Ranking Lamar Jackson at QB5, I mention how bullish I am on Lamar and the whole Ravens offense. Ah, but here is the rub. I also question whether Andrews should be the clear-cut TE2 as the ADP would have us believe. Why? The Ravens finally have good depth at receiver. This removes the narrow tree Andrews enjoyed to rise to prominence. My recommendation is pass on Andrews at or around his current draft cost.

Mark Andrews Quiet In Loss To Colts

Baltimore Ravens tight end Mark Andrews wasn't able to get much going in a disappointing 22-19 loss to the Colts. The 28-year-old hauled in four catches on five targets for just 35 yards. He wasn't able to find the endzone this time around and his poor fantasy performance was proof of that. Andrews still has the volume of targets, but he hasn't replicated his big-time finishes from the past couple of seasons. In Week 4 he'll have a tougher matchup against the Browns but will try to right the ship and get back to being a top-three tight end.

Mark Andrews Remains A Must-Start Against Colts

Baltimore Ravens tight end Mark Andrews played in his first game of the season in Week 2 and immediately saw eight targets while catching five of them for 45 yards and a touchdown. Whenever Lamar Jackson and Andrews are on the field together, the veteran tight end is a must-start. The target volume will remain second to only Travis Kelce and the team's gameplan will likely feature a higher amount of passing against a team that just allowed 384 yards through the air against the Texans. Managers can consider Andrews a TE1 like usual this week.

Mark Andrews Scores In His Season Debut

Baltimore Ravens tight end Mark Andrews made his season debut after missing Week 1, and he didn't disappoint. The Oklahoma product finished the game with 45 yards and a touchdown while hauling in five of his eight targets. Lamar Jackson's safety valve is back on the field and the volume of targets that he received just reiterated how big of a fantasy asset that Andrews will be. As long as he's healthy, Andrews will be the set-it-and-forget-it type of player on every roster. He's entering Week 3 against the Colts as a TE1.

Mark Andrews Expected To Play In Week 2

Baltimore Ravens tight end Mark Andrews (quad) is expected to play against the Cincinnati Bengals on Sunday despite being listed as questionable, per NFL Network's Ian Rapoport. The star tight end went from missing the season opener to practicing in full this past Friday. His return bodes well for Lamar Jackson and the Ravens' offense as a whole. Meanwhile, Andrews, who totaled 73 catches, 847 yards, and five touchdowns last season, should immediately be viewed as a high-end TE1 in fantasy football.

Mark Andrews Gets Questionable Tag For Week 2

Baltimore Ravens tight end Mark Andrews (quadriceps) was listed as questionable for Week 2 against the division-rival Cincinnati Bengals on the team's final injury report for Week 2, but the good news is that he was upgraded to a full practice participant on Friday. The Ravens held the Pro Bowl tight end out of their Week 1 win over the Houston Texans, but it's looking more likely that he'll make his 2023 debut this weekend on the road in Cincinnati. Fantasy managers will know right away whether the 28-year-old is active, too, as the Ravens play in the early slot this Sunday. If Andrews is active, fantasy managers should lock him into their starting lineups as one of quarterback Lamar Jackson's favorite targets through the air.

Mark Andrews Limited In Practice Again

Baltimore Ravens tight end Mark Andrews (quadriceps) was limited in practice yet again on Thursday. The Ravens are taking things slowly with Andrews, and he figures to be listed as questionable for the second straight week after he was inactive in the Week 1 win over the Houston Texans. The 28-year-old is improving, but fantasy managers will need to have a backup on hand in case he misses the Week 2 meeting with the division-rival Cincinnati Bengals this Sunday. When Andrews is active, he's a must-start in all fantasy lineups as one of the best tight ends in the league and one of quarterback Lamar Jackson's favorite targets over the middle of the field. If Andrews misses a second straight game, Isaiah Likely will again operate as the lead TE for Baltimore, but fantasy managers should be able to find better streaming options at the position.

Mark Andrews Practices On Wednesday

Baltimore Ravens tight end Mark Andrews (quad) participated in practice on Wednesday. The Pro Bowler missed the Week 1 contest against the Houston Texans, but his early-week participation is a good sign for Week 2. Baltimore squares off with the Cincinnati Bengals in Week 2, and Andrews is a must-start in all matchups. If he misses the contest, Isaiah Likely is tough to trust in fantasy lineups after catching just one pass on one target for four yards in Week 1.

Mark Andrews Looking Better

Baltimore Ravens tight end Mark Andrews (quadriceps), who missed the Week 1 win over the Houston Texans, appears to be doing better this week. "Mark looks good. We'll see how he does [in practice this week]," head coach John Harbaugh said. The 28-year-old isn't believed to be dealing with a serious injury, but the Ravens decided to play it safe with their star tight end to open the 2023 regular season. He should have a better shot at making his season debut in Week 2 against the Cincinnati Bengals, but we won't really know for sure until later this week after a couple practices. If Andrews is active this weekend, he'll be a must-start in fantasy lineups. Isaiah Likely had just one catch for four yards on one target in Week 1 with Andrews inactive.

Mark Andrews Officially Inactive For Week 1

Baltimore Ravens tight end Mark Andrews (quadriceps) is officially inactive for Sunday's season opener against the Houston Texans. He was listed as questionable entering the weekend, but reports late Saturday night suggested Andrews would be unable to suit up. Indeed, he'll miss Week 1 while Isaiah Likely handles starting tight end duties for Baltimore. Likely averaged 15.8 points per game when Andrews exited early or was inactive last season, so he should be considered an appealing low-end TE1 in fantasy football.

Mark Andrews Expected To Miss Opener

According to NFL Media's Ian Rapoport, Baltimore Ravens tight end Mark Andrews (quadriceps) isn't expected to play on Sunday against the Texans. The veteran has recently dealt with a quad injury, so Lamar Jackson won't have his No. 1 target to start the year. Of course, the question now is if Andrews will be healthy for the Week 2 AFC North meeting with the Bengals. But as far as Week 1 is concerned, Isaiah Likely could be a sneaky fantasy option in deeper formats. At the same time, DFS participants looking for value may also look in Likely's direction.

Mark Andrews Questionable For Season Opener

Baltimore Ravens tight end Mark Andrews (quad) is questionable to play in Sunday's game against the Houston Texans. He had been limited in practice all week long. Andrews was productive when healthy last year, racking up 73 receptions, 847 yards, and five touchdowns through 15 games. Whenever he's on the field, fantasy managers should prepare for him to rank in the high-end TE1 tier. We'll get confirmation about his Week 1 status by 11:30 a.m. ET on Sunday.

Mark Andrews Back At Wednesday's Practice

Baltimore Ravens tight end Mark Andrews (undisclosed) has been out of practice dating back to the middle of last week, but he returned to the practice field on Wednesday. This news gives fantasy managers a sigh of relief, as he should be in line to face the Houston Texans in the Week 1 season-opener on Sunday. Andrews will face additional target competition in Odell Beckham Jr. and Zay Flower this year but given the scarcity of high-end producers at the position, he should not be benched in any matchup. Ultimately, he has the most chemistry with Lamar Jackson among all Ravens pass-catchers and should continue to be a high-end TE1 in fantasy football.

Mark Andrews Expected To Practice This Week

Updating from a previous post, Baltimore Ravens tight end Mark Andrews (undisclosed) is expected to return to practice this week ahead of the Week 1 matchup with the Houston Texans. The Pro Bowler has missed the last several practices dating back to last week, but as long as he returns to the field soon, he should be good to go for Week 1. Against an overmatched Texans roster, Andrews should be viewed as an elite fantasy option at the position. He'll have more target competition this year in Odell Beckham Jr. and Rashod Bateman, but he has established chemistry with Lamar Jackson and should not be mightily impacted by the new faces in the pass-catching group.

Mark Andrews Misses Practice Monday

Baltimore Ravens tight end Mark Andrews (undisclosed) is not practicing on Monday after missing on-field work last week. Injury reports will now carry more weight since the start of the regular season kicks off this week, so his injury is beginning to become more concerning. There is no clarity on what is keeping him out of practice for now, so fantasy managers should continue to monitor his status ahead of the Week 1 game against the Houston Texans. If he's active, he should be viewed as a top-three tight end in fantasy football for Week 1. If he's out, Isaiah Likely would become an intriguing streaming option.

Mark Andrews Moving Around Well

Baltimore Ravens tight end Mark Andrews (undisclosed) did not practice on Wednesday but worked out on an adjacent field and looked to be running well. The Ravens continue to be extra cautious with their star tight end due to an undisclosed ailment. His injury appears to be very minor and he's fully expected to be ready to rock for Week 1 of the regular season against the Houston Texans. The 27-year-old's minor injury shouldn't dissuade fantasy managers from making him the second tight end off the draft board at the position behind the Chiefs' Travis Kelce. Baltimore has added a few more receiving options this offseason, but Andrews remains one of quarterback Lamar Jackson's go-to targets through the air.

Mark Andrews Expected To Be Ready For Week 1

Baltimore Ravens head coach John Harbaugh said there is no need to panic about tight end Mark Andrews' (undisclosed) status for the start of the 2023 regular season. Harbaugh expects Andrews to practice next week and play in Week 1 against the Houston Texans on Sept. 10. The 27-year-old missed a third straight day of practice on Monday, but the team is being cautious with their star tight end with over a week to go until the games count. As long as he returns to practice next week as expected, fantasy managers should treat him as a must-start, top-three TE1 in fantasy lineups. Despite the addition of veteran receiver Odell Beckham Jr. and rookie first-round wideout Zay Flowers, Andrews is expected to remain one of quarterback Lamar Jackson's go-to targets in 2023.

Mark Andrews Could Remain Lamar Jackson's Go-To Target

If training camp practices are any indication, Baltimore Ravens tight end Mark Andrews will remain quarterback Lamar Jackson's go-to target in the passing game in 2023 despite the additions of receivers Odell Beckham Jr., Nelson Agholor and rookie first-rounder Zay Flowers and the return of a healthy Rashod Bateman. The Athletic's Jeff Zrebiec writes that Jackson loves throwing the ball between the numbers to his big and athletic tight end, and they've built a strong chemistry over the years. The 27-year-old certainly will have more competition for targets, but as long as he stays healthy, fantasy managers are going to expect him to finish as a top-three TE1 with the Ravens looking to improve their passing game under new offensive coordinator Todd Monken.

Mark Andrews Dealing With Minor Injury

Baltimore Ravens head coach John Harbaugh said that tight end Mark Andrews (undisclosed) is dealing with something that "isn't serious." There's not much to see here, as Andrews should be just fine moving forward and for the start of the regular season in Week 1. The Ravens have some new pass-catching options in veteran Odell Beckham Jr. and rookie first-rounder Zay Flowers, but Andrews has excellent chemistry with quarterback Lamar Jackson and should remain a top target through the air in an offense that is hoping to improve the passing attack in 2023. Until further notice, fantasy managers should consider the 27-year-old Andrews to be a top-three fantasy tight end. The three-time Pro Bowler had 73 catches, 847 yards and five TDs in 15 starts in 2022.

Offseason In Review: Baltimore Ravens

The 2022 season was an up-and-down experience for the Baltimore Ravens. Despite some double-digit leads disappearing early in the year, the team put forth a strong first half before injuries threatened to waste a 7-3 start. The Ravens made the playoffs but saw the continuation of a troubling trend of early postseason exits. This offseason […]

Baltimore Ravens rookie wide receiver Zay Flowers was selected with the No. 22 overall pick in the 2023 NFL draft, meaning the team clearly expects him to be involved right away. In an interview on The Lounge podcast, Flowers said he has been playing all three wide receiver positions this offseason. "That's what I want. That's exactly what I want," Flowers said. "As long as I'm touching the ball, I feel like I can make a play from anywhere, no matter where it is." Versatility is never a bad thing for a receiver's fantasy football outlook, so it's a promising development. The Boston College product will start his career with plenty of target competition in Mark Andrews, Rashod Bateman, and Odell Beckham Jr., but the latter two have had plenty of injury issues over the last couple of seasons. That said, Flowers could find himself as a top-two option in the new-look Ravens offense led by offensive coordinator Todd Monken and quarterback Lamar Jackson. He has a wide range of fantasy football outcomes for his rookie campaign.
