  • Chris Godwin Undergoes Successful Knee Surgery

Tampa Bay Buccaneers wide receiver Chris Godwin (knee) underwent successful surgery to fix his ACL and MCL on Monday, and the procedure was performed by noted expert Dr. James Andrews in Florida, according to a source. Godwin didn't have any meniscus damage, and he is scheduled to make a full recovery as he heads towards free agency in the offseason. The 25-year-old will be missed as Tampa tries to defend their Super Bowl title from last year in this season's playoffs. He finished the year with 98 catches for 1,103 yards and five touchdowns on 127 targets in 14 games. Antonio Brown won't finish out the year with Tampa either after his meltdown on Sunday, so the Bucs are now down to Mike Evans, Cyril Grayson and Tyler Johnson as their top three receivers.

  • Chris Godwin Suffers Torn ACL, Out For The Season

Tampa Bay Buccaneers wide receiver Chris Godwin (knee) suffered a torn ACL in Sunday night's loss to the Saints, which will bring an end to the upcoming free agent's 2021 season. The injury did not appear to be that serious at first glance, but further testing showed the ACL tear. The Tampa Bay offense will be shorthanded next week, but the return of Antonio Brown will help the cause with Godwin now out of the picture. Brown saw 32 targets from Week 4 to Week 6, so he could immediately enter the WR2 discussion in Week 16 when the Bucs travel to Carolina. Tyler Johnson was able to catch four passes for 41 yards on seven targets after Godwin and Mike Evans (hamstring) exited the game in Week 15, so the sophomore figures to see an uptick in fantasy value with his role almost certainly to be increased.

  • Chris Godwin Expected To Miss Rest Of The Season

Tampa Bay Buccaneers wide receiver Chris Godwin (knee) suffered an MCL sprain during his team's 9-0 loss to the New Orleans Saints in Week 15 and is expected to miss the remainder of the regular season with the injury. While a stint on the Injured Reserve is possible, Godwin should be able to return by the start of the playoffs. Sunday's game was a rough one for the Buccaneers, who also lost receiver Mike Evans (hamstring) and running back Leonard Fournette (hamstring) to injury. Second-year wide receiver Tyler Johnson caught four of seven targets for 41 yards in the loss and is a priority waiver add this week for fantasy gamers still alive in the fantasy playoffs.

  • Chris Godwin Believed To Have MCL Sprain

Tampa Bay Buccaneers wide receiver Chris Godwin (knee) is believed to have sustained an MCL sprain during Sunday's matchup against the Saints. However, he will have more tests on Monday, including an MRI, to confirm the diagnosis. Nonetheless, fantasy managers aren't out of the woods as of yet, especially since Godwin will likely miss some time moving ahead regardless of the outcome. Mike Evans (hamstring) and Leonard Fournette (hamstring) were also banged up, so Ronald Jones II, Antonio Brown, and Scotty Miller could see an increase in attention from those looking to fill a void.

  • Chris Godwin, Mike Evans Done For Week 15

Tampa Bay Buccaneers wide receivers Mike Evans (hamstring) and Chris Godwin (knee) won't return to the Sunday night matchup versus the New Orleans Saints. This makes things complicated for the defending champs, with the team now down to just three available wideouts. Leonard Fournette and Rob Gronkowski will likely get the most attention from Tom Brady for the remainder of Week 15, although Scotty Miller, Ronald Jones II, and Cameron Brate may get more involved. .

  • Chris Godwin Questionable To Return On Sunday Night

Tampa Bay Buccaneers wide receiver Chris Godwin (knee) is questionable to return to Sunday Night Football against the Saints. Mike Evans (hamstring) is doubtful, so if either can't make it back, Leonard Fournette and Rob Gronkowski are the favorites to see an increase in looks from Tom Brady. At the same time, Scotty Miller and Cameron Brate could also become more relevant. Nonetheless, an update should come soon. However, if both of them are out moving ahead, it may be an even more promising sign that Antonio Brown (suspension) could be back in the mix sooner rather than later.

  • Chris Godwin - Week 15 Outlook for Fantasy Football

Tampa Bay Buccaneers wide receiver Chris Godwin has caught at least 10 passes in back-to-back games and will look to extend his streak to three against the New Orleans Saints in Week 15. The Saints rank 16th in DVOA against WR2s ad have allowed the fourth-most fantasy points to wide receivers this season. Godwin erupted for eight catches for 140 yards and touchdown in his previous game against New Orleans. The 25-year-old is a must-start and a top-10 fantasy receiver option in Week 15.

  • Chris Godwin Catches 10 passes In Win Over Bills

Tampa Bay Buccaneers wide receiver Chris Godwin reeled in 10-of-15 targets for 105 yards in Sunday's 33-27 overtime win over the Buffalo Bills. He's now caught at least 10 passes in back-to-back games. The 25-year-old continues to see an uptick in target share while teammate WR Antonio Brown is serving a three-game suspension. He's caught 92 passes for 1,054 yards and five touchdowns over 13 games in 2021. Godwin is a low-end WR1 against the New Orleans Saints and will look to extend his double-digit catch streak to three games in Week 15.

  • Chris Godwin - Week 14 Outlook for Fantasy Football

Tampa Bay Buccaneers wide receiver Chris Godwin is coming off a monster performance in the Week 13 win over the Atlanta Falcons. He caught 15-of-17 targets for 143 yards and rushed once for nine yards in last Sunday's win. Godwin will look to build on his performance against the Buffalo Bills in Week 14. The Bills defense has been tough all season and ranks first in pass DVOA but will be without star cornerback Tre'Davious White, who sustained a torn ACL during the Thanksgiving game against the Saints. Buccaneers wide receiver Antonio Brown is serving a three-game suspension. Once again, Godwin should be heavily targeted by QB Tom Brady and is a borderline WR1 against the Bills.

  • Chris Godwin Erupts For 15 Catches In Week 13 Win

Tampa Bay Buccaneers wide receiver Chris Godwin reeled in 15-of-17 targets for 143 yards and rushed once for nine yards in Sunday's win over the Atlanta Falcons. He led the team with 17 targets in the Week 13 win and recorded his fourth 100-yard campaign of the season. The 25-year-old had three receptions gaining 15 or more yards. Godwin should continue to see a heavy volume of targets with wide receiver Antonio Brown serving a three-game suspension. He has had a terrific season, catching 82 passes for 949 yards and five touchdowns over 12 games in 2021. Godwin is a must-start against the Buffalo Bills in Week 14.

  • Chris Godwin - Week 13 Outlook for Fantasy Football

Tampa Bay Buccaneers wide receiver Chris Godwin is coming off a modest performance in the Week 12 win over the Indianapolis Colts. He caught four of five targets for 24 yards and lost a fumble in last Sunday's win. The 25-year-old will look to bounce back in week 13 against a Falcons defense that ranks 30th in DVOA against WR2s. Godwin has been excellent this season, hauling in 67 catches for 805 yards and five touchdowns over 11 games in 2021. The Penn State product is a low-end WR1 in a plus matchup against a Falcons defense that surrenders the 10th most fantasy points to wide receivers this season.

  • Chris Godwin - Week 12 Outlook for Fantasy Football

Tampa Bay Buccaneers wide receiver Chris Godwin has caught 29 catches for 373 and three touchdowns over four games with WR Antonio Brown (ankle) sidelined. He will look to continue his impressive run against the Indianapolis Colts in Week 12. The Colts have given up the fourth-most points to opposing wideouts but rank fifth in DVOA against WR2s. Godwin owns 20% of the team's target share and an impressive 6.8 YAC per reception, ranked eighth among all wideouts. In a projected high-scoring affair (51.5 over/under), Godwin is a borderline WR1 against the Colts in Week 12.

  • Mike Evans, Chris Godwin Good To Go

Tampa Bay Buccaneers wide receivers Mike Evans (back) and Chris Godwin (foot) were both taken off the final injury report for Week 12 against the Indianapolis Colts. Evans' status for Sunday's game was in question after he missed practice on both Wednesday and Thursday, but he returned to a full practice on Friday and is good to go against the Colts. Antonio Brown (ankle) remains out of action, so Evans and Godwin should continue to be targeted heavily in Tampa's pass-happy offense. Through 11 weeks of the 2021 season, Evans is the WR6 in fantasy with 679 receiving yards and a league-high 10 touchdowns, while Godwin is the WR10 with 782 receiving yards and five scores. They will both be must-starts this weekend.

  • Chris Godwin Still Listed With Foot Injury

Tampa Bay Buccaneers wide receiver Chris Godwin (foot) continues to be limited in practice with his foot injury. Godwin didn't look limited all on Monday night, though, on his way to catching all six of his targets for 65 yards and a touchdown. He has scored in three of the last four games and remains a must-start WR1 in Tampa's pass-happy offense, especially with Antonio Brown (ankle) trending in the wrong direction to return in Week 12 against the Indianapolis Colts. Entering Week 12 action, Godwin checks in as the No. 9 fantasy receiver with 63 catches on 84 targets for 782 yards and five touchdowns. He's also scored a touchdown on the ground. Start him with confidence again this week.

  • Chris Godwin Removed Off Injury Report for Week 11

Tampa Bay Buccaneers wide receiver Chris Godwin (foot) doesn't carry an injury designation for Monday's game against the New York Giants. He was limited in practice this week but is all systems go for Week 11. The 25-year-old should see an uptick in targets as wide receiver Antonio Brown (ankle) was ruled out for a fourth consecutive game. Godwin has hauled in 28 receptions for 351 yards and two touchdowns over the four games Brown has been out. The Penn State product is a low-end WR1 against a Giants defense ranked 15th in DVOA against WR2s.

  • Chris Godwin Limited In Practice This Week

Tampa Bay Buccaneers wide receiver Chris Godwin (foot) practiced on a limited basis for the second straight day on Friday. Godwin was questionable going into last week with his foot injury, but he ultimately played and close to 100% of the offensive snaps while catching seven of his eight targets for 57 yards in the loss to the Washington Football Team. Barring a setback, the 25-year-old pass-catcher will be just fine for Monday night's game against the New York Giants, where he'll be a must-start, low-end WR1 for fantasy managers. Godwin is a must-start normally in Tampa's pass-heavy offense, but even more so with Antonio Brown (ankle) likely to miss his fourth straight game.

  • Chris Godwin Catches Seven Passes In Loss

Tampa Bay Buccaneers wide receiver Chris Godwin caught seven passes for 57 yards in the team's 29-19 loss to the Washington Football Team in Week 10. Godwin saw eight targets in the game and came into this contest riding a hot streak that now has been cooled. Over his last five games, Godwin has 35 receptions on 47 targets for 421 yards with two touchdowns. The talented receiver was questionable coming into this game with a foot injury and as long as he did not aggravate the ailment, Godwin will be a WR1/2 selection in Week 11 against the Giants.

  • Chris Godwin Will Suit Up Against Washington

Tampa Bay Buccaneers wide receiver Chris Godwin (foot) isn't listed on the team's official injury report, meaning he will play on Sunday against Washington. The 25-year-old missed several practices earlier this week, but he returned to practice on Friday and didn't appear in any real danger of missing this one. With Antonio Brown (ankle) and Rob Gronkowski (back) out, Godwin should get plenty of consideration in both season-long and DFS formats for Week 10. He's a must-start, even with the risk of re-injury during Sunday's game.

  • Chris Godwin Expected To Play In Week 10

Tampa Bay Buccaneers wide receiver Chris Godwin (foot) is expected to play in Sunday's game against the Washington Football Team. He was limited in practice this week due to a foot injury, but all systems go for Week 10. The Buccaneers will be without wide receivers Antonio Brown (ankle), Scotty Miller (toe), and tight end Rob Gronkowski (back). With Brown sidelined, Godwin has been productive recently, hauling in 16 catches for 251 yards and two touchdowns over two games. Washington is ranked 27th in pass DVOA and 32nd in DVOA against opponent's WR2s. Fantasy managers should check back Sunday morning on Godwin's status, but if active, the Penn State product is a surefire WR1 in Week 10.

  • Chris Godwin Heading Towards Game-Time Call

Tampa Bay Buccaneers wide receiver Chris Godwin (foot) was spotted at the team's practice Friday. Godwin had a helmet on and was able to run in place while testing his injured foot, with beat writer Greg Auman noting that the star wideout is likely to go down as a limited participant at Friday's session. That keeps the door open for the possibility of him playing against Washington, though his status remains murky after he didn't take the practice field on Wednesday or Thursday. Godwin could see more targets than usual if active with Antonio Brown (ankle) and Rob Gronkowski (back) likely to miss the game. Fantasy managers should pay close attention to the actives/inactives this Sunday ahead of the game against Washington.

  • Chris Godwin Missing Again Thursday

Tampa Bay Buccaneers wide receiver Chris Godwin (foot) was not seen on Thursday during the portion of practice open to the media. Godwin missed practice on Wednesday as well, so it looks like his new foot injury is serious enough to potentially keep him from playing in Week 10 against the Washington Football Team. And with Antonio Brown (ankle) and tight end Rob Gronkowski (back) still hurting as well, Tampa could be hurting for pass-catchers for quarterback Tom Brady this weekend. Godwin will need to return to practice on Friday to have a chance at playing. Fantasy managers need to plan for a potential absence from Godwin on Sunday. If both he and Brown are out, Tyler Johnson and rookie Jaelon Darden would see more playing time behind No. 1 wideout Mike Evans.

  • Chris Godwin Dealing With Foot Injury

Tampa Bay Buccaneers wide receiver Chris Godwin (foot) is dealing with a foot injury and his status for Week 10 against the Washington Football Team is uncertain, according to head coach Bruce Arians. With Antonio Brown (ankle) not looking likely to return this Sunday either, the Bucs could be severely short-handed this weekend, especially if starting tight end Rob Gronkowski (back) can't make it back. Godwin is a must-start fantasy asset anytime he's active, especially with Brown missing extended time with his ankle sprain. If Godwin can't go in Week 10, Tyler Johnson and rookie Jaelon Darden would complete three-receiver sets alongside Mike Evans.

  • Chris Godwin Records Season-High 140 Yards, Touchdown

Tampa Bay Buccaneers wide receiver Chris Godwin caught eight of 12 targets for 140 yards and a touchdown in a loss to New Orleans. With fellow receiver Antonio Brown (ankle) sidelined again and Mike Evans blanketed by the coverage of Marshon Lattimore, Godwin went to work, setting a new season-high in receiving yards while recording eight receptions for the second straight contest. The star wideout connected with quarterback Tom Brady in the red zone on a route over the middle of the field, sneaking into the end zone for his fourth score of the year. Godwin is heading into the Week 9 bye on fire, having eclipsed the century mark in receiving yards in each of his last two games played.

  • Chris Godwin - Week 8 Outlook for Fantasy Football

Tampa Bay Buccaneers wide receiver Chris Godwin should be in line to see heavy volume against the Saints in Week 8. Godwin has seen double-digit targets in two of his last three games, including last week against the Bears, where he delivered an 8-111-1 line in the blowout win. Antonio Brown (ankle) will miss another game- meaning that Godwin should see a healthy share of targets once again. He looks like an elite WR1/2 play against the Saints.

  • Chris Godwin Racks Up Season-High 111 Yards

Tampa Bay Buccaneers wide receiver Chris Godwin compiled eight receptions for a season-high 111 yards and one touchdown on 11 targets in Sunday's win over the Bears. Godwin showed out and put up his best total of the season while pacing the team in yards. The 25-year-old has been a solid contributor for Tampa this season, getting at least 60 yards in five of seven contests. With a stable target share, the Penn State product will loom around the WR1 tier going forward.

  • Chris Godwin - Week 7 Outlook for Fantasy Football

Tampa Bay Buccaneers wide receiver Chris Godwin is a low-end WR1 option against the Bears in Week 7. Godwin has had a decent season thus far, posting at least 55 yards in five of six contests before posting a season-low 43 yards last week. Nevertheless, the WR has generally been consistent and his role has been stable as well. This week, Antonio Brown (ankle) and Rob Gronkowski (ribs) have been ruled out, meaning Godwin and Mike Evans should see the most targets. As a result, the 25-year-old is a great start against a Bears team that is average against fantasy wideouts.
