  • Carolina DST Solid In Week 12 Victory

The Carolina Panthers defense/special teams held the Denver Broncos to just 10 points while recording three sacks and a fumble recovery in a Week 12 win. The Panthers' defense has been trending up in recent weeks and has proven to be a decent fantasy option in the right matchups. That said, it will be tough to trust Carolina in Week 14 against a Seattle Seahawks offense that is averaging over 25 points per game.

  • Panthers DST Hard To Trust Despite Solid Matchup

The Carolina Panthers defense/special teams will take on the Denver Broncos in Week 12. Denver currently ranks last in the league in points scored, but it is difficult to have faith in a Panthers defensive unit that is allowing over 357 yards per game. Fantasy managers should be able to find better DST options available this week and going forward.

  • Panthers Defense Steps Up In Week 11

The Carolina Panthers defense/special teams had a strong showing in Week 11, holding the Baltimore Ravens to just 13 points and adding an interception and three sacks. This marks two consecutive weeks in which the Panthers' defense has kept the team in the game by holding its opponent to fewer than 20 points. The Carolina DST can be considered a mediocre option next week against a struggling Denver Broncos offense.

  • Panthers DST Not Appealing Against Ravens

The Carolina Panthers defense/special teams has been decent in plus-matchups this season but will face a difficult test in Week 11 against the Baltimore Ravens. Quarterback Lamar Jackson has not thrown an interception since Week 7 and the Ravens are averaging over 26 points per game. Fantasy managers should avoid the Carolina DST in this tough road matchup and find a better streaming option on the waiver wire.

  • Carolina Panthers Defense A Sneaky Option This Week

The Carolina Panthers defense has been up-and-down for fantasy all season, and on Thursday, they will face an Atlanta Falcons offense that just hung 31 points on them two weeks ago. Falcons quarterback Marcus Mariota did throw two interceptions in the contest, however. With Hurricane Nicole expected to impact the weather in Carolina on Thursday night, this divisional clash has the potential to be low-scoring and turnover-filled. If there are no better options available, the Panthers D/special teams can be started in a pinch.

  • Panthers Defense Surrenders 42 Points In Week 9 Loss

The Carolina Panthers defense allowed 42 points and failed to record any turnovers in a Week 9 loss to the Cincinnati Bengals. The Carolina defense/special teams appeared to be a viable option in certain matchups early in the season but has been uninspiring in recent weeks. The team will face off against the Falcons again in Week 10 after just giving up 31 points to Atlanta's offense a week ago. The Panthers DST does not need to be rostered in fantasy leagues.

  • Panthers Defense Gives Up 30 Points In Loss

The Carolina Panthers defense recorded two interceptions and two sacks but surrendered 30 points to the Atlanta Falcons offense in a Week 8 loss. Fantasy managers who started the Carolina DST avoided negative points, but this was still a disappointing showing after the team allowed just three points to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in Week 7. The Panthers DST can be dropped from fantasy rosters with a Week 9 matchup against the Cincinnati Bengals on deck.

  • Panthers Defense A Decent Week 8 Option

The Carolina Panthers' defense limited the Tampa Bay Buccaneers to just three points last week and will have the opportunity to step up in a divisional matchup against the Atlanta Falcons in Week 8. Atlanta is averaging over 23 points per game but is seeing much of its offensive production come on the ground. Carolina has been solid against opposing running backs this season and could capitalize if Marcus Mariota is forced to throw the ball more than usual. The Panthers DST should be considered a high-floor option in fantasy lineups this week.

  • Panthers Defense Should Be Avoided In Week 7

The Carolina Panthers defense/special teams has been surprisingly good for fantasy so far this season and is one of only two units in the league with at least three defensive touchdowns. Despite this success, it will be hard to trust the Panthers DST in a Week 7 home matchup against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. The Buccaneers struggled against the Pittsburgh Steelers last week, but Tom Brady, who has only thrown one interception through six games, will be looking to get back in the win column on Sunday. Carolina cannot be started with confidence in fantasy lineups.

  • Panthers Defense Solid For Fantasy In Week 6

The Carolina Panthers defense allowed 24 points to the Los Angeles Rams in a loss on Sunday but managed to get the job done for fantasy purposes. Cornerback Donte Jackson intercepted Rams quarterback Matt Stafford in the second quarter and returned it for the team's only touchdown of the game. The Panthers also recorded one sack in the contest. Although it can be played in the right matchups, the Carolina DST should be avoided in Week 7 against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

  • Panthers Defense Could Surprise In Week 6

The Carolina Panthers defense/special teams has found some success in 2022 but has not been dependable for fantasy on a weekly basis. The team will have an opportunity to step up in Week 6 against a Los Angeles Rams offense that ranks 29th in scoring, 27th in total yards, and second in turnovers so far this season. It's certainly possible that Matt Stafford and company turn things around at home this week, but the Panthers DST could be a sneaky fantasy play as one of only three units in the league with multiple defensive touchdowns.

  • Panthers Defense Allows 31 Points In Week 5

The Carolina Panthers defense/special teams allowed 31 points to the San Francisco 49ers' offense and recorded two sacks and a fumble recovery in the team's Week 5 loss. The Panthers were exploited both through the air and on the ground as they surrendered 397 total yards. Although the Carolina DST has had its moments for fantasy this season, it will not be a recommended option in a Week 6 road bout with the Los Angeles Rams.

  • Panthers Defense Scores For A Second Consecutive Week

The Carolina Panthers defense/special teams recorded one sack, one forced fumble, and a pick-six while allowing 26 points in a loss to the Arizona Cardinals. Carolina's defense made some big plays for the second week in a row after failing to force a turnover in either of its first two games. The Panthers DST looks like a viable option heading into a Week 5 bout with the San Francisco 49ers, who have averaged just 15.7 points per game through three weeks.

  • Panthers Defense - Week 4 Outlook For Fantasy Football

The Carolina Panthers defense/special teams finished as a top-three fantasy option last week and will hope to stay hot in a Week 4 matchup against the Arizona Cardinals. The Panthers faced off against the New Orleans Saints led by an injured Jameis Winston in Week 3, so it is not surprising that they were able to force turnovers. Kyler Murray and the Cardinals have been middle-of-the-pack in terms of offensive production this season but still pose a greater threat to score on Carolina's defense. Because of this, the Panthers DST will not be a recommended option this week.

  • Panthers Defense Steps Up In Week 3

The Carolina Panthers defense/special teams finally delivered for fantasy managers in a Week 3 victory over the New Orleans Saints. The Panthers defense only allowed 14 points and posted two interceptions, a sack and a fumble recovery that was returned for a touchdown. Despite the solid performance, Carolina will not be a great starting option over the next few weeks with matchups against the Cardinals, 49ers, Rams and Buccaneers coming up.

  • Carolina Panthers Defense - Week 3 Outlook For Fantasy Football

The Carolina Panthers defense/special teams has not produced for fantasy so far this season as it is yet to force a turnover. That could change in Week 3 as the Panthers will take on the New Orleans Saints at home. Saints' quarterback Jameis Winston (back, ankle) is questionable to suit up but threw three interceptions last week while playing with four fractures in his back. Although there are likely better DST options out there, you could do worse than Carolina if streaming the position. This game has one of the lowest projected point totals of the week and both teams' defenses could certainly lead the way.

  • Panthers Defense Does Little Against Giants

The Carolina Panthers defense/special teams gave up 19 points and forced zero turnovers in the team's Week 2 loss to the New York Giants. Carolina did have three sacks this week, which was an improvement after tallying just one in the season opener. Still, they are yet to post an interception, forced fumble, or fumble recovery in 2022 despite playing against two offenses with middling expectations heading into the season. The Panthers DST will not be a recommended fantasy play in Week 3 against the New Orleans Saints and can be comfortably left on waivers.

  • Panthers Defense - Week 2 Outlook For Fantasy Football

The Carolina Panthers defense/special teams appeared to be set up for success against the Jacoby Brissett-led Cleveland Browns last week but unfortunately did not come through for fantasy football. They have another enticing matchup in Week 2, however, against the New York Giants. Although the Giants' offense looked improved to start the season, turnover-prone quarterback Daniel Jones still threw an interception and lost a fumble while being sacked five times by the Tennessee Titans. If there aren't any obvious options for fantasy on the waiver wire, the Panthers DST should be a fine play in your starting lineup this week.

  • Panthers Defense A Strong Option To Start The Season

The Carolina Panthers defense got off to a hot start last season but was unusable for fantasy during a tough stretch of opponents at the end of the year. Still, there is a lot of talent on the Panthers' defense, which will open the 2022 season against the Cleveland Browns at home. With Jacoby Brissett starting at quarterback for Cleveland, Carolina is an enticing fantasy option in Week 1. A matchup with the New York Giants is on deck, so the Panthers D/ST is definitely worth adding to your fantasy roster and starting for at least the first two weeks.
