  • Vikings Defense A Solid Streaming Option In Week 12

The Minnesota Vikings defense is a solid streaming option this week. Minnesota is facing off against the New England Patriots in Week 12, an offense that has been mediocre for most of this season. In addition to being below average at scoring, the Patriots have had a turnover on nearly 15 percent of their offensive drives. While the Vikings were decimated last week against the Dallas Cowboys, they could easily rebound this week as New England's offense has been floundering as of late. Strongly consider them if you need a defense this week.

  • Vikings Defense A Risky Option Versus Cowboys

The Minnesota Vikings D/ST is a risky option for fantasy managers heading into their meeting with the Cowboys, as they figure to be valued as nothing more than a streaming option this week. They came up big with a fumble recovery for a touchdown and an interception in overtime last week, but they could have their hands full with a Cowboys offense that looks to be on a role as of late. The Vikings have given up the seventh-most passing yards this season, which makes a matchup against the likes of Dak Prescott, CeeDee Lamb, and Michael Gallup uninspiring for their outlook.

  • Vikings Defense Comes Up Big In Week 10 Win

The Minnesota Vikings defense came up huge in the comeback victory over the Bills, as a late-game fumble recovery for a touchdown and an interception in overtime helped lead the Vikings to an 8-1 start to the 2022 season. They were able to record two sacks in this one while surrendering 30 points to Josh Allen and company. Despite the impressive performance, the Vikings D/ST doesn't seem like a reliable weekly starting option moving forward for fantasy managers.

  • Vikings D/ST A Risky Play In Week 10

The Vikings D/ST fantasy value is up in the air in Week 10, as Josh Allen's status remains unclear leading up to kickoff. Should he be active, the Vikings D/ST becomes a must-sit option against the best offense in the league in this one. However, if Case Keenum is to get the start, fantasy managers can value them as a streaming option this week. Still, the Vikings have allowed the 10th-most passing yards this season, so fantasy managers shouldn't have lofty expectations even if they go up against a backup signal-caller.

  • Vikings Defense Records Three Sacks And An Interception

The Minnesota Vikings D/ST recorded three sacks and was able to pick off Taylor Heinicke late in the game to set up the game-winning field goal in the 20-17 win. After struggling to defend the pass up to this point in the season, the Vikings secondary limited the Washington offense to just 149 passing yards in this one. They will draw a brutal matchup with the Bills in Week 10, making them a must-bench option for fantasy managers.

  • Vikings Defense A Potential Streamer In Week 9

The Minnesota Vikings defense/special teams is a potential streaming option as they take on the Commanders in Week 9. Quarterback Taylor Heinicke has surprisingly played well during his time as the starter for Washington, but we saw him struggle at times during the 2021 season, so it wouldn't be a surprise to see the Vikings defense have a solid game in this one. That being said, they have allowed the seventh-most passing yards this season despite already having their bye week, so they are by no means a reliable option on any given week.

  • Vikings Defense Records Four Sacks, Two Interceptions

The Minnesota Vikings defense recorded four sacks and picked off Kyler Murray twice in the team's 34-26 win in Week 8. They surrendered 326 passing yards and 78 yards on the ground, so the turnovers and sacks helped salvage a potentially poor performance for fantasy managers. Moving forward, the Vikings D/ST seems like nothing more than a streaming option. In Week 9, they could be worth a look as they take on a struggling Commanders' offense.

  • Vikings Defense A Risky Streaming Option In Week 8

The Minnesota Vikings defense/special teams is a risky streaming option in Week 8 against the Cardinals, as they have allowed the 10th-most passing yards this season despite already having their bye week. The Cardinals offense hasn't exactly been a terrifying matchup this season, but quarterback Kyler Murray and receiver DeAndre Hopkins looked to be on the same page in Week 7 when Hopkins made his season debut, which could potentially cause some problems for the Vikings pass defense. At best, they are a low-end streaming option this week.

  • Vikings Defense Records Six Sacks In Win

The Minnesota Vikings' defense had its way with the Dolphins' offensive line unit in Week 6 as they recorded six sacks in the 24-16 win. They picked off Teddy Bridgewater twice and forced a fumble from Jaylen Waddle to add to their strong performance on Sunday. The Vikings D/ST figures to be a streaming option going forward, as they take on the Cardinals in Week 8 with DeAndre Hopkins back in the fold.

  • Vikings Defense A Risky Streaming Option In Week 6

The Minnesota Vikings D/ST could have some streaming appeal in Week 6 against the Dolphins with Tua Tagovailoa (concussion) out, but the super-talented receiving core of Tyreek Hill and Jaylen Waddle still poses some problems for an exploitable secondary. The Vikings have given up the 11th-most passing yards this season, so they don't have much appeal regardless of this matchup with a backup quarterback. They aren't a must-sit option, however, they do come with some risks.

  • Vikings Defense Gives Up 22 Points To The Bears

The Vikings defense gave up 22 points during the Week 5 matchup against the Bears. Chicago has one of the most dysfunctional offenses in the entire NFL. However, Justin Fields still threw for 208 yards, his highest total of the season. The Vikings have the high-powered Dolphins offense on tap for Week 6. While that isn't ideal for fantasy managers, the outlook will improve if Tyreek Hill (foot) and Tua Tagovailoa (concussion) aren't available.

  • Vikings Defense A Solid Option In Week 5

The Minnesota Vikings defense/special teams is a solid starting option in Week 5 as they take on a struggling Bears offense. The passing attack for the Bears has been almost non-existent, so there could be limited opportunity to force turnovers with such limited passing volume. However, the Bears offensive line has struggled tremendously so far this season, possibly opening up the door for the Minnesota pass rush to sack quarterback Justin Fields.

  • Vikings Defense Forces Two Turnovers In Week 4

The Minnesota Vikings' defense forced two fumbles in the team's 28-25 win in Week 4. Despite the two turnovers, the defense didn't look particularly good as Andy Dalton completed 20-of-28 passes for 236 yards in this one. The Vikings D/ST doesn't seem like a reliable option moving forward, but a Week 5 meeting with the Bears will make them a streaming option once again.

  • Vikings Defense A Solid Play In Week 4

The Minnesota Vikings defense is a solid play for fantasy managers in Week 4 after the news that Michael Thomas (foot) will not play, and Andy Dalton likely starting at quarterback for the Saints. The Vikings rank bottom-five in passing yards allowed, but it is hard to imagine a depleted Saints offense carving them up in this one. Their performance has been underwhelming the past two weeks, but they are in a great spot for some success. Fantasy managers can confidently start the Vikings D/ST in Week 4.

  • Vikings Defense Looking To Bounce Back In Week 3

The Minnesota Vikings defense will look to bounce back in Week 3 after a poor performance on Monday night in Week 2. They will go against a Lions offense led by Jared Goff, D'Andre Swift, and Amon-Ra St. Brown, who have scored 71 points through two games this season. The Vikings' defensive unit looked very good against the Packers in Week 1, so there is some appeal here for them as a starting option this week. Still, they are at best a streaming option as there are likely better options available in conventional-sized leagues.

  • Vikings Defense Struggles In Week 2

The Minnesota Vikings defense gave up 24 points in a loss to the Philadelphia Eagles on Monday night, as they recorded three sacks and an interception in this one. Jalen Hurts completed 26-of-31 passes for 333 yards, while the Eagles rushing attack was able to rack up 163 yards on the ground. The Vikings D/ST will look to bounce back in Week 3 as they host the Detroit Lions, who have scored 71 points through the first two games of the season.

  • Vikings Defense Draws Tough Matchup In Week 2

The Minnesota Vikings defense will look to slow down the high-powered Philadelphia Eagles offense in Week 2 after holding Aaron Rodgers and company to just seven points in the season opener. Jalen Hurts led the Eagles' offense to 38 points in Week 1, so the Vikings' defense is in for a challenge as they face one of the league's best rushing attacks. There are likely better options available this week in conventional formats.

  • Vikings Defense Records Four Sacks And A Forced Fumble

The Minnesota Vikings' defense made life very difficult for Aaron Rodgers and company as they recorded four sacks and a forced fumble on the reigning MVP. Za'Darius Smith got in on the action against his former team as he recorded one sack and a tackle for loss in this one. The Vikings defensive unit looked strong in this one, however, they have another tough test in Week 2 as they travel to Philadelphia.

  • Vikings Defense Draws Tough Matchup In Week 1

The Minnesota Vikings' defense will have a tall task on their hands as they face Aaron Rodgers and the Green Bay Packers in Sunday's season opener. Rodgers put up 673 passing yards and six passing touchdowns in their two meetings last season, making the Vikings' defense an easy fade in fantasy lineups for Week 1 of the season. Despite losing their top wideout in the offseason, a Rodgers-led offense, and an elite run game is likely enough to limit the fantasy production of the Vikings D/ST. Fantasy managers should be looking elsewhere in Week 1.
