  • Cowboys Defense Unable To Force Turnover In Week 12

The Dallas Cowboys' defense allowed 20 points and failed to force a turnover during Thursday's win over the New York Giants. The unit did force one fumble, but New York recovered it. On a positive note, the Cowboys recorded three sacks in the victorytwo from Micah Parsons and one courtesy of Dorance Armstrong. This squad should continue to be started in fantasy football when they take on the Indianapolis Colts next week.

  • Cowboys Defense A Top Play In Week 12

The Dallas Cowboys defense is a top fantasy option in a Week 12 Thanksgiving matchup against the New York Giants. The Cowboys defense has been a top-eight option six times already this season, and there are plenty of reasons to believe they'll be right up there again on Turkey Day. They can be started with confidence in any league that still has DST in the starting lineup.

  • Cowboys Defense Dominates In A Week 11 Blowout

The Dallas Cowboys defense was dominant in a Week 11 blowout win against the Minnesota Vikings. In a game that most expected to be an offensive shootout, the Cowboys ended up allowing just three points. They recorded seven sacks and a fumble recovery. That was good for 16 fantasy points in standard scoring formats. One of the best defensive units in fantasy this season, they will once again be a top-10 option on Thanksgiving against the New York Giants.

  • Cowboys Defense A Decent Option In Week 11

The Dallas Cowboys defense is a solid option in a Week 11 matchup against the Minnesota Vikings. Even though this game is expected by many to be one of the higher scoring contests of the week, the Cowboys defense has proven solid enough throughout the season that they are likely to record enough other stats to put up a good fantasy score even if they do allow more points than usual. The Cowboys DST has been a top-eight option five times already, with two overall DST1 finishes this season.

  • Cowboys Defense Has An Off Game In Week 10

The Dallas Cowboys defense had an off day in a Week 10 overtime loss to the Green Bay Packers. They gave up 31 points and recorded just two sacks. They did recover two fumbles and ended up with two fantasy points in standard scoring leagues. It was the most points they have allowed this season and the fewest fantasy points they have scored. They'll face the Vikings in Week 11 and will still be a top-12 option in that matchup.

  • Cowboys Defense A Top Option In Week 10

The Dallas Cowboys defense is a top fantasy option in Week 10 fantasy lineups. Taking on a struggling Green Bay Packers offense, the Cowboys defensive unit is set for another top five finish in this one. They've finished in the top five in fantasy points in three of their last four games, including two number one overall finishes in that span. In previous seasons, the Packers may have been a matchup to avoid for defenses, but that isn't the case anymore this season, and this Cowboys defense is good enough to be almost matchup proof.

  • Cowboys Defense Does Well Despite A High Score In Week 8

The Dallas Cowboys defense played well and put up 10 fantasy points despite allowing 29 points to the Chicago Bears. The Cowboys defense scored a touchdown, recovered a fumble, and sacked the quarterback four times. It was a solid performance after a slightly rough start. The Cowboys will have a bye week in Week 9, but their defense should be a top-12 option once again in Week 10 against the Packers.

  • Cowboys Defense An Excellent Option In Week 8

The Dallas Cowboys defense is an elite fantasy option in Week 8 lineups. The Cowboys have finished as the top defensive unit twice this season and as a top-nine option two other times. Their worst performance was a DST20 finish in Week 1, but they are the overall DST1 on the year. Facing a Chicago Bears team that loves giving points to opposing fantasy defenses, the Cowboys unit is an easy top-two option in Week 8, and they're not number two.

  • Cowboys Defense Excellent Again In A Week 7 Win

The Dallas Cowboys defense was outstanding again in an easy Week 7 win over the Detroit Lions. They intercepted two passes, recovered three fumbles, got five sacks, and allowed just six points. All in all, it was a 19 fantasy point performance in standard scoring leagues. They could be on tap for another excellent game in Week 8 when they face off against a struggling Chicago Bears offense.

  • Cowboys Defense A Worthwhile Week 7 Option

The Dallas Cowboys defense is a worthwhile Week 7 fantasy option. They will face the Detroit Lions, who have shown the ability to put up points this season and should be getting some of their injured players back. But still, the Cowboys have shown that they can rush the quarterback and defend on the second level well. This should be a good matchup, with the Cowboys defensive unit coming in ranked as an easy top-10 option.

  • Cowboys Defense Has A Decent Week 6

The Dallas Cowboys defense had a pedestrian performance in a Week 6 loss to the Philadelphia Eagles. The Cowboys didn't record any turnovers but did have four sacks. They allowed 26 points to the Eagles offense, leading to a six point performance in standard scoring fantasy leagues. The Cowboys defense has been strong this season, and this was possibly their biggest test so far and while they didn't excel, they certainly didn't embarrass themselves either. They'll likely perform better in Week 7 against the Lions, where they'll be an easy top-10 fantasy option.

  • Cowboys Defense Faces A Tough Test In Week 6

The Dallas Cowboys defense will face possibly their toughest test of the season so far in a Week 6 matchup against the division-rival Philadelphia Eagles. The Cowboys have been an excellent defensive unit both on the field and in fantasy lineups, as they are currently in second place in sacks and turnovers. Week 6 could be the highest scoring game of the season for Dallas so far, but their defense is still a top-12 fantasy option.

  • Cowboys Defense Shines Again In Week 5 Win

The Dallas Cowboys defense was outstanding again in a Week 5 win over the Los Angeles Rams. They allowed just 10 points while recording five sacks, two fumble recoveries, and interception, and a touchdown. The Cowboys defensive front was in the Rams backfield all day long wreaking havoc for Matthew Stafford and an ineffective Los Angeles running game. In a standard scoring format, the Cowboys defense put up 22 fantasy points. They will face a tougher matchup in Week 6 against the Philadelphia Eagles.

  • Cam Akers Bottled Up By Cowboys Defense

Los Angeles Rams running back took 13 carries for 33 yards in the Rams' 22-10 loss to the Dallas Cowboys. He did not catch any passes. It was his second-straight game with fewer than 50 scrimmage yards and no touchdown. In fact, the Rams as a team have only scored a single touchdown in the past two games, and they move the ball (when they do) through the air. Akers may have taken over the role of the lead back, as he was expected to, but it's not a valuable role in this horrendous Rams offense, and even less so in PPR, given Akers' lack of targets.

Oct 10 · Source via Cowboys Dallas Cowboys
  • Matthew Stafford Faces Stifling Cowboys Defense

Los Angeles Rams quarterback Matthew Stafford faces a stingy Dallas Cowboys defense in Week 5 and should not be trusted as a starting QB in fantasy football. Stafford has been having a disappointing season, averaging 253.8 yards per game to go with just four touchdowns in four games and a league-leading six interceptions. The Rams rank No. 20 in passing yards per game and have allowed the fourth-most sacks. The Cowboys rank No. 6 in pass defense and have the second-most sacks per game. The Rams offense is mismatched against Micah Parsons and DeMarcus Lawrence, both of whom has three or more sacks. Stafford should not be started this week.

  • Cowboys Defense A Decent Choice In Week 5

The Dallas Cowboys defense is a decent fantasy option in Week 5 lineups. While the Cowboys have been good defensively and have provided their fantasy managers with several solid weeks already, they'll get a big test against the Los Angeles Rams offense on the road in Week 5. They are still a starting defensive unit in most formats, though.

  • Cowboys Defense Plays Well Again In Week 4

The Dallas Cowboys defense played well again in a Week 4 win over the Washington Commanders. They allowed just 10 points while recording two interceptions and two sacks. That was good for 11 fantasy points in standard scoring and another strong fantasy outing for the Dallas DST. They'll face the Rams in Week 5, which should be a bit more of a challenge.

Oct 2 · Source via Cowboys Dallas Cowboys
  • Cowboys Defense A Great Choice In Week 4

The Dallas Cowboys defense makes for a strong fantasy option in a Week 4 matchup against the Washington Commanders. The Dallas pass rush has been excellent so far this season, sacking the quarterback six times in Week 2 then five times in Week 3. The Commanders offensive line won't be able to protect quarterback Carson Wentz for long, leading to likely sacks and forced throws that could fall into the hands of Cowboys defenders. There is top-three upside for this defense in Week 4 in fantasy, and a presumed high floor as well.

  • Cowboys Defense Performs Well On Monday Night Football

The Dallas Cowboys defense played well in Week 3's edition of Monday Night Football, helping Dallas win a 23-16 game against the New York Giants. The Dallas defense allowed just 16 points while recording an interception, five sacks, and a blocked field goal. The Cowboys defense continues to play very solid football, and should only improve once the offense improves with the returns of Michael Gallup (knee), Dak Prescott (thumb), and Dalton Schultz (knee) in the following week or two. The Cowboys face the Commanders in Week 4, and should be a solid defense option then.

  • Cowboys Defense A Solid Week 3 Option

The Dallas Cowboys defense is a solid option in Week 3 fantasy lineups. They allowed just 17 points in Week 2 while recording six sacks. While they didn't come up with any interceptions, that kind of pressure on the opposing quarterback will certainly lead to some picks moving forward. With a matchup on Monday Night Football against the New York Giants, the Cowboys defense is a top-10 fantasy option for Week 3.

  • Cowboys Defense Solid In Week 2 Victory

The Dallas Cowboys defense was solid in a Week 2 win over the Cincinnati Bengals. The defense didn't record any turnovers, but they sacked Joe Burrow six times and only allowed 17 points. In standard DST scoring leagues, that's good for a nine fantasy point performance. With an extra day to get ready for a Week 3 matchup against the New York Giants on Monday Night Football, the Cowboys defense could be a solid streaming target.

  • Cowboys Defense A Risky Play In Week 2

The Dallas Cowboys defense makes for a risky fantasy play in Week 2 lineups. While the Cowboys defense did well against the Bucs in Week 1, allowing 19 points while recording two sacks and an interception, Week 2 could be a bit different. With Cooper Rush at quarterback, the Dallas offense may not be able to sustain long drives, which could lead to the defense being on the field for extended periods. There's still upside here, especially after opposing QB Joe Burrow turned the ball over five times in Week 1, but there's significant risk as well.
