  • Alvin Kamara, Mark Ingram II Active Sunday

New Orleans Saints running backs Alvin Kamara (illness) and Mark Ingram II (knee) are active for Week 12 against the San Francisco 49ers. Both players had been listed as questionable. Kamara missed just one practice this week and was widely expected to suit up. He has played in nine games this season and ranks as the RB14 after compiling 511 rushing yards, 385 receiving yards, and three total touchdowns. Kamara falls into the low-end RB1 tier this Sunday and should see his value rise during a streak of juicy matchups from Weeks 15 to 17. Meanwhile, Ingram is back after missing three-plus games. He offers strong depth behind Kamara but is not on the fantasy radar in most leagues.

  • Alvin Kamara, Cameron Jordan Expected To Play In Week 12

New Orleans Saints running back Alvin Kamara (illness) and pass rusher Cameron Jordan (eye) are expected to be active for Sunday's game against the San Francisco 49ers, according to NFL.com's Ian Rapoport. Kamara has played in nine games this season and ranks as the RB14 after compiling 511 rushing yards, 385 receiving yards, and three total touchdowns. He falls into the low-end RB1 tier this Sunday and should see his value rise during a streak of juicy matchups from Weeks 15 to 17. Meanwhile, Jordan has amassed 42 tackles and 5.5 sacks in 2022. His return should benefit the Saints as they look to slow down a 49ers offense loaded with playmakers.

  • Alvin Kamara Misses Thursday's Practice

New Orleans Saints running back Alvin Kamara (illness) didn't suit up for Thursday's practice. The 27-year-old is dealing with a non-COVID related illness. Fantasy managers shouldn't be too concerned. This is likely more of a rest day than anything else for Kamara. Fantasy managers should expect Kamara to suit up against the San Francisco 49ers. The star back has failed to score in three straight games. He should be considered a low-end RB2 for this upcoming matchup.

  • Alvin Kamara A Middling RB2 Option In Week 11

Three weeks ago, New Orleans Saints running back Alvin Kamara erupted on 27 total touches for 158 yards and three touchdowns. In the two games since then, he has touched the ball a total of 23 times for 111 yards and no scores, disappointing his fantasy managers. Kamara is a midrange RB2 option this week against a Rams defense sitting 29th in rushing yards allowed per game. Expect a defensive battle with another potential disappointing outing from Kamara in this Saints lackluster offense led by quarterback Andy Dalton.

  • Alvin Kamara Has Another Horrendous Showing In Week 10

New Orleans Saints running back Alvin Kamara finished with only 26 yards off eight carries during the loss to Pittsburgh on Sunday. He also added three receptions for 19 yards. Since Kamara's three-touchdown performance against the Las Vegas Raiders in Week 8, he has fizzled over the last two games. Head coach Dennis Allen acknowledged postgame the need for improvement moving ahead, although it's yet to be seen if that means getting his star running back more involved. While the 27-year-old has a massive ceiling from week to week, nobody would blame any fantasy manager for holding him out for the Week 11 meeting with the Los Angeles Rams based on his subpar play recently.

  • Alvin Kamara's Trial Set for March 1

New Orleans Saints running back Alvin Kamara was charged with battery, resulting in substantial bodily harm in February. The veteran running back's trial has been set for March 1, closing the door on any potential suspension for the superstar this season. However, Kamara will likely get suspended to start next year. Dynasty players might want to consider trading away the veteran running back, especially if they aren't a title-contending team. Not only will Kamara likely miss several games to start next season, but he is an older running back. Meanwhile, the superstar remains a plug-and-play RB1 for the rest of the 2022 season.

  • Alvin Kamara Looks To Bounce Back Versus Steelers

New Orleans Saints running back Alvin Kamara didn't have much success during the Week 9 loss to the Baltimore Ravens. He rushed for 30 yards on nine attempts, while hauling in three receptions for 32 yards. He has averaged 24.75 touches per game in his previous four contests, so this was just a down day for Kamara. The expectation is that he'll see more action against the Pittsburgh Steelers in Week 10. He should be able to bounce back with RB1 value for that matchup.

  • Alvin Kamara Totals Only 62 Yards

New Orleans Saints running back Alvin Kamara carried the ball nine times for 30 yards, adding three receptions for 32 yards in their 27-13 loss to the Ravens on Monday night. It was a down game for the superstar tailback, especially as a receiver. The 27-year-old had six or more receptions in four straight games entering this one, so three catches on four targets is a significant drop-off. His touchdown struggles returned after a huge three-score outburst last week, which is the only time he's found pay dirt all year. The team's inability to sustain drives and score points is really limiting his upside, particularly on nights when he doesn't excel as a receiver. Kamara takes on the Steelers in Week 10 with a chance for top-12 numbers again.

  • Alvin Kamara An RB1 Vs. Ravens In Week 9

New Orleans Saints running back Alvin Kamara finally got into the end zone in Week 8, not once but three times in a 24-0 win over the Las Vegas Raiders. Kamara will look for a repeat performance at home against the Baltimore Ravens in Week 9's Monday night game. The Ravens have been decent against the run in 2022, allowing the 20th-most fantasy points per game to enemy running backs thus far. That being said, Kamara has been trending up of late, having caught 28 balls over his past four games. The veteran tailback is on the board as a top-five RB in fantasy heading into Week 9.

  • Alvin Kamara Scores Three Times In Week 8

New Orleans Saints running back Alvin Kamara had his best game of the season during Sunday's win over the Raiders. He had 62 yards off 18 carries while catching nine of his 10 targets for 96 yards. Even better, Kamara not only scored for the first time in 2022-23, but he had three total touchdowns. Fantasy managers have patiently waited for the 27-year-old to break out all season. Hopefully, Kamara will have momentum on his side during the meeting with the Ravens on Monday night. Of course, he should remain in every fantasy lineup in Week 9.

  • Alvin Kamara Expected To Remain With Saints

New Orleans Saints running back Alvin Kamara is reportedly not on the trade block ahead of Tuesday's trade deadline. The 2-5 Saints are heading in the wrong direction, which leaves some to believe they'd move their veteran players. Despite that, it doesn't sound like the team wants to move Kamara unless they get blown away with an offer. The 27-year-old has been banged up a bit this season, but is reliable when healthy. Fantasy managers should consider him a RB1 for the upcoming matchup against the Las Vegas Raiders.

  • Eagles Not Going After Alvin Kamara

There's a rumor flying around that the Philadelphia Eagles are trying to trade for New Orleans Saints running back Alvin Kamara, but that's not the case, according to a source with knowledge of the situation. It's possible that Kamara's camp is looking for a way to get the word out that he'd like a new situation. The 27-year-old has already missed two games this year due to injury and is also likely facing a suspension next year for a brawl in Las Vegas earlier this year. Any team that acquired him would inherit a contract that has three years left. The Eagles already have a crowded backfield with Miles Sanders, Kenneth Gainwell and Boston Scott, so they don't really have a need there. Kamara has 77 carries for 351 yards and no touchdowns while catching 24 of 35 targets for 191 yards through the air in five games in 2022.

  • Alvin Kamara A Low-End RB1 In Week 8

New Orleans Saints running back Alvin Kamara is still looking for his first touchdown of the season despite seeing 101 total touches through five games. After seeing Taysom Hill and Mark Ingram vulture multiple rushing scores this year, Kamara will try to end the drought in Week 8's home matchup against the Las Vegas Raiders. The Raiders have been a decent matchup for enemy running backs in 2022, allowing the 14th-most fantasy points per game to the position thus far. Kamara has caught at least six passes in each of his past three games and has topped 100 all-purpose yards in all three games over that span, as well. Treat him as a low-end RB1 in fantasy for Week 8.

  • Alvin Kamara Eclipses 100 Total Yards In Thursday's Loss

New Orleans Saints running back Alvin Kamara rushed 11 times for 49 yards and brought in seven of nine targets for 56 yards in Thursday's 42-34 loss to the Arizona Cardinals. He has yet to find the end zone this season but has eclipsed 100 total yards in three straight weeks. The 27-year-old has rushed for 351 yards on 77 attempts while catching 24 passes for 191 yards across five games in 2022. Kamara continues to be the Saints' best offensive weapon and will look to hit paydirt for the first time this season against the Las Vegas Raiders in Week 8.

  • Alvin Kamara An RB1 In Week 7 Vs. Arizona

New Orleans Saints running back Alvin Kamara has been busy over his past two games, having handled 54 total touches over that span. Despite his heavy workload, Kamara is surprisingly still looking for his first touchdown of the season. Kamara will look to keep rolling in Week 7's Thursday night game against the Arizona Cardinals. Arizona has been tough against the run in 2022 as they are allowing the ninth-fewest fantasy points per game to the position through six weeks. Kamara is clearly over his early-season rib injury and is safe to treat as a low-end RB1 in fantasy heading into Week 7.

  • Alvin Kamara Gets Heavily Involved

New Orleans Saints running back Alvin Kamara was asked to take on a heavy workload during the Week 6 matchup against the Cincinnati Bengals. The Saints were without three of their primary playmakers for this contest. That being said, Kamara saw the ball in his hands quite often during Sunday's loss. The 27-year-old rushed 19 times for 99 yards, while adding six receptions on nine targets for an additional 25 yards through the air. Kamara has posted back-to-back six-catch outings, which is great news for fantasy managers in PPR formats. The Saints have a quick turnaround with a Thursday Night matchup against the Arizona Cardinals in Week 7. Fantasy managers should be able to count on Kamara as a RB1 for that contest. Although, his fantasy value could change depending on who is at quarterback and if the rest of this offense can get healthy.

  • Alvin Kamara An RB1 In Week 6

New Orleans Saints running back Alvin Kamara rolled up 194 all-purpose yards in a win over the Seattle Seahawks in Week 5. After handling 29 touches in that game last week, Kamara appears to be over the rib injury that has cost him two games thus far in 2022. He will look to post another big game in Week 6 against the Cincinnati Bengals at home. The Bengals have been stout against the run in 2022, allowing the fourth-fewest fantasy points per game to running backs through five games. Despite the tough matchup, Kamara will check in as a top-10 running back in fantasy in Week 6.

  • Alvin Kamara Totals 194 Yards In Week 5 Win

New Orleans Saints running back Alvin Kamara handled 23 carries for 103 yards and six receptions for 91 yards on six targets in a Week 5 victory over the Seattle Seahawks. Fantasy managers have been waiting on this type of performance from Kamara, who disappointed in two games played before this week. This production is encouraging to see and should be sustainable going forward, but Taysom Hill is bound to continue being a thorn in fantasy players' sides as the Swiss Army knife had 100 rushing yards of his own and three touchdowns. Still, Kamara figures to be a quality RB1 going forward and should be started as such against the Cincinnati Bengals in Week 6.

  • Alvin Kamara Likely To Return In Week 5

New Orleans Saints running back Alvin Kamara (ribs) is expected to play on Sunday versus Seattle, per ESPN NFL insider Adam Schefter. The veteran, who missed his previous two games, was limited in practice throughout the week and had been riding a questionable tag. Despite Kamara's subpar production this season, he should be classified as a must-start (assuming he plays) against a Seahawks defense that has allowed the fourth-most fantasy points to opposing backs this season. Kamara's anticipated presence in Week 5 isn't good news for Mark Ingram II, who is expected to reclaim his backup role, thus lowering his potential on the fantasy end.

  • Alvin Kamara Officially Questionable For Week 5

New Orleans Saints running back Alvin Kamara (ribs) has been listed as questionable on the team's final injury report heading into a Week 5 matchup with the Seattle Seahawks. Kamara was a limited participant in practice all week and stated that he feels good and plans to suit up. Luckily for fantasy managers, the Saints kick off at 1 PM EST on Sunday, so Kamara's status will be announced ahead of most games. Assuming he is good to go, the five-time Pro-Bowler should be started in all formats as the Seahawks have allowed the fourth-most PPR fantasy points to opposing running backs this season.

  • Alvin Kamara Expects To Return In Week 5

New Orleans Saints running back Alvin Kamara (rib) said he's feeling good and plans to play in Week 5 against the Seattle Seahawks after he missed the loss to the Minnesota Vikings in London last week. He was listed as limited in Wednesday's practice. Kamara's rib injury has caused him to miss two of the team's four games already this year, but it sounds like he'll be ready to go this Sunday. The 27-year-old will wear extra padding to be on the safe side with his rib injury. If Kamara returns to action, he'll be in play as an RB2 in fantasy, and he could see even more usage in the passing game if receiver Michael Thomas (foot) misses his second straight game. If Kamara doesn't gain clearance for this weekend, veteran Mark Ingram II will once again serve as the Saints lead back.

  • Alvin Kamara Logs A Limited Practice On Wednesday

New Orleans Saints running back Alvin Kamara (ribs) was a limited participant in practice on Wednesday after being scratched early Sunday morning ahead of the team's loss to the Minnesota Vikings in London. Kamara also practiced in a limited capacity last week, so fantasy managers should monitor the situation closely to see if he is truly in line to suit up in Week 5. If Kamara is upgraded to a full participant at some point this week, he could be primed for a bounce-back performance against a Seattle Seahawks defense that has allowed the fourth-most PPR fantasy points to opposing running backs so far this season.

  • Alvin Kamara Inactive For Week 4

New Orleans Saints running back Alvin Kamara (rib) will not play against the Minnesota Vikings in Week 4, head coach Dennis Allen tells Stacey Dales of NFL Network. The 27-year-old had been listed as questionable heading into the contest. New Orleans will now be without three key offensive weapons in Kamara, Jameis Winston (back), and Michael Thomas (foot). Although none of the Saints' playmakers have excessive fantasy appeal due to the dull state of the offense, Mark Ingram projects as a fine mid-to-low RB3 as he draws the start in Kamara's absence.

  • Alvin Kamara Given Another Questionable Tag

New Orleans Saints running back Alvin Kamara (rib) is officially listed as questionable to play in Week 4 against the Minnesota Vikings in London, but he's considered likely to play. NewOrleans.Football's Nick Underhill thinks that quarterback Jameis Winston (ankle, back, hip) being doubtful to play will be "great news" for Kamara's fantasy upside this weekend with backup Andy Dalton under center. Unlike Winston, Dalton will be much more willing to check down to Kamara under the backfield. The Vikings have also been generous when it comes to allowing receptions to RBs through three weeks. And with Michael Thomas (foot) out, there will be more targets available. Kamara is expected to play in London and will have RB2 upside in PPR leagues.

  • Alvin Kamara's Court Case Pushed Back Again

New Orleans Saints running back Alvin Kamara's court case has been pushed back once again. Kamara's court case stems from a Las Vegas incident before the Pro Bowl last year. With his court case continuing to get pushed back, it lowers the chances that he'll actually face a suspension by the league in 2022. However, it's still a possibility later in the season. Off-field issues aside, the 27-year-old has been a disappointment for fantasy managers so far this year. He missed Week 2 with a ribs injury and has 100 rushing yards on 24 carries through two games, adding five receptions for 19 yards. Kamara will remain the team's lead ball-carrier, but with quarterback Jameis Winston (ankle, back, hip) ailing and the offense not moving the ball consistently, Kamara's fantasy ceiling has been lowered.

  • Alvin Kamara Limited In Practice To Begin The Week

New Orleans Saints running back Alvin Kamara (ribs), wide receiver Tre'Quan Smith (concussion) and tight end Taysom Hill (ribs) were all limited in Wednesday's practice. Kamara returned to the Week 3 loss to the Carolina Panthers after sitting out in Week 2. He finished with 73 total yards on 17 touches, but backfield mate Mark Ingram II vultured a touchdown at the goal line. Barring a setback at practice this week, Kamara should be just fine for the Week 4 game in London against the Minnesota Vikings. The 27-year-old has been a disappointment so far, picking up 100 yards on 24 carries (4.2 yards per tote) while catching five of 11 targets for 19 yards in two games.

  • Alvin Kamara Should Bounce Back Versus Vikings

New Orleans Saints running back Alvin Kamara is having a slow start to the season, but should be able to turn it around in Week 4. He's heading into a matchup against the Minnesota Vikings who have struggled to slow down opposing running backs. Through three games, the Vikings defense has allowed the fourth-most fantasy points to opposing running backs. Last week, Kamara finished with 61 rushing yards on 15 attempts, so hopefully he'll have a better performance this week. Fantasy managers should be able to count on him as a RB1 this week.

  • Alvin Kamara Loses Fumble In Week 3

New Orleans Saints running back Alvin Kamara carried the ball 15 times for 61 yards and caught two of his seven targets for 12 yards in a 22-14 loss to the Carolina Panthers in Week 3. Kamara also lost a fumble in the first quarter, which Carolina picked up and returned 44 yards for a defensive touchdown. The veteran running back has been quiet in his two games this year, running for 100 yards and catching just five passes for 19 yards. He is still looking for his first touchdown of the season. Kamara will look to bounce back in a Week 4 matchup against the Minnesota Vikings.

  • Alvin Kamara Officially Active For Week 3

New Orleans Saints running back Alvin Kamara (ribs) is active for Sunday's Week 3 matchup against the Carolina Panthers. He has been banged up most of the season due to a ribs issue. Kamara missed last week's game, but will get back on the field for this game. There is no word on Kamara being limited, so fantasy managers should expect him to get a full workload. Fantasy managers should consider Kamara a low-end RB1 for this matchup.

  • Alvin Kamara Expected To Play Sunday

New Orleans Saints running back Alvin Kamara (rib) is expected to play against the Carolina Panthers in Week 3, according to Adam Schefter of ESPN. He had been listed as questionable heading into this weekend. Kamara amassed just 11 touches for 43 scrimmage yards in Week 1 before missing last Sunday's game against the Buccaneers. Still, with a favorable matchup on tap, he should be viewed as a low-end RB1 in fantasy football.

  • Alvin Kamara Questionable To Play In Week 3

New Orleans Saints running back Alvin Kamara (ribs) is listed as questionable to play in Week 3 against the Carolina Panthers after being a limited participant in practice all week. Kamara was inactive in the Week 2 loss to the division-rival Tampa Bay Buccaneers, but he's closer to returning to the field this week. If he's unable to go, Mark Ingram II and Tony Jones Jr. would continue to split the backfield, with Ingram being the primary back for fantasy purposes as a deep-league flex. If Kamara does return against Carolina, he'll be at risk of seeing a smaller workload as well, putting him as a risky low-end RB2 play for fantasy managers.

  • Alvin Kamara Is Limited Again On Thursday

New Orleans Saints running back Alvin Kamara (ribs) was limited once again for Thursday's practice. The 27-year-old was limited on Wednesday and now Thursday, which should put him as questionable to play in Week 3. He continues to deal with a lingering ribs issue, so fantasy managers might have to wait until later in the week for more information. Kamara would have low-end RB1 value, assuming he can suit up against the Carolina Panthers. Otherwise, Mark Ingram II and Tony Jones Jr. would be asked to carry the load once again.

  • Alvin Kamara Limited On Wednesday

New Orleans Saints running back Alvin Kamara (ribs) was listed as a limited practice participant on Wednesday. Kamara was inactive in the Week 2 loss to the division-rival Tampa Bay Buccaneers, but it's a good sign that he was at least limited in the first practice session this week. The Saints' coaching staff will probably want to see him do more later this week before clearing him to play in Week 3 against the Carolina Panthers, so fantasy managers should consider him questionable for now. The 27-year-old was a disappointment in Week 1, playing 62 percent of the snaps while carrying just nine times for 39 yards and catching three of four targets for seven yards. In his absence last weekend, Tony Jones Jr. saw 50% of the snaps, with Mark Ingram II seeing 36.8% while leading the team with 10 carries for 60 yards.

New Orleans Saints running back Alvin Kamara (ribs) has been diagnosed with a rib cartilage fracture, according to FOX Sports' Jay Glazer. Notably, this is the same injury that Chargers quarterback Justin Herbert suffered on Thursday night. As a result of Kamara's injury, he was held out of action in Week 2, and his availability for Week 3 is also far from a guarantee. Mark Ingram will serve as the lead back for the duration of Kamara's absence.

  • Alvin Kamara Officially Out For Week 2

New Orleans Saints running back Alvin Kamara (ribs) has been officially ruled out for the Week 2 matchup against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. This doesn't come as a surprise considering Kamara didn't practice much this week. The Saints will need to lean on Mark Ingram II (ankle) and Tony Jones Jr. against the Bucs tough run defense. Ingram is already battling an injury himself, so Jones could see more snaps than expected. Despite that, neither should be considered anything more than a low-end RB3 for this Week 2 matchup.

New Orleans Saints running back Alvin Kamara (ribs) is not expected to play much if he plays at all during Sunday's game against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. He didn't practice much this week as he continues to dealing with a lingering ribs issue. The Saints might let him play, but will likely monitor his snaps. That being said, it sounds like Kamara is going to be a risky option against an already tough Bucs defensive line. His absence would mean more snaps for Mark Ingram II (ankle) who is banged up as well. It sounds like the Saints are going to have to attack through the air to move the ball on Sunday.

New Orleans Saints running back Alvin Kamara (ribs) isn't expected to play on Sunday against the Buccaneers. The veteran didn't have a good week of practice, suiting up in a limited capacity or missing sessions altogether due to a rib injury. Fortunately, Mark Ingram II (ankle) is anticipated to be available, so he is more than capable of filling the void left by Kamara's likely absence. Tony Jones Jr. and Dwayne Washington (hamstring) could also get some touches, although not enough to make either man a dependable fantasy option.

  • Alvin Kamara, Mark Ingram II Questionable For Week 2

New Orleans Saints running backs Alvin Kamara (ribs) and Mark Ingram II (ankle) are both listed as questionable for Week 2 against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Kamara was limited in practice on Thursday, but he said out the last two days, putting his status in serious question for the divisional clash on Sunday. Ingram was limited all week. Kamara's fantasy managers should grab Ingram off the waiver wire if he's available, just in case Kamara is inactive this weekend. The Saints also have Tony Jones Jr. and Dwayne Washington, who is also questionable with a hamstring injury. If Kamara is inactive, Taysom Hill, who had four carries for 81 yards and a touchdown in Week 1, will most definitely see an expanded workload on the ground next to Ingram.

New Orleans Saints running back Alvin Kamara (ribs) was not on the field for the portion of Friday's practice that was open to the media. This doesn't necessarily mean he was a non-participant, but at the very least, he was significantly limited. For what it's worth, he was limited on Wednesday but did not practice on Thursday. Between his lack of participation and the Saints' signing of Latavius Murray, it's fair to wonder if Kamara could be inactive for Week 2. If that is the case, Mark Ingram would start at running back against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, giving him RB3 appeal in fantasy football.

  • Alvin Kamara Doesn't Practice Thursday

New Orleans Saints running back Alvin Kamara (ribs) was present but not participating in the portion of Thursday's practice open to the media after he was limited in practice on Wednesday with a rib injury. It's possible that the Saints are giving Kamara a day to rest, but we'll know more about his Week 2 status on Friday. Fantasy managers should have a backup plan in place just in case the 27-year-old is unable to go on Sunday in a divisional clash against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. After a Week 1 win over the Atlanta Falcons in which he saw just nine carries for 39 yards on 62% of the snaps, Kamara's fantasy stock is already falling. Tight end Taysom Hill was more productive on his four carries and also scored a touchdown. Hill and veteran Mark Ingram II figure to split backfield touches if Kamara is inactive.

  • Alvin Kamara Dealing With Rib Issue

New Orleans Saints head coach Dennis Allen said that running back Alvin Kamara (rib) was dealing with a rib issue in the narrow Week 1 victory over the Atlanta Falcons on Sunday, but Allen said, "I think he's going to be fine." Kamara out-snapped Mark Ingram II 38 to 20 on Sunday, carrying the ball nine times for 39 yards while added three receptions for seven yards through the air. The problem was tight end Taysom Hill, who stole four carries away for a team-high 81 yards on the ground and one touchdown. Negative game script didn't help the 27-year-old, but if Hill continues to be involved on the ground, it will lower Kamara's ceiling. Check his injury status this week, but it sounds as though he should be ready to go in a tough matchup against the division-rival Tampa Bay Buccaneers in Week 2.

  • Alvin Kamara Is A Must-Start RB In Week 1

New Orleans Saints running back Alvin Kamara will look to start his 2022 campaign on a high note against an Atlanta Falcons defense that gave up the sixth-most rushing yards in the league last season. Kamara has been bracing for a lawsuit stemming from an incident that occurred during Pro Bowl weekend back in February, but there has been no news on a suspension yet. He has finished each of his five seasons as a top-12 running back in half-PPR scoring, so Kamara will continue to be a must-start option as long as he is on the field. If Michael Thomas (hamstring) is forced to miss Week 1, even more targets could be available for Kamara in an already juicy matchup. He is a locked-in RB1 with week-winning upside.
