  • Leonard Fournette Ruled Out For Week 12

Tampa Bay Buccaneers running back Leonard Fournette (hip) has been ruled out for the Week 12 matchup against the Cleveland Browns. The 27-year-old is still dealing with a hip injury that he suffered in Week 10. The Bucs are expected to use a committee approach to fill the void with Fournette unavailable. Rookie back Rachaad White is likely to have a heavy workload on Sunday. He's looking like a favorable flex option against a Browns defense that struggles to contain the rushing attack. Also, Giovani Bernard has been activated off the injured reserve. He should serve as the primary backup to White on Sunday. Possibly, Ke'Shawn Vaughn gets involved as well, but he won't be worth looking at in fantasy formats.

  • Leonard Fournette To Be Game-Day Decision

Tampa Bay Buccaneers running back Leonard Fournette (hip) has practiced in a limited fashion this week leading up to the game against the Cleveland Browns. Fournette suffered the injury in Week 10 against the Seattle Seahawks in Germany before Tampa Bay went on a Week 11 bye. He will reportedly be a game-day decision. If he's active, he'll be in a timeshare with rookie Rachaad White, who posted his first 100-yard rushing game against Seattle. Both will be solid flex plays, but either is at risk of producing a dud in the shared backfield. If Fournette is out, White is virtually a must-start against the Cleveland defense that has allowed the second-most fantasy points to running backs through 11 weeks.

  • Bucs To Ride Hot Hand At Running Back

Tampa Bay Buccaneers head coach Todd Bowles said the team would ride the hot hand at running back between Leonard Fournette and Rachaad White. Fournette is "pretty sore" with a hip injury he suffered in the Germany game and was a limited participant in practice Wednesday. "We'll see how he (Fournette) progresses, and if he can go, he'll go; if he can't, he won't," said Bowles. White filled in admirably when Fournette exited early in the Germany game against the Seahawks, rushing 22 times for 105 yards. Tampa Bay will ride the hot hand, and White could see the lion's share of the carries from the Bucs backfield after his Week 10 performance. Fantasy managers can start Fournette and White as flex plays until the backfield situation sorts itself out within the next few weeks.

  • Leonard Fournette Dealing With Hip Injury

Tampa Bay Buccaneers running back Leonard Fournette (hip) suffered a hip pointer injury in Week 10 against the Seattle Seahawks in Germany. The Buccaneers had their bye last week, giving the veteran running back time to heal from the injury. However, head coach Todd Bowles said Fournette is very sore. Bowles added that if the veteran can run at full speed during practice this week, Fournette would play on Sunday. However, if the former LSU star can't play, third-round rookie Rachaad White would get his first career start against the Cleveland Browns. The former Arizona State star had 105 rushing in the Week 10 matchup against the Seahawks, a career-high.

  • Leonard Fournette Likely To Be Ready After Bye

Despite suffering a hip pointer in the Week 10 win over the Seattle Seahawks in Germany, Tampa Bay Buccaneers running back Leonard Fournette (hip) is likely to be ready to play against the Cleveland Browns in Week 12 after the team's bye, according to sources. It's good news for Fournette's fantasy managers, but the question will now become, will rookie Rachaad White continue to see more backfield work after out-carrying Lenny 22 to 14 and outrushing him 105 to 57 in the win over Seattle. Despite the injury late in the game, Fournette averaged 4.1 yards per carry and scored on the ground. Even if Fournette doesn't miss any time with his hip pointer, it's clear that White has earned a larger share of the work next to Fournette in this backfield, making Fournette's rest-of-season outlook a bit cloudy.

  • Leonard Fournette Dealing With Hip Pointer

Tampa Bay Buccaneers running back Leonard Fournette has a hip pointer and will be evaluated further, head coach Todd Bowles told the media. Fournette operated behind Rachaad White in Week 10 but still managed to produce 58 scrimmage yards and one touchdown. The Buccaneers are heading into their bye week, so Fournette has plenty of time to recover before Tampa Bay takes on the Cleveland Browns in Week 12.

  • Leonard Fournette Doubtful To Return Sunday

Tampa Bay Buccaneers wide receiver Leonard Fournette (hip) is doubtful to return against the Seattle Seahawks in Week 10. It has been a rough game for the veteran back, who lost his starting job to Rachaad White, threw an interception on a failed trick play, and then exited with his injury. He finished the day with 14 carries, 57 rushing yards, and one touchdown. On a positive note, the Buccaneers are on bye next week, so Fournette has plenty of time to recover.

  • Leonard Fournette A Risky Start Against Seattle

Tampa Bay Buccaneers running back Leonard Fournette has struggled to find running room and has been held under 25 yards in three straight weeks. He reportedly was "extremely frustrated" for being kept out of a drive late in the first half of the Week 9 win over the Los Angeles Rams. The 27-year-old is averaging 3.3 yards per carry and will look to rebound against the Seattle Seahawks in Week 10. Seattle is in the middle of the pack against the run and ranks 14th in rush DVOA. Fournette has struggled mightily and lost touches to Rachaad White recently, making him a risky RB2 against Seattle in Week 10.

  • Leonard Fournette "Extremely Frustrated" With His Role

A report from CBS Sports during the Tampa Bay Buccaneers' Week 9 game against the Los Angeles Rams indicated that running back Leonard Fournette was "extremely frustrated" for being held out of a drive late in the first half. Fournette finished with only 19 yards on nine carries, while rookie Rachaad White had five carries for 18 yards on that drive when Fournette was held out. White consoled Fournette afterward, telling him "we need you." Lenny had 1,266 yards and 10 touchdowns in 2021, but he has struggled to produce this year for an offense that ranks last in rushing (60.7 yards per game). Since going for 127 yards on 21 carries in Week 1, Fournette has averaged 2.8 yards per attempt with two rushing TDs. The 27-year-old has been held under 25 rushing yards in three straight games, but he's staying relevant in PPR leagues.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers running back Leonard Fournette had nine carries for 19 yards and caught five of seven targets for 41 yards in Sunday's 16-13 win over the Los Angeles Rams. He couldn't find any running room and was bottled up in Sunday's victory. The veteran back was held under 25 rushing yards in the third straight contest. However, the 27-year-old has caught at least five passes in three of the last five games. The 27-year-old has struggled to find running room due to the offensive line's recent struggles. He will look to bounce back against the LA Rams on Sunday, who rank 19th in rush DVOA this season. Fournette should lead Tampa Bay's backfield and is a solid starting option against the Rams in Week 9.

  • Leonard Fournette Finds The End Zone In Thursday's Loss

Tampa Bay Buccaneers running back Leonard Fournette rushed nine times for 24 yards and secured all three targets for 34 yards in Thursday's 27-22 loss to the Baltimore Ravens. He punched it in from the one-yard line during the first quarter to put the Bucs on the scoreboard. The 27-year-old wasn't efficient on the ground and averaged just 2.66 yards per carry in Thursday's loss. The veteran has only logged 43 rushing yards over 17 attempts over his last games. Despite his recent struggles to find running room, Fournette remains a borderline RB1 in a tough matchup against the Rams in Week 9.

  • Leonard Fournette Remains A Borderline RB1 Against Baltimore

Tampa Bay Buccaneers running back Leonard Fournette was held in check against the Carolina Panthers in Week 7. He rushed eight times for 19 yards and brought in two of three targets for seven yards in last Sunday's loss. The 27-year-old will look to bounce back against the Baltimore Ravens Thursday night. Baltimore has been solid against the run and ranks eighth in rush DVOA. Fournette has been unable to find any running room and has eclipsed over 70 yards rushing just once this season. The veteran has more fantasy appeal in PPR formats, evidenced by his 34 receptions out of the backfield. Fantasy managers can start Fournette as a borderline RB1/2 against the Ravens in Week 8.

  • Leonard Fournette Held To 19 Rushing Yards In Loss

Tampa Bay Buccaneers running back Leonard Fournette rushed eight times for 19 yards and brought in two of three targets for seven yards in Sunday's 21-3 loss to the Carolina Panthers. He struggled to find any running room and averaged 2.4 yards per carry. The 27-year-old received only two more attempts than backfield teammate Rachaad White. His 19 rushing yards were the second-lowest total of the season. Tampa Bay's offense has struggled over the last two weeks and will look to get back on track against the Baltimore Ravens on Thursday night. Fournette remains an RB1 despite Sunday's abysmal performance.

  • Leonard Fournette A Top-10 Option In Week 7

The Panthers allow 133 rushing yards per game and rank 25th in rush DVOA. Tampa Bay has leaned heavily on Fournette as he received at least 20 rushing attempts three times this season. The 27-year-old has rushed for 343 yards on 95 carries and a touchdown while catching 32 passes for 232 yards and three scores over six games in 2022. Fournette remains a strong fantasy option, especially in PPR formats, and is a must-start in Week 7.

He was second on the team in targets and receptions while scoring the team's lone touchdown in Sunday's loss. Tom Brady connected with Fournette for an 11-yard touchdown in the fourth quarter. The veteran back has now caught at least five passes in four straight games. Tampa Bay will continue to rely on Fournette and is a borderline RB1 against the Carolina Panthers in Week 7.

  • Leonard Fournette A Mid-Range RB1 Against The Steelers

Tampa Bay Buccaneers running back Leonard Fournette faces a Pittsburgh Steelers defense in Week 6 that ranks 18th in rush DVOA. The 27-year-old hasn't rushed for more than 65 yards per game in the last four weeks but is producing for fantasy managers as a receiver. He has 22 catches for 175 receiving yards and two touchdowns in the previous three weeks. Fournette plays a vital role in Tampa Bay's passing game and is considered a mid-range RB1 against a Steelers defense that ranks 14th against opposing running backs in 2022.

He led the team in rushing attempts, rushing yards, catches, and receiving yards in Sunday's victory. The 27-year-old punched it in from one yard out and caught a one-yard touchdown from Tom Brady for both his scores. Brady checked down 11 times to Fournette in Sunday's in, and the veteran back has now caught at least five passes over his last three games. Fournette should see a heavy workload against the Pittsburgh Steelers in Week 6.

The 27-year-old has been used as a receiver out of the backfield, catching 12 passes and a touchdown over the last two weeks. He will look to bounce back against the Atlanta Falcons in Week 5. Fournette has a solid matchup as Atlanta's defense ranks 17th in rush DVOA this season. Despite the lack of rushing volume the last two weeks, Fournette is a must-start against Atlanta in Week 5.

  • Leonard Fournette Posts Receiver Numbers In Week 4 Loss

Tampa Bay Buccaneers running back Leonard Fournette rushed three times for a loss of three yards and caught all seven of his targets for 57 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's 41-31 loss to the Kansas City Chiefs. Tampa Bay fell behind early and abandoned the running game. The Bucs attempted to run the ball just six times between Fournette and backfield teammate Rachaad White in the Week 4 loss. White vultured a touchdown and saw an increase in usage in Sunday's loss. Fournette did all of his damage through the passing game and hauled in a five-yard touchdown reception in the first quarter. The veteran back has struggled through the ground in his last three games but is a borderline RB1 against the Atlanta Falcons in Week 5.

The 27-year-old did have his best game as a pass catcher, reeling in a season-high four passes. Tampa Bay's offense has struggled this season and has reached the 20-point mark just once in three games. Fournette will look to bounce back against the Kansas City Chiefs in Week 4 in what is projected to be a high-scoring battle.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers running back Leonard Fournette (hamstring) is active for Week 3 against the Green Bay Packers. He had been listed as questionable. With Mike Evans (suspension), Chris Godwin (hamstring), and Julio Jones (knee) sidelined, the Buccaneers could rely on a heavy dose of Fournette against Green Bay this week. He should be viewed as a fringe top-12 back in fantasy football.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers running back Leonard Fournette (hamstring) is expected to play against the Green Bay Packers in Week 3, according to Adam Schefter of ESPN. He had been listed as questionable. Fournette has amassed 192 rushing yards and 19 receiving yards this season, putting him at RB19 on the year (in PPR leagues). With Mike Evans suspended and many other receivers dealing with injuries, the Buccaneers could rely on the running game against Green Bay this week. Fournette should be viewed as a fringe top-12 back in fantasy football.

  • Leonard Fournette Given Questionable Tag

Tampa Bay Buccaneers running back Leonard Fournette (hamstring) is listed as questionable for Week 3 against the Green Bay Packers after putting in limited practices all week. Fournette was also questionable last week against the New Orleans Saints, but he suited up and played 87 percent of the offensive snaps while handling 24 carries for 65 yards. So far, rookie Rachaad White hasn't been a threat to the 27-year-old's lead-back role in Tampa through two weeks of the season. As long as Lenny doesn't suffer a setback on Saturday, it would be a surprise if he's not active against Green Bay. Fantasy managers should consider him a low-end RB1 play in Week 3.

  • Leonard Fournette Limited To Begin The Week

Tampa Bay Buccaneers running back Leonard Fournette (hamstring) was listed as a limited participant in Wednesday's practice. Fournette has been bothered by a minor hamstring injury early this year, but he managed to play 87 percent of the offensive snaps in the Week 2 win over the New Orleans Saints, carrying the ball 24 times for 65 yards. He also caught two of four targets for nine yards. Barring some sort of setback, the 27-year-old lead back should be just fine for a Week 3 meeting with the Green Bay Packers on Sunday. While fantasy managers wouldn't mind a little more production from Lenny, the good news is rookie Rachaad White hasn't been a threat to his workload so far through the first two weeks.

  • Leonard Fournette Gets Shut Down In Win

Tampa Bay Buccaneers running back Leonard Fournette totaled 26 touches but produced just 74 yards and zero touchdowns. The New Orleans Saints continue to be a difficult matchup for the Buccaneers, so it's smart to simply wipe this game away when projecting the future for the Bucs' offensive weapons. Fournette continues to have one of the highest ceilings among all fantasy RBs, so continue to start him in fantasy lineups in all matchups. The Bucs' offense looks to rebound against the Green Bay Packers in Week 3.

  • Leonard Fournette Active For Week 2

Tampa Bay Buccaneers running back Leonard Fournette (hamstring) is officially active for Week 2 against the New Orleans Saints. He entered Sunday listed as questionable after being limited in practice all week. Fournette was quite impressive against the Cowboys in Week 1, totaling 137 scrimmage yards. With Chris Godwin (hamstring) and Julio Jones (knee) sidelined in Week 2, Fournette should remain a pivotal part of the Bucs' gameplan. He projects as a low-end RB1 and should be started in all fantasy football leagues.

  • Donovan Smith Won't Play In Week 2

Tampa Bay Buccaneers offensive tackle Donovan Smith (elbow) has been ruled out for the Week 2 matchup against the New Orleans Saints. This Bucs o-line continues to lose starters, which could impact their offensive success. Luckily, Tristan Wirfs (abdomen) is expected to play despite dealing with an injury. Josh Wells is expected to fill in for Smith for this Sunday's contest. He allowed two pressures on 19 pass-blocking reps last season. The Bucs will likely lean on the running game with their wide receivers banged up. Leonard Fournette could be in for a big game, assuming this o-line can hold up.

  • Leonard Fournette Likely Good To Go Against Saints

Tampa Bay Buccaneers running back Leonard Fournette (hamstring) is expected to play on Sunday against New Orleans. The veteran is dealing with a hamstring ailment, forcing him to practice in a limited capacity during the week. Fortunately, it doesn't appear serious enough to keep him off the field for the NFC South matchup. Fournette looked good against the Cowboys in Week 1, finishing the night with 127 yards off 21 carries while catching both of his targets for 10 yards. Nonetheless, despite the potential that Fournette could be limited physically, fantasy managers should keep him going in Week 2, even against a challenging Saints defense.

  • Leonard Fournette Draws Questionable Tag

Tampa Bay Buccaneers running back Leonard Fournette (hamstring) is listed as questionable for the Week 2 contest against the New Orleans Saints. Fournette was able to practice on a limited basis all week, so there seems to be a pretty good chance that he'll be active and serving as the team's lead back this weekend. The 27-year-old played 76 percent of the offensive snaps and handled 21 carries for 127 yards in the Week 1 win over the Dallas Cowboys, also chipping in two catches for 10 yards. Fantasy managers will want to check his status again on Sunday morning, but if he's active, Fournette is an RB1 play. If he's inactive or limited at all against the Saints, rookie Rachaad White would be in for a bigger workload.

  • Leonard Fournette Remains Limited Thursday

Tampa Bay Buccaneers running back Leonard Fournette (hamstring) was a limited participant in practice on Thursday for the second straight day. It's good news for the Bucs after receivers Mike Evans (calf), Chris Godwin (hamstring) and Julio Jones (knee) all missed practice. Godwin was already expected to miss Week 2 against the New Orleans Saints, but if one or both of Evans and Jones are also inactive, it will just mean even more work for Fournette and rookie backup Rachaad White. The 27-year-old Fournette had 21 carries for 127 yards and also caught both of his targets for 10 yards in the Week 1 win over the Dallas Cowboys. Barring something unforeseen, Fournette should check in as a low-end RB1 for fantasy managers this weekend.

  • Leonard Fournette Dealing With Hamstring Injury

Tampa Bay Buccaneers running back Leonard Fournette (hamstring) was listed as being a limited participant in practice on Wednesday. It doesn't appear that Fournette is dealing with a serious injury, as he handled 76% of the snaps in Sunday night's Week 1 win over the Dallas Cowboys, carrying the ball 21 times for 127 yards while also catching both of his targets for 10 yards. However, it's a reminder that Fournette's fantasy managers may want to handcuff him with rookie Rachaad White. As long as Fournette doesn't suffer a setback this week, he'll be a must-start in a divisional clash with the New Orleans Saints in Week 2.

Fournette rushed for 812 yards on 180 attempts and eight touchdowns while catching 69 passes for 454 yards and two scores in 2021. The veteran has a solid matchup in a projected high-scoring affair in Week 1 against the Dallas Cowboys, who ranked 16th in rush DVOA last season. Fournette is a borderline RB1 and should be started in all league formats in Week 1.

  • Leonard Fournette's Usage To Be Down This Year?

Tampa Bay Buccaneers running back Leonard Fournette only hit 80 percent of the team's offensive snaps last year once in the first 10 games. Then he did it in three straight games before suffering a hamstring injury. The Athletic's Greg Auman thinks the Bucs much prefer Fournette to be in the 60-70 percent range while utilizing their depth to help. Lenny was reamed for looking to be out of shape during offseason workouts, but he looked noticeably slimmer by the time training camp began. Rookie Rachaad White will be involved as a change-of-pace option, and the team still has pass-catching back Giovani Bernard in the fold. Fournette remains Tampa's lead back, but a slight reduction in workload this year could make him more of a high-end RB2 than an RB1 in fantasy.

  • Buccaneers Place Ryan Jensen On Injured Reserve

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers have placed center Ryan Jensen (knee) on Injured Reserve, guaranteeing he'll miss at least the first four games. The team decided to put him on IR instead of the Physically Unable to Perform list in case the 31-year-old is able to return to action later in the season. This is a big blow considering their offensive line has already suffered multiple injuries leading into the season. The expectation is that third-round pick Robert Hainsey will fill in as his replacement. These injuries will directly impact quarterback Tom Brady and lead back Leonard Fournette, who could struggle to find the same level of success they have previously. The number of injuries to their offensive line warrant fading these two players a few spots in your draft and instead considering other similarly talented options.
