Fantasy Advice

I'll admit that I'm a little concerned about Allen. Not enough to push him down the rankings, yet, but a caution flag is warranted. The friction with Stefon Diggs is not good. Unless rookie TE Dalton Kincaid can hit the ground running, which is a low probability bet, the skill positions on the Bills are not deep. Allen could, and perhaps should, run less. On the flip side, perhaps OC Ken Dorsey learned and can improve from his first year in the position, benefiting Allen.

    Headshot for Josh Allen

Joe Brady will have a chance to continue in his current position. As the Bills considered outside options as well, their interim OC was believed to be the favorite for the job. He now has it. • Joe Brady Now Bills Full-Time Offensive Coordinator

    Headshot for Josh Allen

The Bills named Joe Brady their full-time offensive coordinator on Sunday. Buffalo began the 2023-24 campaign with Ken Dorsey holding the position. However, the team's offense struggled under Dorsey this season, resulting in his dismissal in November. But things improved when Brady took over, eventually resulting in the Bills capturing the AFC East title. Nonetheless, Brady's presence could continue to have a positive impact on Buffalo's offense, especially on Josh Allen, who was the best fantasy signal-caller throughout the year.

  • Josh Allen Not Planning For Surgery On His Shoulder

    Headshot for Josh Allen

Buffalo Bills quarterback Josh Allen (shoulder) popped up on the injury report in week 7 with a right-shoulder injury but never missed a game the entire season despite staying on the injury report with the shoulder issue until Week 16. At his season-ending press conference, Allen said he's not planning to have any type of surgery on his shoulder. "It just felt like it kept getting better as the season went on," Allen said. "And especially these last probably four weeks, felt like it didn't bother me at all. So yeah, I don't think there's anything." While his shoulder affected him at times, Allen said he's feeling good now and is looking forward to having a normal offseason. The 27-year-old was the QB1 overall for fantasy during the regular season and will be one of the first few signal-callers off the board in 2024 drafts.

While an ill-timed wind gust is partially responsible for the Bills’ divisional-round elimination, the team’s offense struggled to make explosive plays in its 27-24 loss to the Chiefs. • Josh Allen Wants Joe Brady Back As Offensive Coordinator

    Headshot for Josh Allen

Buffalo Bills quarterback Josh Allen wants offensive coordinator Joe Brady to return in 2024. Brady took over the offensive-coordinator role after head coach Sean McDermott fired Ken Dorsey in the middle of the 2023 season. Brady is a candidate for the Atlanta Falcons' head-coaching job, and it's unclear if Buffalo will offer the offensive coordinator job full time. "I would fully embrace it," Allen said when asked about keeping Brady in place. "I love Joe. I love what he brings to this team, to our offense, the juice that he has, the passion that he has for football. How much preparation he's put into a tough situation these last seven to eight weeks." The Bills became more of a running team with Brady calling the plays, which would certainly benefit running back James Cook next season if Brady sticks around.

  • Josh Allen's Three Scores Not Enough As Bills Fall

    Headshot for Josh Allen

Buffalo Bills quarterback Josh Allen totaled three touchdowns as his team was eliminated from the postseason in Sunday's 27-24 Divisional Round loss to the Kansas City Chiefs, completing 26-of-39 for 186 yards and adding 72 yards on 12 carries. The Bills imposed their will in the trenches during the first half, which was punctuated by short Allen rushing scores on two QB keepers. Allen found Khalil Shakir from 13 yards out to continue Sunday's seesaw affair, putting Buffalo up temporarily in the third quarter. With the loss, the Bills fell in the Divisional Round at home in back-to-back years. And after the Chiefs held Allen to a season-low 5.5 yards per attempt in Week 14, they doubled down to allow 4.8 YPA on Sunday. Buffalo's offseason moves remain to be seen, but it's clear that impending free agent Gabe Davis' (knee) absence was felt with Stefon Diggs scuffling down the stretch. Regardless, Allen will be a top-two QB1 in 2024 fantasy drafts.

  • Josh Allen Takes Aim At Weak Spot Against Chiefs

    Headshot for Josh Allen

Buffalo Bills quarterback Josh Allen finished as the wild-card weekend's overall QB1 with 33.5 fantasy points in Monday's win over the Pittsburgh Steelers. For the third time in the last four postseasons, Allen will lock up with fellow superstar signal-caller Patrick Mahomes in Sunday's Divisional Round versus the Kansas City Chiefs. The Chiefs held opposing QBs to the second-fewest yards per attempt (5.4) in the regular season, and Allen felt their wrath back when these teams met in Week 14 for his single-game low in YPA (5.5). Luckily for Allen, his dual-threat prowess should come in handy against a man-heavy K.C. defense that allowed an NFL-high 91 carries to QBs as well as the ninth-most rushing yards (342) to the position this year. In six matchups all told with the Chiefs since 2020, Allen is averaging 269.1 passing yards with an overall 15:3 TD:INT alongside 53.5 rushing yards and two total rushing scores.

  • Josh Allen's Four Scores Lift Bills To Divisional Round

    Headshot for Josh Allen

Buffalo Bills quarterback Josh Allen was too much for the Pittsburgh Steelers in Monday's 31-17 wild-card win, completing 21-of-30 passes for 203 yards and three touchdowns with 74 yards on eight carries plus a rushing score. Buffalo's opening possession produced a systematic scoring drive that was capped off by a nine-yard TD pass to Dawson Knox. Allen then may have caught Pittsburgh's defense off guard after a sudden change of possession, slinging a 29-yard pass to Dalton Kincaid for his second score. None of the Steelers could catch Allen on an exhilarating 52-yard run to the house in the second quarter, completing the dual-threat signal-caller's first-half hat trick. Though his receiver did most of the work, Allen connected with Khalil Shakir in the fourth period for his fourth TD to put the Bills ahead 31-17 late. For the third time in four years, Allen will have a playoff duel with Patrick Mahomes at home next Sunday in the Divisional Round.

  • Josh Allen Should Be Busy As Rusher Monday

    Headshot for Josh Allen

Buffalo Bills quarterback Josh Allen turned heads yet again in 2023, closing as fantasy's overall QB1 for the third time in the last four years, with the exception being a QB2 finish in 2022. Allen leads the way with an $8,000 salary on DraftKings for Monday's wild-card tilt versus the Pittsburgh Steelers, but weather could still play a part despite the game being pushed back from Sunday. The absence of the game-wrecking T.J. Watt (knee) is a massive boon for the outlook of the entire Bills offense; the All-Pro linebacker led the NFL in sacks (19.0). Expect Buffalo to lean on Allen as a runner, which is something they did with regularity down the stretch of the regular season. Over his final six games of the campaign, Allen picked up 9.7 carries for 43.8 yards per contest with eight total touchdowns. If you're paying up for Allen on Monday, understand that the frigid conditions may render it difficult for him to get in sync as a thrower.

  • Josh Allen Ready To Rock For Week 18 Main Event

    Headshot for Josh Allen

Although there was never much doubt regarding his game status, Buffalo Bills quarterback Josh Allen (neck) was removed from Friday's injury report ahead of Sunday night's matchup with the Miami Dolphins. Allen sustained a stinger late in Week 17's win over the New England Patriots, but he proceeded to log full activity in each of his three practice sessions. The 27-year-old superstar may not have a strong case in taking home the NFL MVP award this season, but he is certainly a candidate to be fantasy's MVP. Though Allen holds the second-most turnovers (19) among signal-callers, he leads the way with 24.1 fantasy points per game over 16 contests. Allen lit up Miami for a season-high four passing touchdowns back in Week 4 and should be treated as the top QB1 on Sunday's full slate in a game tied for the highest implied point total (48) despite his recent struggles through the air, with the Bills vying for the AFC East crown.

  • Josh Allen Still Practicing In Full

    Headshot for Josh Allen

Buffalo Bills quarterback Josh Allen (finger, neck) was a full-go in the team's practice for the second straight day on Thursday. Allen suffered a neck stinger on a hard hit late in the team's Week 17 win over the New England Patriots, but the Bills have not been concerned at all and the 27-year-old signal-caller will be ready to go for a huge Sunday night matchup against the Miami Dolphins in the Week 18 regular season finale. The Bills will win the AFC East if they beat the Dolphins and they could miss the playoffs entirely if they lose, so there is a lot riding on this contest. Allen is going to be the highest-priced fantasy QB in DFS contests this weekend, and rightfully so. He's currently the overall QB1 in total fantasy points and scored five touchdowns against the Dolphins in their first meeting back in Week 4 in Buffalo.

  • Josh Allen Practices In Full To Begin Week 18 Prep

    Headshot for Josh Allen

Buffalo Bills quarterback Josh Allen (neck, finger) is still dealing with a sore neck on Wednesday, according to head coach Sean McDermott. However, he was a full participant in the team's walkthrough practice to begin the week, and he is not at risk of missing the crucial Week 18 matchup with the Miami Dolphins. The winner of that showdown will clinch the AFC East and the right to host a Wild Card game, so a minor neck injury is not going to keep Allen out of action. He remains a high-end QB1 for fantasy leagues that extend to Week 18. Allen said himself he's "good to go" for Week 18's Sunday night game.

  • Josh Allen's Neck Soreness Won't Impact Week 18 Status

    Headshot for Josh Allen

Buffalo Bills quarterback Josh Allen (neck) came out of Sunday's game against the New England Patriots banged up after taking a rough hit late. He came out of that contest with an extremely sore neck. But on Tuesday, Bills head coach Sean McDermott said Allen's neck stinger won't likely impact his practice status during the week. With the AFC East title on the line against the Miami Dolphins, there should be no doubt that the 27-year-old quarterback will be out there in a must-win game. Allen might be limited in practice to start the week, but he should be a full-go by Sunday.

  • Josh Allen Dealing With Minor Neck Soreness

    Headshot for Josh Allen

Buffalo Bills head coach Sean McDermott said that quarterback Josh Allen (neck) is dealing with some minor neck soreness coming out of the Week 17 win over the New England Patriots. When asked if the injury will affect Allen's status in practice this week, McDermott said, "not that I'm aware of." The 33rd Team's Ari Meirov reports that Allen suffered a stinger on Sunday. The 27-year-old might be limited in some practice sessions this week, but he's ultimately going to play in a huge Week 18 divisional tilt against the Miami Dolphins that will decide the winner of the AFC East. The Dolphins are limping into the final regular season contest after getting absolutely destroyed by the Baltimore Ravens. Allen, the QB1 in overall fantasy points, will be a must-start in all lineups. In the first game against Miami in Week 4, he threw for 320 yards, four touchdowns and no interceptions while also running one in.

  • Josh Allen Sneaks His Way To Two Touchdowns

    Headshot for Josh Allen

The Buffalo Bills and quarterback Josh Allen (shoulder) took care of business in Week 17 for a 27-21 win over the New England Patriots. Allen completed just 15-of-30 attempts for 169 yards and an interception, failing to record a passing touchdown for the first time this year and registering a season-low 53.3 passer rating. But the dual-threat superstar got the job done on the ground, rushing a season-high 11 times for 44 yards and two scores. The Bills fell into an early 7-0 hole courtesy of a kickoff return TD and went three-and-out on their first series, but they quickly climbed out of it with a 20-point first half. Allen broke the plane on two QB sneaks, with one arriving in the first quarter and the next early in the third period to give Buffalo a commanding two-score lead. Despite a late shoulder stinger, Allen will almost certainly be out there in Week 18 against the Miami Dolphins for the division crown, which should be a very popular contest for DFS.

  • Josh Allen Aims To Carve Up Patriots Again

    Headshot for Josh Allen

Fully showing a rare blend of passing ability and rushing prowess, Buffalo Bills quarterback Josh Allen is set to finish as fantasy's MVP among signal-callers. Allen enters Sunday versus the New England Patriots trailing only Jalen Hurts in QB rushing touchdowns (13) and paces the field in deep ball attempts (68), air yards (4,315), fantasy points per dropback (0.68), and fantasy points per game (24.2). Down but not out in the real-life MVP race, Allen has destroyed head coach Bill Belichick's defense for a 117.1 passer rating, 1,050 yards, and a 12:2 TD:INT with 119 rushing yards and a rushing score over his last four games against the Patriots. Let's not forget that Allen also diced up New England for five passing TDs and 66 ground yards in the AFC Wild Card game back in January of 2022. Going punch for punch in fantasy scoring all year, Allen and Hurts appropriately rank neck and neck for top QB1 treatment for Week 17's fantasy finals.

  • Josh Allen Draws Soft Week 16 Matchup

    Headshot for Josh Allen

Buffalo Bills quarterback Josh Allen remains fantasy's overall QB1 in points scored despite a season-low 94 passing yards in Week 15's smackdown of the Dallas Cowboys. The MVP candidate may have disappointed fantasy managers a bit in that one, but Allen simply had to hand the ball off to running back James Cook and his dynamic tailback did the rest. On the bright side, last Sunday did mark the improvising Allen's first game without an interception since early October. In Week 16, Allen meets with a Los Angeles Chargers team that was just blasted by fourth-round rookie Aidan O'Connell for fantasy's overall QB3 result. The Bolts defense has also given up fifth-most fantasy points to QBs. The Bills shouldn't feel much resistance against a defensive unit that's struggled in just about every facet this year, with the possibility of a blowout in Buffalo's favor about the only caveat working against Allen on Saturday. He's a set-and-forget QB1.

  • Josh Allen Doesn't Have To Do Much As Bills Roll

    Headshot for Josh Allen

Buffalo Bills quarterback Josh Allen cruised along in Week 15's 31-10 blowout win over the Dallas Cowboys, completing 7-of-15 passes for 94 yards and a touchdown with eight carries for 24 yards and another score. It was simply all Buffalo from the get-go in a heavyweight bout that didn't quite deliver. The obvious season lows across the board may mislead fantasy managers into thinking Allen didn't play well, as the improvising signal-caller simply didn't need to do much with running back James Cook detonating for 221 yards and two TDs. Allen hooked up with Cook for an 18-yard score and later plunged into the end zone on a one-yard QB sneak in the first half, and that was all she wrote from a fantasy perspective for Allen on Sunday. The two-time Pro Bowler has a glowing opportunity to drop the hammer on a Los Angeles Chargers team that could be going through the motions in Week 16 on Saturday night.

  • Josh Allen Looks To Make Inroads In MVP Race

    Headshot for Josh Allen

The only aspect missing from Buffalo Bills quarterback Josh Allen's 2023 MVP candidacy is a winning record akin to the other nominees ahead of him. But Allen has a big chance in Week 15 to help his case and make inroads in the race, as the 27-year-old two-time Pro Bowler takes on MVP candidate Dak Prescott and the Dallas Cowboys. Allen has an interception in each of his last nine games since Week 5, but that's a nitpick for fantasy managers who can't complain about the superstar's league-best 24.7 fantasy points per game overall. Since an ugly four-turnover regular-season opener, Allen has rattled off 12 straight outings with multiple all-purpose touchdowns. Using his legs more frequently of late (8.0 carries per game since Week 11), Allen is a no-brainer QB1 despite a stiff draw on paper. Sunday's matchup features the second-highest implied point total (49.5) on Sunday's slate, meaning a shootout could be in store here.

  • Josh Allen Does Just Enough For Week 14 Win

    Headshot for Josh Allen

Buffalo Bills quarterback Josh Allen did just enough to guide his team to an important 20-17 win over the Kansas City Chiefs in Week 14, completing 23-of-42 passes for 233 yards, one touchdown and one interception. He carried the ball 10 times for 32 yards and another score. After slinging a 25-yard TD pass to running back James Cook in the first period, Allen carried a host of Chiefs defenders on his way past the end zone during his six-yard rushing score in the second quarter. Allen's pick later in the period gave the Chiefs a short field to work with, which later led to their first scoring drive of the evening. Buffalo's offense was strong in the first half but had to settle for field goals as K.C.'s stingy defense stiffened during the final two quarters. Allen will need to sharpen things up and be at his best next Sunday versus the Dallas Cowboys if he wants to simultaneously propel the Bills toward the playoffs and make inroads in the MVP race.

    Headshot for Josh Allen

After a Week 13 bye to decompress from Week 12's 37-31 overtime loss to the Philadelphia Eagles, quarterback Josh Allen looks to get the 6-6 Buffalo Bills on a run for a playoff push. Allen's 40-point fantasy masterclass at the rain-soaked Lincoln Financial Field bolstered his stay atop signal-callers in fantasy points per game (25.0). The 27-year-old superstar thrived in the elements during that one, scampering for a season-high 81 ground yards in the defeat. With his 13 interceptions the only blemish holding him back from a truly dominant campaign, Allen leads the NFL in total touchdowns (33) and has ended as fantasy's overall QB8 or better in nine out of 12 outings. After Jordan Love lit up a rigid Kansas City Chiefs defense for three passing scores in Week 13, Allen's rejuvenated rushing aptitude keeps him ranked as an every-week QB1 in this possible Week 14 shootout despite a tough matchup on paper.
