Tyler Conklin Has Little Fantasy Appeal In Week 3

New York Jets tight end Tyler Conklin led the team in receptions last week and will hope to stay productive in a Week 3 matchup against the New England Patriots. Unfortunately for Conklin, the Patriots have allowed the second-fewest fantasy points to opposing tight ends so far this season. It's possible that Conklin continues to be a trustworthy target for quarterback Zach Wilson and thus is a name worth monitoring, but there are likely better options available on most fantasy waiver wires.

Tyler Conklin Has Solid Showing In Week 2 Loss

New York Jets tight end Tyler Conklin hauled in five of his six targets for 50 yards in a 30-10 loss to the Dallas Cowboys. Conklin led the Jets in receptions and was the second-most targeted player, trailing only Garrett Wilson. The 28-year-old could prove to be a reliable option for quarterback Zach Wilson as he was at times in 2022. Still, it will be difficult to count on any consistent fantasy scoring from New York's offensive weapons going forward. Conklin will look to stay involved when the Jets take on the New England Patriots in Week 3.

Tyler Conklin - Week 2 Outlook for Fantasy Football

New York Jets tight end Tyler Conklin operated as the team's clear starter at the position in Week 1 and will hope to be more involved in the passing attack in a Week 2 matchup against the Dallas Cowboys. Although Conklin posted fantasy-relevant performances with Zach Wilson under center in 2022, the 28-year-old was targeted just once in the 2023 season opener. Dallas' defense allowed limited production to tight ends last year, so Conklin should not be considered a streaming option this week and can safely remain on waiver wires in most formats.

Tyler Conklin Not On Fantasy Radar For Season Opener

New York Jets tight end Tyler Conklin finished second on the team in receiving in 2022 and will look to improve on his statistics with Aaron Rodgers now under center in 2023. Unfortunately, Conklin could struggle to open the season against a Buffalo Bills defense that allowed the third-fewest fantasy points per game to tight ends last year. With C.J. Uzomah and Jeremy Ruckert expected to mix in as well, it's difficult to project Conklin's utilization early on. He will be a name worth monitoring for fantasy purposes as Rodgers has found plenty of success with tight ends in the past, but Conklin can't be trusted in starting fantasy lineups on Monday night.
