  • Dolphins Defense Enjoys Huge Week 12 Versus Texans

The Miami Dolphins' defense came up big during Sunday's win over the Houston Texans. The unit logged four sacks, two interceptions, two forced fumbles, one fumble recovery, and one touchdown in the contest. Elandon Roberts, Jaelan Phillips, Duke Riley, and Bradley Chubb were responsible for taking down quarterback Kyle Allen. Meanwhile, Andrew Van Ginkel and Verone McKinley III picked off one pass each. Finally, Xavien Howard recovered a loose fumble and returned it 16 yards to the house. Although Miami was a great streaming option this week, they'll lack fantasy appeal when they take on a strong 49ers offense in Week 13.

  • Dolphins Defense Poised To Feast In Week 12

The Miami Dolphins' defense should be started in most fantasy football leagues this week. The unit will be tasked with slowing down the Houston Texans, one of the weakest offenses in the NFL. Houston even made a change at quarterback this week, replacing Davis Mills with Kyle Allen. The Texans are desperate for a spark, but it's hard to imagine they'll see much of a difference with their backup quarterback taking over the offense. Between turnovers, sacks, low yardage, and a low point total, Miami's defense should wreak havoc this week. Start them with confidence in fantasy football.

  • Dolphins Defense Solid In Week 10 Win Over Browns

The Miami Dolphins' defense registered three sacks and one fumble recovery during Sunday's victory over the Cleveland Browns. Christian Wilkins registered a strong outing, tallying one sack, three quarterback hits, and seven tackles. This unit should be rostered in most leagues when they face the Texans on the other side of their bye in Week 12.

  • Dolphins Defense Avoidable In Week 10

The Miami Dolphins' defense will look to hinder the Cleveland Browns during their upcoming matchup on Sunday in Week 10. That's easier said than done, even if the Browns are led by Jacoby Brissett. Cleveland has a key group of offensive playmakers headlined by Nick Chubb, whose beautiful combination of shifty and aggressive running makes him tricky to tackle, and Amari Cooper, who has thrived in his new home as a receiver who can dismantle opposing secondaries. Defenses have indeed struggled against the Browns in 2022, averaging just 3.5 fantasy points per game. That figure ranks as the eighth-lowest total in the NFL and puts the Browns behind the powerful offenses of the Chiefs, Eagles, Bills, Jaguars, Ravens, Dolphins, and Chargers. Translation: a matchup with the Browns is tough for any defense, let alone a Miami unit that has failed to meet expectations. Avoid the Dolphins this week; you can find better options on the waiver wire.

  • Dolphins Defense Registers Two Sacks Sunday

The Miami Dolphins defense sacked quarterback Justin Fields twice during their Week 9 clash with the Chicago Bears. The unit totaled two quarterback hits and three tackles for loss but did not record a turnover. Melvin Ingram and Duke Riley were credited with one sack each while Elandon Roberts led the way with nine sacks. The unit should continue to be streamed in most leagues heading into Week 10 against the Cleveland Browns.

  • Dolphins Defense A Great Option In Week 9

The Miami Dolphins' defense has plenty of fantasy appeal heading into Sunday's game against the Chicago Bears. While Justin Fields' improved mobility has injected some life into Chicago's offense, the system still has its flaws. For starters, the second-year quarterback ranks 34th in EYds, making it evident that the Bears don't do a good job moving the ball down the field and executing long drives. Their 126.9 passing yards per game also rank dead last in the league, and it's not close. Furthermore, Fields has been sacked seven times over the last two games due to offensive line breakdowns. All in all, the Miami defense (and pass rush in particular) has an opportunity to generate some big fantasy points on Sunday.

  • Dolphins Defense Underwhelms In Shootout

The Miami Dolphins' defense underwhelmed during Sunday's shootout win versus the Detroit Lions. Although Jared Goff turned the football over four times last week, he looked better this Sunday, tossing one touchdown and zero interceptions. This Miami unit, which logged just one sack courtesy of Zach Sieler, is no longer fantasy relevant heading into Week 9 versus the Chicago Bears.

  • Dolphins Defense Remains Appealing In Week 8

The Miami Dolphins' defense is coming off a strong performance in Week 7 and could be poised for another big game against the Detroit Lions this coming Sunday. Although the return of D'Andre Swift (shoulder, ankle) and Amon-Ra St. Brown (concussion protocol) will make Miami's job tougher, there's no denying that they could have a field day against Jared Goff, who turned the ball over four times against the Dallas Cowboys last week. Consider this unit a fringe top-10 option in fantasy football in Week 8. At the very least, they're worth stashing ahead of great matchups versus the Chicago Bears and Cleveland Browns in Weeks 9 and 10, respectively.

  • Dolphins Defense Registers Three Picks In SNF Victory

The Miami Dolphins' defense picked off Kenny Pickett three times during Sunday's win over the Pittsburgh Steelers. Jevon Holland, Justin Bethel, and Noah Igbinoghene each registered one turnover. Jaelan Phillips had another strong game, too, amassing 1.5 sacks and eight total tackles. Look for this unit to be a strong streaming option once again in Week 8 when they take on the Detroit Lions.

  • Dolphins Defense An Exciting Week 7 Option

The Miami Dolphins have one of the top streaming defenses in Week 7. Not only did the units show indications of being dominant earlier in the season, but we know that they play with the drive needed to win games. Additionally, and arguably more importantly, the Dolphins play against the Pittsburgh Steelers. Pittsburgh is expected to play Kenny Pickett this week, leaving the door open for Miami's defense to log roughly three turnovers while wreaking havoc for the opposing offense.

  • Dolphins Defense Registers Three Sacks Sunday

The Miami Dolphins' defense registered three sacks against the Minnesota Vikings in Week 6. Elandon Roberts led the way with 1.5 sacks while also recording a team-most seven tackles. The bad news is that the unit was unable to muster any turnovers, and they also surrendered 24 points in the loss. However, the good news is that the Dolphins are headed for a much more favorable matchup against the Pittsburgh Steelers in Week 7, making them a solid streaming option.

  • Dolphins Defense Lacks Fantasy Appeal With Tough Matchup On Tap

The Miami Dolphins' defense should be left on waivers in most leagues ahead of their Week 6 clash with the Minnesota Vikings. Over the last two weeks, Miami has struggled against a pair of offenses that aren't exactly elite: the Cincinnati Bengals and New York Jets. The Dolphins have allowed 65 points during that span while registering three sacks and zero turnovers. Things only get tougher for Miami as they prepare for the Vikings. Minnesota's explosive offense headlined by Justin Jefferson and Dalvin Cook is ready to do damage once again this week, and the Dolphins have shown nothing to suggest that they can slow down the Vikings' attack. Leave this unit on waivers in Week 6.

  • Dolphins Defense Obliterated In Week 5 Loss

The Miami Dolphins' defense struggled immensely on Sunday, allowing 40 points in a loss to the New York Jets. The unit registered two sacks (courtesy of Brandon Jones and Jerome Baker) and zero turnovers. Part of the problem was that Miami's offense, led by third-string quarterback Skylar Thompson, struggled to stay on the field and formulate scoring drives. The Dolphins have now totaled 65 points allowed and zero turnovers over their last two games, and their job only gets harder as they take on a surging Minnesota Vikings offense in Week 6. Miami belongs on fantasy waivers for the time being.

  • Miami Dolphins Worth Starting In Week 5

The Miami Dolphins defense is worth starting in fantasy football as they take on the New York Jets in Week 5. While the unit underwhelmed in Week 4 against the Bengals, they should bounce back coming off a long week. Furthermore, and perhaps more importantly, the Jets are rolling out Zach Wilson, who was picked off twice in his season debut last week. Even with New York trending up, their offense has shown its fair share of flaws. Look for Miami to capitalize on these mistakes, producing a top-12 finish on Sunday.

  • Dolphins Defense Uninspiring In Week 4

The Miami Dolphins' defense left a lot to be desired against the Cincinnati Bengals in Week 4. The unit allowed 27 points and failed to record a turnover in the loss. Furthermore, Miami generated just one sack, courtesy of pass-rusher Jaelan Phillips. Look for this defense to get back on track against a shaky New York Jets squad in Week 5.

  • Dolphins Defense - Week 4 Outlook For Fantasy Football

The Miami Dolphins' defense has been one of the best in football this season and could continue to thrive as they take on the Cincinnati Bengals in Week 4. Fantasy managers invested in the Dolphins' success should be licking their chops ahead of this Thursday night matchup. Not only did Miami find success slowing down an elite Bills offense last week, but the Bengals' offense has been quite generous in terms of allowing defenses to feast. Cincinnati has turned the ball over six times this season, and their 33 fantasy points allowed to defenses is the second-highest in football. Meanwhile, Joe Burrow has been sacked an NFL-most 15 times, which is good news for a Miami pass rush that took down Josh Allen four times last week. After a strong 2021 campaign, the Bengals' offense has taken a major step back. As a result, the Dolphins' defense should be started in most leagues in Week 4.

  • Dolphins Defense Busy In Win Over Bills

The Miami Dolphins' defense looked impressive against the Buffalo Bills in Week 3. The unit tallied four sacks and one fumble recovery while holding Buffalo to just 19 points, a season-low for the Bills. Melvin Ingram was the busiest player on defense, totaling two sacks, one forced fumble, one fumble recovery, and three total tackles. If Dolphins can succeed against Buffalo, they can succeed against pretty much anyone. Their defense should be rostered and started in most fantasy leagues for the time being.

  • Dolphins Defense - Week 3 Outlook For Fantasy Football

The Miami Dolphins' defense should be avoided at all costs as they take on a high-flying Buffalo Bills offense in Week 3. This divisional game has the potential to be quite high-scoring, and since defenses facing Buffalo have allowed 66 points so far, the unit should go untouched this week. Go ahead and leave them on waivers ahead of their matchup with the evasive Josh Allen and his brilliant supporting cast.

  • Dolphins Defense Struggles In Week 2

The Miami Dolphins' defense struggled against the Baltimore Ravens in Week 2. Although Miami came back in the win, the majority of the credit goes to the offense. The Dolphins' defense registered zero turnovers and zero sacks while allowing Lamar Jackson to rack up 318 passing yards, 119 rushing yards, and four total touchdowns. Their unit will get another tough test against the Buffalo Bills in Week 3.

  • Dolphins Defense - Week 2 Outlook For Fantasy Football

The Miami Dolphins' defense faces a tough opponent in the Baltimore Ravens this week. The Ravens dropped three touchdowns on the Jets last week, and that was without J.K. Dobbins (knee) in the lineup. Dobbins is expected to return this week, adding another element to a flashy and powerful Baltimore offense. While Lamar Jackson is certainly capable of turning the football over, the Ravens have the potential to score north of 20 points once again, limiting the Miami defense's fantasy upside this week. Fantasy managers are better off relying on a different team's defensive unit this Sunday.

  • Dolphins Defense Forces Three Turnovers, Scores Touchdown

The Miami Dolphins defense left its mark in Week 1, tallying two fumble recoveries, one interception and one touchdown while defeating the New England Patriots. Brandon Jones and Kader Kohou forced fumbles while Melvin Ingram and Jaelan Phillips tallied recoveries. Ingram's recovery turned into a two-yard scoop-and-score, giving Miami a defensive touchdown. Additionally, Jevon Holland contributed an interception that included a 31-yard return. Finally, the unit sacked Mac Jones twice. The Dolphins will face another tough opponent in the Baltimore Ravens next Sunday, but if Week 1 is any indication, Miami is up to the challenge.

  • Dolphins Defense - Week 1 Outlook For Fantasy Football

The Miami Dolphins defense has decent fantasy appeal heading into their Week 1 contest against the New England Patriots. PFF graded Miami's defense sixth in the NFL last season, and the unit has the potential to succeed against the Patriots. Mac Jones remains interception-prone, and although New England should put up enough points to keep this game quite competitive, the aggressive Dolphins have the potential to be a top option this week. They should be rostered and started in most leagues entering Week 1.
