  • JuJu Smith-Schuster Off Fantasy Radar In Week 4

    Headshot for JuJu Smith-Schuster

New England Patriots wide receiver JuJu Smith-Schuster is not on the fantasy radar ahead of Week 4 versus the Dallas Cowboys. The offseason addition has been a major disappointment and mustered just five yards on one catch last week. He seems to have lost some trust among the Patriots' coaching staff and continues to be out-produced by Kendrick Bourne and DeVante Parker. You can leave Smith-Schuster on fantasy waivers (or drop him if you haven't done so already).

  • JuJu Smith-Schuster Belongs On Bench In Week 3

    Headshot for JuJu Smith-Schuster

New England Patriots wide receiver JuJu Smith-Schuster should be benched (or left on waivers) in most fantasy leagues ahead of Sunday's game versus the New York Jets. Smith-Schuster has been the definition of mediocre so far, totaling 13 targets, six catches, and 61 yards through his first two games with the Patriots. He continues to be out-snapped and out-produced by DeVante Parker, Kendrick Bourne, and Hunter Henry, making it tough for him to earn volume in the first place. Look for other options to deploy at WR or FLEX this week.

  • JuJu Smith-Schuster Totals Just 28 Yards In Week 2

    Headshot for JuJu Smith-Schuster

New England Patriots wide receiver JuJu Smith-Schuster hauled in five of six targets for just 28 yards against the Miami Dolphins on Sunday night. He played 59 percent of snaps, splitting opportunities with Kendrick Bourne while DeVante Parker (100 percent) and Hunter Henry (92 percent) dominated the receiving attack. Post-Week 1 rumors exposed the Patriots' lack of trust in Smith-Schuster, which has now been on display for two consecutive games. He's a fantasy WR5 who can be left on waivers in many formats.

  • JuJu Smith-Schuster Says He's Fully Healthy

    Headshot for JuJu Smith-Schuster

New England Patriots wide receiver JuJu Smith-Schuster (knee) said his knee is "100 percent" healthy. He also said he's "not frustrated at all" when asked if he was frustrated after being left on the sidelines for the team's final drive in the Week 1 loss to the Philadelphia Eagles in Week 1. The 26-year-old pass-catcher hauled in four of his seven targets for 33 yards in his team debut last weekend, but sources inside the Patriots building apparently don't even consider Smith-Schuster to be one of their top three receivers right now. In the two-minute drill to close out last week's game, it was Kendrick Bourne, Kayshon Boutte and Demario Douglas on the field for the Pats. It's a bad sign for Smith-Schuster, especially once DeVante Parker (knee) makes his season debut.

  • JuJu Smith-Schuster - Week 2 Outlook for Fantasy Football

    Headshot for JuJu Smith-Schuster

New England Patriots wide receiver JuJu Smith-Schuster should be benched in most fantasy leagues ahead of Sunday Night Football versus the Miami Dolphins. Originally signed to be New England's No. 1 receiver, Smith-Schuster was out-performed by Kendrick Bourne and Demario Douglas last week, and new reports indicate the former Steeler and Chief has slid down the pecking order in the eyes of Patriots coaches. He could absolutely bounce back as early as this week, but he could also disappoint again. You should find a more trustworthy option and avoid Smith-Schuster in most fantasy leagues this week.

  • JuJu Smith-Schuster Falling Down The Depth Chart?

    Headshot for JuJu Smith-Schuster

The New England Patriots signed wide receiver JuJu Smith-Schuster to be their best receiver in the offseason, but the Week 1 loss to the Philadelphia Eagles told us he's their fourth, and maybe fifth, best receiver. The Patriots benched Smith-Schuster for their final drive and opted for Kendrick Bourne, Kayshon Boutte and Demario Douglas. "We just did what we thought was best to be able to move the ball and score points," receivers coach Ross Douglas said. Multiple team sources believes Smith-Schuster isn't presently among the team's five most effective pass-catchers, and his place in the offense has been complicated by a variety of factors, starting with his surgically repaired knee. His knee isn't 100%. The bad news is DeVante Parker (knee) was inactive in Week 1, so Smith-Schuster's playing time could take even more of a hit moving forward.

  • Juju Smith-Schuster Targeted Seven Times In Week 1 Loss

    Headshot for JuJu Smith-Schuster

New England Patriots wide receiver JuJu Smith-Schuster caught four of seven targets for 34 yards in Sunday's 25-20 loss to the Philadelphia Eagles. Smith-Schuster was second on the team in targets with seven behind only Kendrick Bourne (11) but tied Demario Douglas and Ezekiel Elliott as Mac Jones spread the ball around in Week 1. He averaged just 4.7 yards per target, with his longest reception being 15 yards. Juju should continue to see many targets with DeVante Parker (knee) and Tyquan Thornton (shoulder) sidelined. Smith-Schuster will look to improve against a Dolphins secondary without star cornerback Jalen Ramsey in New England's Week 2 matchup versus the Dolphins.

  • Juju Smith-Schuster Mainly A Deep-League Option For Week 1

    Headshot for JuJu Smith-Schuster

New England Patriots wide receiver JuJu Smith-Schuster will make his regular-season debut with his new team in Week 1 against the Eagles. Smith-Schuster signed a three-year, $25.5 million contract with the Patriots this offseason. The 26-year-old caught 78 passes for 933 yards and three touchdowns over 16 games for the Chiefs in 2023. Smith-Schuster is expected to quarterback Mac Jones' top target in 2023. The former Pittsburgh Steeler has an extremely tough matchup as the Eagles ranked second in DVOA against WR1s in 2022. With the tough matchup and New England's offense likely to struggle to move the ball, Juju is mainly a flex play in deep leagues for Week 1.

  • Offseason In Review: New England Patriots

    Headshot for Kendrick Bourne

The 2022 season saw the Patriots fail to make the playoffs for the second time in the post-Tom Brady era. While the players deserve their fair share of blame for the team’s lack of success, New England’s struggles could mostly be attributed to the sideline. With Josh McDaniels having left for Las Vegas, Bill Belichick […]

  • Juju Smith-Schuster Catches One Pass In Patriots Debut

    Headshot for JuJu Smith-Schuster

New England Patriots wide receiver JuJu Smith-Schuster made his preseason debut with his new team and caught one pass for one yard in Saturday's 21-17 win over the Green Bay Packers. The 26-year-old dealt with a minor knee injury this offseason, but it hasn't hindered him throughout training camp. After a productive campaign in Kansas City in 2022, he signed a three-year, $25 million contract this offseason with New England. Despite the lack of production in his first preseason game, fantasy managers shouldn't worry, as he is expected to lead the Patriots in receiving this year. Smith-Schuster is a tremendous value at his current NFFC ADP of 112 and should consistently produce week in and week out, especially in PPR formats.

  • Rookie Demario Douglas Impressing In Patriots Camp

    Headshot for Kayshon Boutte

New England Patriots rookie wide receiver Demario Douglas has been an unexpected star for the Patriots in training camp. The diminutive slot receiver was the second of two wide receivers selected by New England in the sixth round of April's draft, behind Kayshon Boutte. The 5-foot-8 receiver out of Liberty has been seen on social media dusting defenders in one-on-one drills. He's also been earning some reps out of the slot with the starters. In his final season at Liberty, Douglas finished with 84 touches for 1,098 and seven touchdowns. JuJu Smith-Schuster and DeVante Parker are presumptive starters for New England, but the third receiver role is seemingly wide open. Douglas is a bonafide taxi squad candidate for dynasty managers and worth a look in deep redraft leagues.

  • Tyquan Thornton, JuJu Smith Schuster Ready To Go For Training Camp

    Headshot for Tyquan Thornton

New England Patriots wide receivers Tyquan Thornton (soft-tissue) and JuJu-Smith Schuster (knee) have been at Gillette Stadium for the last four days and are expected to take part in training camp right away. Both wideouts missed extended time in the spring, so it's a positive development for their fantasy football outlooks and the Patriots' passing game as a whole. Smith-Schuster should be the favorite to lead the team in targets and Thornton is expected to take a leap forward as a dynamic playmaker in his sophomore campaign. That said, New England will still likely have one of the most run-heavy offenses in 2023, so neither has legitimate WR1 upside. Smith-Schuster could produce a WR2 season in PPR formats, assuming he stays healthy.
