  • Kenny Golladay Expected Back In Week 3

Detroit Lions wide receiver Kenny Golladay (hamstring), who has missed the first two weeks of the season, is expected to return in Week 3 against the Cardinals, according to a league source. Golladay was close to playing in Week 2, but the Lions didn't want to risk aggravating the injury. The 26-year-old led the league with 11 touchdowns in 2019 and finished seventh in the league with 1,190 receiving yards, which was his second straight season with over 1,000 yards receiving. You still need to keep an eye on Golladay's practice status this week, but it looks like you can insert him back into starting lineups against Arizona, where he'll have WR1 upside if he's at full strength.

  • Kenny Golladay Really Close To A Return

Detroit Lions wide receiver Kenny Golladay (hamstring) won't play Week 2 but is "really close" to a return, according to head coach Matt Patricia. Golladay hasn't been able to practice since injuring his hamstring prior to Week 1. Detroit's offense moved the ball well in Week 1, though they were clearly missing the presence of their alpha wideout. It hasn't been an ideal start to the season for those who drafted him, but it sure sounds like the extra week of rest could allow Golladay to be ready to take the field for Week 3 against the Cardinals, a potential high-scoring affair.

  • Kenny Golladay Ruled Out For Week 2

Detroit Lions wide receiver Kenny Golladay (hamstring) has been officially ruled out for Week 2 against the Packers. Golladay will miss his second straight game to open the season, but hopefully his fantasy managers will be able to put him into their lineups for Week 3. The Lions will use three-wide sets of Marvin Jones Jr., Danny Amendola and rookie Quintez Cephus against their division rivals on Sunday. Jones will be a high-end WR3 and Amendola will be in flex consideration in DFS and deeper leagues. Tight end T.J. Hockenson will be intriguing with some TE1 upside with Golladay out again.

  • Kenny Golladay To Be Very Limited Friday

Detroit Lions head coach Matt Patricia said that wide receiver Kenny Golladay (hamstring) will be "very limited" in practice on Friday. Golladay missed practice on Wednesday and Thursday and is in real danger of missing his second straight game to kick off the 2020 season. Detroit's No. 1 receiver is on the wrong side of questionable for Sunday against the Packers, and you might even say he's doubtful at this point. You should be preparing for him to miss another game. Marvin Jones Jr., Danny Amendola and rookie Quintez Cephus should operate in three-receiver sets, with tight end T.J. Hockenson seeing more targets if Golladay sits again.

  • Kenny Golladay Yet To Practice This Week

Detroit Lions wide receiver Kenny Golladay (hamstring), who missed the season-opening loss to the Bears, missed his second straight day of practice on Thursday. Golladay hasn't been ruled out for Week 2 against the Packers, but it's obviously not a good sign, especially since he didn't play last week. The team's No. 1 wideout could disappoint his fantasy managers as a WR1 if he actually makes his season debut, but as of now, we'd be making other plans if you own him. Keep an eye on Golladay's practice status on Friday, as he'll need to do at least something to have a chance to play. Marvin Jones Jr., Danny Amendola and tight end T.J. Hockenson all become more intriguing if Golladay misses another contest.

  • Kenny Golladay Unable To Practice Wednesday

Detroit Lions wide receiverKenny Golladay (hamstring) will not practice Wednesday, casting further doubt on his availability for Week 2 against the Packers. Golladay was unable to play in Week 1 against the Bears, and his status for this week is now definitely up in the air. The Lions have been ravaged by injuries on defense and now must possibly prepare to play without their top receiver for the second straight game. If Golladay can't play, expect more targets for Marvin Jones Jr., tight end T.J. Hockenson andDanny Amendola.

  • Kenny Golladay Inactive In Week 1

Detroit Lions wide receiver Kenny Golladay is officially inactive for Detroit's Week 1 meeting with the Chicago Bears. No surprises here, as fantasy managers should have been planning all week to be without Golladay, but if you still have him in your lineup, you need to make sure you slide someone else into that slot. If you're looking for a Lions player who might be worth a deep league dart throw because of this news, Danny Amendola should see plenty of usage in the slot.

  • Kenny Golladay Doubtful For Week 1

Detroit Lions wide receiver Kenny Golladay (hamstring) is listed as doubtful for Week 1 against the Bears after injuring his hamstring in practice this week. Golladay injured himself on Wednesday, sat out on Thursday and was "very limited" Friday, so fantasy managers need to start making other plans for the season opener. It's a rough start for Golladay and his fantasy owners, as he was supposed to be a set-and-forget WR1 all season long after becoming Matthew Stafford's go-to target before his injury in 2019. Without Golladay in the lineup against Chicago, Marvin Jones Jr., Danny Amendola and tight end T.J. Hockenson will be Stafford's top-three pass-catchers. Jones should be seen as a must-start.

  • Kenny Golladay, Danny Amendola, D'Andre Swift Limited

Detroit Lions wide receivers Kenny Golladay (hamstring) and Danny Amendola (hamstring) and rookie running back D'Andre Swift (hip) were all limited in practice on Wednesday. All three players should be good to go, barring any setbacks, for Week 1 against the Bears. Golladay is the clear No. 1 in Detroit and finished as a top-10 wideout in 2019. Start him with confidence as a WR1 despite the tough matchup with Detroit. Amendola might have a decent game here and there, but the targets probably just won't be there to make him anything more than a WR4/flex in deep PPR leagues on a weekly basis. Swift's stock is down a bit heading into his NFL debut because of the injury and the signing of Adrian Peterson. He has RB2 upside as the most likely leader of backfield touches in 2020, but RotoBaller has him as more of an RB3 in Week 1 against a stingy Bears Defense.

  • Kenny Golladay Is Matchup-Proof In Week 1

Detroit Lions wide receiver Kenny Golladay will look to get his season off on the right foot against a tough Bears Defense in Week 1. Golladay posted a career-high 1,190 yards with 11 touchdowns even as the Lions had a revolving door at quarterback due to injuries. His Week 1 matchup on paper seems unappealing against a Bears secondary that allowed the second fewest fantasy points to opposing receivers. But Chicago struggled covering the physicality of Golladay in 2019, who posted seven catches for 215 yards and two touchdowns in two games against them last season. Golladay can be started with confidence Week 1.

  • Lions Might Begin Extension Talks With Kenny Golladay

After the Detroit Lions signed left tackle Taylor Decker to a contract extension on Tuesday, sources say that Detroit may now start talking with wide receiver Kenny Golladay about an extension. The two sides haven't started discussions, however, and no deal is imminent. Golladay deserves a new deal and wants one before the start of the 2020 season. He's had back-to-back 1,000-yard receiving seasons and led football with his 11 trips to the end zone in 2019. With a healthy Matthew Stafford back under center for the Lions, Golladay's ceiling remains high as a top-10 fantasy wideout. Stafford suffered his season-ending injury in Week 9 of last year, so a full season with Stafford should keep him as a high-end WR1.

  • Kenny Golladay May Improve Even More This Season

Detroit Lions wide receiver Kenny Golladay could be in store for an even more productive season in 2020, according to NFL Network's analytics expert, Cynthia Frelund. With Matthew Stafford back under center and offensive coordinator Darrell Bevell opening the door for a more balanced play-calling approach, the 26-year-old should be on everyone's fantasy radar. Golladay finished the 2019 campaign with 1,190 yards and 11 touchdowns off of 65 catches (116 targets). He also was one of the league's most lethal threats inside the 20-yard line as well as downfield. With most fantasy drafts loaded on the front end with running backs, Golladay's ADP doesn't reflect his potential impact on the fantasy end and is worth a reach for those in need of an elite wideout.

  • Kenny Golladay Could Command A Big Payday

Detroit Lions wide receiver Kenny Golladay is entering the final year of his contract and could command big money moving forward, according to Justin Rogers of The Detroit News. With Amari Cooper recently receiving a five-year, $100 million deal this offseason, the Lions may need to surpass that amount to retain his services. The 26-year-old racked up 1,190 yards and 11 touchdowns off of 65 catches in 2019 and did so despite the season-ending back injury to quarterback Matthew Stafford. He also was one of the league's most proficient downfield threats while also serving as an equally dominant menace inside the 10-yard line. Fantasy managers will want to plan accordingly in drafts for the 2020 season as Golladay will be one of the first wideouts off the board, especially in standard formats.
