  • Nick Chubb Quiet In Week 12 Loss

Cleveland Browns running back Nick Chubb was uncharacteristically quiet in a 16-10 loss to the Baltimore Ravens in Week 12. Chubb gained just 16 yards on eight touches while adding two catches for 23 yards in the Sunday night loss. The Ravens did a nice job taking Chubb out of the game as Cleveland was unable to get anything going on the ground in the loss. The veteran running back will now enjoy a bye in Week 13 before he gets a rematch with Baltimore, this time at home in Cleveland.

  • Nick Chubb - Week 12 Outlook for Fantasy Football

Cleveland Browns running back Nick Chubb will head on the road to take on the Baltimore Ravens in Week 12's Sunday Night Football contest. Chubb looked good in his return from the reserve/COVID-19 list in Week 11, running for 130 yards and scoring a receiving touchdown. The Ravens have been a neutral matchup for opposing running back, allowing the 17th-fewest fantasy points per game to the position in 2021. Running back Kareem Hunt (calf) also plans to play in Week 12 after getting designated for return from the injured list earlier in the week. Even if Hunt is back, fantasy gamers can trust Chubb as a low-end RB1/high-end RB2 for Week 12.

  • Jack Conklin Designated To Return From Injured Reserve

The Cleveland Browns designated right tackle Jack Conklin (elbow) to return from injured reserve on Wednesday, giving them 21 days to add him to the 53-man roster. Conklin has missed the past three games after dislocating his elbow in a Week 8 loss to the Pittsburgh Steelers. The addition of Conklin will be a big boost to Nick Chubb and the rest of the Cleveland running game as he is widely considered one of the better right tackles in the league. Conklin has a good chance to be active for his team's Week 12 showdown against the Baltimore Ravens on Sunday night.

  • Nick Chubb - Week 11 Outlook for Fantasy Football

Cleveland Browns running back Nick Chubb was activated from the league's reserve/COVID-19 list on Friday just in time for an excellent matchup against the Detroit Lions in Week 11. Detroit has struggled to contain opposing running backs this year, allowing the third-most fantasy points per game to the position thus far. With Detroit likely to start backup quarterback Tim Boyle and the Browns installed as 11.5-point home favorites, look for Chubb to see a healthy workload on Sunday. Fantasy gamers can treat Chubb as a top-five running back for Week 11.

  • Nick Chubb Activated From Reserve/COVID-19 List

The Cleveland Browns officially activated running back Nick Chubb from the reserve/COVID-19 list on Friday. He is eligible to play in Sunday's game against the Detroit Lions. The 25-year-old was trending in the right direction to return after he missed the Week 10 blowout loss to the New England Patriots. Chubb has rushed for 721 yards on 120 attempts and six touchdowns while catching eight passes for 69 yards over seven games this season. The Georgia product is a surefire RB1 against a Lions defense ranked 30th in rush DVOA this season.

  • Nick Chubb Trending In The Right Direction

Cleveland Browns offensive coordinator Alex Van Pelt said that running back Nick Chubb is trending in the right direction, and the team is hoping to get him back from the COVID-19 list this week in order to play in Week 11 against the winless Detroit Lions. Chubb missed the Week 10 blowout loss to the New England Patriots and must provide two negative COVID-19 tests in order to be activated, but that could come any day now. With Chubb, rookie Demetric Felton and John Kelly all on the COVID-19 list last week, D'Ernest Johnson had the backfield to himself and ran for 99 yards. As long as Chubb gets cleared, he'll be a no-brainer RB1 against the worst team in the NFL this Sunday.

  • Nick Chubb, Demetric Felton Ruled Out

Cleveland Browns running backs Nick Chubb and Demetric Felton remain on the Reserve/COVID-19 list and have been ruled out for Week 10 against the New England Patriots. The Browns were holding out hope that Chubb would be able to play this Sunday, but he wasn't able to deliver two negative tests 24 hours apart. With both Chubb and Felton out and Kareem Hunt (calf) still on Injured Reserve, D'Ernest Johnson will serve as the team's lead running back against the Patriots. John Kelly is also on the COVID-19 list, so the Browns will likely call up recently signed running back Brian Hill to the active roster to back Johnson up on Sunday. With the big volume increase this weekend, Johnson will be in the RB2 picture for Week 10.

  • Browns Holding Out Hope For Nick Chubb

Cleveland Browns offensive coordinator Alex Van Pelt said that there is still a chance that running back Nick Chubb comes off the Reserve/COVID-19 list in time to play on Sunday against the New England Patriots. Chubb and rookie Demetric Felton, who is also on the list, must provide two negative tests 24 hours apart in order to be cleared for this weekend's game. But with just one more day until the game, it remains unlikely that we'll see either back play in Week 10. With Kareem Hunt (calf) on Injured Reserve for at least another week, D'Ernest Johnson will be the team's primary ball-carrier if Chubb and Felton aren't cleared by Sunday. For the volume alone in this run-heavy offense, Johnson will have RB2 upside against the Pats if Chubb isn't activated.

  • Nick Chubb, Demetric Felton Test Positive For COVID-19

Cleveland Browns running backs Nick Chubb and Demetric Felton have tested positive for COVID-19, according to sources. Both players are vaccinated, so they would need two negative tests 24 hours apart in order to come off the Reserve/COVID-19 list and play in Week 10 against the New England Patriots. If Chubb cannot gain clearance before Sunday's game, D'Ernest Johnson would get another shot at the lead-back role for Cleveland with Kareem Hunt (calf) still currently on Injured Reserve. It's a tough blow for Chubb and his fantasy managers, as he's coming off a 137-yard, two-touchdown performance in the Week 9 win over the Cincinnati Bengals. The team's other RB, John Kelly, is also on the COVID-19 list, so Johnson is the only healthy RB on the team's current roster. Johnson would have RB2 upside if Chubb isn't available this weekend.

  • Wyatt Teller Inks Four-Year Extension With Cleveland

The Cleveland Browns have signed right guard Wyatt Teller to a four-year extension on Tuesday. After the season, he was set to become a free agent, but the Browns and Teller ultimately agreed on a four-year deal. The 26-year-old is under contract through 2025. Teller started 11 games for Cleveland in 2020 and had missed time due to an ankle injury. His Pro Football Focus grade in the last two seasons is 92.9 overall. Teller's presence on the offensive line helps RB Nick Chubb and the Browns running game.

  • Nick Chubb Scores Twice In Week 9

Cleveland Browns running back Nick Chubb turned in an excellent performance in a 41-16 win over the Cincinnati Bengals in Week 9. Chubb carried the ball 14 times for 137 yards and two touchdowns while adding two catches for 26 yards in the win. The veteran running back found the end zone on a one-yard run in the second quarter but he saved his best work until after halftime. Chubb took a third-quarter handoff 70 yards for a touchdown to help put the game out of reach. He will look to keep it going in Week 10's road showdown against the New England Patriots.

  • Nick Chubb - Week 9 Outlook for Fantasy Football

Cleveland Browns running back Nick Chubb practiced fully on Wednesday as he appears to be completely over the calf issue that cost him games in Weeks 6 and 7. After posting 61 scoreless yards in Week 8, Chubb will look to get back into the end zone in a Week 9 matchup against the Cincinnati Bengals. Cincinnati represents a decent matchup for Chubb as they are allowing the 12th-most fantasy points per game to running backs in 2021. Chubb should see plenty of work as the Browns try to keep pace with a Bengals team that has been excellent on offense this year. Fantasy gamers can trust Chubb as a low-end RB1 in Week 9.

  • Nick Chubb - Week 8 Outlook for Fantasy Football

Cleveland Browns running back Nick Chubb (calf) returned from a two-game absence to log limited practices on Wednesday and Thursday this week. Barring a setback, Chubb appears to be on track to return to the field for his team's Week 8 matchup against the Pittsburgh Steelers. The veteran running back will draw a difficult matchup against the Steelers in Week 8 as Pittsburgh is allowing the seventh-fewest fantasy points per game to opposing running backs thus far. Depending on how his calf responds, Chubb could see some extra work on Sunday with Kareem Hunt (calf) on injured reserve with a calf injury of his own. Fantasy gamers can treat Chubb as a low-end RB1 for Week 8.

  • Nick Chubb Puts In Limited Practice Wednesday

Cleveland Browns running back Nick Chubb (calf), who has missed the last two games, was a limited practice participant on Wednesday. Chubb is expected to return as the team's lead back for a divisional matchup against the Pittsburgh Steelers on Halloween this Sunday. The 25-year-old may not see a huge workload in his first game back, but Kareem Hunt (calf) also remains on Injured Reserve. Expect to see D'Ernest Johnson, who ran for well over 100 yards and a score against the Denver Broncos last week, to mix in alongside rookie Demetric Felton behind Chubb this weekend. Because it's possible that Chubb may not see his normal allotment of snaps against the Steelers, he'll be more of a low-end RB1/high-end RB2, but there's no doubt he should be returned to all starting fantasy lineups.

  • Nick Chubb Hopeful To Return On Sunday

Cleveland Browns running back Nick Chubb(calf) has been back at practice this week and is hopeful that he'll be able to return against the Steelers this weekend. He didn't go so far as to say he was definitely playing, but he continues to work his way back in practice, which is a good sign. With Kareem Hunt(calf) out, Chubb could be expected to see a large workload if he returns this week. However, given his recent injury, it would be smart for the Browns to work another running back in with him. From what we've seen, we can expect the Browns to split the Hunt work between D'Ernest Johnson and Demetric Felton. Johnson would likely get the rushing attempts to spell Chubb after his big game last week, while Felton would be used in the receiving game when Chubb needs a rest. As a result, neither backup seems like a confident flex play outside of deeper leagues.

  • Nick Chubb Expected To Return In Week 8

Cleveland Browns running back Nick Chubb (calf) is expected to return to game action in Week 8 against the division-rival Pittsburgh Steelers this Sunday, barring any setbacks in practice this week, according to a league source. Chubb returned to practice after missing the last two games, but he should be back this weekend as Cleveland's primary back. D'Ernest Johnson did an excellent job last Thursday in the win over the Denver Broncos when he rushed for 146 yards and a touchdown on 22 carries, but he'll revert to a backup role with Chubb set to return. It doesn't mean Johnson won't be fantasy relevant, though, as Kareem Hunt (calf) had plenty of standalone value behind Chubb before he landed on Injured Reserve. Johnson could still remain a factor as an RB3/flex until Hunt returns.

  • Nick Chubb Returns To Practice

Cleveland Browns running back Nick Chubb (calf) returned to practice on Monday ahead of the team's Week 8 matchup with the Pittsburgh Steelers. Chubb has missed the past two games but seems to be on track to return this week after getting some work in on Monday. Upon his return to the lineup, Chubb will remain a lower-end RB1, but he could see an even larger role with Kareem Hunt being sidelined. D'Ernest Johnson was impressive in Week 7, so it is unlikely his role is nonexistent moving forward. Still, Chubb figures to see the majority of carries and high-value touches close to the goal-line, so fantasy managers can count on him to produce at an elite level on the ground.

  • Browns Hopeful Nick Chubb Will Return In Week 8

Cleveland Browns head coach Kevin Stefanski said he's "hopeful" that running back Nick Chubb (calf) and right tackle Jack Conklin (knee) can return for a Week 8 showdown with the division-rival Pittsburgh Steelers on Oct. 31. Chubb has missed the last two games with injury, but with an extra 10 days of rest before their next game, he has a good chance of being ready to go as the team's lead back. Backup D'Ernest Johnson put the league on notice by gaining 146 yards on the ground and a touchdown on 22 carries in the Thursday night win over the Denver Broncos, but he'll likely serve in a change-of-pace role once Chubb is back. Kareem Hunt (calf) will miss at least two more games while on Injured Reserve. Chubb will be a must-start RB1 in Cleveland's No. 1 rushing offense when he returns to action.

  • Nick Chubb Ruled Out For Thursday Night

Cleveland Browns running back Nick Chubb (calf) has officially been ruled out for Thursday night against the Denver Broncos, according to head coach Kevin Stefanski. It will be Chubb's second straight missed game, but there's a chance he can return in Week 8 with extra time to rest up. With Kareem Hunt (calf) expected to miss four to six weeks, the Browns backfield will consist of a committee approach between D'Ernest Johnson and Demetric Felton on Thursday against Denver. In Week 6 against the Arizona Cardinals, Johnson handled one carry for two yards and caught his only target for seven yards, while Felton caught both of his targets for 14 yards. Johnson is likely to be the favored back on early downs, while Felton should have more of a role on passing downs, but it'll be hard to trust either back as anything more than touchdown-dependent RB3/flex options in dire circumstances with bye weeks hitting heavily in Week 7.

  • Nick Chubb Reportedly Unlikely To Play Thursday Night

Cleveland Browns running back Nick Chubb (calf) reportedly is unlikely to play in Thursday's game against the Denver Broncos. According to Dan Graziano of ESPN, Chubb is doubtful to play Thursday night. Earlier, Browns head coach Kevin Stefanski did not "rule out" Chubb from playing on Monday, but Cleveland will be careful with their star running back with the short turnaround for Thursday's game. The Browns will be without RB Kareem Hunt (calf) for the next 4-to-6 weeks. It leaves D'Ernest Johnson and Demetric Felton to lead the Browns backfield on Thursday in a tough matchup against the Broncos. Fantasy managers should look to add Johnson if they're in a bind, as the 25-year-old is expected to be the early-down option if Chubb is inactive.

  • Nick Chubb, Odell Beckham Jr. Pick Up DNP Tags

Cleveland Browns running back Nick Chubb (calf) and wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. (shoulder) were listed as out on Monday's estimated practice report. Chubb missed the Week 6 loss to the Arizona Cardinals and is up in the air to play Thursday night against the Denver Broncos. The Browns aren't ruling Chubb out yet, but he'll need to practice over the next couple days to have a chance. With Kareem Hunt (calf) now out four to six weeks, it'll likely be some combination of D'Ernest Johnson and rookie Demetric Felton in the backfield if Chubb is inactive. Beckham suffered a shoulder injury on Sunday and played only 54% of the offensive snaps, but he did have five catches for 79 yards. Donovan Peoples-Jones, who will be a popular waiver-wire addition this week, would serve as Cleveland's top wideout if OBJ cannot play on Thursday.

  • Nick Chubb Not Being Ruled Out For Thursday

Cleveland Browns head coach Kevin Stefanski said he's "not ruling out" running back Nick Chubb (calf) from playing this Thursday against the Denver Broncos in Week 7. Stefanski said that Chubb is "progressing" after he was ruled out of Sunday's blowout loss to the undefeated Arizona Cardinals. The Browns also aren't considering putting Chubb on Injured Reserve, which would keep him out for an additional three games. The 25-year-old still appears unlikely for this week, and with Kareem Hunt (calf) expected to miss four to six weeks, Cleveland's backfield could be a committee between D'Ernest Johnson and rookie Demetric Felton on Thursday night. Fantasy managers would be wise to have a backup plan in place for Chubb in Week 7 in case he doesn't get clearance by Thursday evening.

  • Nick Chubb, Kareem Hunt Unlikely To Play Thursday

Cleveland Browns running backs Nick Chubb (calf) and Kareem Hunt (calf) are both unlikely to play on Thursday night against the Denver Broncos. Considering the fact they are on a short week, it is no surprise the best running back duo in the league are being handled with caution, as the Browns will need them back to full health considering their offense primarily runs through the two of them. In their absence, D'Ernest Johnson and Demetric Felton should have a significant role in the run-heavy offensive scheme. Johnson should see the Chubb role as the early-down back, while Felton plays the Hunt role as the pass-catching and third-down back. If Chubb and Hunt are both ruled out, consider Johnson and Felton lower-end FLEX plays.

  • Nick Chubb Ruled Out For Week 6

Cleveland Browns running back Nick Chubb (calf) missed practice all week and has officially been ruled out for Week 6 against the Arizona Cardinals. Kareem Hunt (wrist) missed two practices this week before returning on Friday, but he may draw a questionable tag for this weekend. Cleveland's backfield is clearly hurting, but Hunt would have clear RB1 upside against Arizona if he's active. If Hunt is out or limited at all, the Browns would be left with some combination of D'Ernest Johnson and rookie Demetric Felton in their backfield. It wouldn't be the ideal situation for a run-first Browns offense trying to knock off the lone undefeated team in the NFL. Stay tuned for Hunt's official status.

  • Nick Chubb Not Spotted At Friday's Practice

Cleveland Browns running back Nick Chubb (calf) wasn't spotted at Friday's practice. Chubb has yet to practice this week, and it sounds like he'll be going down on Friday's report as a 'DNP' as well. There's still a chance he plays after a week of no practice, but that scenario should be considered a longshot. Kareem Hunt (wrist, knee) returned to practice Friday- a good sign for his availability Sunday against the Cardinals. If Chubb is inactive, Hunt would immediately enter the RB1 discussion against an Arizona defense that has ceded the 12th-most rushing yards to the position.

  • Kareem Hunt, Nick Chubb Miss Thursday Practice

Cleveland Browns running backs Kareem Hunt (wrist, knee) and Nick Chubb (calf) both missed practice on Thursday, making it two days in a row that the star runners have not been able to take the field. Hunt was spotted working off to the side while Chubb was not seen at all on Thursday. The Browns have yet to shed much light on the situation, although a second consecutive missed practice indicates that Wednesday's absence was likely more than just a veteran maintenance day for Hunt and Chubb. A return to at least a limited session on Friday would be a step in the right direction for both running backs, so stay tuned to Cleveland's final injury report of the week. If neither can play on Sunday against the Arizona Cardinals, both D'Ernest Johnson and Demetric Felton would be in the mix for backfield carries.

  • Nick Chubb, Kareem Hunt Not Practicing

Cleveland Browns running backs Nick Chubb (calf) and Kareem Hunt (knee, wrist) both sat out of practice on Wednesday. It's unknown if either Chubb or Hunt are in danger of missing Week 6 against the Arizona Cardinals, but we'll continue to monitor their status throughout the week. Chubb had a monster day in the Week 5 loss to the Los Angeles Chargers, carrying the ball 21 times for 161 yards and a touchdown. Hunt still got his, rushing 12 times for 61 yards and two touchdowns while adding five catches for 28 yards. In this run-first offense, both Chubb and Hunt can co-exist and maintain standalone fantasy value. If one or both are unable to play this weekend, D'Ernest Johnson and rookie Demetric Felton would have larger roles against Arizona.

  • Nick Chubb Rushes For 161 Yards, TD In Loss

Cleveland Browns running back Nick Chubb broke a two-game slump with a big outing against the Los Angeles Chargers in a 47-42 loss in Week 5. After slow outings in Weeks 3 and 4, Chubb carried the ball 21 times for 161 yards and a touchdown while adding a nine-yard reception in the loss. The veteran running back's touchdown was an impressive 52-yard run where he outraced the Los Angeles defense down the right sideline after breaking a couple of tackles. Chubb now has four rushing touchdowns through five games this season and has logged 64 carries over his past three games. He will be a solid fantasy running back in Week 6's home matchup against the Arizona Cardinals.

  • Nick Chubb Looks To Break Scoreless Streak In Week 5

Cleveland Browns running back Nick Chubb has been overshadowed by backup running back Kareem Hunt in two straight games now. Hunt has scored two touchdowns over that span while Chubb has gone scoreless. The veteran running back will look to find the end zone for the first time since Week 2 on the road against the Los Angeles Chargers in Week 5. The Chargers have been middle of the road against opposing running backs this season, allowing the 14th-fewest fantasy points per game to the position through four contests. Chubb should see his normal workload this weekend, but with just four catches this year, he has become an increasingly touchdown-dependent fantasy option. He can be treated as a high-end RB2 for Week 5.

  • Nick Chubb A Quality RB1 In Week 4

Cleveland Browns running back Nick Chubb was held out of the end zone for the first time all season in Week 3's win over the Chicago Bears. Chubb will look to score his fourth touchdown and start a new streak in a Week 4 road matchup against the Minnesota Vikings. The Vikings have been average against the run thus far, permitting opposing running backs to score the 17th-most fantasy points per game. Chubb should be a big part of the game plan and should hear the team call his number plenty in Week 4. Treat him as a low-end RB1 for Week 4's showdown this Sunday.

  • Nick Chubb Manages 84 Scoreless Yards Vs. Bears

Cleveland Browns running back Nick Chubb carried the ball 22 times for 84 yards in a 26-6 win over the Chicago Bears in Week 3. Chubb was not targeted in the passing game in the win. While Chubb's 22 carries were a season-high, the star running back was not able to find the end zone, although he did watch while backup running back Kareem Hunt scored. Chubb is going to have games like this but he remains a high-end fantasy running back thanks to the multiple-touchdown upside he brings whenever he's on the field. Chubb will take on the Minnesota Vikings on the road in Week 4.

  • Nick Chubb A Solid RB1 Vs. Chicago

Cleveland Browns running back Nick Chubb is off to a fast start this season, posting three rushing touchdowns through two games. He will look to stay hot in Week 3 in a home game against the Chicago Bears. Chicago has been tough on opposing running backs in 2021, holding Joe Mixon to 69 scoreless rushing yards in Week 2 and allowing the fifth-fewest fantasy points per game to opposing running backs through two games. That being said, running the ball is Cleveland's strength and Chubb should see enough touches to finish as an RB1 in fantasy this weekend.

  • Nick Chubb A High-End RB1 In Week 2

Cleveland Browns running back Nick Chubb got his 2021 season off to a fast start as he scored twice in his team's season opener against the Kansas City Chiefs. The veteran running back should be in line for another excellent performance as he gets set to take on the Houston Texans at home in Week 2. The Browns are installed as 12.5-point home favorites, so the running game should be a primary component of their game plan. Fire Chubb up as a high-end RB1 for his Week 2 matchup against the Texans.

  • Nick Chubb A Low-End RB1 For Week 1

Cleveland Browns running back Nick Chubb draws a favorable matchup against the Kansas City Chiefs for the season opener in Week 1. The last time Chubb saw this Chiefs defense he was quiet, rushing for 69 yards on 13 carries and adding two catches for four yards. That being said, the Chiefs were rather generous to running backs in 2020, allowing the 11th-most fantasy points per game to the position. While Chubb is unlikely to see much work in the passing game, look for Cleveland to lean on him early in the game, especially if they can get a lead. Treat Chubb as a low-end RB1 for Week 1.
