  • Cooper Rush Loses For The First Time In Week 6

Dallas Cowboys quarterback Cooper Rush lost for the first time in his NFL career in a Week 6 game against the Philadelphia Eagles. Rush had played mostly mistake-free football as the fill-in for starter Dak Prescott (thumb), but that all came crashing down in Week 6 against a very obviously well-prepared Eagles defense. Rush completed just 18 of his 38 pass attempts for 181 yards. He threw one touchdown but three interceptions. Under pressure all night, Rush was somehow able to escape without taking a sack, but plenty of throwaways and the three picks had something to do with it. With Prescott expected to be ready for Week 7, Rush will return to his role as the backup quarterback in Dallas.

  • Jason Peters Will Suit Up Against Former Team

Dallas Cowboys offensive tackle Jason Peters (chest) will suit up on Sunday night against the Eagles. The 40-year-old injured his chest in the Week 5 win over the Los Angeles Rams and was predicted to miss a few games. However, Peter has healed quicker than anticipated, so he'll be on the field versus his former team, much to the delight of Cooper Rush and company.

  • Cowboys Preparing To Start Cooper Rush Against Eagles

Dallas Cowboys head coach Mike McCarthy said the team is preparing for quarterback Cooper Rush to start in Week 6 against the 5-0 Philadelphia Eagles. Dak Prescott (thumb) is making progress from a fractured right thumb that he suffered in the season opener, and he will throw for the first time on the side at practice on Wednesday. However, the Cowboys aren't rushing Prescott back after Rush has gone 4-0 since taking over under center. Rush went just 10-for-16 for 102 yards, no touchdown and an interception in last week's win over the Los Angeles Rams. The 28-year-old will likely have to throw the ball much more this Sunday night against Philly, but he'll remain nothing more than a low-end QB2 option in superflex leagues for at least another week.

  • Cooper Rush Stays Undefeated After Week 5 Win

Dallas Cowboys quarterback Cooper Rush remained undefeated in his NFL career after another win in Week 5 over the Los Angeles Rams. Rush acted as a hand-off machine, completing just 10 passes on 16 attempts for 102 yards. He played more mistake-free football, taking three sacks but not allowing any turnovers in a game the Cowboys easily won 22-10. Rush has been riding the Dallas defense to a 4-0 record as a starter and could get one more start in Week 6 if Dak Prescott (thumb) still isn't ready to go.

  • Cooper Rush Likely To Start Again In Week 5

Dallas Cowboys quarterback Cooper Rush is likely to draw the start once again for a Week 5 game against the Los Angeles Rams. With Dak Prescott (thumb) nearing a return but reportedly still unable to fully grasp a football, Week 6 seems like a more likely return date for the Cowboys starter. Rush has gone 3-0 this season and while he's not the reason they've won, he's made sure not to be the reason they'd lose, playing mistake-free football. Despite his success on the field, Rush is not much of a fantasy option, capping out as a QB2 in deeper superflex leagues.

  • Cooper Rush Not A Fantasy Option In Week 4 Despite Solid Play

Dallas Cowboys quarterback Cooper Rush is not a strong fantasy option in Week 4 despite leading the Cowboys to two wins so far as Dak Prescott's (thumb) fill-in. Rush has played mostly mistake-free football and while he is certainly performing better than most people expected, he has almost no fantasy upside. Week 4 should be his last game as a starter for now, with Dak expected to return in Week 5. Rush is a last-second-desperation-play in superflex leagues only.

  • Cooper Rush Leads Dallas To Another Victory

Dallas Cowboys quarterback Cooper Rush led the team to another win in a Week 3 game against the division-rival New York Giants. Rush attempted 31 passes, completing 21 of them for 215 yards and one touchdown. Rush zeroed in on wide receiver CeeDee Lamb again, targeting him with 12 of his passes, but once again showing better chemistry with Noah Brown. With Dak Prescott (thumb) stating that he wouldn't rule himself out for Week 4, Rush's reign as the starter may be coming to an end. He's played well enough to keep the Cowboys from rushing Dak back onto the field though. Still, at most it seems like Rush will get one more start before Prescott returns to his space atop the depth chart.

  • Cooper Rush Not Much Of A Fantasy Option In Week 3

Dallas Cowboys quarterback Cooper Rush led his team to a win in Week 2 and played decently, but he's not much of a fantasy option for Week 3 lineups. While Rush was better than most expected and was able to maintain the fantasy relevance of some of his pass catchers while leading the Cowboys to an unexpected victory, almost every NFL team still has a better quarterback at least for fantasy purposes. Rush put up 235 yards and a touchdown while peppering CeeDee Lamb with 11 targets in Week 2. He's maybe a floor play in superflex formats, but even then there are at least 28 quarterbacks that make for better starters.

  • Cooper Rush Will Start Against Cincinnati

The Cowboys signed quarterback Cooper Rush to the active roster on Saturday. The 28-year-old will start on Sunday against Cincinnati, with the team also elevating Will Grier from the practice squad to serve as the backup. Rush has started just once throughout his career, completing 24 of his 40 attempts for 325 yards, two touchdowns, and a pick during Dallas' Halloween matchup versus Minnesota last season. Rush is a decent signal-caller and has been on the team's practice unit for years. However, only the most desperate managers should consider starting him in Superflex or two-quarterback leagues in Week 2.

  • Cowboys Likely To Stick With Cooper Rush

As of now, the Dallas Cowboys don't have any plans to pursue a significant trade for a quarterback, barring an unforeseen change, according to a source. The Cowboys don't want to take the possibility completely off the table, but with Dak Prescott's (thumb) improved timeline after having surgery and Cooper Rush's familiarity with the offense, the Cowboys want to be patient. Those of you thinking Dallas might trade for 49ers QB Jimmy Garoppolo can put those rumors to rest. The Cowboys aren't putting Prescott on Injured Reserve and think he could return within the next four weeks. But for now it will be Rush leading the offense. The 28-year-old will be making just his second career start in Week 2 against the Cincinnati Bengals, and he'll be a low-end, desperation QB2 in superflex leagues.

  • Cooper Rush, New Cowboys Starting QB, Completes Seven Passes In Week 1

Dallas Cowboys quarterback Cooper Rush was forced into the game in Week 1 after Dak Prescott had to leave with a hand injury. After the game, Cowboys owner Jerry Jones stated that Prescott would be out for "several weeks," meaning that Rush will be the starting quarterback for likely the next month. In this one, he completed seven passes on 13 attempts, totaling 64 yards. Despite decent pass catchers available, Rush will almost certainly struggle to move the Cowboys offense behind a suddenly rough offensive line. The Prescott news is a huge blow to the fantasy value of everyone on the Cowboys offense.

  • Cooper Rush Added To Active Roster For Sunday Night

Dallas Cowboys quarterback Cooper Rush has been elevated to the active roster ahead of Sunday's matchup against Tampa Bay. The promotion of the 28-year-old may be alarming for Dak Prescott's fantasy managers, especially after the signal-caller popped up on the injury report during the week. However, there is nothing to worry about, as the move was made to fill a void on the depth chart. Nevertheless, he won't see any real action unless Prescott goes down with an injury. Even then, Rush isn't someone to consider adding in Week 1 and beyond.
