Courtland Sutton Scores Ninth Touchdown Of The Year

Denver Broncos wide receiver Courtland Sutton continued his scoring ways in Week 13's 22-17 loss to the Houston Texans on Sunday when he found the end zone for the ninth time this year. Sutton broke a five-game TD streak in last week's win over the Cleveland Browns, but he was able to get into the end zone again in Week 13 on a 45-yard bomb deep down the field to get the Broncos back into the game in the second half. Sutton only had two receptions on the day, but he did lead the team with seven targets as he continues to be quarterback Russell Wilson's favorite target through the air. The 28-year-old has had a high floor as a WR3/flex in fantasy lineups in 2023 and could continue to thrive in a good matchup next week against the division-rival Los Angeles Chargers.

Courtland Sutton Attempting To Start A New Touchdown Streak

Denver Broncos wide receiver Courtland Sutton snapped a five-game touchdown streak in last week's win over the Cleveland Browns, catching three of his six targets for 61 yards. Sutton, who is tied for third among wideouts this year with eight touchdowns in 11 games, will be looking to start a new touchdown streak against the Houston Texans in Week 13, but it won't be easy. The Texans defense has been an OK matchup for opposing wideouts this year, but Houston has allowed just six total touchdowns to the position. Although Sutton has seen double-digit targets only twice this year, he's still quarterback Russell Wilson's go-to target, especially in the red zone. Sutton has relied on TDs for his fantasy value in 2023, but he should have a solid floor this weekend as a low-end WR2/high-end WR3 against the Texans.

Courtland Sutton Ends Touchdown Streak, Gains 61 Yards In Week 12

Denver Broncos wide receiver Courtland Sutton tied for the team-high in catches (three) and targets (six) while going for a team-high 61 receiving yards in the 29-12 Week 12 win over the Cleveland Browns on Sunday. Sutton had a couple clutch receptions and averaged a healthy 20.3 yards per catch, but the main storyline in this one was that he failed to extend his touchdown streak to six games. The 28-year-old came close, as was three yards shy of a touchdown on the team's opening drive and also had a ball slip through his outstretched arms in the back of the end zone later in the game. It was only the third game this year that Sutton hasn't found paydirt. Still, he's quarterback Russell Wilson's favorite target by far and has a great chance to find the end zone again next week against the Houston Texans.

Courtland Sutton's Touchdown Streak Will Be Put To The Test

Denver Broncos wide receiver Courtland Sutton has been Denver's offensive MVP through 11 weeks in 2023 with 45 receptions (62 targets) for 499 yards and a career-high eight touchdowns. He has really had a nose for the end zone in 2023 and is quarterback Russell Wilson's go-to target in the biggest moments. Sutton has scored in each of the last five games, but that TD streak will be put to the test in Week 12 against a Cleveland Browns defense that is allowing the second-fewest half-PPR points to receivers (20.7) per game, including just six touchdowns all year. The Browns secondary is vulnerable due to some recent injuries, but still, Sutton has clear bust potential this Sunday if he cannot find the end zone for the sixth straight game. The 28-year-old has been targeted double-digit times just twice this year and has topped 50 yard receiving in only half of his games played.

Courtland Sutton Comes Through Again With Game-Winning Touchdown

When the Denver Broncos have needed a big play this year, wide receiver Courtland Sutton has come through time and time again. That was again the case in the 21-20 Sunday night win over the Minnesota Vikings, as Sutton caught the game-winning touchdown on a 15-yard jump ball in the end zone late in the fourth quarter to give Denver their fourth straight win. It was the 28-year-old's career-high eighth TD of the year, and he has now found paydirt in five straight games and eight of his 10 games this year. The touchdown machine only had four receptions on five targets -- one on a fantastic one-handed grab in which he was also being held -- but it was still good enough to lead the team with 66 yards. Sutton's chemistry with quarterback Russell Wilson has been strong as ever, although he has the potential to disappoint fantasy managers if he cannot find the end zone. Scoring for a sixth consecutive game will be difficult in Week 12 against the Cleveland Browns.

Courtland Sutton Looking To Continue Scoring Binge

Denver Broncos wide receiver Courtland Sutton is having a career season with quarterback Russell Wilson's resurgence under head coach Sean Payton. The 28-year-old pass-catcher leads the team in catches (41), targets (57), receiving yards (433) and touchdowns (seven), which are also a career-high for Sutton. He has scored in seven of nine games and will be looking to score for the fifth straight game on Sunday night against the Minnesota Vikings. The Vikings have been better against receivers in recent weeks, but on the season as a whole, they've allowed the eighth-most half-PPR points (30.5) to the position per game, including nine touchdowns. Sutton is clearly Wilson's No. 1 target, but he's exceeded 50 receiving yards in only four of nine games this year. He's a touchdown-dependent, high-end WR3 for a solid matchup against Minnesota this week.

Courtland Sutton Scores In Fourth Straight Game

Denver Broncos wide receiver Courtland Sutton has easily been the team's top receiver in 2023, and that continued in Week 10's 24-22 win over the Buffalo Bills on Monday Night Football. Sutton led Denver in all receiving categories in the upset win, catching eight of his 11 targets for 53 yards and found the end zone for the fourth straight game. He also lost a fumble. No other pass-catcher was targeted more than four times or had more than four receptions in this one. His touchdown catch was a fantastic seven-yard grab in which he dragged his toe in the end zone. The 28-year-old is clearly quarterback Russell Wilson's favorite target through the air and has already set a new career-high with seven TDs this year in nine games. The downside to Sutton is that despite all of his trips to paydirt this year, he has gone over 50 yards receiving in only four of his nine games, making him a touchdown-dependent WR3/flex in fantasy lineups.

Courtland Sutton Trying To Make It Four Straight Games With A TD

Denver Broncos wide receiver Courtland Sutton has easily been the team's most productive pass-catcher in 2023, finding the end zone a career-high-tying six times in just eight games played. His fantasy managers will be hoping the Week 9 bye won't slow him down, as he'll be looking for his fourth straight game with a touchdown on Monday night in Buffalo against the Bills. The Bills defense has been in the middle of the pack in terms of half-PPR fantasy points allowed to the position and have given up seven touchdowns in nine games. Sutton is one of quarterback Russell Wilson's top targets, especially in the red zone, but he has double-digit targets just once in 2023 (back in Week 3). The 28-year-old pass-catcher has become a strong WR3 in fantasy lineups, although he's also been somewhat touchdown-dependent.

Courtland Sutton Scores Again In Upset Victory

Denver Broncos wide receiver Courtland Sutton picked up his sixth receiving touchdown of the season in the team's surprising 24-9 win over the Kansas City Chiefs. Sutton's receiving touchdown total is now tied for third in the NFL. Playing with a lead and gifted short fields on several occasions, Denver didn't need to throw to win, so the touchdown salvaged Sutton's day for fantasy football. The 28-year-old caught just two passes for 29 yards. When the Broncos return from their Week 9 bye, Sutton will hope to continue his torrid touchdown rate.

Coming through with one of their better wins since Peyton Manning‘s retirement, the Broncos have won two straight going into the trade deadline. Denver Broncos wide receiver Courtland Sutton has proven himself the most reliable pass-catcher for the team this season. The 28-year-old has 31 catches (43 targets) for 351 yards. He also has five touchdowns, one away from tying his career-high from 2019, when he made the Pro Bowl. Of course, the inconsistent play of Russell Wilson makes it extremely hard to trust any of the Broncos' offensive options. Denver is also expected to get slammed by heavy snow, with reports calling for over a foot heading into Sunday's contest. As a result, fantasy managers may want to consider other options in Week 8, although Sutton can still be used at least as a flex option.

Courtland Sutton Scores Yet Again In Week 7 Victory

Denver Broncos wide receiver Courtland Sutton has had a nose for the end zone in 2023. It helps that he's been quarterback Russell Wilson's clear favorite target in the passing game. Sutton was very efficient in the 19-17 win over the Green Bay Packers in Week 7, catching all six of his targets for 76 yards and his fifth touchdown of the year. The Broncos' only touchdown on the day was an 18-yard reception from the 28-year-old, and he's now just one TD shy of tying his career high in scores, which was set in his lone Pro Bowl season in 2019 in 16 games played. Sutton led all the team's receiving categories on the day. Heading into a rematch with the Kansas City Chiefs in Week 8, Sutton has cemented himself as a high-floor WR3/flex in fantasy. In Week 6 against KC, he had four catches for 46 yards and a touchdown.

Courtland Sutton Looks To Continue Scoring Ways

Denver Broncos wide receiver Courtland Sutton has been a pleasant surprise in 2023, especially when considering his poor finish to 2022. He's developed strong chemistry with quarterback Russell Wilson, as he leads the team in targets (37), catches (25), receiving yards (275) and TDs (four) through six weeks. The 28-year-old had just one catch for 13 yards in Week 5 but bounced back with his fourth score in six games in the Week 6 loss to the Kansas City Chiefs. Sutton will have his work cut out for him in Week 7 against a Green Bay Packers team allowing the second-fewest receiving yards (623) on the season (in five games) and just 23.6 half-PPR points per game to the position. Still, he has the highest floor of any Broncos pass-catcher and makes for a solid WR3/flex option in fantasy lineups.

Oct 18 · Pro Football Rumors Denver Broncos Jerry Jeudy Courtland SuttonCourtland Sutton Scores For Fourth Time This Year

Denver Broncos wide receiver Courtland Sutton saved his fantasy line in the 19-8 loss to the Kansas City Chiefs on Thursday Night Football by scoring his fourth touchdown of the season on an excellent one-handed catch in the fourth quarter. Sutton finished the contest with team-highs across the board in catches (four), targets (six) and receiving yards (46) to go with the touchdown on a night where quarterback Russell Wilson was held under 100 passing yards. The 28-year-old is clearly Wilson's most trusted target and has been the only trustworthy fantasy option from Denver's receiving room through six weeks of the season. Denver's offense will hopefully be able to move the ball more consistently in their Week 7 home affair against the Green Bay Packers. Sutton will be have a solid floor as a WR4/flex for that one.

On the whole, the Broncos’ offense has submitted far more competent work compared to a perplexing 2022 season. After finishing last in scoring last season, Denver is 10th through five games. Oct 12 · Pro Football Rumors Denver Broncos Frank Clark Jerry Jeudy Justin Simmons Courtland SuttonCourtland Sutton Looking For Bounce-Back Performance

Denver Broncos wide receiver Courtland Sutton had by far his worst game in the first five weeks in the Week 5 loss to the New York Jets, catching just one pass on three targets for 13 yards. This came after Sutton had found the end zone three times in the first four games of 2023 as quarterback Russell Wilson's favorite target in what has looked like a rejuvenated offense under head coach Sean Payton. The 28-year-old doesn't have the greatest of matchups on Thursday night against the Kansas City Chiefs, who have allowed 25.8 half-PPR points per game to opposing wideouts (10th-fewest in football). But he should be able to bounce back from last week's showing as a solid WR3/4 in fantasy lineups in a game in which the Broncos will likely be playing from behind. Sutton comes into Week 6 as a top-30 fantasy receiver.

Courtland Sutton Puts Up A Dud For First Time In 2023

Denver Broncos wide receiver Courtland Sutton entered the Week 5 game against the New York Jets with three touchdowns in his first four games in 2023. After ending last season as an unplayable fantasy wideout because of Denver's offensive struggles, Sutton had so far benefitted from quarterback Russell Wilson's resurgence in head coach Sean Payton's system. Sutton ran into a tough matchup against a tough Jets defense and shutdown cornerback Sauce Gardner, though, and finished with just one catch on three targets for a season-low 13 yards. His first and only catch didn't come until the fourth quarter. Despite the disappointing showing, Sutton should be confidently deployed as a WR3/flex option in the first divisional clash next Thursday against the Kansas City Chiefs in Week 6.

Oct 8 · Pro Football Rumors Denver Broncos Frank Clark Jerry Jeudy Courtland Sutton Russell WilsonCourtland Sutton Has Difficult Matchup Ahead

Denver Broncos wide receiver Courtland Sutton has exceeded expectations through the first four weeks of the 2023 season, checking in as the WR18 in half-PPR scoring with three touchdowns in four games played. He leads the team in receptions (20) and targets (28), is second in receiving yards (216) and is tied for the lead in touchdowns (three). Sutton has been quarterback Russell Wilson's go-to guy through the air, and they've both benefitted from an increase in offensive production under new head coach Sean Payton. Sutton could see a lot of shutdown cornerback Sauce Gardner in a Week 5 matchup against the New York Jets, though. The Jets D has also allowed 19.8 half-PPR points per game to receivers (second-fewest) so far this year, so fantasy managers may want to temper expectations for Sutton this Sunday.

Denver Broncos wide receiver Courtland Sutton now has touchdowns in three of the first four games of the season after finding the end zone a combined four times in the previous three seasons combined. His third touchdown of the year in the Week 4 win over the Chicago Bears in the Windy City on Sunday saved an otherwise lackluster performance for his fantasy managers. Sutton finished the 31-28 win, Denver's first of the year, with three catches on five targets for only 27 yards and the touchdown. The 27-year-old tied Jerry Jeudy in both catches and targets for the team lead on the day as quarterback Russell Wilson spread the ball around effectively. Sutton and Denver's offense have a much tougher matchup in Week 5 against the New York Jets, but he's proving to have a nose for the end zone this year as a WR3/flex for fantasy managers.

Courtland Sutton On The Rise

Denver Broncos wide receiver Courtland Sutton has been a top-25 fantasy wideout through the first three weeks. It's a big shift since the end of the 2022 campaign, when he couldn't be trusted at all in lineups. Through three weeks, he's been Russell Wilson's go-to guy and has hauled in 17 of 23 targets for 189 yards and two touchdowns. Despite fumbling twice in the demolition in Week 3 by the Dolphins, Sutton had 19.1 half-PPR points. The 27-year-old former second-rounder early season play has vaulted him to WR3/flex status for fantasy managers with a high floor, especially heading into a juicy Week 4 matchup against the porous Chicago Bears defense. Jerry Jeudy will pull targets away from Sutton inevitably, but the two could co-exist in Sean Payton's offense as long as Wilson keeps humming.

Courtland Sutton Scores Second Touchdown, Fumbles Twice

Denver Broncos wide receiver Courtland Sutton led the team in catches (eight), targets (11) and receiving yards (91) while hauling in his second touchdown of the season in the 70-20 embarrassing loss to the Miami Dolphins on Sunday in Week 3. It wasn't all good for Sutton, though, as he also lost two fumbles as the Broncos fell to 0-3 on the season. The 27-year-old has been a strong high-ceiling WR4/flex for fantasy managers through the first three weeks of the year as quarterback Russell Wilson's go-to target in the passing game. Wilson has also gone for over 300 yards passing in back-to-back game, so there's optimism that Sutton can maintain fantasy relevance all year as long as he stays healthy. Fantasy managers will want to keep him in their starting lineups next week for a matchup against the winless Chicago Bears and their porous defense.

Courtland Sutton A High-Floor WR4/Flex

Denver Broncos wide receiver Courtland Sutton has had a pretty good start to the 20232 season, catching nine of his 12 targets for 98 yards and one touchdown through two games. He played a team-high 89% of the offensive snaps in the Week 2 loss to the Washington Commanders, although both he and Jerry Jeudy took a back seat to rookie Marvin Mims Jr. and Brandon Johnson, who accounted for all three of quarterback Russell Wilson's touchdown passes. Sutton and Jeudy will continue to be Wilson's top aerial targets, which makes them the most trustworthy fantasy options among Denver's pass-catchers. The Miami Dolphins secondary will present some challenges for Sutton and the rest of Denver's receivers this Sunday, but so far this year, Sutton has been a high-floor WR4/flex for fantasy managers.

Courtland Sutton Receives Team-High Seven Targets

Denver Broncos wide receiver Courtland Sutton wasn't able to find the end zone in the Week 2 loss to the Washington Commanders like he did in the season opener, but he still had a pretty encouraging line. In the 35-33 loss on Sunday, Sutton caught a team-high five passes for 66 yards on a team-high seven targets. All of Denver's success through the air in this one came deep down the field, with rookie Marvin Mims Jr. and Brandon Johnson catching all three of quarterback Russell Wilson's trips to paydirt. Despite the big games from Mims and Johnson this week, Sutton and Jerry Jeudy should remain quarterback Russell Wilson's top targets moving forward. And Sutton may currently have the highest fantasy floor of any Denver wideout after the first two weeks of the season.

Courtland Sutton - Week 2 Outlook for Fantasy Football

Denver Broncos wide receiver Courtland Sutton played a team-high 86 percent of the offensive snaps in the Week 1 loss to the division-rival Las Vegas Raiders and finished with four catches and 32 receiving yards while also scoring his first touchdown of the 2023 season. However, it was still a disappointing line, considering the fact that fellow wideout Jerry Jeudy (hamstring) was inactive and tight end Greg Dulcich (hamstring) was injured early and never returned. Working against Sutton in Week 2 this Sunday against the Washington Commanders is the fact that they'll be facing an even stronger defense and Jeudy has a realistic shot to make his season debut, which will take valuable targets away in an offense that didn't look much better than their terrible showing in 2022. Fantasy managers should consider the 27-year-old to be a touchdown-dependent WR3/flex with more upside if Jeudy sits again.

Courtland Sutton Finds The End Zone In Loss To Raiders

In what was an otherwise pedestrian day in the Week 1 loss to the division-rival Las Vegas Raiders on Sunday, Denver Broncos wide receiver Courtland Sutton found the end zone on one of quarterback Russell Wilson's two touchdown passes on the day. Sutton finished with four catches on five targets for 32 yards and his first TD of 2023. All things considered, Sutton's day was discouraging for those that took him on draft day, mainly because of the fact he didn't do more damage with Jerry Jeudy (hamstring) inactive and with tight end Greg Dulcich (leg) leaving the contest early. If Wilson continues to struggle with the deep passing game, the 27-year-old Sutton could struggle to be anything more than a touchdown-dependent WR4/flex, at best, in fantasy, especially when Jeudy makes his season debut.

Courtland Sutton Has An Opportunity To Shine In Week 1

Much of Denver Broncos wide receiver Courtland Sutton's Week 1 fantasy value against the division-rival Las Vegas Raiders will depend on whether or not Jerry Jeudy (hamstring) is able to suit up. If Jeudy is out or limited in any way, Sutton figures to be quarterback Russell Wilson's go-to target, not just on 50-50 jump balls down the field against a suspect Raiders secondary. The 27-year-old former second-rounder had 64 catches on 109 targets for 829 yards and two touchdowns in 15 starts last year, but new head coach Sean Payton's offense should allow Sutton and the rest of the receivers to bounce back in 2023. If Jeudy cannot gain clearance to play this Sunday, Sutton will have clear WR2 upside to kick off the season.
