starting quarterback Baker Mayfield (ankle) and must start P.J. Walker, who has a 2:8 TD:INT ratio in his career. Given the likelihood for the Panthers to score few points and turn the ball over a couple of times, the Rams DST profiles as a top 12 start option.

  • Rams Defense Subpar Choice In Week 5

The Los Angeles Rams defense and special teams unit faces the Dallas Cowboys in Week 5. The Cowboys have scored over 20 points in each of the last three games. They have turned the ball over fewer times than any other team in the league, and they have allowed the tenth-fewest sacks. The Rams defense is top ten in generating turnovers this season, but they might not get as many chances against the Cowboys. Overall, the Rams DST is a subpar choice for streaming in Week 5.

  • Rams Defense Holds Cardinals To 12 Points

The Los Angeles Rams defense and special teams unit held the Arizona Cardinals to 12 points Week 3 in the Rams eight-point victory. The Rams sacked Arizona QB Kyler Murray twice and prevented the Cardinals from scoring a single touchdown. The Cardinals racked up 58 passing attempts, trying to spark something, but tough pass coverage by the Rams prevented the Cards from being very effective. Rams CB Jalen Ramsey made two pass defenses.

  • Rams Defense Has Tough Matchup In Week 3

The Los Angeles Rams defense and special teams unit have a tough matchup against the Arizona Cardinals Week 3. The Cardinals put up 20 or more points in each of their first two games. The Chiefs DST and Raiders DST both scored just three fantasy points against them, according to Fantasy Pros. Bookies and bettors think the Cardinals will go over 20 again this week. Cards QB Kyler Murray is not easy to sack. Ask Max Crosby and the Raiders defensive linemen who were chasing him around behind the line of scrimmage for 20 seconds before he slipped into the end zone for the crucial two-point conversion last week. Murray has only thrown one interception this season, and the Cardinals have not lost a fumble, so the Rams DST might not be able to make up for points allowed with big plays. Avoid streaming the Rams defense Week 3.

  • Rams Defense Generates Three Turnovers In Win

The Los Angeles Rams defense and special teams unit allowed 27 points to the Atlanta Falcons in a game the Rams ended up winning with 31 points Week 2. The Rams sacked Falcons QB Marcus Mariota three times, picked him off twice, and stripped him of the ball once. Linebackers Justin Hollins and Bobby Wagner, who has found more success blitzing opposing quarterbacks than he did in Seattle, both recorded sacks. Rookie cornerback Cobie Durant, in his first game playing defensive snaps, made a sack and an interception. As a whole, the Rams DST scored 9.85 points in the Rotoballer Challenge scoring system, which ranks fifth amongst all DSTs that played Thursday or Sunday.

  • Rams DST Faces Improved Falcons Offense

The Los Angeles Rams defensive and special teams unit faces the Atlanta Falcons this week in what could be a tough matchup. The Falcons offense didn't do much last season, but now they have a new QB who can run, Marcus Mariota, rookie WR Drake London, and record-setting TE Kyle Pitts entering his second year. Add in dual-threat RB Cordarrelle Patterson, and they looked good Week 1. The Falcons gained over 400 yards and scored 26 points on the Saints. The Saints defense allowed fewer yards and fewer points last season than the Rams defense did, so if the Falcons can do that to the Saints, they could do it to the Rams.
