  • Kareem Hunt Sees Seven Touches In Return From Injury

Cleveland Browns running back Kareem Hunt carried the ball seven times for 20 yards and failed to corral his lone target in a 16-10 loss to the Baltimore Ravens in Week 12. It was a rough evening on the ground for Cleveland as Hunt's 20 rushing yards were enough to lead the team. In a bit of good news, Hunt appeared to emerge from the game without any setbacks from his calf, an injury that caused him to miss the past five games. An RB3 in PPR leagues, Hunt will now head into his bye in Week 13 before he gets a rematch with the Ravens in Week 14.

  • Kareem Hunt Officially Good To Go On Sunday Night

Cleveland Browns running back Kareem Hunt (calf) is officially active for the AFC North matchup against Baltimore. The 26-year-old missed his last five games because of a calf issue, so fantasy managers are certainly glad to have him back. However, NFL Network's Ian Rapoport indicated on Sunday morning that he would be limited, mostly serving as the third-down option, which would leave the bulk of the duties for Nick Chubb. As a result, fantasy managers may want to wait until Week 14, after the team's bye, before putting him back into the starting lineup.

  • Kareem Hunt To Be Third-Down Back On Sunday Night

Cleveland Browns running back Kareem Hunt (calf) will serve as the third-down back on Sunday evening versus Baltimore, according to NFL Insider Ian Rapoport. Hunt missed his previous five games because of a calf issue that landed him on injured reserve, so the team will look to "ease him in" during the AFC North showdown. Nonetheless, while fantasy managers are undoubtedly excited to have the 26-year-old back, he should concede most of the work to Nick Chubb, making him a risky option in all formats, despite the obvious upside.

  • Kareem Hunt Officially Activated From IR

The Cleveland Browns officially activated running back Kareem Hunt (calf) and offensive tackle Jack Conklin (elbow) from Injured Reserve on Saturday, and both players are on track to play on Sunday night against the Baltimore Ravens in Week 12. It's great news for a Browns offense that has been slowed of late due to all the injuries to quarterback Baker Mayfield. Hunt has been out since Week 6, so it's fair to wonder if his snaps will be limited in his first game back. The 26-year-old had carved out standalone value in PPR leagues before his injury despite splitting backfield work with Nick Chubb. At the very worst, Hunt will probably be in play as an RB3/flex this week, even though the Ravens have been more vulnerable deep down the field than against RBs this season.

  • Kareem Hunt - Week 12 Outlook for Fantasy Football

Cleveland Browns running back Kareem Hunt (calf) is expected to be activated and on the field when his team takes on the Baltimore Ravens in Week 12. Hunt has been sidelined since injuring his calf during a Week 6 loss to the Arizona Cardinals. The veteran running back will take on a Baltimore defense that is allowing the 17th-fewest fantasy points per game to opposing running backs. If Hunt is active, look for him to slot in for the majority of the work in the passing game plus his usual 12-14 carries on the ground. That will be enough to treat him as a low-end RB2 in fantasy for Week 12.

  • Kareem Hunt Expected To Be Activated, Play Against Ravens

Cleveland Browns head coach Kevin Stefanski said that he expects running back Kareem Hunt (calf) and offensive tackle Jack Conklin (elbow) to be activated from Injured Reserve and play on Sunday night against the Baltimore Ravens. It sounds as though Hunt had a good week of practice and will be active in Week 12, but his fantasy managers may be wondering if he'll be eased back into the offensive game plan alongside Nick Chubb. After all, Hunt has been sidelined since Week 6 with a calf strain. But before his injury, the 26-year-old had standalone value (mostly in PPR leagues) despite sharing this backfield with Chubb. If he's officially active on Sunday night, Hunt will be in the mix as an RB3/flex in PPR leagues, at the very least.

  • Kareem Hunt Optimistic He'll Play In Week 12

Cleveland Browns running back Kareem Hunt (calf), who returned to practice on Wednesday, is optimistic that he'll be able to return on Sunday night against the Baltimore Ravens after missing five games with a calf strain. "See how I feel during the week, but I'm definitely thinking I'm going to play," Hunt said. The Browns will make the ultimate decision as to whether Hunt will be active in Week 12. His pending return isn't great news for Nick Chubb, but the two were both putting up solid fantasy numbers earlier this year when they were both healthy. The risk with Hunt is that he'll be active and be eased into the offensive game plan after a long layoff. If he's a game-time decision, it will also make things much harder on his fantasy managers with the game being on Sunday night. The Browns must officially activate Hunt from Injured Reserve if they hope to use him this weekend.

  • Kareem Hunt Designated For Return From IR

The Cleveland Browns designated running back Kareem Hunt (calf) to return from injured reserve on Wednesday. The Browns now have a 21-day window to add Hunt to the active 53-man roster. Hunt has missed the past five games after injuring his calf during his team's loss to the Arizona Cardinals in Week 6. Hunt's return to action is good news for the Browns in real life but it is not great for fantasy gamers who have been relying on Nick Chubb and D'Ernest Johnson over the past month. Chubb will lose a handful of carries and significant work in the passing game to Hunt while Johnson is unlikely to see many touches at all once Hunt is back. Once Hunt is activated, fantasy gamers can go back to plugging him into lineups as a solid RB3 in PPR leagues.

  • Browns Hopeful Kareem Hunt Will Play In Week 12

Cleveland Browns head coach Kevin Stefanski said that the team should be able to get both running back Kareem Hunt (calf) and offensive tackle Jack Conklin (elbow) back on the practice field this week. The Browns are also hopeful that Hunt and Conklin can play in Week 12 against the Baltimore Ravens next Sunday night. It would be excellent news for a Browns offense struggling with quarterback Baker Mayfield (shoulder, knee, foot) battling just to be on the field on game days. Hunt has been out since Week 6 with a calf strain, but was in the RB2 picture in PPR leagues despite sharing the backfield with Nick Chubb before his injury. Hunt could be used even more once he's back up to full speed and is currently owned in 90% of Yahoo leagues despite his lengthy absence.

  • Kareem Hunt Won't Return This Week

Cleveland Browns running back Kareem Hunt (calf) will not return in Week 11 against the Detroit Lions, but head coach Kevin Stefanski said he's getting closer to returning from Injured Reserve. Hunt has been out since Week 6 with a right calf strain. If he was dropped in your league, he needs to be picked up and stashed immediately. With Nick Chubb and rookie Demetric Felton on the COVID-19 list last week, D'Ernest Johnson had the backfield all to himself and fell a yard short of his second 100-yard game of 2021. Chubb should be able to return and play this Sunday against the Lions, where he'll be a no-brainer RB1 in a great matchup. Hunt should have standalone value in PPR leagues when he returns next to Chubb in Cleveland's run-heavy offense.

  • Kareem Hunt Won't Return In Week 10

Cleveland Browns head coach Kevin Stefanski said that running back Kareem Hunt (calf) will not come off Injured Reserve to play in Week 10 against the New England Patriots. The Browns aren't just going to rush Hunt back because three-fourths of their RB room is on the COVID-19 list this week. With Nick Chubb, rookie Demetric Felton and John Kelly on the COVID-19 list, D'Ernest Johnson is in line for an elevated workload this Sunday against the Pats. Brian Hill, who was signed on Tuesday, will likely back him up. Don't expect Johnson to run for over 150 yards like he did in his start against the Denver Broncos a few weeks ago, but the volume increase alone should put him on the RB2/3 borderline.

  • Kareem Hunt Officially Placed On Injured Reserve

The Cleveland Browns officially placed running back Kareem Hunt (ankle) and rookie linebacker Jeremiah Owusu-Koramoah (ankle) on Injured Reserve on Tuesday, sidelining both players for at least three games. Hunt's timetable is expected to be four to six weeks, so he could wind up missing more than just three games after injuring his calf in the Week 6 loss to the Arizona Cardinals. With Nick Chubb (calf) missing Week 6 and likely to miss Thursday night's game against the Denver Broncos, D'Ernest Johnson and Demetric Felton are setting up for a committee approach on a short week. Hunt had carved out some nice standalone fantasy value despite sharing touches with Chubb, so he needs to be stashed in all formats. Running back John Kelly was signed to the active roster in a corresponding move.

  • Kareem Hunt Likely Headed To Injured Reserve

Cleveland Browns running back Kareem Hunt (calf) will be sidelined several weeks and is likely headed for injured reserve, according to Ian Rapoport. The rough estimate for his absence is four-to-six weeks, so the Browns will be without one of their top offensive players for a significant time period. Nick Chubb (calf) could miss another game, but his injury doesn't seem to be as significant as Hunt's. D'Ernest Johnson and Demetric Felton will fill the holes in the backfield for the time being, but once Chubb is ready to return he is likely to be relied upon even more. Chubb is likely going to be held out on Thursday night, so Johnson and Felton could be top waiver adds and would have some upside as FLEX options against the Denver Broncos in Week 7.

Oct 18 · Source via Browns Kareem Hunt
  • Nick Chubb, Kareem Hunt Unlikely To Play Thursday

Cleveland Browns running backs Nick Chubb (calf) and Kareem Hunt (calf) are both unlikely to play on Thursday night against the Denver Broncos. Considering the fact they are on a short week, it is no surprise the best running back duo in the league are being handled with caution, as the Browns will need them back to full health considering their offense primarily runs through the two of them. In their absence, D'Ernest Johnson and Demetric Felton should have a significant role in the run-heavy offensive scheme. Johnson should see the Chubb role as the early-down back, while Felton plays the Hunt role as the pass-catching and third-down back. If Chubb and Hunt are both ruled out, consider Johnson and Felton lower-end FLEX plays.

  • Kareem Hunt Goes For 66 Yards, Injures Calf

Cleveland Browns running back Kareem Hunt carried the ball 14 times for 66 yards while adding 12 yards on three receptions in a 37-14 loss to the Arizona Cardinals in Week 6. Hunt had most of the backfield work to himself with Nick Chubb (calf) missing the game, but the Browns were also without both of their starting tackles, which caused issues for the offense. Hunt went down on a non-contact injury during the second half and had to be helped off of the field with what the team is calling a calf injury. The team will have him go for an MRI on Monday but he is looking extremely doubtful for Week 7's matchup, which happens to be the Thursday game against the Denver Broncos.

  • Kareem Hunt Not Dealing With An Achilles Injury

Updating an earlier report, Cleveland Browns running back Kareem Hunt (calf) did not sustain an Achilles injury, at least according to head coach Kevin Stefanski. The veteran suffered a non-contact injury during Sunday's bout against the Cardinals and didn't return. However, although the latest update is encouraging, things didn't look promising for the 26-year-old, mainly after he needed to be carried off the field. With the Browns having a short turnaround ahead of the Thursday Night Football outing against the Denver Broncos, it's possible that Hunt won't be in the lineup for that one.

  • Kareem Hunt Injures Leg, Exits Early Against Cardinals

Cleveland Browns running back Kareem Hunt (leg) was assisted off the field during Sunday's matchup against the Arizona Cardinals. He will not return. The veteran suffered a non-contact injury during the third quarter, and he went down holding the back of his right leg. With the team already withoutNick Chubb (calf) heading into Week 6, the news is even worse, especially if both men aren't available moving forward. As a result, Demetric Felton and D'Ernest Johnson could be in store for more work in the coming weeks.

  • Kareem Hunt Active For Week 6

Cleveland Browns running back Kareem Hunt (knee, wrist) is active for Sunday's game against the Arizona Cardinals, though he'll be playing without both of the team's starting tackles. With Nick Chubb (calf) out, Hunt should see plenty of early down work, but his injury status means that D'Ernest Johnson and Demetric Felton should mix in as well. Still, Hunt is a talented back and will serve as the featured back this week. He's a low-end RB1 play.

Oct 17 · Source via Browns Kareem Hunt
  • Kareem Hunt Expected To Play Against Cardinals

Cleveland Browns running back Kareem Hunt (knee, wrist) is beat up, but head coach Kevin Stefanski said he looked good in practice on Friday and will get more work than usual on Sunday against the Arizona Cardinals with Nick Chubb (calf) ruled out. However, Hunt will also be on somewhat of a pitch count. "I don't want to kill Kareem," Stefanski said. Hunt was listed as questionable on the final injury report, but he's expected to suit up and be Cleveland's primary ball-carrier. D'Ernest Johnson and rookie Demetric Felton should have bigger roles behind Hunt, but we don't expect either of them to see enough touches to have standalone fantasy value behind Hunt. With the elevated role in this run-first offense, Hunt becomes a must-start RB1 with Chubb sidelined.

Oct 17 · Source via Browns Kareem Hunt
  • Kareem Hunt Questionable To Play In Week 6

Cleveland Browns running back Kareem Hunt (knee, wrist) returned to a limited practice on Friday and is questionable to play in Week 6 on Sunday against the Arizona Cardinals. Hunt missed practice Wednesday and Thursday, but the return to practice Friday gives him a chance to be the team's clear lead back with Nick Chubb (calf) having already been ruled out. Even with Chubb healthy, Hunt has been the RB5 in fantasy entering this weekend, so he has clear RB1 upside against Arizona if he's active on Sunday. Hunt has 55 rushing attempts for 295 yards and five touchdowns while also adding 17 catches for 149 extra yards. If Hunt joins Chubb on the inactive list, D'Ernest Johnson and rookie Demetric Felton would split the backfield workload.

  • Kareem Hunt, Nick Chubb Miss Thursday Practice

Cleveland Browns running backs Kareem Hunt (wrist, knee) and Nick Chubb (calf) both missed practice on Thursday, making it two days in a row that the star runners have not been able to take the field. Hunt was spotted working off to the side while Chubb was not seen at all on Thursday. The Browns have yet to shed much light on the situation, although a second consecutive missed practice indicates that Wednesday's absence was likely more than just a veteran maintenance day for Hunt and Chubb. A return to at least a limited session on Friday would be a step in the right direction for both running backs, so stay tuned to Cleveland's final injury report of the week. If neither can play on Sunday against the Arizona Cardinals, both D'Ernest Johnson and Demetric Felton would be in the mix for backfield carries.

  • Nick Chubb, Kareem Hunt Not Practicing

Cleveland Browns running backs Nick Chubb (calf) and Kareem Hunt (knee, wrist) both sat out of practice on Wednesday. It's unknown if either Chubb or Hunt are in danger of missing Week 6 against the Arizona Cardinals, but we'll continue to monitor their status throughout the week. Chubb had a monster day in the Week 5 loss to the Los Angeles Chargers, carrying the ball 21 times for 161 yards and a touchdown. Hunt still got his, rushing 12 times for 61 yards and two touchdowns while adding five catches for 28 yards. In this run-first offense, both Chubb and Hunt can co-exist and maintain standalone fantasy value. If one or both are unable to play this weekend, D'Ernest Johnson and rookie Demetric Felton would have larger roles against Arizona.

  • Kareem Hunt Scores Twice In Week 5

Cleveland Browns running back Kareem Hunt notched a two-touchdown game in a 47-42 loss to the Los Angeles Chargers in Week 5. Hunt carried the ball 12 times for 61 yards and two touchdowns while catching five of six targets for 28 yards in the contest. The multi-touchdown game gives Hunt five scores in five games, despite the fact that he is operating as the backup to starting running back Nick Chubb. Hunt has seen double-digit carries in four straight games as he cements himself as a solid RB2 in fantasy going forward and proves that he can co-exist with Chubb in the Cleveland backfield. He will face off against the Arizona Cardinals at home in Week 6.

  • Kareem Hunt On The RB2 Radar

Cleveland Browns running back Kareem Hunt has outproduced starter Nick Chubb over the past two weeks, scoring twice while Chubb hasn't found the end zone since Week 2. Hunt will look to continue his success in Week 5's road game against the Los Angeles Chargers. Los Angeles presents a decent matchup for running backs as they are allowing the 14th-fewest fantasy points per game to the position through four games. Hunt is clearly establishing himself as a major piece of the Cleveland offense, having seen 37 carries and 12 targets over the past three games. Fantasy gamers can treat Hunt as a solid RB2 for Week 5's showdown with the Chargers.

  • Kareem Hunt Looking To Build On Big Performance Last Week

Cleveland Browns running back Kareem Hunt turned in his best game of the season in Week 3, scoring a touchdown while rolling up 155 all-purpose yards in a win. Hunt will look to stay hot in a road matchup against the Minnesota Vikings in Week 4. Minnesota represents a neutral matchup for Hunt as they are allowing the 17th-most fantasy points per game. That being said, this game has the potential to develop into a high-scoring contest. Hunt will be fine to start in fantasy as a low-end RB2 in Week 4.

  • Kareem Hunt Scores, Catches Six Passes In Win

Cleveland Browns running back Kareem Hunt turned in a big game in a 26-6 win over the Chicago Bears in Week 3. Hunt carried the ball 10 times for 81 yards and a touchdown while adding six catches for 74 yards in the win. The veteran running back broke two tackles on his 29-yard touchdown, including one behind the line of scrimmage, as he scampered down the right sideline. Hunt will periodically find ways to outproduce teammate Nick Chubb in some weeks but Chubb remains the better bet for fantasy production going forward. Hunt will take on the Minnesota Vikings in Week 4.

  • Kareem Hunt A Low-End RB2 Vs. Chicago

Cleveland Browns running back Kareem Hunt will take on the Chicago Bears at home in Week 3. Hunt has carried the ball 19 times for 84 yards and a touchdown while adding four receptions for 30 yards through two games. While he is operating as the backup to starter Nick Chubb, Hunt only has six fewer touches than Chubb does thus far. The Bears have been solid against the run so far, allowing the fifth-fewest fantasy points per game to running backs. That being said, Hunt could see an uptick in work in the passing game with Jarvis Landry sidelined for the next few weeks. Treat Hunt as a low-end RB2 for Week 3.

  • Kareem Hunt A Quality Flex Vs. Texans

Cleveland Browns running back Kareem Hunt found the end zone in his team's Week 1 loss to the Kansas City Chiefs. He will look to score again in Week 2's home matchup against the Houston Texans. Hunt should benefit from the matchup as the Texans allowed the second-most fantasy points per game to running backs in 2020. While he will see fewer touches than starter Nick Chubb, Hunt should still see a sizable workload in a game where the Browns are 12.5-point home favorites and shouldn't have to throw the ball all that frequently. Treat Hunt as a high-end RB3/solid flex option for Week 2.

Sep 15 · Source via Browns Kareem Hunt
  • Kareem Hunt A Solid Flex Play In Week 1

Cleveland Browns running back Kareem Hunt will square off against his old team when he travels to Kansas City to take on the Chiefs in Week 1. Hunt managed to find the end zone the last time he faced the Chiefs while rushing for 32 yards on six carries in a playoff loss. Fantasy gamers already know what they are going to get from the veteran running back as he will see plenty of action as the third-down back and occasionally spell starter Nick Chubb on early downs. That role makes Hunt's touches unpredictable from week to week, but a road matchup as 6.5-point underdogs in Kansas City seems like a good spot for Hunt to see extensive work in the passing game. Treat Hunt as a high-end flex option, especially in PPR leagues, for the season opener on Sunday.
