  • Nick Chubb Will Play Against Bengals

Cleveland Browns running back Nick Chubb (chest, ribs) was limited in practice all week but was removed from the final injury report for Week 18 against the Cincinnati Bengals. Chubb curiously only had 12 carries, his fewest since Week 12, and ran for 58 yards against one of the worst run defenses in the NFL in the Pittsburgh Steelers in Week 17's Monday night game, leading many to wonder if he was too injured to play. He's clearly dealing with an injury, but it's not serious enough to keep him from playing in the regular season finale. However, Cleveland may take it easy on him once again, especially if pass-catching back Kareem Hunt (ankle) returns to action. Chubb is still in the RB1 picture, but he's more of a low-end RB1 to close out the year.

  • Nick Chubb Dealt With Rib Injury In Week 17 Loss

Cleveland Browns head coach Kevin Stefanski said running back Nick Chubb (ribs) dealt with a rib injury in the first half and pushed through it. He rushed 12 times for 58 yards and didn't catch his only target in Monday night's 26-14 loss to the Pittsburgh Steelers. The 26-year-old's rib injury is reportedly why the Browns limited Chubb's workload on Monday. He logged his third-fewest carries of the season in the Week 17 loss. The severity of Chubb's injured ribs is unknown at this time, and he's considered day-to-day. Cleveland has nothing to play for and could rest the star running back for the regular-season finale against the Cincinnati Bengals. D'Ernest Johnson and Kareem Hunt (ankle) would lead Cleveland's backfield if Chubb cannot suit up. Stay tuned.

  • Nick Chubb Quiet In Week 17 Loss

Cleveland Browns running back Nick Chubb struggled in a 26-14 loss to the Pittsburgh Steelers in Week 17. Chubb carried the ball 12 times for 58 yards while failing to bring in his lone target in the contest. It was a strange outing for Chubb as Cleveland ignored him for much of the first half, instead choosing to let Baker Mayfield throw incompletion after incompletion. They did go to him a bit more in the second half, but it still wound up as a disappointing outing for the star running back. Thanks to a struggling Cleveland offense, Chubb will be more of an RB2 in Week 18 against the Cincinnati Bengals.

  • Nick Chubb - Week 17 Outlook for Fantasy Football

Cleveland Browns running back Nick Chubb will take on the Pittsburgh Steelers on the road in Week 17's Monday Night game. Chubb rushed for 61 scoreless yards back when these two teams met in Week 8, which was his first game back from a calf injury. The Steelers have been struggling to contain opposing running backs this year, allowing the seventh-most fantasy points per game to the position. Gamers competing for fantasy championships this weekend have likely been relying on Chubb all year and will want to lock him into those lineups as a high-end RB1 for Week 17.

  • Nick Chubb Turns In Big Game Vs. Packers

Cleveland Browns running back Nick Chubb turned in a big outing in a 24-22 loss to the Green Bay Packers in Week 16. Chubb carried the ball 17 times for 126 yards and a touchdown while adding a team-high 58 yards on three receptions. The veteran running back was basically the whole offense for the Browns in the close loss as he nearly willed the team into scoring position on their final drive, only to watch Baker Mayfield throw a game-ending interception, his fourth of the afternoon. Chubb will remain a solid RB1 in Week 17's Monday Night Football matchup against the Pittsburgh Steelers.

  • Nick Chubb - Week 16 Outlook for Fantasy Football

Cleveland Browns running back Nick Chubb will suit up against the Green Bay Packers in Week 16's Christmas Day game. Chubb performed well in a Week 15 loss to the Las Vegas Raiders, rushing for 91 yards and a touchdown on Tuesday night. He will go up against a Packers run defense that is tough on opposing running backs, allowing the eighth-fewest fantasy points per game to the position in 2021. Chubb draws a difficult matchup but he should offset that with a large workload as he has garnered 40 of the 47 running back carries in Cleveland over the past two games. Treat Chubb as a solid RB1 in Week 16.

  • Nick Chubb Runs For 91 Yards, TD In Loss

Cleveland Browns running back Nick Chubb carried the ball 23 times for 91 yards and a touchdown in a 16-14 loss to the Las Vegas Raiders in Week 15 while adding a two-yard reception. Chubb was basically the entire offense on an afternoon where Cleveland was without multiple offensive starters. His touchdown run was a four-yard scamper in the third quarter and it looked like he had a second touchdown run late in the fourth quarter but the play was negated by a holding penalty against Cleveland. Chubb will remain on the RB1/RB2 borderline for his Week 16 showdown against the Green Bay Packers.

  • Nick Chubb - Week 15 Outlook for Fantasy Football

Cleveland Browns running back Nick Chubb will suit up against the Las Vegas Raiders at home in a Week 15 Saturday afternoon contest. The Browns have been hit hard by COVID-19, with Chubb one of the few offensive starters left standing, so look for Cleveland to lean on him even more than usual to move the ball. The Raiders also represent a plus matchup for Chubb as they are allowing the fourth-most fantasy points per game to running backs. Fantasy gamers can trust Chubb as a top-three fantasy running back in Week 15.

  • Nick Chubb Rushes For 59 Yards In Week 14

Cleveland Browns running back Nick Chubb carried the ball 17 times for 59 yards and added three receptions for six yards in a 24-22 win over the Baltimore Ravens in Week 14. Chubb struggled to get much going against the Ravens, although it wound up being a better performance than the first time these two teams met when he picked up just 16 rushing yards. The veteran running back will certainly be happy not to have to face Baltimore again in 2021. Chubb will be a good bounce-back candidate against the Las Vegas Raiders in Week 15.

  • Nick Chubb - Week 14 Outlook for Fantasy Football

Cleveland Browns running back Nick Chubb will take on the Baltimore Ravens at home in Week 14. Chubb should be fresh after a bye in Week 13 as he takes on the division-rival Ravens for the second time in three weeks. He struggled against Baltimore in Week 12 as he managed just 16 yards on eight rushes, although he did haul in two passes for 23 yards. Look for Cleveland to make a concerted effort to get Chubb more involved as they attempt to keep their playoff hopes alive in this important matchup. Chubb will have his work cut out for him as the Ravens are allowing the seventh-fewest fantasy points per game. Treat Chubb as a low-end RB1 for Week 14.

  • Nick Chubb Quiet In Week 12 Loss

Cleveland Browns running back Nick Chubb was uncharacteristically quiet in a 16-10 loss to the Baltimore Ravens in Week 12. Chubb gained just 16 yards on eight touches while adding two catches for 23 yards in the Sunday night loss. The Ravens did a nice job taking Chubb out of the game as Cleveland was unable to get anything going on the ground in the loss. The veteran running back will now enjoy a bye in Week 13 before he gets a rematch with Baltimore, this time at home in Cleveland.

  • Nick Chubb - Week 12 Outlook for Fantasy Football

Cleveland Browns running back Nick Chubb will head on the road to take on the Baltimore Ravens in Week 12's Sunday Night Football contest. Chubb looked good in his return from the reserve/COVID-19 list in Week 11, running for 130 yards and scoring a receiving touchdown. The Ravens have been a neutral matchup for opposing running back, allowing the 17th-fewest fantasy points per game to the position in 2021. Running back Kareem Hunt (calf) also plans to play in Week 12 after getting designated for return from the injured list earlier in the week. Even if Hunt is back, fantasy gamers can trust Chubb as a low-end RB1/high-end RB2 for Week 12.

  • Jack Conklin Designated To Return From Injured Reserve

The Cleveland Browns designated right tackle Jack Conklin (elbow) to return from injured reserve on Wednesday, giving them 21 days to add him to the 53-man roster. Conklin has missed the past three games after dislocating his elbow in a Week 8 loss to the Pittsburgh Steelers. The addition of Conklin will be a big boost to Nick Chubb and the rest of the Cleveland running game as he is widely considered one of the better right tackles in the league. Conklin has a good chance to be active for his team's Week 12 showdown against the Baltimore Ravens on Sunday night.

  • Nick Chubb - Week 11 Outlook for Fantasy Football

Cleveland Browns running back Nick Chubb was activated from the league's reserve/COVID-19 list on Friday just in time for an excellent matchup against the Detroit Lions in Week 11. Detroit has struggled to contain opposing running backs this year, allowing the third-most fantasy points per game to the position thus far. With Detroit likely to start backup quarterback Tim Boyle and the Browns installed as 11.5-point home favorites, look for Chubb to see a healthy workload on Sunday. Fantasy gamers can treat Chubb as a top-five running back for Week 11.

  • Nick Chubb Activated From Reserve/COVID-19 List

The Cleveland Browns officially activated running back Nick Chubb from the reserve/COVID-19 list on Friday. He is eligible to play in Sunday's game against the Detroit Lions. The 25-year-old was trending in the right direction to return after he missed the Week 10 blowout loss to the New England Patriots. Chubb has rushed for 721 yards on 120 attempts and six touchdowns while catching eight passes for 69 yards over seven games this season. The Georgia product is a surefire RB1 against a Lions defense ranked 30th in rush DVOA this season.

  • Nick Chubb Trending In The Right Direction

Cleveland Browns offensive coordinator Alex Van Pelt said that running back Nick Chubb is trending in the right direction, and the team is hoping to get him back from the COVID-19 list this week in order to play in Week 11 against the winless Detroit Lions. Chubb missed the Week 10 blowout loss to the New England Patriots and must provide two negative COVID-19 tests in order to be activated, but that could come any day now. With Chubb, rookie Demetric Felton and John Kelly all on the COVID-19 list last week, D'Ernest Johnson had the backfield to himself and ran for 99 yards. As long as Chubb gets cleared, he'll be a no-brainer RB1 against the worst team in the NFL this Sunday.

  • Nick Chubb, Demetric Felton Ruled Out

Cleveland Browns running backs Nick Chubb and Demetric Felton remain on the Reserve/COVID-19 list and have been ruled out for Week 10 against the New England Patriots. The Browns were holding out hope that Chubb would be able to play this Sunday, but he wasn't able to deliver two negative tests 24 hours apart. With both Chubb and Felton out and Kareem Hunt (calf) still on Injured Reserve, D'Ernest Johnson will serve as the team's lead running back against the Patriots. John Kelly is also on the COVID-19 list, so the Browns will likely call up recently signed running back Brian Hill to the active roster to back Johnson up on Sunday. With the big volume increase this weekend, Johnson will be in the RB2 picture for Week 10.

  • Browns Holding Out Hope For Nick Chubb

Cleveland Browns offensive coordinator Alex Van Pelt said that there is still a chance that running back Nick Chubb comes off the Reserve/COVID-19 list in time to play on Sunday against the New England Patriots. Chubb and rookie Demetric Felton, who is also on the list, must provide two negative tests 24 hours apart in order to be cleared for this weekend's game. But with just one more day until the game, it remains unlikely that we'll see either back play in Week 10. With Kareem Hunt (calf) on Injured Reserve for at least another week, D'Ernest Johnson will be the team's primary ball-carrier if Chubb and Felton aren't cleared by Sunday. For the volume alone in this run-heavy offense, Johnson will have RB2 upside against the Pats if Chubb isn't activated.

  • Nick Chubb, Demetric Felton Test Positive For COVID-19

Cleveland Browns running backs Nick Chubb and Demetric Felton have tested positive for COVID-19, according to sources. Both players are vaccinated, so they would need two negative tests 24 hours apart in order to come off the Reserve/COVID-19 list and play in Week 10 against the New England Patriots. If Chubb cannot gain clearance before Sunday's game, D'Ernest Johnson would get another shot at the lead-back role for Cleveland with Kareem Hunt (calf) still currently on Injured Reserve. It's a tough blow for Chubb and his fantasy managers, as he's coming off a 137-yard, two-touchdown performance in the Week 9 win over the Cincinnati Bengals. The team's other RB, John Kelly, is also on the COVID-19 list, so Johnson is the only healthy RB on the team's current roster. Johnson would have RB2 upside if Chubb isn't available this weekend.

  • Wyatt Teller Inks Four-Year Extension With Cleveland

The Cleveland Browns have signed right guard Wyatt Teller to a four-year extension on Tuesday. After the season, he was set to become a free agent, but the Browns and Teller ultimately agreed on a four-year deal. The 26-year-old is under contract through 2025. Teller started 11 games for Cleveland in 2020 and had missed time due to an ankle injury. His Pro Football Focus grade in the last two seasons is 92.9 overall. Teller's presence on the offensive line helps RB Nick Chubb and the Browns running game.

  • Nick Chubb Scores Twice In Week 9

Cleveland Browns running back Nick Chubb turned in an excellent performance in a 41-16 win over the Cincinnati Bengals in Week 9. Chubb carried the ball 14 times for 137 yards and two touchdowns while adding two catches for 26 yards in the win. The veteran running back found the end zone on a one-yard run in the second quarter but he saved his best work until after halftime. Chubb took a third-quarter handoff 70 yards for a touchdown to help put the game out of reach. He will look to keep it going in Week 10's road showdown against the New England Patriots.

  • Nick Chubb - Week 9 Outlook for Fantasy Football

Cleveland Browns running back Nick Chubb practiced fully on Wednesday as he appears to be completely over the calf issue that cost him games in Weeks 6 and 7. After posting 61 scoreless yards in Week 8, Chubb will look to get back into the end zone in a Week 9 matchup against the Cincinnati Bengals. Cincinnati represents a decent matchup for Chubb as they are allowing the 12th-most fantasy points per game to running backs in 2021. Chubb should see plenty of work as the Browns try to keep pace with a Bengals team that has been excellent on offense this year. Fantasy gamers can trust Chubb as a low-end RB1 in Week 9.

  • Nick Chubb - Week 8 Outlook for Fantasy Football

Cleveland Browns running back Nick Chubb (calf) returned from a two-game absence to log limited practices on Wednesday and Thursday this week. Barring a setback, Chubb appears to be on track to return to the field for his team's Week 8 matchup against the Pittsburgh Steelers. The veteran running back will draw a difficult matchup against the Steelers in Week 8 as Pittsburgh is allowing the seventh-fewest fantasy points per game to opposing running backs thus far. Depending on how his calf responds, Chubb could see some extra work on Sunday with Kareem Hunt (calf) on injured reserve with a calf injury of his own. Fantasy gamers can treat Chubb as a low-end RB1 for Week 8.

  • Nick Chubb Puts In Limited Practice Wednesday

Cleveland Browns running back Nick Chubb (calf), who has missed the last two games, was a limited practice participant on Wednesday. Chubb is expected to return as the team's lead back for a divisional matchup against the Pittsburgh Steelers on Halloween this Sunday. The 25-year-old may not see a huge workload in his first game back, but Kareem Hunt (calf) also remains on Injured Reserve. Expect to see D'Ernest Johnson, who ran for well over 100 yards and a score against the Denver Broncos last week, to mix in alongside rookie Demetric Felton behind Chubb this weekend. Because it's possible that Chubb may not see his normal allotment of snaps against the Steelers, he'll be more of a low-end RB1/high-end RB2, but there's no doubt he should be returned to all starting fantasy lineups.

  • Nick Chubb Hopeful To Return On Sunday

Cleveland Browns running back Nick Chubb(calf) has been back at practice this week and is hopeful that he'll be able to return against the Steelers this weekend. He didn't go so far as to say he was definitely playing, but he continues to work his way back in practice, which is a good sign. With Kareem Hunt(calf) out, Chubb could be expected to see a large workload if he returns this week. However, given his recent injury, it would be smart for the Browns to work another running back in with him. From what we've seen, we can expect the Browns to split the Hunt work between D'Ernest Johnson and Demetric Felton. Johnson would likely get the rushing attempts to spell Chubb after his big game last week, while Felton would be used in the receiving game when Chubb needs a rest. As a result, neither backup seems like a confident flex play outside of deeper leagues.

  • Nick Chubb Expected To Return In Week 8

Cleveland Browns running back Nick Chubb (calf) is expected to return to game action in Week 8 against the division-rival Pittsburgh Steelers this Sunday, barring any setbacks in practice this week, according to a league source. Chubb returned to practice after missing the last two games, but he should be back this weekend as Cleveland's primary back. D'Ernest Johnson did an excellent job last Thursday in the win over the Denver Broncos when he rushed for 146 yards and a touchdown on 22 carries, but he'll revert to a backup role with Chubb set to return. It doesn't mean Johnson won't be fantasy relevant, though, as Kareem Hunt (calf) had plenty of standalone value behind Chubb before he landed on Injured Reserve. Johnson could still remain a factor as an RB3/flex until Hunt returns.

  • Nick Chubb Returns To Practice

Cleveland Browns running back Nick Chubb (calf) returned to practice on Monday ahead of the team's Week 8 matchup with the Pittsburgh Steelers. Chubb has missed the past two games but seems to be on track to return this week after getting some work in on Monday. Upon his return to the lineup, Chubb will remain a lower-end RB1, but he could see an even larger role with Kareem Hunt being sidelined. D'Ernest Johnson was impressive in Week 7, so it is unlikely his role is nonexistent moving forward. Still, Chubb figures to see the majority of carries and high-value touches close to the goal-line, so fantasy managers can count on him to produce at an elite level on the ground.

  • Browns Hopeful Nick Chubb Will Return In Week 8

Cleveland Browns head coach Kevin Stefanski said he's "hopeful" that running back Nick Chubb (calf) and right tackle Jack Conklin (knee) can return for a Week 8 showdown with the division-rival Pittsburgh Steelers on Oct. 31. Chubb has missed the last two games with injury, but with an extra 10 days of rest before their next game, he has a good chance of being ready to go as the team's lead back. Backup D'Ernest Johnson put the league on notice by gaining 146 yards on the ground and a touchdown on 22 carries in the Thursday night win over the Denver Broncos, but he'll likely serve in a change-of-pace role once Chubb is back. Kareem Hunt (calf) will miss at least two more games while on Injured Reserve. Chubb will be a must-start RB1 in Cleveland's No. 1 rushing offense when he returns to action.
