D.J. Moore Leads Bears With 104 Yards

Chicago Bears wide receiver D.J. Moore caught a team-high six passes for 104 yards in the team's disappointing loss to the Buccaneers 27-17. Moore made the most of his seven targets, including an impressive 32-yard reception on the first drive. The Bears offense is currently in shambles but it was nice to see Moore rise from the ashes to post a solid fantasy line. The path to Chicago's offensive success will need to run through the standout receiver moving forward and Moore will carry borderline WR2 value heading into next week against the Chiefs.

DJ Moore - Week 2 Outlook for Fantasy Football

Chicago Bears wide receiver D.J. Moore will head into Week 2 hoping the team schemes open more opportunities for him against Tampa Bay. Moore only registered two receptions on two targets in the Bears embarrassing loss to the Packers in Week 1. A breakdown of the film revealed that Moore was open on several occasions but quarterback Justin Fields declined to get him the ball. Moore will go up against a Bucs secondary that allowed 344 passing yards last week, including 150 to standout receiver Justin Jefferson. Moore will have shaky WR2 value but the Bears should make a point to get their best offensive player more touches in Week 2.

D.J. Moore Held To Two Catches In Bears Debut

Chicago Bears wide receiver D.J. Moore caught only two passes for 25 yards in the team's ugly 38-14 loss to the Packers in Week 1. Fantasy managers have been clamoring to see Moore paired with quarterback Justin Fields but their debut as a duo was a total dud. Moore only saw two targets in a game where Fields attempted 37 passes. In the rare opportunities Moore saw in the game, he showcased his toughness after the catch but suddenly his fantasy value is skittish heading into Week 2.

The Bears have been looking for a go-to receiver since the departure of Allen Robinson and believe they have found it in Moore. Expect plenty of targets for the newly acquired Bear against a questionable Packers secondary. Moore should carry high-end WR2 value into Week 1.

D.J. Moore Racks Up 40 Yards Against Bills

Chicago Bears wide receiver D.J. Moore caught one pass for 40 yards in the team's preseason finale against the Bills. Moore sprung free across the middle and made a nifty move to pick up a chunk of extra yardage for a 40-yard gain. Moore's chemistry with quarterback Justin Fields in training camp has been undeniable and on display in limited preseason action. There are plenty of questions about the Bears offense heading into the season but Moore's ability to be a consistent force in the passing game will not be one of them.

DJ Moore Should Be Productive In First Year In Chicago

The Athletic's Kevin Fishbain thinks Chicago Bears wide receiver DJ Moore should be incredibly productive in his first year with the team, even though the Bears offense isn't expected to be a top-10 unit in 2023 after they ranked 32nd in passing a year ago. Moore and quarterback Justin Fields developed strong rapport from the start, and Moore has been Fields' top target by a wide margin. The 26-year-old wideout has already put up numbers in a below-average passing offense, so fantasy managers shouldn't let last year or any lingering concerns about Fields dissuade them from taking Moore as a strong WR2 in upcoming drafts. Moore is fully expected to be the Bears' target leader this year, and his strong after-the-catch abilities will give him even more upside.

DJ Moore Shines In Bears Debut

Chicago Bears wide receiver DJ Moore had just one catch in his preseason debut with the Bears, but he took it 62 yards to the house. Coach Matt Eberflus said Moore brings "automatic excitement" to the whole building. Talent has never been a question mark for the ex-Panther, with three 1,000-yard campaigns under his belt. With more secure quarterback play, Moore has a high ceiling in his new home in the NFC North. That was on full display when he took the screen pass from Justin Fields and scampered to the end zone. Moore is worth selecting as your WR2 in standard, 12-team leagues.despite uneven quarterback play in his time in Carolina, and he's also racked up 364 catches and 21 TDs in his five NFL seasons. The 26-year-old former first-rounder has plenty of talent and an even higher ceiling in his new home, but he'll also need quarterback Justin Fields to take the next step as a passer to cash in on the potential as a top-25 fantasy pass-catcher.

Justin Fields' improvement noticeable as QB embraces emphasis on passing

The addition of receiver DJ Moore and improvements up front are among the many reasons the Bears are optimistic Fields will continue to develop.
Aug 3 · ESPN Bears Justin Fields DJ MooreBears Rookie Impressed With DJ Moore

Chicago Bears fourth-round rookie wide receiver Tyler Scott has been thoroughly impressed by watching DJ Moore this offseason. "D.J. Moore, obviously, being a teammate, he -- man -- he's everything advertised and more," Scott said when asked which route runners he studies to help his own game. "Like he plays with such a calmness to him. Just the control to him." Moore has three 1,000-yard campaigns despite uneven quarterback play in his time in Carolina, and he's also racked up 364 catches and 21 TDs in his five NFL seasons. The 26-year-old former first-rounder has plenty of talent and an even higher ceiling in his new home, but he'll also need quarterback Justin Fields to take the next step as a passer to cash in on the potential as a top-25 fantasy pass-catcher.
